Cons: The acoustics were terrible and I could hear everything from the upstairs neighbor to someone’s alarm clock. Also the plumbing makes extremely loud whining noises. So all of this was happening at all hours of the night!

Pros: Great location, wonderful room, really just an exquisite little place. Loved the wine and cheese at 5:30; had to check out before breakfast, though. :(

Pros: For several years we have been using Best Western Corte Madera Inn as a favored place to stay when visiting the Bay Area. We like the shopping that is convenient to its location. San Francisco is just a hop away down the 101 and across the Golden Gate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, also well appointed. Staff is courteous and helpful, and the free breakfast at the restaurant next door is really good.
Cons: Some of the rooms sometime seem a little dated, but this is not a deterrent to us. It's a great location.
7.7 Good
Pros: Convenience, price
Cons: Motel-style set-up.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Front desk people were great we got in a little late. They kept the pool open for us which was a lot of fun. Then we relaxes by the fire pit. Great hotel just outside of San Fran.

Cons: Construction going on-Spa was closed.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is perfect for a visit to Sausalito. You can walk to everything.
Cons: Charging for wifi over 1Gb use, the spa was not open, finding a masseuse was impossible, no lotion in the bathroom was a negative for me.
4.0 OK
Pros: Good location and nice appearance
Cons: Very disputed to book this room at $--- a night, and then have them surprise me at checkout with an additional $25 hotel fee. Very cheesy thing to do; nickel and dime, cheesy thing to do.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming Hotel in the heart of Sausalito
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and modern. The air conditioner worked well. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. There were robes.
Cons: We were told we would have a 'courtyard' view, but our window looked out to a wall and drainage pipe. The bed and all pillows were rock hard and the bed squeaked. I had a backache the next day. The room was dark and stark. No artwork.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is excellent
Cons: I believe because I arrived in the evening, they bumped me to a room that was noisier and didn't have a bath tub as it said it would when I booked.
5.0 OK
Pros: We like that it was right at,the beginning of down town. The location was good.
Cons: For the price we paid we expected a nicer room and better service. The bathroom sick handle was broken, the patio deck table was broken, there was a fist size tear in the carpet, and my high heel kept getting stuck and I tripped twice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The staff was so accommodating and nice all around.
Cons: No.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, right next to the water and close to restaurants.
Cons: The room was not the one I had reserved, and the difference between the room I reserved and the one I got was not clear.
6.0 Good
Pros: This is a classy hotel in Sausalito which is beautiful.
Cons: We were in 'The Mansion' which sounds nicer than it really was. We had a small room that was hard to get to with no view. I'm sure the hotel pricing was in line with other local facilities but was expensive.

Cons: Breakfast was very bland. Location not ideal.
6.5 Good
Pros: The location worked well for me, close to Sausalito. The housekeeping staff did a good job with the room.
Cons: Hotel is dated and the carpets and furniture are worn. No restaurants in the immediate area. It is overpriced for what it offers. Far better to stay a bit further north - better value.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: I liked that is was clean and quiet and that breakfast was included.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: We arrived very late and the two women who were manning the front desk were absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, helpful, and just lovely.
Cons: We wanted to sleep until about 9am, however, at about 7am Sasquatch began pacing upstairs, stomping back and forth for hours. We didn't get the rest we needed for our upcoming long drive.
7.7 Good
Pros: The stay here was mostly great. The hot tuba and pool were open even in cold weather. Heated of course!
Cons: The few exceptions to that were: -New front desk staff had a hard time pointing in the right direction for dinner. -The shower faucet was somewhat difficult to figure out. I was there a week, you'd think I'd be able to figure it out by then. But every morning I spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out which way the faucet was supposed to face for hot water... An upgrade would be much appreciated! -Bed was also way too soft. I felt like it swallowed me whole. I expected a California hotel to recycle and maybe compost. Marin Suites Hotel did not offer either.
Muir Woods Lodge - Mill Valley - Building
7.2 Good (708 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Muir Woods Lodge in Mill Valley, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, an elevator (lift), and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.7 OK
Pros: cleanness.
Cons: Staff is rude. Breakfast is poor.
4.8 OK
Pros: The location was nice but if you're willing to drive a few miles north there are nicer hotels for the same price.
Cons: The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It had several broken springs and was bulging on the sides. The room was very small and there was a table that blocked access to the right side of the king sized bed so you had to crawl on to the bed from the foot of it. No dressers, only a small rack that the tv is mounted to to hang. No shower head, water was spraying at full blast out of a pipe coming from the wall like a hydrant which was not awful but it required me to ricochet water off my hands on to my face if I didn't want water to go up my nose.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place, especially for the insanely good price. Walk to Buckeye Roadhouse for steak and back home. Can't beat it.
Cons: Not enough blankets so we were a bit cold.
7.1 Good
Pros: nice room, very convenient for function we were attending.
Cons: mattress was nice but bed was extremely noisy.

2.8 Mediocre
Pros: The bathroom worked as it should. There was hot water in the shower. The drains and toilet worked fine.
Cons: My wife called the morning we were going to check in to confirm we'd have a room with a queen and double sized beds. She was told we're confirmed and that wouldn't be a problem. When we got to our room that night we had quite a surprise - the room had the double bed we asked for but the other bed was a... twin bed! I called the front desk to ask why there was a twin bed in our room. "Your room has a queen and a double". "I'm standing in my room right now and there's no queen bed here". "How did you book your room?" "Online". "We're not responsible for what the website promised you". "Oh no, no no. YOU just told me I had a queen bed. I am asking YOU to make good on YOUR promise of a queen bed". Silence for about 10 seconds. Then "We're all booked up for the night and there aren't any other rooms". Just out of curiosity, I checked the hotel website and there's no mention anywhere of a room with a twin bed. The next morning I went to the front desk to ask for a call from the manager to refund a portion of my bill. The front desk clerk asked what my complaint was and I told her about the beds in the room. "That room has a queen and double beds". "No it doesn't. It's a twin bed". "How did you book your room?" "Online". "We're not responsible for what the website promised you". "I've heard. But YOU told my wife yesterday we'd have a queen bed. YOUR employee last night told me that room had a queen bed and YOU also just told me that room has a queen bed. I am asking YOU to make it right". Loud sigh. "I'll have the manager call you". It's been two weeks Mr Manager. Still waiting for that call....

7.4 Good
Pros: The bed was good. The room seemed clean and we did not find bugs anywhere. This motel was located very close to our family member we had come to visit, so in spite of the bad shower and T.V. noise, we would strongly consider using it on a future trip to CA.
Cons: The shower head was terrible. We could get warm water for only a few moments and then it became scalding hot and if turned it down, it was freezing. The pillows are way too high for both of us, so we slept with no pillow each night. Walls very thin and our immediate neighbor kept the T.V. going till like 2 in the morning and then again by about 6 they would turn it back on. Hard to sleep with the noise.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Everything was falling apart and it was very unkempt.
6.0 Good
Pros: The price, which you can't beat.
Cons: Close to the high way, and the noise from the road was pronounced. I had to keep the fan on high all night in order to sleep.
