Pros: Great staff, clean quiet room, ample parking.
Pros: We loved it here and will stay here again everytime we need an overnight in the city! It was perfect for catching the Larkspur ferry as its just minutes away. This made our Super Bowl activities that much easier. The owners were fantastic and made us feel like family. Can't wait to come back!!!
Pros: The Marin Lodge was charming and clean and completely redone recently. Rooms were cozy and comfortable with nice accommodations and we will be back!! Would HIGHLY recommend staying here!
Pros: Great customer service!
Pros: The location is great - close to downtown San Rafael. Also, it is a good value for your money, since other hotels seem to be way more expensive. The hotel manager was also a nice guy. It was a nice quaint hotel.
Cons: Main problem was the hot water was not on when we tried to take a shower in the morning. Apparently they were doing some work in our unit, and jumped the gun on turning off the water ahead of time. Also, the phone did not work as well. The actual room was also pretty small - basically a studio room.
Pros: The staff was very kind with my very late 11:30pm check in. Also they have free water bottles! The room was elegantly decorated with IKEA stuffs but it was comfortable. We liked it very much. We would definitely stay there again.
Pros: We loved this place. We would have stayed longer if we would have found it sooner. the bed was comfortable, the room had all the amenities you would expect; TV, hair dryer, microwave, iron, etc. They have a free continental breakfast of blueberry muffins and fresh fruit and coffee as well as complimentary sodas and bottled water
Cons: The parking was very limited but I believe it was due to the construction which was apparently for remodeling as we noticed a distinct smell of fresh paint. It was a little far to drive from local eateries unless you are familiar with the area.
Enjoy your visit to San Rafael with a stay at Marin Lodge. You'll have free perks like WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Awesome views of Golden Gate bridge and San francisco city (we got seriously lucky with the weather - there was no fog). The hike on Marin Headlands offers beautiful vistas. The resort has good restaurants & very good service. The open field provides a good area for kids to play.
Cons: The field was uneven

Windows open to the fresh bay breezes. Rollaway beds, complimentary cribs/infant beds, and connecting/adjoining rooms are available.
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and the happy hour after a long ride on complimentary bikes was a nice way to end the day.
Cons: I missed having a hot tub or sauna.

Some rooms feature fireplaces, soaking tubs, and private balconies. Wireless Internet access is available in each guest room. The Mill Valley Inn is a non-smoking property.
Pros: The location is perfect for a visit to Sausalito. You can walk to everything.
Cons: Charging for wifi over 1Gb use, the spa was not open, finding a masseuse was impossible, no lotion in the bathroom was a negative for me.
Pros: Good location and nice appearance
Cons: Very disputed to book this room at $--- a night, and then have them surprise me at checkout with an additional $25 hotel fee. Very cheesy thing to do; nickel and dime, cheesy thing to do.
Pros: Charming Hotel in the heart of Sausalito
Pros: The hotel was clean and modern. The air conditioner worked well. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. There were robes.
Cons: We were told we would have a 'courtyard' view, but our window looked out to a wall and drainage pipe. The bed and all pillows were rock hard and the bed squeaked. I had a backache the next day. The room was dark and stark. No artwork.
Pros: The location is excellent
Cons: I believe because I arrived in the evening, they bumped me to a room that was noisier and didn't have a bath tub as it said it would when I booked.
Pros: We like that it was right at,the beginning of down town. The location was good.
Cons: For the price we paid we expected a nicer room and better service. The bathroom sick handle was broken, the patio deck table was broken, there was a fist size tear in the carpet, and my high heel kept getting stuck and I tripped twice.
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The staff was so accommodating and nice all around.
Pros: Great location, right next to the water and close to restaurants.
Cons: The room was not the one I had reserved, and the difference between the room I reserved and the one I got was not clear.
Pros: This is a classy hotel in Sausalito which is beautiful.
