Pros: This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Florence. It is steps away from the Duomo, but tucked away so that it is quiet and seems to be off the beaten path...perfect location! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is attentive. The lobby is very comfortable, lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is lovely, with many options.....something for everyone. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will return. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Pros: I stayed at the Hotel Brunelleschi about 15 years ago and remembered that the location was excellent because we could step out the door and be in the heart of Florence yet the hotel is tucked away in a quiet street. This time (Nov 2010) once again I was happy with the accomodations as the hotel has and is in the process of up-grading the rooms and the restaurant. Our room was fabulous and so up-dated we did not want to leave the room.

Pros: Staff were accommodating. They initially offered us a room with a view of the inside of the building (I would not call it a courtyard) and down many halls away from everything. When we requested another they gave us one on the 5th floor, street side with a bath tub. I did request these amenities beforehand, however, they tried to give us a substandard room. Is this because we booked through Booking.com?Need to be persistent. Location can't be beat. Hotel is beautiful.

Pros: We enjoyed the Hotel Berchielli very much. It was located right on the Arno. We literally opened our windows and could see the Ponte Veicchio Bridge. The location was fabulous. We were close to the Uffize Gallerie and the Duomo. The hotel was a little on the older side, which gave it some european charm. However, the bathrooms had recently been renovated and were modern and clean. During my stay I left behind a shawl I had purchased. We called the hotel figuring it was long gone and the hotel had it for me. We were impressed with the honesty of the staff. The hotel also provided a full breakfast buffet on their second floor dining room. Just around the corner from the hotel is the stop to catch the tour bus of the city. Try to take a day trip to Tuscany if you have the time it was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. One last tip... remember to close the shutters on your window while in Italy it will reduce the noise level.

The service was very classy, polite, attentive and friendly the staff made me and my two daughters feel very special. The waiter brought my daughter a shawl when he saw that she was cold and offered us one as well. Our room had a window with a view for people watching, the maid kept our room very clean, every evening when we arrived back from a long day our beds would be turned down waiting for us. The location of the hotel was perfect every thing in walking distance. Doormen and bell hops very friendly and courtesy. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and accommodate us with a bigger room when we revealed to him that our room was too small for 3 girls. We were hoping to see him again next day to thank him but we never saw him again. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious! Pros: The position of this is hotel must be one of the best in the whole of Florence it is so close to everything there is to see. As soon as you walk out of the door you are there. 10 steps and you are on the Ponte Vecchio a 2 minute walk to the Pitti Palace a 5 minute walk to the Uffizi (which we didnt go in as the queue waiting to go in was ridiculous if you seriously want to go book it before you travel) a 3 minute walk to the Piazza Republica and a 6 minute walk to the Duomo. The roof top terrace on the 6th floor is the reason why I origionally chose this hotel and I was not dissapointed after a tiring day of sightseeing to come back to the terrace for a drink and relax was heaven.Of a night dinner is served on the terrace and although the menu is very limited (due to the very small kitchen area) the food wes excellent. I would reccomend this hotel 100% to anyone. For best buys in Florence you should go the market stalls around San Lorenzo theare fantastic I got the most fab leather jacket for £80.One of the best city breaks I have had.

Pros: Surely one of the best hotels in Florenece. The stuff was very helpful and spoke fluent English. In addition they proposed an alternative parking (20 euros/night) instead of the expensive hotel garage. Moreover they were more than happy to upgrade our rooms to river view ones (with no additional charges) for the second and third night due to faulty aircondinioning system.
