10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was fabulous really fresh and nicely presented and replenished quickly if pastries were running low. had dinner in the restaurant and this was excellent too. room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. Receptionist on arrival was extremely friendly and chatty and made me feel welcome, was strange for me as i was staying alone when usually would be with husband. Used the gym and pool area which also was a bonus.
Cons: nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly vibe from staff.
Cons: Checking in after 3pm, we didn't have much time to do a lot. My partner forgot his wallet. So we had to return back home to collect it. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the jacuzzi, as it was full by another group, who had also attended at the same time as us. During the week, the leisure facilities are open until 10pm, but at weekends shut at 7pm (last entry is at 6pm) so we didn't have enough time, once we had eaten dinner. Which was a shame, as that was one of the details that made me book this hotel. It would make more sense for these facilities to be kept open until 10pm on saturday evenings. The cleaner kept knocking on our room. On three occasions, the morning we checked out. Which were all before, we due to check out at 11am, which was highly annoying.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, professional service. Clean and well kept
Cons: Breakfast quality wasn’t perfect; the bacon was very over cooked and the hash browns were not crisp. To be fair everything else was great. The shower (room 148) was a challenge to deliver a temp not scalding nor freezing. It may have been user error.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location, breakfast was good and smooth check in.
Cons: Cleanliness of the room was poor - the sheets had rips in, the bathroom floor was stained badly, there were pubic hairs from a previous guest around the toilet.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Gym facilities. Comfortable beds and nice pillows.
Cons: Debit card not acceptable to guarantee room, consequently room service not available. Wine expensive. Patio door to room left unlocked. I didn't discover it until the morning. Security and safety risk. Glass of wine was £9.30!!!

7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, comfy bed, quick check in & check out. Room was ready on arrival. Spacious room. Quiet during the night. Bonus! The hotel is dog friendly so we could bring our pooch too :)
Cons: Skirting boards in the room were coming away from the wall, a few trodden dirt marks in the carpet
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room! Good facilities! Friendly staff! Nice breakfast!
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Check in was fast and receptionist very pleasant.
Cons: Before arriving we checked the opening times of the swimming - and were advised it closed at 9pm. We arrived at the pool at 7.10pm to be told that it closed at 8pm and we couldn't enter. After having been travelling with horses all day we just wanted 15 minutes to relax and unwind but no. We were told to come back the next day, however, we needed to be at our competition for 7.30am to do a course walk so couldn't. Had we known this, we would have stayed at a Travelodge as the facilities we actually got to use were the same. In addition, the room was right at the back of the hotel, so nice and quiet, however, boiling hot. Radiator was not even on so windows had to be opened which was fine. Until large black flies started arriving into the room. Ended up having to sleep with the windows closed and a fan on all night, which resulted in very little sleep. Not impressed at all.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, perfectly clean
Cons: Little bit noisey late at night with thumping and banging
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Travelling on my own, I felt very comfortable, staff were extra friendly and helpful. Food was very good, both breakfast in room and dinner in the restaurant ..
Cons: A slightly softer bed for my liking and earlier cooked breakfast, for those like myself that had to get up early and get going.

Well done, I (we) will stay longer on the next occasion to avail ourselves of the leisure facilities.

This is the seventh hotel in the Handpicked Collection that we have visited & it is certainly one of the best.
Cons: It was rather chilly walking from the main hotel to the spa, but a covered walkway would be out of place on such a site. It was winter after all!
