The hotel staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. The amenities were very good.
The hotel is perfectly situated near the highway so that it's easy to travel east or west. Close to forest park. Friendly staff. My daughter's loved the pool.
Loved the included big breakfast and the 5:30 "kickback" (basically, happy hour with free drinks and appetizers). Very friendly, helpful staff. Secure parking garage.
Noisy AC which had to be reset to work dirty shower walls, musty smell. Modest breakfast, but fresh and delicious. Accommodating staff and unparalleled decor. Overall, too expensive.
We loved getting to stay somewhere that was pretty much rich in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go and see, but avoid the mass traffic of the city. This was our second time to St. Louis together and we definitely can't wait to make it back out to The Cheshire. It was everything we were looking for in a hotel. Plus the continental breakfast may have been small, but the quality made up for the quantity by far.
The Cheshire is a quirky British castle and authors based 'Lodge". Each room is named for an author and has a copy of one of the writer's works with a bio bookmark for each guest. (I have, over the years, enjoyed Auden & Isherwood, and now Laurence Sterne.) The windows on each floor and in each room are leaded pale colored diamonds. The reception area boasts heavy wooden furniture, a bear, and "Oriental" rugs over tile. The front desk and bar staff are superb! Nice pleasant people. The pool area is inviting even in non-swim weather, with standing heaters and a firepit. Too much fun, and reasonably quiet for a full hotel. Guest with relatives in lounge area espousing ethnic and religious prejudices (?!) loud enough for others, including me, at separate tables to show surprise. Not a common experience at The Lodge!
Fun and charming theme, great location, and excellent staff!
Great location, nice staff Terrible facility. Old, dirty, run-down rooms and lobby. Filthy carpet, bathroom; windows. Old everything that hasn't been renovated/upgraded in decades. What a shame as it's a great old building in a great location and could be a real winner. Needs a full makeover and owner that cares!
No carpeting in rooms. I hate carpeting! Free airport shuttle! Looks like they "might" be remodeling? Saw construction workers, but only in one room. Pergo flooring versus hardwood. Dirty hallways, multiple items scratched, dinged or falling apart. Mishmash of styles: trying to be a nice hotel and failing miserably! Dirty!
Location. The executive tower is nicer than the basic rooms
The hotel is beautiful, the indoor/outdoor pool is heated and you swim under the wall to go inside and out. There is a game room next to the pool that has arcade games which are free to play even though there are coin slots. The complimentary breakfast was great and included made to order waffles and omelette's. This is the only hotel I have stayed at where the OWNER walked around and said hi to everyone and also left his card which included his direct phone number. There is a pub 1 block away that looked very nice (lamborghini's, BMW's, and Mercedes' parked outside lead me to believe it's a high class place) there is also a police station across the street so I could consider it pretty safe. The only thing I did not like about this place was my room smelled bad, like body odor. I bought some Febreeze but it didn't help for long.
Crowne Plaza has all the amenities and fine details of a luxury hotel at a competitive price. Full-service breakfast buffet far exceeded the standard "continental breakfast," employees friendly and helpful. Great location near WashU. Standard room perfect for my needs. Everything was great with my stay.
The staff here are very nice and work hard to accommodate guests. And the wifi is free, which in this day and age should always be the case. Breakfast was OK. For less cost, I could have gotten a more respectable experience at a Holiday Inn. My first room was so dismal (drawer fronts falling off, sink in the main room, so far from the lobby on the first floor that it felt like a basement) that I asked to be moved. The second room was an improvement, but the bathroom sink didn't drain (annoying when brushing teeth) and in general both rooms were outdated and worn. The bathrooms badly need updating. There was little to delight this hotel guest.
Helpful, friendly, caring and efficient!
We all were extremely impressed with the level of luxury for the cost of the stay. The pools were clean, warm, and beautiful. Wood floors, pillowtop mattresses, and ceiling fans brought all the comforts of home together in the room itself. Breakfast was filling and delicious although I would have preferred a tidier eating environment. The floors in restaurant were dirty and the wait staff was inattentive. Having said that, the stay overall was more than satisfactory and Clayton Plaza will be where we'll stay when we visit STL in the future.
Free wifi included. Beds are really comfortable. Dual sinks. Good water pressure. Close to everything we needed. Nice interior Elevators are confusing. Street noise is loud and comes through even on 4th floor.
The breakfast omelet was made to your liking right in front of you and buffet was real food and the indoor/outdoor pool was nice and warm while steam came off my head outdoor on a morning swim we will be back
The staff was terrible and I was charged three times for a room I did not receive. They gave my room to someone else.
Value for the money was good. They needed more staff working the continental breakfast to keep up.
