Cons: Was very loud and interrupted sleeping. Road construction right outside our window that we had to keep open to cool the room. Also it is close to Hoffbrau House so you get quite a bit of noise when it was closing.

Pros: The location was great, about a block from the central station, so it was easy to take a train or tram to anywhere in the city. The beds were comfortable and had nice little shelves and a bed light. The dorms and the bathroom were clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hostel has a bar, which was a fun place to begin and end a night out. Basically, everything was great, and I'd definitely stay here again.
Cons: I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Pros: This was our second stay at this hotel in 18 months. Whilst it’s not in the best part of town, it is extremely handy to public transport and amenities thanks to its vicinity to Munich Central Station, but also only a five to eight minute walk to Karlsplatz. The rooms are extremely comfortable. In my opinion a Hotel must have: 1) A comfortable bed, 2) A decent shower, 3) Plenty of storage for large suitcases with the ability to unpack and settle in. The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost surpassed those requirements. The beds are probably the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in anywhere in the world (including my own). The shower has excellent water pressure and temperature control, and the rooms are spacious enough to stay in without feeling cramped. The decor and features are also extremely satisfying. I would not even contemplate staying anywhere else when I visit Munich. I travel extensively world-wide and in my opinion this Hotel is up there with the best I have ever visited for a city stay. Not to mention the staff who are as good as you will find in any hotel in the world. They are efficient, professional, friendly and courteous, a credit to the hotel.
Cons: Getting out of that amazing bed in the morning.

Pros: Nicely located between two U-Bahn stops right by the alstadt. Great for walking most places. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: "Two Bedroom" was exactly that, two bedrooms with a small hallway between them that had a bathroom and "kitchenette." If anyone expected there to be any kind of sitting area, there is absolutely none. Breakfast was mediocre. Same thing served daily.

Pros: The room was spacious, nice modern wood decor. Has a bar (which I didn't use). Staff is excellent, right by the train station so easy access when arriving / departing and there's a subway station down the same street. Bathroom was spacious, shower had a nice flow. For a solo traveler it was excellent. Nicer on the inside than out. A little pricey but worth it. I had a double or queen size bed so might have been in a bigger room than a single.
Cons: Not the best neighborhood if you have kids - a lot of strip clubs and interesting people walking around at night, but in no way is it unsafe. I felt it was safe to walk around at 2 am. My electronic keycard wasn't working, went back down, got it re-activated, went back up, same thing, went back down, tried 3rd time, same thing. Next time the staff came up with me (at this point I'm thinking I'm an idiot), they were able to open the door. We closed the door tried it again and it didn't work again so luckily I didn't look like an idiot. The sensor was being blocked so they removed the cover and all was fine. Some of the bathroom amenities were missing - I had 2 shampoos and 2 lotions but no hand soap or soap / body wash for the shower or conditioner. Had to go back down (trip #5) to get it - not a big deal though, staff was excellent but it's something that housekeeping can check beforehand.
