The location is perfect, staff are lovely and nice relatively inexpensive restuarants near by. We booked a triple de luxe room and had to ask for extra towels etc. The third bed was a put up bed, thou relatively comfortable.
Excellent location - very near subway/RER stations, Notre Dame, good restaurants etc! Friendly staff, quiet rooms, nice neighborhood - we are very pleased with our stay! The rooms were perhaps a bit small and the breakfast was very expensive (15€) - but fortunately there are many, many cafés just around the corner.
the location of the hotel is good, quite but not too far from the metro and everything else. it´s just not a four star hotel...maybe if they get stars for having a roof or electricity ;)
Centrally located in the latin quarter next to St Germain, facilities were good, personnel was extremely helpful and friendly, A bit small
Great Location, reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and cleaned dailly. I think the Hotel is a bit 'tired' and requires some investment, one of the glass panels on the entrance door had a large crack and there was a missing button in the lift, overall the hotel was looking a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment. Also all tv channels were french, usually a hotel of this standard will have news channels etc as a minimum and/or internet access in the room through the TV.
Front desk was excellent, very friendly - answered all questions satisfactorily. Room was good - excellent bathroom. For a short stay this was excellent. No ice machine!
The tranquility, the design of the interiors, the view from the balcony and good geographical possition.
The staff was great, particlarly Alikhan, as well as Kim. Nice ambience. Great location.
The hotel itself is kept quite well and all of the staff was exceptionally nice. The bartender will tell you you're beautiful then offer you a glass of prosecco then explain what it is. The rooms are large but they didn't feel like anything special. They just felt outdated but not in the way I thought it would be. I was kind of expecting a little more oomph in the furniture but it was just regular boring hotel furniture. The bathroom, however, was excellent. Vanities with two mirrors a tub that is actually big enough to get in if you like baths. The decor felt like it was attempting to be fancy but as soon as you tried to take a picture you could tell it wasn't. I appreciated it nonethelesss. If you are awake watching French tv you can't understand at 2am like we were, I can tell you there's a place around the corner that sells sandwiches and pastries (probably more but I didn't really investigate too hard). These sandwiches will look like they're probably going to be stale and you have no idea what you're about to pay for but it was one of my favorite meals. And they're absolutely massive. If you walk across the street from the hotel and go down the hill from the light you'll run into it just past the little grocery store. If that doesn't make sense just ask the front desk guy at 2am and he'll at least point you to the grocery store. Also, probably one of my favorite moments in Paris. Walking about town at 2 am completely alone to find ciggies and food in my pajamas. The ac. We were ground level so sleeping with window was awkward but we had to for a little bit at one point because it got so hot in the room. And this was in October. So the rooms definitely hold heat well.
Villa Pantheon was in a fantastic location. Easy walk to St. germain, Notre dame, and a lot of the sites. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable about how to get around the city. Hotel was very clean also. Rooms were slightly small but that is expected in old European cities.
Front desk staff very helpful and friendly The drilling in the wall that started promptly at 9:00 am
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and perfectly located for our purposes, however I am glad that our room was at the front of the hotel and not at the back some other people were asking to change rooms from the back to the front of the hotel. Like a lot of french hotels, there was no complimentary tea, coffee or water in the room which would have been most gratefully received after a long journey.
close to the metro stations. quiet. no
perfect location. quite confortable. I will come back to the hotel again in the next visit to Paris.
really a nice hotel
The room was surprisingly spacious for the price, there was plenty of room to walk around and dress. It was also clean and wonderfully comfortable. The hotel itself is close to 2 metro stations making it really easy to get around the city. Our room was out the back of the hotel as opposed to in the main hotel which was fine only that the staff were reluctant to leave a light on for us to get to and from the hotel which was annoying the first night but after a brief argument they agreed to leave it on as soon as it got dark.
location close to the Luxembourg Garden limited space
Nice, quiet and confortable room, big enough for two persons (and bags). The hotel wasn't close to Paris main attractions, even so it was inserted in very nice area and very close to subwaystation. Althouth the room was very quiet, in the morning we were able to ear footsteeps in the room abouve ours.