Cons: We were in 'The Mansion' which sounds nicer than it really was. We had a small room that was hard to get to with no view. I'm sure the hotel pricing was in line with other local facilities but was expensive.
Pros: clean bed sheets
Cons: views weren't great for price paid
It is situated among the main tourist area of Sausalito, with easy access to many shops and restaurants. Taxis were readily available to take us elsewhere, such as Mill Valley ($35 ride, same cost as Uber). Great unique set up of the room, far from conventional.
Pros: We arrived early and the very friendly staff called us when our room was ready. They upgraded us to a bay view room that had a balcony, chairs and a small table (perfectly romantic). The room appeared to be redone and for the most part was very attractive.
Pros: It was a very nice hotel. My girlfriend loved it. She works for the airline industry so if she was impressed that says it all. I will go back.

Pros: This is a fun place to stay really close to the center of Sausalito, excellent restaurants close by, excellent views of San Francisco, easy access to Golden Gate and the Marine Headlands park.
Pros: Great location, wonderful room, really just an exquisite little place. Loved the wine and cheese at 5:30; had to check out before breakfast, though. :(
Cons: The glum, unfriendly guy who checked us in. Thankfully, he was replaced a short while later by a smiling, friendly woman.
Pros: Walking distance to all of the cool spots in Sausalito.
Staff was very helpfull.
The Gables Inn - Sausalito puts you within a 15-minute drive of Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts. Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking, and free perks include continental breakfast and WiFi. Rooms offer up nice touches like premium bedding and bathrobes.
Pros: Great location! Near the bay, ferry, shops, restaurants, cafe, small fishing pier for the kids, walking path and grocery store. Views of the city and GG Bridge. Need any fishing tips for you and the kids? Talk to Ron at the grocery store meat department, the guy is local and a great resource.
Pros: Wine and nibbles
Cons: People in the next room had a party on Sunday night. Called the front desk 3x... 10:30, 11:00, 12:30. Finally they did something at 1245. People left, but 2 drunk girls kept on yapping until 1:30 am. Never again.
Cons: Sounded like I was in an apartment complex. Stomping on floor above started at around 5am. 0 water pressure. Just a little dribble coming out of the shower head. Did not get a good nights rest at all.
Pros: The Inn was great for breakfast and late evening - I was not expecting that, and the food and the service was so good that I did not eat anywhere else.
Outside the lobby is a very nice seating area for meeting friends.
The room and bath were spacious. It was quieter than I expected. I was near the ice machine, either nobody else used it, or the room was insulated enough that the noise didn't come through.
The pillows - usually I ask for extras, not necessary at The Lodge.
Cons: The pool was lovely, there wasn't enough seating - a group of non-swimmers had taken over the cabana, as I was alone, I had to join a family group, which is okay in some countries, in California it felt like I was imposing.
Pros: Location, fireplaces, front desk staff.
Cons: Old building with loud A/C units, and fan. Housekeeping was moving furniture above us and continuously banging the floor at 8 AM.
Location. This Tiburon, California hotel is on the Tiburon Peninsula, within approximately one-quarter mile of Old St. Hilary's Church and China Cabin.
Hotel Features. The Lodge at Tiburon has a spa tub, swimming pool, and a fitness facility. Work-related amenities include a business center and wireless Internet access as well as printing and copying services (surcharges). The Lodge at Tiburon also features the fine-dining Tiburon Tavern preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner with produce from local farms.
Guestrooms. Amenities featured in all 103 guestrooms include DVD players, iPod docking stations, and complimentary WiFi. Guestrooms have cable television with premium TV channels. Each room is individually decorated. All guestrooms are non-smoking.
Pros: David the dining room greeter was so pleasant, friendly and cheerful. Most people don't even notice him, but I think he is doing a great job.
Pros: Hotel staff was nice. The food selection was good . Bed was comfy and room was clean.
Cons: Asked for our bed to be made while we were out, but all the housekeeper did was put a pile of towels on the couch. We had to call later to ask them to make the bed. It may seem like a small matter, but don't think it's too much to ask. Nice to have a tidy room after a long day.
