There was no information on your website that a Florida resident can not rent with debit card at airports - I had been traveling from Europe all day , 20 hours to find out I can’t get a car , and I had paid for insurance that I have not received backReviewed 8 Oct 2026

Had a problem with pick-up. Got the text of which car to grab (in a specific parking spot) and was confirmed via text and email. When we tried to leave the check out person said he had no record of my reservation and no link to that car. So, it took a very long time to depart airport. Also, car was not very clean.Reviewed 11 Dec 2025

I think the company is ridiculous. Only 3/4 quarters of a tank of gas a they considered that full . I was hit with a ton of BS hidden fees . The car for the money was a disgrace . You can’t get ahold of anyone from customer service. I was highly disappointed an will probably never tonite hertz again unfortunately.Reviewed 18 Mar 2025

The car that we received was uncomfortable. The floor mats were tore up and the wiper blades were shredding as we tried to use them in the rain.Reviewed 27 Jul 2024

Advance check in was easy. I rented via car rentals.com. That was a pain since you can't contact hertz directly if you have an issue with a late plane or canceled flight to tell them you aren't coming. Did save a bunch of money with prepay.Reviewed 28 May 2024

The service desk person could have had better customer service skills. The car had a funky smell inside. Otherwise, no major complaints.Reviewed 5 May 2024

Apparently what I bought from Kayak was an electric vehicle, but that wasn't made clear to me when purchasing at all. I ended up having to pay an add'l fee for each day as a 'vehicle upgrade'.Reviewed 22 Apr 2024

It was good. There was some confusion at pickup as I was not given the correct information at the front desk and had to go back after getting the car and trying to leave. Everything worked out OK and the staff was very helpful in correcting the issue.Reviewed 10 Apr 2024

Added charges that I did not want or need after telling them I did not want the insurance. My fault for not verifying when signing but was told the $200 charge on my card would be refunded when the vehicle gets returned. Should not have trusted them to do the right thing and should have looked closer at the pad I was signing.Reviewed 9 Apr 2024