Overall a good stay. No big complaints, except maybe the distance from any attractions.
Very polite and accommodating staff. High quality rooms and food breakfast
the Manager in the lobby area talking with the guests was a comforting touch. he was making sure the stay was good and asking about our trip, why when etc... N/A. the only thing i did not care for was our room was next to the elevator sooo first thing in the morning you could hear it for some time, other than that facility was very good.
Convenient to Blues hockey. Shuttle available or walkable if you don't mind eight or ten blocks. Nice rooms, hot breakfast and pet friendly with some reasonable rules. Close to nice dining and pubs. Bed was a little firm for me but I admit I like them softer than most folks do.
...most of the time. First room was worn/soiled and the bathroom had an 'under construction' look where a large piece of artwork was missing. Desk staff took quite awhile finding a replacement room for 2nd and 3rd nights, but that room was more to my liking. A big gripe is lack of counter space in the bathroom and awful bathroom lighting. Manager and breakfast servers were friendly and efficient.
Pool was small, crowded and a little dirty - we didn't get to use it. Otherwise the location and staff were great!!
Great room, breakfast, Wifi connection, restaurant One person on the staff -- doing hospitality in the afternoon -- was kind of rude.
Everything. Very nice place to stay. Parking garage technology malfunction detained us and a couple other guests for about 1/2 hour.
The location was very near the hospital. I had one of the newly renovated/decorated rooms. The poolside restaurant was very nice in the evenings. I will stay here again during my next visit.
The hotel is beautiful, with a real air of luxury. At a very affordable price too. However I ate here and will not be repeating the experience. The food was so bland it was like eating cardboard. My guest had a different dish and had the same opinion. It was the most bizarre dining experience I have ever had. It looked appetizing but tasted of nothing. I would also like to comment that although luxurious the hotel is rather stingy, you have to pay for wifi and the business centre. The 20% room service charge was excessive. Poor tv channels too. I'd still come back though as such a gorgeous place in a fabulous location.
The staff were able to accommodate every request. Our club level suite was well-appointed and comfortable. The club lounge concierges were all very attentive and courteous. Front desk staff was the same. The fitness center, Sante, is an actual fitness club to which hotel guests have access. This club had top-notch equipment and facilities, making this the best hotel gym I've ever experienced. I will stay here again for the gym alone. An excellent experience overall, and we are looking forward to our next visit. Like a lot of hotels, the sink and bathtub drained very slowly.
I love the Art Deco building. The rooms are comfortable. It's location near restaurants, bars and the park is terrific. Our room was quiet dispite the the festivities going on in the hotel.
Location, facilities and architecture were excellent. Room was a bit dated.
friendly staff, convenient services.
Has a cinema inside, nice pool, and good location if you want to have some nice bars and restaurants to go to Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Room was given to us with a king when a queen was requested Room keys rarely work after the first time especially in the self park garage Rooms are in general pretty old and outdated, hence the uncomfortable beds
Location, decor, facilities. The outdoor pool is great. One of St. Louis's classic hotels that has more than maintained its beauty and panache.
Friendly staff. Clean nicely furnished room. Very comfortable bed. A larger TV.
Friendly staff, great service, up and coming area, close to downtown Not much - just that we had to leave
Vibe and people
I absolutely love this hotel! The location, staff, decor, and comfort is top notch! I was able to check in much earlier than most other hotels, which provides much convenience for travelers who arrive earlier than "check in" times.
great place needs a pool, rooftop bar was awesome
Walking distance to Wash Univ Nothing
This is a great hotel and the staff was wonderful. We loved the rooftop deck. The hotel room was very nice - modern, chic and spacious! The bed was so comfortable! The hotel is situated in an eclectic area of St. Louis. Walking distance to various bars and unique restaurants.
The waterfall shower was very nice The pillows aren't comfortable
Vibe No pool or shuttle
As mentioned by several other reviewers, the Moonrise is quirky and eccentric with its design and decorations, but that is what makes it so fun. The rooms were very clean and offered little trinkets that would not be found other places. A very enjoyable experience. TV reception was very poor.
Loved the location, and the bars in the buildings. Staff was nice. Room was clean. No problem getting a late check out. Asked for a king bed, got two fulls. No bathtub which was highly disappointing, I love long baths when I'm away since it's not something I get at home. Security was quite brash. It was a weekend night, but come on. They were being louder then the kids they were looking for. Smoking area could be much better! And for the price, breakfast was not included and a salmon bagel at the Eclipse was 16 dollars. Only will go back for its convince to the Pageant.
