Pros: The rooms that were available and renovated looked nice. But there was no other "good" things about it.
Cons: I disliked everything. The AC and the water didn't work the first day we were there. The construction seemed slow going making the place look like trash. The location is kinda in a beatdown neighbor hood. The bathrooms are the size of a coat closet and the shower wouldn't fit fairly obese person so it's not size friendly. Staff didn't do certain things when requested, like bringing us a fan because the AC didn't work. Luckily I got all my money back when I left. This place needs to shut down and finish all the renovations or never open again.

Pros: The location is great (if you have a car). The actual neighborhood is sketchy. But, it's a short drive away from highways, restaurants, and nightlife.
Cons: This hotel is absolutely disgusting. There is a LOT of mold/mildew in the bathrooms. The bedroom is incredibly small and there are no amenities. The bed had stains on it and the staff was rude. I do NOT recommend anyone stay here... ever.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room was dingy and dirty. The floor had stains and burns. The walls had stains on them. The paint on wall was not done correctly. The bathroom was so small when you took a shower you touched the toilet trying to get out of the shower. No pictures on the wall furniture that had not been replaced for 20 or more years maybe since the 60's. I book a king and got two doubles. I asked for a new room and they wanted to give me to twin beds. I asked for a new room for the next day and was told they weren't ready. By far the worst hotel I stayed in, I could get a better room on a third world country.

Pros: It was a great room, they are currently remodeling the hotel so during the day there is a little noise from construction. The staff was polite and great as well. I wish the bathroom was a bit larger because two people trying to get ready at the same time isn't going to happen.

Pros: Good for the price, not the worst location, 7/11 nearby, got a fridge, moderately priced parking, and pretty friendly staff. Overall, an ok stay. Favorite part was the "useless door".
Cons: Rooms were a tad small, and the shower also wasn't great for taller people.

Pros: This has to be the worst hotel since I've been to Africa. The place is falling apart, they had cardboard covering the holes in the walls and the ceiling was falling down. I'm not usually this hard on hotels but this has to be the worst in years.
Cons: Nothing

7.7
Pros: The room was cute and bigger then i expected for a standard room i loved it, super surprised. I was skeptical at first because the neighborhood isn't that great but as soon as you walk in completely different than what you think it's going to be the staff were super nice and helpful and the room is really clean
Cons: The heater didn't work just the AC so I got a little cold in the middle of the night the extra blanket wasn't too much of a help the bathroom door keep getting stuck so only one side will open nothing major the areas in the best area but I don't think that the hotel can help that. Also parking was sort of a pain in the butt I had to pay $30 for the valet to park my car
Okay

Pros: It's in the worse area of downtown. It is not close to the Walk of Fame. The reason the price is so low is that the place is horrible. Literally. I arrived, saw the place, the location, how unsafe the area was looking, then immediately checked out and found another better hotel.

7.7
Pros: Nice, hotel. Room has windows that actually open and let's fresh air in.
Cons: Bathroom is small and doors open outward like a closet. One of the bathroom doors was jammed and we kept squeezing in through one. Rooms look like they are still being worked on. Few things here and there that look unfinished. Like the window seals and dry wall left-overs.

Cons: This hotel is old, the elevators dont work, and the decor and ambiance are depressing. I walked into my room for 1 minute and walked right out. I went to the lobby to hand in my room key and go to another hotel. I had a difficult time getting my money back for a room I didn't stay in because the guy at the front desk was rude. Ridiculous.

Cons: The central air !!! My babies got sick so I had to stay another day . The room was very cold !!! & the power outage in the middle of the night !!! No food on site & delivery was a problem . Pros: The location was great and in the center of downtown. Convenient to get to from freeway. (Skid Row at night though. Security at the door wouldn't hurt.)
Cons: -Holes in walls -Ceiling looked like it was about to cave in -Waited for front desk attendant -Walls torn out in hallway -Had to pay for parking -Rooms and rest of hotel not clean enough -Stains on walls, floors, and furniture -Hot lobby -Towels had holes in them/were torn up -Carpet had a large portion melted/burned -You know its bad when you insist on looking for bed bugs and feel gross about even getting in the shower.