Pros: Very quiet and always appreciate the breakfast and happy hour!
Cons: Wish the train was operating to Sonoma. Still a few months away. That will be awesome.
Pros: Nice place for families
Cons: Couldn't control air conditioning to get colder
Pros: The room design, hotel layout, coy ponds, happy hour, breakfast, pool, honor bar style shop.
Cons: It's a little run down and the bar closes early. It seems like it should be open later on weekends. Especially when there are no other options near by.
Pros: Spacious Rooms
Cons: Cost, long walk to room
Pros: The indoor waterfall and koi pond, part of their tropical atrium, are really unique. They have substantial snacks in the evening and great breakfast.
Pros: Clean, quiet and comfortable! Great happy hour and full breakfast
Cons: To holder is behind the user! Awkward!!
Pros: Nice location and a beautiful lobby. Quiet. Very large rooms that can comfortable fit 4 people. Liked the complimentary treats during the midday to evening. Each room has 2 rooms, each with its own hdtv. Comfortable beds with nice sheets. I used the fridge, which worked very well and kept my drinks very cold.
Cons: It was obvious it hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. The facility was dirty. Literally. There was urine on the seat and toilet paper in the bowl. The backs of earrings were on the counter and we only had one set of towels for a room meant for two people. I called to have it cleaned and it took them over an hour to send anyone. And when they did, after I'd called a second time to remind them, the maid merely flushed the toilet and left without cleaning anything.
I requested to have my room switched but the person at the front desk said they were fully booked. So I was out of luck and decided to stick it out.
Later that night I realized the ironing board and doors to the armoire were broken. Yet another disappointment.
The next morning I was out of the room by 9:45 am. I came back just before 3 pm and found my room hadn't been cleaned. I waited over an hour before the maid knocked on my door. She walked in, made the beds, took away the wet towels, and within 10 minutes she left. She never touched the counters, vacuumed, or disinfected the bathroom.
Then, to no surprise by this point, I went to use the complimentary microwave and found it a mess. It had obviously been used many times and never been cleaned. Luckily the first maid left a roll of paper towels by mistake. I cleaned it myself.
If I stay here again, I'll have to remember to bring Clorox bleach, a sponge, rubber gloves, paper towels and air freshener. I'll keep my usual tip to cover my extra expenses.
And it's 2015 Embassy Suites. What hotel doesn't offer complimentary wifi?! Especially at nearly $200 a night.
Pros: i like the hotel, it was beautiful, I enjoy the water fall, coy fish, the hotel grounds very nice. the breakfast excellent...
P.S. I like being on the firs floor. that provided us a great access to the beautiful scenery the hotel has to offer.
Cons: I did not like the room. it was not what I expected from a beautiful hotel.
the living room had a big conference table, it fell like I was at an office, that made it very uncomfortable, we wanted a private place to hangout but with the big table and office chairs, it was not possible.
we ask the staff " a guy" for the room to be change but the staff member, that we ask, he told us we need it to pay an additional $50.
I you can see as was not away in business nether was I meeting with other people for biasness.
the staff member made a remark that my room was book by you guys and that they could not change any!!!
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: Internet wasn't free for me.
Pros: It's a clean, well-kept facility with a good location. The bed was comfortable and the price was reasonable.
Cons: The structure magnifies noise, and the hotel doesn't discourage it, with loud parties and conversation continuing past midnight. The fitness room is small and one of the four machines broken throughout our stay. A calamity one morning canceled the highly touted breakfast, with no acknowledgment or discount by the hotel. Internet access is $10 per day. It's fine, and I confess that I haven't stayed in a better full-service hotel in the area, but there is no reason to look forward to staying at this property.

Cons: Our laundry was stolen and the staff was less then helpful in trying to locate it or at least see lif and when it was taken
Pros: Good customer service despite a overbooking problem, yummy breakfast offered (not complimentary).