The room was huge and very nice. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. The pool was a little small but the jacuzzi was very spacious. The location was really nice and there was more than ample parking. Really nothing. The pool is pretty small (especially if u have little ones).
My husband and I enjoyed being on the club level with the convenience of the buffet breakfast and the availability of a computer for our use on the same floor. We also liked the colors and decor in the room. Our room was a bit small -- it would have been nice to have a little more space and an extra arm chair.
staff was very helpful and friendly condition of hotel lobby, halls and rooms was poor
Club level was nice and offered free breakfast and wifi Furnishings were worn. Ie. Chair and carpet
Friendly staff Carpets in hall and in our room were stained. i get stains out of my carpet, don't know why they cant. Its gross. We had noisy neighbors that kept us up most the night, but staff did take care of it for us. The friendly staff is the reason I gave 3 stars. location is in a safe part of St. Louis.
Our room was in the middle of the Irish Dance Competition - and next to the elevator. TERRIBLE room.
Pretty My window outlookef the hallway.
Very nice and helpful front staff Close proximity to the mall and restaurants.
no Wi-Fi, couldn't sleep because of constantant work being done all I heard was bbanbang throughout the nighte so I couldn't sleep at all either night
I liked the location. The heat strips in the room took too long to warm up.
It was clean and updated. Very pleasing to the eye. Could hear people talking outside our room on their way to their room at night.
Abnormally small room. It was a closet, the pictures were misleading.
Nice room, very clean. Very nice TV. Would return! No mini fridge
Fairly close to downtown, restaurants nearby, convenient to 64-40, friendly staff.
Convenient location Very small room. During our 4 night/3 day stay, housekeeping provided full service for 1 day only. Some of the staff members were very friendly and helpful, while others were not.
Within walking distance of the Galleria of St. Louis and other shops and restaurants.
Good not get 2 beds

Plenty of space. Even had a basketball court for my son. Pool not open before 9:00 am. Wanted to swim early in the day.
Friendly and accommodating staff. The room was spacious, clean and cozy. Right next to the metra station so it was very convenient and located next to nice shopping areas. Bed was comfy and breakfast tasty! Always enjoy staying at Residence Inns. The only thing I could criticize would be how little parking there was. We found parking always but there were NO leftover spaces so it may have been a problem for others. Also not a lot of light in the room. Minimal things of course.

The staff were friendly and helpful More pillow firmness choices
We had to change rooms as the ac was not working properly.
I loved how close this hotel was to restaurants and shopping. I also loved that it had a full kitchen.
Great location and friendly staff. None.
location. nope b
Clean and comfortable
The lady at front desk was phenomenal
Food, location, and atmosphereven were all 5 stars!
Free covered parking, good breakfast, clean rooms. Generally just good amenities. The free evening food and drinks ends at 7 and we just missed it. This was obviously our own fault for not arriving on time, but it's still a little disappointing that the free drinks don't run as late as they do at most other hotels. The hotel staff accidentally told us the wrong room number, so we were trying to see if any of our keys worked when someone answered the door! Not a big deal, just a bit of a shock.
All the extras- breakfast, fastbreak, drinks. My car battery was dead upon check out, I told the very hospitable woman at the check out counter and within 5 minutes the maintanence guy was there and had my car started for me, free of charge! the bed was very uncomfortable!
Free parking, decent wifi. No window in the room. Poor bathroom design (couldn't open the door if someone was at the sink). 1 elevator and it takes forever to get anywhere. The location feels a little creepy if you are walking back at night.
We were staying at the STL Union Station Drury for Pride weekend. The staff are always kind, helpful and attentive to your needs. Having the complementary breakfast and the "5:30 Kickback" is great as well. It was walking distance from all that we wanted to see and do on this weekend. Loved the stay, will do it again! We had a third person with us and opted for the roll away bed. The first one we received had a bug in it.Once notified, the staff quickly replaced it but the mattress on the second bed left a lot to be desired. Very flat and uncomfortable.
Pretty much everything, the extra s definitely don't cost extra.love all the free food and drink at Happy hour Beds seemed small and not the most comfortable.
Great value with free parking, breakfast, and happy hour. Staff was courteous and friendly. Easy walk to Scottrade Center. Enjoyed dinner at Lombardo's too. Would stay here again. Staff apologized for construction but it was quiet over the weekend and didn't bother us at all. (Was told construction would end March 2016.) Room was on the small side but comfortable.
Location is good. Pool hours!
It's in a great location only 5-10 minutes away from all the things we wanted to do in St Louis. The staff was nice and helpful with anything we asked for. The beds weren't super comfortable and we had a hard time keeping the room a comfortable temperature. The unit was set to 65 and it felt more like 75.
