Pros: I have experience a lot of luxury hotel , but in this hotel I found them very helpful .The second night for me in the hotel I had an emergency case where my son chocked with food I called the reception and they were there at my door step helping me out like one of their family member I appreciate that . And recommend it to all my friends.

Cons: The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the shower was in the bathtub.

Pros: This hotel is absolute class. Apart from a disappointing room view even though we got an upgrade everything else was pretty perfect. Breakfast was top notch.The staff were wonderful from Julia at the front desk to Yuri and his colleagues at concierge.
Cons: Room windows faced a side street building wall instead of the city. Although we received an upgrade from a deluxe room to a junior suite we would've still preferred our deluxe room with a proper city view.

Cons: The dress standard in the restaurant was poor with Americans wearing baseball caps, training shoes, running shorts and T shirts during dinner. Not acceptable for a 1* restaurant. It certainly wouldn’t be allowed in any other Michelin stared restaurants I’ve been to.

Cons: It was so terrible the hotel, the shower door can’t even close properly as you can see in the pictures so the water come out from the bathroom the water even goes to the bedroom, the most ridiculous thing is I’ve called the reception about this situation they just told me oh yeah the room is like this, there’s nothing they can do( they weren’t even trying to help or fix) so I asked for more than towels was trying to dry to floor for sure is failed, sound like they know about the shower door can’t close , if so they shouldn’t let other tourists stay, shouldve fixed before or we were so hopeless what we saw after shower. Except the reception staffs, the rest of the staffs were so nice when I go down for breakfast they were so helpful. So the next day we changed to other hotels, for sure won’t stay at this hotel anymore, terrible experience.

Cons: Our stay occurred in November with the weather quiet mild for the time of year, we found the heating in the room too hot and the air conditioning could not be altered. Despite the room being air conditioned and no apparent open windows we had mosquitoes each night.

No porter service at night and we had to be at the airport by 4am. When I asked for help off loading luggage from the lift to the lobby, The night clerk refused telling me “I am not a porter”. my sense is that location and pretty interior design gives it a 4 star rating. It’s also probable that booking.com gets the least desirable rooms.

The location of the hotel was perfect every thing in walking distance. Doormen and bell hops very friendly and courtesy. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and accommodate us with a bigger room when we revealed to him that our room was too small for 3 girls. We were hoping to see him again next day to thank him but we never saw him again. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious! Lots of food even at 945! i love the historical story of the hotel and old pictures of the hotel in the past. The antique furniture, history, and decor can only be appreciated by historical buffs. A historical beauty!

Cons: Some of the front desk staff were snooty and not very welcoming. The first gentleman we met was friendly we saw him only once out of the six days we were there. When I did ask questions front desk staff very short and make you feel like you are troubling them. The first room #145 was way to small for a mom and two teenage girls. I had adapters for my phone and the only one it would fit in was the bathroom. The Internet is very weak (which I knew coming in seems to be # 1 complaint). When you first walk thru revolving doors there is a woman sitting at a table not sure if she is with hotel however she is not very welcoming she is first person you see and she does not smile or say hello she does not make eye contact she is setting the tone and it is not good, smile say Bon Journo!

Won't use kayak again and wouldn't recommend hotel because they were totally unwilling to fix the reservation even though it was still months away.

The staff was very very friendly and helpful, especially the young woman with the short black hair and glasses, and the porter named Miko. Breakfast was great with a lot of options such as croissants, pancakes, eggs, cereal, meat, etc. Breakfast staff was also very friendly :) We loved the hotel, the room, the staff, the services. Short 5 minute walk to the station, 10 minute walk to the Duomo, about 30 minutes to the river/Uffizi/Piazza di Signoria area, and 45 minutes to Piazza di Michelangelo. I would stay here again!

The room was great, and had a few amenities I’ve never seen before that made it special. Would highly recommend this hotel. I stayed here in December

Pros: Stuff we liked:
1. The location was hard to beat - we could walk everywhere.
2. The free breakfast in the morning was a nice way to start the day.
3. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - got us reserved tickets into Ufizzi and Academia and provided helpful suggestions.
4. Room was clean and bathroom was on par for what I have come to expect from Italy. Air conditioning and wifi were nice to have.
Cons: To be honest, we were really pleased with the place considering price, location, and friendliness of staff. The one thing I would say is that the bed - while not uncomfortable and completely adequate - was not an incredibly comfortable bed. But it worked - we slept great.

Pros: Room was excellent!! So spacious and welcoming. Felt like home in Florence :) The washroom was nice as well, although the shower stall was a wee bit cramped. The staff was very very friendly and helpful, especially the young woman with the short black hair and glasses, and the porter named Miko. Breakfast was great with a lot of options such as croissants, pancakes, eggs, cereal, meat, etc. Breakfast staff was also very friendly :) We loved the hotel, the room, the staff, the services. Short 5 minute walk to the station, 10 minute walk to the Duomo, about 30 minutes to the river/Uffizi/Piazza di Signoria area, and 45 minutes to Piazza di Michelangelo. I would stay here again!
Cons: The actual hotel was fantastic. However, the hotel’s location got a bit dicey after sunset. On the left is the station which can be a little sketch, and on the right is the leather market that I felt very uncomfortable walking through because of the vendors calling me names like “honey” or asking me to “come here”. If you don’t give them attention, they won’t insist but it still shouldn’t be the case regardless. Once they knew we had no interest in their wares (because we walked through the market multiple times as it was the best way to get to the main town), they stopped trying to get our attention.

Cons: Noise was a huge problem. The walls are paper thin and my neighbor played his TV screaming loud ALL NIGHT LONG! The front desk was not helpful in solving the problem. The room was spartan. It had a small bed and a shower so tiny that there was no way to avoid the water to soap up without turning off the shower. The air conditioning worked and it was clean. I would give a higher score if not for the noise.

Cons: They cleaned my room everyday - which I really liked! But they always changed all the towels and even threw away the soap (of course only soap from the hotel!). I think that was not necessary. Maybe you can think about a system where guests can show you which towels they want you to change. That would safe so much water and is better for the environment!