facilities, location and atmosphere
The location, prize per night and lovely Hotel. Excellent of going with children. We would absolutely pick the same Hotel. People in reception very kind and helpful. Rooms very clean, coasy and warm. Silent nights. The beds were a little bit hard.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is good with easy access to the metro. The bed was too small.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay - close to transport links but quiet at night. Breakfast was over priced
location and style of hotel
The room was compact but really well designed and stylish. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It didn't feel like just another chain hotel. The gym wasn't available which was very inconvenient for us but as it was being renovated it will be lovely when finished. It is a small space and there are no weights but good quality aerobic machines running and a cross trainer. Also there is a large park 5 mins up the road.
Crisp-clean, modern design, location A mirror and a shelf in a bathroom would be useful
The staff were courteous and extremely helpful, rooms tidy and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever stayed in! We were in Paris for the weekend as a couple and had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Location is ideal and we would highly recommend to any friends/colleagues looking to stay in Paris. I dont like the 'room number' signs on the bedroom doors. That is literally the worst I can say about the hotel!
location could not control the room temperature as it was fall and the individual room air conditioning had been turned off in order for the building heat to be turned on. Subsequently, the rooms became too hot.
Great modern decor in st Michel
Very modern, new and luxurious hotel Small rooms though
Clean and responsible staff, good bell staff. Very expensive given what it is. Wifi is horrible throughout hotel. 3rd party website logon problem that management had no idea about.
Staff. Clean. Location. Room a bit small. No morning coffee. No free breakfast.
The staff and the vaulted breakfast room. Sites and Metro are not close. I found it a bit difficult to get to these and I have stayed in Paris many times.
not much room too small, no faciliies, ocation not as expected
Wonderful area. No bar area
Great Hotel in the best location for the pAris left bank - all was good except the cleaning processes for our rooms were below standard....
The beds were the best we have found in hotels on the left bank in Paris and we have stayed at many of those
Convenient location and nice style in hotel and surroundings and an excellent value, especially for a nice Paris hotel.
The location was great, right off the Luxembourg gardens and Senate. On a quiet street but VERY close to a lot of bistros, bars and restaurants. The room was very small, but clean. Staff was nice. The floor we were staying on smelled like stale smoke, and the rooms also had a stale smell. Thank goodness the windows in the room opened. The breakfast we paid extra for, was below mediocre. They ran out of eggs two of the three mornings we stayed there. When we brought it up to the kitchen, calmly requesting more eggs, they huffed around and then brought like two eggs worth of scrambled eggs.
The staff were helpful, the hotel was quite small but smarly decorated and the room service food ( from a restaurant nearby ? ) was very good and not expensive for this area where the hotel was located . The lobby/bar areas were very comfortable with space t sit, relax and read ( lots books and magazines ! ) My ( loft ) room was a "suite" ( free upgrade ) and was lovely - except for the HUM of the airconditioning unit , very hard to sleep !
I liked the staff at the front desk. They were very freindly, helpful and went out of their way to help. We had to leave early and they really helped us out. I had to make changes in airtravel early in the morning and the night office person could not have been nicer. I will definately stay at this hotel when I return to Paris. Byron Lawler
location value for the money
Nice hotel. Good location on the Quartier Latin. Very Quiet . Stayed on a suit - Loft. Strange smell. (Not intense but it could be sensed)
location was great the hotel staff were helpfull and kind thr room was clean the bed was very comfterbale
the room/the friedliness of personell Too hot and not enough fresh air
After a very cold day wandering around Paris it was fantastic returning to a cosy room with lovely towels and an extremely comfortable bed The view from our room was of another bedroom
The location is very good regarding the resteraunts, the bars and being a hip location. The staff is polite and helpful The hotel is not a 4 star hotel as listed, but Appartments with 20 euro per day housekeeping service. Very small rooms like all of Paris. The reception is closed by 6 pm
Very good when travelling with baby given the kitchen facility. The staff was excellent - very nice and helpful. Location is very very good - few minutes from Boulevard St. Germain and Boulevard Saint Michel. No dislikes.