Easy driving location to our destinations of SLU and Wash U for college visits. Bonus close to zoo for a little down time and nice grocery, public library and simple retail (Target) down the street. Simple, and efficient business center that we used. Recycle garbage cans in room a great idea! Would of preferred simple breakfast included and a map of the nearby restaurants (local) and attractions would be helpful.
Rooms were clean. Great location for attending the zoo. When having dinner, the dining room was closed so we had to eat in the Bar. Service was still good. Older hotel and showing a little wear and tear.
Most of the staff were outstanding in all areas. The chef (Fernanda) cooked like a dream. Desk staff were extremely helpful and tried to meet all my needs. Even took pictures for me. Would recommend to anyone. Location undeveloped but liked that actually. Only a few minutes to most things. Easy access and location for freeways. Kitchen staff seemed unappreciated and stressed but might also account for excellent service. Only thing that was a pain was that I had to check in and out a few times because of the way booking.com reserved the rooms to get the best rates. Need to work with Hilton so that doesn't have to happen, I would think. Especially if you send them a high volume of business.
Location, friendly staff and price
It was bright, spacious, clean and had good quality amenities. NA
I enjoyed everything To much chlorine in the pool couldn't enjoy swimming.
The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I room was very spacious. When I got there on Saturday afternoon there was a pizza box outside one of the rooms in my hallway and when we left Sunday afternoon it was still there. They should not have left stuff out in the general areas where anyone passing by could see.
Everything was just as advertised. Not one thing less nor one thing more It's quite away from downtown but not too far and the staff was polite but not that helpful
Perfect location, front desk clerk cj was very accomodating. I appreciated the directions. The room was great with the newer indemities flat screen walk in shower etc... The breakfast area seemed nice but only had coffee to go Thank-you Rodney
The room was large and well appointed, furniture was comfortable, bed was great. It was close to the airport, which suited us. I would stay again Nothing really
good location and easy access to intestate highways; parking was convenient; easy checkout
Ease of getting there, location close to meeting local, friendly service, and excellent government rate. Charge for internet in room.
The majority of the concierge staff was nice and helpful. Some were not polite and even though communication wasn't impolite, their face expression would say it all and came across as if you were bothering them or made it seem like u were asking for too much. On a good note, the weather was really cold and appreciated how they had hot chocolate for guest and cups with lids. That made it very helpful for me as a mom as my kids were able to have some . Did not like the cleaning staff. One in particular made a facial expression like she didn't care of my needs. I made the concierge aware and from there don't know but I continued to have issues with getting our room clean. With lil ones, u have to have a clean sanitized rm. Also, even when they clean, u can tell that no effort is placed in making sure it's sanitized as our shower curtain was dirty, underneath the sink was dusty, and I dropped an earring and was able to see that the very bottom was super dirty, hairs, and god knows what else. Overall cleaning, 1 star! I also don't think cleaning crew was unhappy with us due to that we would always step out the rm past 12pm and would let them know that they could clean and of course they wouldn't say yes or no and would give me a stare like "whatever". On one occasion our rm wasn't cleaned! My experience wasn't what I would have expected from a Hilton.
Excellent facility at a great price; convenient to airport. No
Upon arrival we were immediately assisted by Oscar from the door entry, over to the check in counter, and to our room. He was a fabulous assistance to me as I had two suit cases and husband in wheel chair. Also your restauant staff was exceptional to all guests in the dining room. We definitely will stay with you again.
Close to the airport, easy check in and check out. The bath products were great! The facilities are VERY old. They do not match the photos online. Everything is painted dark brown with old fashioned wood decor. Very uncomfortable and I had a hard time sleeping. I was also sleeping next to the ice machine and walls were incredibly thin. (again, old)
The staff was very friendly. The parking process was not very good. My card never worked to open the gate. Also, I thought the resteraunt was slightly over priced bases on the quality of food.
I love convent it was to the terminals and surround by hotels and restaurants and taxi available if need anytime, also shuttle service to airport every 15mins...it took me less than 3mins to check out and go outside to wait for the shuttle 7mins then get to the airport in 5mins. $10 to park a night, the closet is small, the iron didn't work, the bathroom corner needs to be clean better maybe taken a vacuum cleaner to clean out the edges. The Queen size bed is on the small size.
Good location by airport. 24/7 airport pick up No sheets for pullout couch. Called twice. Finally went down to the lobby at midnight. Got sheets. Unacceptable There was a gap around the door to the hall 1/2 to 1inch wide. Every time someone walked by talking (which was often), we were disturbed.....and this happened late at night I would not stay here again
Pros Clean Service comfort ammentities Cons No Hot tub Pool Area Cold Pool Water Cold Pool Water excessive clorine
The hotel was clean, tidy and the room was perfect for a one night stay. Well organised shuttle service tot he airport. Free popcorn and soda for guests up to 10pm! No restaurant however and the Italian restaurant next door served the most awful pizza we have ever experienced!
