Pros: We stayed in three hotels during our trip to Italy, and this was our favorite. Very centrally located, a short walk to all the museums, etc. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and sincerely friendly. The room was gorgeous, the breakfast the best we've experienced in a long time. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Florence.

Cons: We were suggested to go to the hote restaurant which was a highlight, but in the end the food was awful, and we had a bad experience. The truffle as an extra had no taste and the steak was very chewy. Half the steak was still on the bone (almost rare).

Pros: The staff here and services are really very nice! All of them can speak fluent English. We accidentally drove into the ZTL zone and worried about the massive penalty, the staff who worked at 7:00pm on 11/26 helped us to register our rental car and provided very helpful information. So thankful for him! Also there’s a staff from Sri Lanka, he is excellent! Thank you all for making our journey so happy!

Pros: Everything! We moved to this hotel following a bad night stay at another hotel. We hadn’t slept on our first night at the other hotel due to bad beds and noise and this hotel was such a blessing. The staff were amazing and put us in a very quiet room at the back of the hotel. The bed and pillows were amazing.. the style of the hotel was modern and funky. Breakfast was a good selection of pastries and continental. Would recommend this hotel to all.

This is a fabulous funky friendly hotel with fabulous lounge area, great location walking distance to everything. Bus stop right outside to train station. Cons: The only complaint we have about the room was that the acoustics were bad. The doors slammed shut with a loud bang and you could clearly hear your room neighbours talking, especially late at night. Large heavy keys which you could not take along out.

Pros: I loved the hotel itself. I wanted a hotel with character and history and the public areas were just that. It was beautiful and felt old in a wonderfully historical way. Breakfast was fine and included breads and cereal mostly. The location was perfect, just a couple minutes to walk to the Duomo. Of course, the historical part of Florence is pretty small, so it was also easy to walk to any of the sights I wanted to see. The hotel and the room were also quiet. The staff also recommended an excellent restaurant that was just down the street and made a reservation for me (La Giostra).

Cons: I reserved a Superior room and am just not sure that's what I actually got. My room was super small and in the annex building with a shower stall that was hard to move around in. Not at all sure there was anything "superior" about this room. I was hoping for a room with more character and history, something in the main building. I should have emailed prior to arriving and requested my room be in the main building. None the less, it was comfortable, if somewhat disappointing.

Cons: Parking is possible but not available. Reseptionist proposed the other one, that was outside and more expensive. The climate controle not work good. It was established on 26°C without possibility of regulation. During the check out the girl tryed to give another payment for payed room.

Cons: Our stay occurred in November with the weather quiet mild for the time of year, we found the heating in the room too hot and the air conditioning could not be altered. Despite the room being air conditioned and no apparent open windows we had mosquitoes each night.

No porter service at night and we had to be at the airport by 4am. When I asked for help off loading luggage from the lift to the lobby, The night clerk refused telling me “I am not a porter”. my sense is that location and pretty interior design gives it a 4 star rating. It’s also probable that booking.com gets the least desirable rooms.

The location of the hotel was perfect every thing in walking distance. Doormen and bell hops very friendly and courtesy. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and accommodate us with a bigger room when we revealed to him that our room was too small for 3 girls. We were hoping to see him again next day to thank him but we never saw him again. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious! Lots of food even at 945! i love the historical story of the hotel and old pictures of the hotel in the past. The antique furniture, history, and decor can only be appreciated by historical buffs. A historical beauty!

When I did ask questions front desk staff very short and make you feel like you are troubling them. The first room #145 was way to small for a mom and two teenage girls. I had adapters for my phone and the only one it would fit in was the bathroom. The Internet is very weak (which I knew coming in seems to be # 1 complaint). When you first walk thru revolving doors there is a woman sitting at a table not sure if she is with hotel however she is not very welcoming she is first person you see and she does not smile or say hello she does not make eye contact she is setting the tone and it is not good, smile say Bon Journo!

Good situation close to the main attractions and good restaurants nearby. Staff was very correct and nice. I was booked single room, but they gave me bigger room- very nice surprise! I was taken nice photos from roof top- the bar was not open (because its November ), but I can imagine its amazing when the weather is warm , because you can see the 360 old Firenze and sunsets...

Cons: I did not like the noise this time. I have stayed at this hotel before, but on upper floors. This time I was on the second floor and the street noise of the vendors setting up at 5 am, and people stumbling and singing back from the bars late into the night was more than I'd experienced previously. The two things that were upsetting this time, were 1) a fellow patron across the hall woke me up at 2 am on my first night there as he spoke loudly into his cell phone for 20 solid minutes, then again at 2:30 another call and again at 3 am a third. he apparently didn't want to bother the woman who was staying with him, who complained loudly, so he stepped into the hallway to take his calls right in front of my door, and proceeded to literally yell into his phone like there was a bad NASA connection to Mars. The second thing that was pretty bad this time was it seemed that the cleaning staff arrived at 5- 5:30 am every morning and proceeded to walk around directly above, sorting out their carts for the day. We really like this hotel, but if we have to endure this kind of noise, we will find another favorite place.

The staff was very very friendly and helpful, especially the young woman with the short black hair and glasses, and the porter named Miko. Breakfast was great with a lot of options such as croissants, pancakes, eggs, cereal, meat, etc. Breakfast staff was also very friendly :) We loved the hotel, the room, the staff, the services. Short 5 minute walk to the station, 10 minute walk to the Duomo, about 30 minutes to the river/Uffizi/Piazza di Signoria area, and 45 minutes to Piazza di Michelangelo. I would stay here again!

Cons: To be honest, we were really pleased with the place considering price, location, and friendliness of staff. The one thing I would say is that the bed - while not uncomfortable and completely adequate - was not an incredibly comfortable bed. But it worked - we slept great.

Cons: The actual hotel was fantastic. However, the hotel’s location got a bit dicey after sunset. On the left is the station which can be a little sketch, and on the right is the leather market that I felt very uncomfortable walking through because of the vendors calling me names like “honey” or asking me to “come here”. If you don’t give them attention, they won’t insist but it still shouldn’t be the case regardless. Once they knew we had no interest in their wares (because we walked through the market multiple times as it was the best way to get to the main town), they stopped trying to get our attention.

Cons: The food and drink i imagined would be in some way cheaper than the local restaurants but this is not the case. Also €9.50 to wash and dry a few clothes is ridiculous, i walked 5 minutes down the street and used a laundrette that cost €5 for the same thing.

There was some sort of construction or something happening on the floor above me from 5am to 9pm. No kitchen, which is dumb. It's a massive facility, so there are huge tour and school groups there all the time.

Cons: We stayed in room 5 first, which is really cold (they know, and brought over a small heating device). So the 1st night was not ideal due to the cold. The shower & bath robes are also very tiny, and the bath room was really cold as well. Wifi signal is too weak to stream Apple tv. When we talked to the receptionist the day after, we got a free upgrade to a huge, warm & cosy suite with a bath in the bath room and bigger bath robes. Bless her! So for the personnel, nothing but praise. Bur our overall thought is that it is too expensive for what you get: 4 **** hotels should offer 4 **** facilities.

Cons: Noise was a huge problem. The walls are paper thin and my neighbor played his TV screaming loud ALL NIGHT LONG! The front desk was not helpful in solving the problem. The room was spartan. It had a small bed and a shower so tiny that there was no way to avoid the water to soap up without turning off the shower. The air conditioning worked and it was clean. I would give a higher score if not for the noise.