Location The concept of hte hotel is definitely nice. The execution is tired, however. Curtains ripped, very dark rooms (not enough lighting and 3 out of 6 lightbulbs in livingroom were not functioning upon arrival), old mattresses, an extremely uneven sofabed, not enough cutlery/glasses, the only drawer cabinet had 2 out of 4 drawers not functioning (storage space is already very limited for an appt for 4) and the 2 nightstands had click drawers that did not click shut anymore. No major thing, but unacceptable for a comparatively (London, Berlin) top notch price.
nice and quiet place. Hangers in the bathroom for the towels does not exist.
quiet, clean, good location Quite small for an apartment room, double bed comfortable but small and not much room to move in the bedroom. Also very small shower. Living area and kitchen were practical
Very high quality apartment - felt just like being at home
nice and courteous staff, location of the hotel was perfect , especially for a family with little child ( jardin de luxemburg with playground is 3 minutes away)
Hotel staff was very kind.
Modern design, comfortable bed, good shower I liked everything
Location,in-house facilities Too highly priced, poor service,no regular change of towels,no help with the luggage
The location, it was in an exellent square in front of university sorbonne . Big rooms for hotel in paris. Beautiful rooms with very nice architecture view. perhaps a little more of cheese and ham in breakfast
The hotel is in a great location and the lobby and other public facilities were beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We also liked that there were several restaurants all within the same square as the hotel. The rooms were tiny and the bathroom made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Also, the Internet only worked during the day.
The front desk staff was excellent and very helpful in all ways. None to comment on
The best in Select Hotel is location. It is situated in the center of Paris and it has good neighborhood with Sorbona and Luxemburg park. Muy bien. The room was too small for me and for people from wide area countries.
great location, great soundproof windows!unusually beautiful interior decoration! breakfast generous for paris conditions! if you weigh more than 50 kilos, do not go to ther bathroom-you may get stuck..
great design of the room, top floor (6th) was excellent, and you could not beat the TV in the bathroom mirror. really happy with this perfectly located gem.
Friendly, efficient staff. Nicely designed interior and excellent location. Comfortable room. We will definitely stay there again.
For this part of Paris the rooms are very nice and good value, with nice design and very comfortable beds. Internet in the rooms was not free, but at least available.
Very good location, very fancy common spaces (hall, breakfast room, reception). The room at the sixth floor was good, but not as great as common spaces. Bathtube/shower uncomfortable (without hang up for the shower and without shower curtain, it's a mess with the water everywhere).
It would be better to have wooden floor than carpet in the room. A shower stall rather than a bathtub would be more convenient. Breakfast a bit too light and with poor variety
Second time at hotel, great location
The staff was so friendly & helpful. The location was perfect for our first time in Paris, & the included breakfast was a wonderful perk!
The helpful and friendly staff, unique and attractive character of the rooms, and the excellent location made this a truely relaxing and memorable short break
1) hotel: Position & Charme of the decoration 2) room: Cleanliness & very good bathrooms 1) there is no hotel manager available during evening & night - only an employee with no authority to do anything, which does not seem in line with the standard of a good 3 star/BW Premier hotel 2) Rooms are not sufficiently sound-proof, specially the ground floor one, where discussions between personnel in the morning woke me up earlier
location and cosy rooms
it is very quiet even though in a very busy aera many stains on the carpet. rough bed.
Hotel is very cozy, staff was great and location even better.
room size and staff the breakfast was rather poor. there was no information that it was being renovated (painting).
The staff were very friendly and accommodating during our stay. We had a young child with us and used the babysitting service which was excellent.
Very polite and kind staff no
Central location, friendly staff, safety deposit box in room. It would be good if breakfast was included in the price, but that is not usually the case in Paris.
The staff was superb! They were extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very convenient to all the major tourist sites. The rooms had thin walls so you could hear the room next to you and the hallway quite easily. The rooms were also small but in my experience, that is quite normal for Paris hotels.
Front desk clerk was very helpful. Very good english.
Hotel Delavigne had a great location in the center of the Latin Quarter and very close to Metro. There wasn't anything special about this hotel. If it didn't have the great location, I probably wouldn't stay there again. Everything worked but it was a tight fit for 3 girls.