Cons: This place is a dump!! Not even near being a 1 star. It was dirty, beds were rock hard, plaster patches on the ceiling. Honestly, it looked like it is rented by the hour. They cancelled the reservation and I called Kayak immediately to get a refund.

Pros: I liked how easy it was to Valet my car and was only $20 a day with in and out privileges. Checking into the hotel was fast and had an assistant to help. The room on the 15th Floor for King size bed and renovated was very pleasant and spacious. The location is super close to downtown which has the convention center, Staples Arena, Shopping and restaurants.
Cons: When I checked in to my room, turned out to be the wrong room as it was under renovation with a maid cart in the middle. We went back down and the front desk upgrade us to the King size suite. The elevator has under renovation with a huge hole at the top and the bell man scared us about comparing it to the Ring. The lobby was under renovation as we looked forward seeing it.

Pros: Friendly staff, safe parking lot, clean rooms, free breakfast, comfortable beds. I was left wondering where the bad reviews came from. I only needed a room for one night so that I could be at Good Samaritan hospital at 6:00 AM the next morning. It was very adequate for my needs and I would use this hotel again if I needed.

Pros: We went down for our daughter's FIDM fashion show debut. The hotel was just around the corner from her apartment, so the location worked out great for us. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we needed to go.
Cons: Can be a bit noisy. Breakfast could be better.

8.0
Pros: The location was convenient but not a great area of downtown Los Angeles, so expectations were not high. Had no problems with the neighborhood. The room was newly refurbished, committed green philosophy, with modern industrial décor. Large room, comfortable, very clean, good sized bathroom. Security was present and visible which was important as we were two females on the 1st floor. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Continental breakfast was pre-packaged muffins etc. However, they did always have coffee available and offered orange juice, fresh fruit, bananas, apples, oranges which offset the lack of heartier fare.
The Widblue offers a pleasant stay in Los Angeles for those traveling for business or leisure. Wi-Fi in designated areas is available at this property. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 6km from Union Station and 29km from Los Angeles International Airport. The closest major public transportation, Westlake/MacArthur Park Metro Station, is only 1km away. Many local tourist attractions including the Chinatown and Los Angeles Convention Center can easily be reached with a short drive. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

I needed a new tv for the room never got it. Took three hours to get roll-a-way and that's after going down to front desk to retrieve myself. Cons: I booked a room for one night through Kayak and made a phone call to the hotel that I would like to extend my reservation to two nights. The front desk person told me it was done and my reservation was for two nights. I arrived the hotel at 10:30 am on the day of my reservation and was told that the room was not ready yet and they could check in my bag and asked me to come back later. I came back at 10 pm that night and the other front desk person told me my room was gone!!!!!!! 10 pm, single girl in Los Angeles downtown with no room to stay. I even did not get an apology. The front desk person said it was not her that told me that I had a reservation. I asked her to give me the contact info of the person who worked in the morning, and she refused. I asked her to call her manager, and she just texted when she could actually call her. She kept saying that there was not much they could do. I had to be responsible for their fault. They do not have anything they listed on their profile. There is no shuttle service, you have to book through other shuttle agencies. You actually really don’t need them to book the shuttle, and you can do it all by yourself. Their internet connection was AWEFULL!! It was extremely slow and always down. The staff was not helpful at all. Their security guy, who was a contractor from other company was really a nice guy and helpful. But their staff are not familiar with their business, not responsible for their mistake, not able to deal with emergencies, not helpful with their customers. Please do not stay with them. The service is so bad, and they do not take responsibility of their fault and they try everything to make themselves look good instead of helping their customers. IT was such a BIG mistake that I chose them. I have never had a worse experience!