Cons: Overpowering smell in the room likely from cleaning products. Hotel overbooked and we were downgraded from king to double bed.
Cons: I didn't like the adjacent doors that are now added to the rooms. Made me very uncomfortable during the night. There are latched on them, so I wasn't really sure if the door was locked.
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: They did not honor the pricing booked through Kayak. They charged me over double the agreed upon rate. They have a policy to not honor pricing if you don't book within their time window.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facility is very well maintained and clean. The room was really nice and bed was comfortable. Fitness center was spacious and high tech - cold bottled water was a bonus.
Pros: Comfortable room with very friendly staff. We enjoy the stays very much.
Cons: My room is a bargain with almost 50% price of the regular room. Very good value but the room faces I-101 with highway noise. You may want to check with the hotel for better rooms.
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: Older hotel, overall I don't think I will ever go back
Pros: I travel for business and have stayed in many, many hotels over the last few years. I've never written a review for a hotel until today. I was very impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the Four Points San Rafael. The staff was happy to be there and happy to help me in whatever way I needed. Whether it was extending my checkout time significantly or getting me 4 bottles of extra water or faxing my papers out for me, it was done with a smile. The service here made all the difference to my experience. The room was also very clean and well kept. Thanks Four Points!
Pros: Everything was good. It is nice to be able to count on this hotel to give good service every visit.

Cons: Expect much more for the price
Best to book online, staff are obviously trained to quote highest price possible with no power to negotiate.
Pros: The shower was amazing and the beds awesome
Cons: No hot water at all on Friday morning waited over a hour and still nothing but ice water in the shower. When hot water was available shower w as awesome
Pros: The location worked well for me, close to Sausalito.
The housekeeping staff did a good job with the room.
Cons: Hotel is dated and the carpets and furniture are worn. No restaurants in the immediate area. It is overpriced for what it offers. Far better to stay a bit further north - better value.

Pros: Location and ease of access from side. 'Free' parking.
Cons: Breakfast was a joke. Bad coffee and a granola bar?
Pros: Had a pool and hot tub
Cons: Hotel had potential to be quite good but they are penny wise and pound foolish. One washcloth per unit unless you request more for multiple people in unit and are willing to go to lobby for more! Expected better amenities (coffee) for travel weary.
Pros: Friendly staff, good facility, convenient, views.
Cons: Can't afford to live there.
Pros: Location is close to Muir Woods where we were visiting the following morning.
Cons: YES!Front desk space messy with boxes, door open behind desk to laundry which created smell; not even a cup or dish in the room that had a full kitchen; I COULD HEAR THE GUESTS NEXT DOOR WHO WERE TALKING IN A NORMAL VOICE BUT STAYED UP PAST MIDNIGHT!
Pros: Kitchen available
Cons: The staff left a lot to be desired. No one was at the front desk to check me in. After ringing for assistance, the clerk appeared put out that she had to check me in. Chewing her food like a cow. The kitchen in my room had NOTHING. It was after 7:00 pm.
Pros: Price, cleanliness, location
Pros: This hotel is a great value, and very near San Quentin State Prison.
Pros: There was only one person working at the desk at all times and they each had perfect customer service.
Cons: They need to have two people working the front desk. Since it is an extended stay they have to do too many jobs for just one person.
Pros: The price compared to other places.
Cons: The location is in an industrial area without any restaurants nearby. The breakfast was only instant oatmeal and beverages. I expected a little more. One morning a foreigner even told his kids that it's a typical American breakfast. Other problems, to
Pros: Free parking, clean big room, relatively cheap, very nice staff
Cons: The free internet is a joke, the breakfadt isn't really continental, not even a creamer for the coffee. We had a smoke detector blinking green light above the bed which drove me mad.
Pros: The price, clean rooms.
Cons: No bathtub, no continental breakfast as advertised and no coffee.