Staff on desk friendly and helpful. Hotel pretty clean The hotel was a little over priced for a three night stay given the quality of the accomodation.
Excellent location, in a quiet street and yet close to many attractions of Paris. The hotel staff is helpful and speaks English well. We had problems with the Wifi connection from the room, however it worked well for us from the lounge. Other guests could use it from their room as well, so the problem might have been on our side.
I loved the location of the hotel. The staff was also very helpful on several occasions and always pleasant. It'd be nice if the rooms had clocks
the hotel is located in a great place, with close by resturants and shops. the staff was wonderful and helpful. we enjoyed it very much! the rooms are small, but since we spent most of our days for sightseeing it wasn't an issue (our baby was with us as well and we managed)
location and price of room no
hotel was clean and staff helpful. Great location in left bank
The desk staff spoke English and were always friendly and helpful with our questions. A computer in the lounge was provided for hotel guests. The room was decorated very tastefully in simple French decor and was kept extremely clean. Hangars and a large closet were provided for unpacking. We enjoyed the breakfast with items such as deli meat, hard-boiled eggs, granola, yogurt, fruit, cheese, fresh bread & croissants. The location was perfect for us. We wanted to stay on the Left Bank close to a metro station. We could go anywhere easily from Odeon station. The neighborhood was lively, entertaining and charming, and we walked to many places nearby for sightseeing and dining. Our stay in Paris was fantastic! The only problem was the noise in the streets on Friday and Saturday nights. This was solved by buying earplugs at the Pharmacie.
It was an excellent location, on a quiet side street, near Metro restaurants and shopping. It also had the most reasonable prices for minibar water, sodas and drinks that I have seen in all my travels. We actually used it!
The location was very good and although the room was not large it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was not included in the price and although it was available it was a basic buffet
The Hotel was well located to Paris historic area. It was just a block away from the subway system allowing easy access to the city attractions and airport. Hotel front desk was cordial, but not overly freindly or helpful. Considering we could not speak the french language or familar with the area, so this lack of customer appreciation was disappointing.
Admosfare and very sentral To that heavy price breakfast should have been included in winther-season (not may - sept.) Last week we stayed two night at Krakow main square at a 5 star Hotel incl. brekfast x 2 mornings to nearby same price
Very friendly staff, the room had a lot of character. Very nice.
Localization, charm and simpaty poor services offer
near to st germain confortable hotel with ample room for Parisian standard smell of been smoking in my room
Excellent excellent location, in a calm street. I did not try the breakfast but the area is full of nice coffes...I will definitely come back to this same hotel. NA
Very good location! Right next to the jardim de luxembourg. Nice room, with a view - we could see the eiffel tower. Staff was very friendly, we were travelling with a small child.
Hotel in good location for left bank locations. Staff were helpful. Breakfast a bit disappointing if you don't get to the breakfast room early - the scrambled eggs were all gone!
Central location Superior room was really only of a standard level.
I have a sweet spot for Luxembourg Gardens, so this hotel could not have been in a more perfect spot. Huge bonus, it's steps from RER B, so getting to and from CDG could not be easier!
Location Specifically requested and contacted them for a double bed not two singles, upon arriving they gave us two singles, were too booked to exchange us till the next day and could only offer a mediocre room the following day. Not very impressed considering i had a verbal confirmation over the phone
Best location for sightseeing
Brilliant location, clean, friendly staff. Very old and shabby rooms. Asked for a non smoking room, but got a smoking room.
The front desk staff were helpful and friendly and spoke English. Our room was small but comfortable with a little balcony that had a view of the Eiffel Tower which sparkled at night (on the hour... very magical). The location was perfect since we are great fans of the Luxembourg gardens. Breakfast was from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. and if you arrived after nine they did not replenish what they were serving.
Excellent location, very helpful staff, clean and bright rooms, excellent linens - we are satisfied absolutely. Nothing!