Pros: Great staff.. friendly and accommodating. Comfortable room and beds. Clean. Great location with free parking. Awesome shower with great water pressure. Fridge and microwave in room. Updated decor and furniture that was all in very good condition. I would stay there again.
Cons: Building is clearly an older one so even though it was clean and well maintained on the surface, it did smell a bit funky. I stayed in the main (older) part of the hotel. There appear to be 2 other newer additions.

Pros: Clean Free parking Location
Cons: It seems like their walls, ceilings and floors are paper thin. We can hear people above us walking all night and it serous sounded like they may fall through the ceilings anytime. We can hear other people's conversation and having sex clearly. The A.C. in the room has a remote control but it doesn't work. The front desk told us its temperature can only be controlled by the hotel.

Pros: Rooms were clean.
Cons: I didn't like how parking at the hotel site was limited. We had to park across the street, although is was specifically for the hotel and gated/locked. Our toilet wouldn't flush a few times too. The halls smelled as well (while walking to our rooms). Rooms were super small.

Pros: It's conveniently located in downtown, and the price is very low compared to other motels in the area. Plus the rooms are fairly spacious.
Cons: Other than the low price, and perhaps the location (if that's important), there's not much going for this place. The towels were somewhat discolored, which makes me wonder how clean they are, and the housekeeping service left obvious signs that they did not thoroughly clean the room. There was no refrigerator or microwave oven in the room, no closet or hangars, no coffee machine, nothing else of that nature - all reasonable omissions considering the price, but it really contributes to giving an cheap impression.

Pros: When we arrived we were attended to right away and checked in without an issue and checked out quickly as well.
Cons: The man checking us in was in a rush to do something else, and when we walked into the room, there was a piece of popcorn chicken left behind by the window. Piece of wood separating the wood floors from the bathroom tiles was broken so stepping there without looking could have caused someone’s foot to get hurt. A towel and bedsheet had stains. Bed was hard. I was in the room in the afternoon when cleaning was over, but the lady kept knocking and tried to get in while I was inside and would not leave until she cleaned the room. They are not supposed to enter when someone is inside. I would have been okay with the other issues but this just disappointed me. Location isn’t the best, but we didn’t stay out too late. A lot of homeless people sleep right outside, though, and it’s not the cleanest area, so watch out. Definitely overpriced for what we got.

Pros: There was a fridge and microwave in my room, the reviews are true. I came in on a greyhound bus with my toddler son and husband. The station was about 2 miles from the hotel. The street was full of homeless people and druggies, but other than that the hotel was close to staples center and many la attractions. We arrived early for check in, and the man was nice enough to let us keep our bags at the front desk until we returned. Shower and ac worked alright. Tv had many channels. Free breakfast consisted of coffee and orange juice, toast with jam and cereal.
Cons: The beds were stiff, but personally i enjoy firm surfaces. But you can tell they are extremely outdated. The ac was also outdated and noisey, but i made it through the night with no major disruptions. The room was all tile and slippery, but it kept the room cool although it was tough for my toddler to walk without slipping. All in all it can use some improvement everywhere;paint job, molding; etc. Pool was friendly but kindof small. Although the guy was nice enough to let us leave our luggage he was standoffish to letting us use the bathroom before we left or change our son. I also asked about the breakfast and he said since we hadnt paid we werent allowed to use it although we had rooms reserved with credit card. He rushed us out and seemed irritated we were there so early in the morning.

Cons: No parking on site. Very run down, old, and unclean place. Only one towel for a double room. Something started leaking from the bathroom in the morning.

Cons: Pictures are completely misleading. Rooms and bathrooms were gross, the hallways were completely disgusting. This hotel is also "hourly" and there were people coming in to do drugs in the rooms. Places like this shouldn't even be allowed to advertise on this site.

Cons: Place looked Nothing like the pictures. It smelled of rotten rug and cigar smoke as soon as you walked in. It was dirty and you could tell it had not had a good clean in a while. No clean towels, the two they gave us were stained badly. There were hairs in the shower and sink, not to mention the toilet seat wasnt even attached nor belong to that type of toilet. The bed even had stains on it. Horrible.