Across the street from airport Superb shuttle service no matter what time of day Fresh, clean, sharp rooms Very good breakfast buffet No negatives
Cleanliness; food. Security staff.

Was 1/2 block from Washington & Barnes as I see the surgeons & have test to prepare for a Liver Transplant. Had enclosed walkway to appointments. Hotel let us leave car where parked until appointments over. Did find brochure at doctor office for room rate of $--- but was charged $---. Was charged to park vehicle I. Garage as there was no other place to park`; did note know was charge to park.
Friendly, helpful staff. Shuttle was nice. Location great, lots of restaurants close by and Metro nearby. Taking Metro back to airport was easy and cheap vs taxi. Cookies! Breakfast the same every day. Not many healthy options. Yogurt and more fresh fruit would be a good option.
I loved this hotel. It was located in a great area. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was very nice and smelled wonderful. The bed as extremely comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. I will definitely stay here again when visiting.

Great location near Forest Park. Room was very clean and comfortable. Good hot breakfast. Rooms are a little smaller than one might expect. Free shuttle service is a great service, but the driver was 20 minutes late for our scheduled pick-up (at the hotel) and did not call ahead to give notice.

The location was perfect! Within walking distance to multiple shops, restaurants, and bars. Also within walking distance to a Metro stop -- easy access to downtown! The hotel messed up our bill and ended up over charging us for an extra night. They fixed the mistake but it took a while and did not offer anything to us for the inconvenience.
The close proximity to the hospital was very important to me, since my daughter was there for surgery. quite expensive for what you get.
The free breakfast had lots of things to choose from. The parking deck for the hotel was a little difficult. The arrows didn't show two lanes of traffic.
This is an older 'classic' Slept like a baby, great staff, good location. I was there during a brutal business trip...felt like home as soon as I reached my room!! Thanks no
Our room was small but comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The view was great--we overlooked Busch Stadium. The location was also perfect for walking around downtown St. Louis. For a really spectacular view, head to 360, but be forewarned, you can't get there without the assistance of staff. We tried and wandered aimlessly. We did not utilize the gym or pool, but they looked nice. The shower was awful. When going away for whatever reason or for however long, it is imperative to have a decent shower. Our hotel shower had low pressure, a weak stream, and we didn't feel clean afterwards. When we got home, the first thing we did was take a nice hot shower. r The hotel seems to have updated everything but the rooms. The Market Bistro was very pleasant; all staff was more than friendly and accommodating. There wasn't a bartender behind the lobby bar, so we couldn't just grab a quick drink there; we'd have to go into the Market Bistro. Also, if you need anything such as deodorant, a toothbrush, or a nail clipper, you won't be able to get these in the gift shop. Slim pickings down there. We left for all of our meals, cocktails, and any forgotten items.
Convenient, nice parking arrangement (not too pricey for the city), restaurant/bar at the top of the hotel was very good! The elevators, though usually efficient, were occasionally slow. It was also a bit difficult to regulate the temperature of the room.
Location and roof top bar. Didnt have hot tub working at pool. Pricry.
Room 1230 has a wonderful view of Busch stadium. Terrible pillows. The staff had issues with our reservation. They had a notation in computer to charge the room to an AmEX. We don't have an AmEX. The room was overpriced.
Very friendly staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful...loved the views from my room and the bed was extremely comfy
Elevators are horrible in the east tower 1 is only used for the bar on the roof..it took us 20 minutes to get an elevator from our room on the 9th floor to the lobby because the elevators available to guests staying at the hotelweree full everytime
So close to everything downtown, but the hotel is also very nice--they are not trading a nice place to stay for just the location. And the place was very popular, people enjoying the lobby and going up to rooftop bar, even though the Cardinals were out of town.
Great view of the stadium! Breakfast buffet was delicious! East tower elevators had long wait time.
The proximity to the Arch & Ballpark was great as well as the other downtown spots. Never really felt like we needed a taxi except when we went to the Budweiser Brewery. The welcome desk & concierge staff were very friendly & informative. The only cons I have about this hotels is the elevator w/ the keypads were always backed up, there is no free wi-fi, & the rooms didn't have a fridge. Other than that the hotel was nice.
Location only good thing Parking not included and rooms smelled weird and some of staff were very rude! Not worth the price we paid!
The rooftop bar was amazing! Everything was great!