The location is very good, 100 meters from a RER (train line that connects to the metro). Breakfast was ok. We were surprised in a negative way when we got to our room since the pictures from the site showed a better looking and newer room, however when we arrived it was not that way. When talking to the staff they said that the room we saw was in a category above the one we had paid.
very convient location, staff very friendly and helpfull.
Excelent location, silent at night, kindness and professionalism of staff, good room size, comfort. Breakfast should be included in the room rate.
friendly staff. Situation of hotel. Small selection at breakfast.
Excellent location. Unwelcoming staf on day of arrival. LImited TV channels options. No "do not disturb" note in the room and maid entering without warning.
The location is convenient to reach RER, but there are neither shops nor good restaurants in immediate proximity. The canteen is very small, the breakfast selection is poor.
The location and staff were great The hotel room was too hot.
the kindness of the staff the room was too small and uncomfortable to be a "superior double".
The Relaise Saint Jaques is a very fine well run hotel close to the Sorbon university in Paris and is idealy situated close to the Latin Quarter and the splendid Luxemburg gardens, The room was splendid with a good sized bathroom, and the staff on reception and the staff in the bufet breakfast room were very friendly and helpful all the time nothing was too much trouble. nothing i did not like.
the staff were really helpful. the rooms comfortable the kettle did not work
The hotel is very clean and all of the facilities have been updated. On a very pleasant, tree-lined quiet street near the Luxembourg Gardens. The room was a bit small given the (French government-awarded) 4-star rating. The muzak in the hallways is very annoying. A shower curtain would help keep the bathroom from getting flooded. Internet service should be for 24 hours, not two hours.
Very polite personel and the position was good.
Relatively good value, nice room, helpful multi-lingual staff that didn't laugh at my bad french
Large and pleasant room and bathroom. The hotel staff was very slow during check in and check out. The bathroom was not regularly restocked with shampoo, shower gel etc. No turn-down service.
Good location and kind staff A little bit small room
The staff were friendly but non intrusive. The decor was enchanting. The room was comfortable and very roomy. The hotel was situated in an interesting and attractive area of Paris.
Rooms are small, yet very comfortable. Price (200 euro) - you can get better for such amount of money, yet, it is Paris at summer so no wonder.
This hotel has a luxury boutique feel to it - the location, the decor, the staff. Room not huge but anywhere in the world there is a trade off between premium location and room size... We have stayed in similar (or actually less charming & intimate) hotels in St Germain before but here the price tag was less than half! Rooms backing on to lift slightly noisier as you can hear the lift every time it operates. Also school bells from school next door audible. But the noise is not too bad, all in all the street is quiet but 3 minutes away from the lively and busy parts of the quarter which must be much noisier in general.
The staff and service were excellent. Would recommend.
Location Rooms are of absolutely minimal size
The staff was wonderful and very helpful. This hotel, which is located in a quiet and beautiful area is very close to the luxembourg garden, metros and shopping streets with nice boutiques and good restaurants. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay very much! Some noise from a school nearby but this was not too disturbing.
I liked very much the location, how clean was and I have to mention the nice and friendly atmosphere. everything was ok.
Nice staff, good breakfast (quite expensive), great location. Backyard view.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were well maintained and very clean. .
The double room (incl. superior) has enough space to open one suitcase. As we stayed behind the main street, it was not noisy in the night to have good sleep. The staff is friendly. The lift is really small, only two person without suitcases can enter. There was no door between bathroom and toilette.
conveniently located near the RER station which makes it easy to get to the airport and train stations. Only one staff was very helpful. The rest require further training on customer service.
Great breakfast, really helpful staff, nice relaxed atmosphere. A really good location and good value for money.
the staff were both welcoming and very helpful our return flight was cancelled and they made great efforts to assist
The staff were very friendly and helpful
Breakfast was nice and value for money The hotel was being reconstructed while we visited.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom large with great shower. Wouldn't hestitate to stay here again or recommend. Location is perfect.
The staff on reception were very helpful and would go out of their way to assist you according to your needs. The only negative thing i could say was that they were refurbishing some of the rooms and floors throughout our stay so builders and carpet covers etc were on the stairs. Also there were the odd loud noises from machinery.
Nice staff. Great location.
