Cons: I ended up at the Altis after a very long day of travel and a disastrous Airbnb experience left me and my friends without a place to stay. Desperate, we found the Altis on Kayak with a 5-star rating and were willing to put a little extra money in given how nice the place looked in the app. Unfortunately, this ended up being a terrible experience. The staff was extremely slow and unhelpful, making us wait a very long time to get to our rooms after a very long day. Moreover, the rooms bore absolutely no resemblance to the photos we saw on the app - they were outdated, dingy, and dirty. There were hairs in our showers, and the floors were stained. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The wifi didn't work, coming in and out every few minutes. In fact, we ended our stay early given how bad the conditions were - though it took ages to do so at reception. There is no way this hotel is 5 stars and it should not be advertised as such. Personally, I would like for the hotel to compensate me in some way for such a misleading and poor experience.

Pros: The front desk and concierge staff were excellent!! The concierge worked hard to find us dinner reservations for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Very, very good. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast. Taxis were always available and the staff, who spoke excellent English, helped make sure the drivers knew where we wanted to go. And when it rained the staff furnished us with umbrellas.
Cons: The bar staff was okay but not outstanding. I was rather surprised at the limited hours of the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Dinner was okay but not as good as the breakfast.

Pros: The hotel was first class in terms of comfort and facilities. Bathrooms was downright luxurious. Bed was big and firm. There actually is a metro stop about 150 yards away, so access to tourist areas was easier than expected.

Pros: A friend and I stayed here for a night while on a long layover in Lisbon. The hotel had clean, comfortable, and gorgeous rooms with nice amenities and responsive staff. It's was close to both the airport and the Metro, so it was very easy to get around.

Pros: the room was comfortably spacious, with a round table and chairs for eating or relaxing and a desk area for working. Everything was clean, modern and luxurious feeling. The staff was friendly and the person who arranged shuttle rides and opened the front door was able to provide me with needed information on local food and amenities. They had a shuttle service providing complementary rides to the airport every half hour for the first half of the day, and the gentleman diligently inquired if I would need a ride the following morning and included my name on the reservation list for the desired time. He also provided me with accurate information about how early I needed to arrive to have sufficient time to get through security for my flight.
Cons: The location, although close to the airport, made me feel like it was located in the center of a traffic circle, both from the vehicular activity surrounding the area and the proximity to the highway. Since it was airport close, there was jet noise from take offs or landings, but not too overpowering due to good noise reducing windows.

I heard all the toilets flashing in the hotel (mind middle of the night) All the noise from dancing in the room above me All the suitcases which started to leave hotel around 4am.. and train from few blocks away I guess that hotel has paper walls.. Got to the plane soo tired... could have spend this night on the streets

Pros: Good location near a metro stop With easy access to the city center, and close to the airport. The breakfast was the nicest Novotel breakfast I've had. Made to order omelettes and a variety of nice food. Clean rooms and a good rate for when we were there.
Cons: The view isn't pretty, and the area of town is just so so right around the hotel. But when you are in a big city you can't expect too much more.

Cons: The overall condition of the hotel was poor, quite dirty and the rooms (we asked for a change) were quite "beaten up". The carpets were stained, dust everywhere and the bathrooms need a good cleaning with new caulking in around the shower.The staff we found to have "low moral" which may be a direct result from poor management. Which is quite disappointing as some were quite nice. It just seems like the owners of the hotel (who ever they may be) have given up in terms of the basics. Not a 5 star by all means; this hotel needs a big wake up!