When visiting San Rafael, Extended Stay America San Rafael - Francisco Boulevard East is a great choice to consider. You can get a morning swim in at the indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Pros: The bathroom worked as it should. There was hot water in the shower. The drains and toilet worked fine.
Cons: My wife called the morning we were going to check in to confirm we'd have a room with a queen and double sized beds. She was told we're confirmed and that wouldn't be a problem. When we got to our room that night we had quite a surprise - the room had the double bed we asked for but the other bed was a... twin bed! I called the front desk to ask why there was a twin bed in our room.
"Your room has a queen and a double".
"I'm standing in my room right now and there's no queen bed here".
"How did you book your room?"
"We're not responsible for what the website promised you".
"Oh no, no no. YOU just told me I had a queen bed. I am asking YOU to make good on YOUR promise of a queen bed".
Silence for about 10 seconds. Then "We're all booked up for the night and there aren't any other rooms".
Just out of curiosity, I checked the hotel website and there's no mention anywhere of a room with a twin bed.
The next morning I went to the front desk to ask for a call from the manager to refund a portion of my bill. The front desk clerk asked what my complaint was and I told her about the beds in the room.
"That room has a queen and double beds".
"No it doesn't. It's a twin bed".
"How did you book your room?"
"We're not responsible for what the website promised you".
"I've heard. But YOU told my wife yesterday we'd have a queen bed. YOUR employee last night told me that room had a queen bed and YOU also just told me that room has a queen bed. I am asking YOU to make it right".
Loud sigh. "I'll have the manager call you".
It's been two weeks Mr Manager. Still waiting for that call....

Pros: Drug deals and lots of yelling in parking lot.
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: Broken lock on front door, screen on Bath window was ripped. Walkway was not level
Pros: The location was OK and the linens were clean, other than that, a real pit.
Cons: Stop listing this property as the association with the Travelodge name is very deceiving. The upper floor slants, possible structural issues and the breakfast was a sad joke. Like I said, a real pit and for the rates are, will never stay or recommend that anybody does.
The pool has been drained and is now a large planter.
Pros: Value. Proximity to Muir Woods. Comfortable. Clean. Everything worked. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive.
Cons: A little noisy- close to busy road.
Pros: Bathroom seemed recently remodeled but sink faucet was installed too close to backsplash making it difficult to use the drain handle.
Cons: Ended up in a handicap room with no place -not even hooks - to hang our clothes. Why? "Because the law doesn't require it." Seriously!
Pros: No frills but clean and reasonably priced.
Cons: Continental breakfast is nothing to write home about, only mini bagels and cereal.
Cons: GRUMPY FRONT DESK, THEY DO NOT OPERATE ROOM TELEPHONE SERVICE UNTILL 1 MORNING @11 A.M. MISSED A IMPORTANT OUT OF STAY CAL!L no pool( filled in with grass ) but they do advertise that they have a pool! NO BREAKFAST, WHATEVER, BUT THEY ADVERTISE. KEEP GOING!!!
Pros: Easy to find. Check in was easy. Nice tub. Free wifi.
Cons: Bed was horrible. Ice maker broken. Refrigerator was very noisy. Our stay was unpleasant.

Pros: nice room, very convenient for function we were attending.
Cons: mattress was nice but bed was extremely noisy.
Pros: The location was nice but if you're willing to drive a few miles north there are nicer hotels for the same price.
Cons: The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It had several broken springs and was bulging on the sides. The room was very small and there was a table that blocked access to the right side of the king sized bed so you had to crawl on to the bed from the foot of it. No dressers, only a small rack that the tv is mounted to to hang. No shower head, water was spraying at full blast out of a pipe coming from the wall like a hydrant which was not awful but it required me to ricochet water off my hands on to my face if I didn't want water to go up my nose.
Pros: We loved this place, especially for the insanely good price. Walk to Buckeye Roadhouse for steak and back home. Can't beat it.
Cons: Not enough blankets so we were a bit cold.
Cons: Staff is rude. Breakfast is poor.
