service, surroundings, room no bath in room
Brilliant staff and excellent bar/restaurant. The annex rooms whilst comfortable enough are not to the same standard as the main hotel rooms. Would not stay in the Annex part again.
the staff were 1st class, helpfull, friendly, & worked well, meals were excellent
This was the nearest hotel to the Loch Ness Museum and to have a boat trip so my grandsons could go Nessie hunting. The breakfast was good and we had a lovely dinner for the five of us. The fact that Nessie was not accommodating to show herself when we were there.
nothing food and the rooms
pleasant staff breakfast not warm and choice not good
walls between rooms are so thin you could hear next doors tv, even if it wasnt very loud, never mind if they were speaking. Also staffing seemed to be problem, no one at reception, 1 bartender for restaruant and bar who kept disappearing as he seemed to have so many other jobs to do, and the waitresses couldnt serve drink.
Staff were very helpful and frendly The Rain !!
The hotel was situated in a perfect location for the Loch and Urchat Castle. Nice town and visitor attractions only a short walk away.
The hotel was far from busy (this is definitely the low season in the Loch Ness area) but the staff were welcoming and attentive, the room was well-equipped, and the food was very good and excellent value for money.
good food, great staff, clean and modern facilities. room above dining area below and noisy as had window open for fresh air. also if had a choice would have liked a bath for our baby
The staff at the Loch Ness inn were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable nicely & newly decorated and warm : ) The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent (had 3 meals there in total). The location of the hotel was close to the visitors centre, the castle and loch Ness itself. And the best thing was the price : )
We found the staff very friendly and helpful, the room excellent and both the evening meal and breakfast delicious.
Excellent facilities, nice countryside decoration, friendly staff, really good value for the money. Close to Urqhart castle but no views on Loch Ness though, bring a car. Very nice restaurant, it is not cheap but food was very good! Location was nice but very close to the main road that gets busy during weekends. A bit far from the Loch Ness to go walking.
Lovely, spotless hotel. Rooms were very comfortable, staff were excellent and food was amazing. Will definitely return
The simplicity and good staff There was nothing I did not like
Friendly & helpfull staff, lovely clean & comfortable room, great food & drinks, all round excellent stay thankyou! None
Nice, clean, and wide room. Nothing, particurally.
We received the handicap accessible room on the ground floor, which was quite spacious. No shelf or hook in the bathroom.
The best part of the stay was undoubtedly the good. We really looked forward to our evening meal. There was nothing that we didn't like!
The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay at the lodge customised just for my husband and me. They were extremely attentive yet not intrusive. Having to leave!
Well appointed rooms, friendly staff, excellent food and a warm welcome. It simply could not have been better.
Comfortable and clean room in a nice quiet location with splendid views of Loch Ness. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for making this a memorable wedding anniversary.
A place with a hearth. The staff, and particularly Scot, is warmful and helpful. Two thumbs up!
the location was fantastic, our room was the best you could want, the service was exceptional, the food interesting and delicious. The host and staff couldn't do enough for you. no
Wonderfull loctaionand the innkeeper and his staff is wonderfull
Outstanding views Dinner and afternoon tea prices were not made plain to us until we asked/received our bill.
rooms were very comfortable and every guest need well thought outbreakfast was excellent
The service, quality and dining are second to none. They set very high standards and consistently over deliver. Nothing
Everything about this hotel has been carefully thought out and excellently executed. There are very few hotels where one can enjoy a stay like we had at this one.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good and resonably priced. One or two items need to be addressed. Carpets in our bedroom "looked" dirty, and needed to be refitted due to the gaps at some points between carpet and skirting. Although not a priority, the tv was also faulty.
The rooms were clean and well equiped. The staff were all fiendly and very helpful. Some of the decore is a bit dated.
No heating in hotel room only electric plug in bar man lacked personality and was never behind bar when you wanted to order had to go to reception and ring bell for service
Very friendly staff, nice hotel atmosphere, great location. Ceiling is paper-thin. Couldn't sleep -every time the guest upstairs moved, we could hear the floor creaking very loudly. Not pleasant at all.
Really nice hotel, friendly, good location, good breakfast, nice bar area, Very dim light in ensuite bathroom
Friendly atmosphere breakfast on the last morning was very disappointing, food was cold, very little choice, not enough for the amount of people, ruined last morning of holiday.
Big Room The waterflow was extremely poor and the amount of warm water was bad.The half hotelroom price in advance taken from credit card is not refunded, You pay 1.5 time the room rate this way. Several calls to the hotel do not solve this problem. (I was not the only one in that matter)
Everything - we arrived at 8pm and were welcomed by Kate on Reception. We had dinner in the hotel and the service and food (and price!) were impeccable. The room was clean, comfortable and we had a great sleep. The next day, the full Scottish breakfast was as good as the dinner the night before. We also used the pool, tree swing, trampoline and wandered around the property. We'll go again! When the toilet refilled after flushing, the pipes were a bit noisy.
surroundings were excellent for relaxing in bedroom decor could be brought up to date.
Friendly helpful staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere great food Not close to village
The manager berry was really good. The grounds, swiming pool, tenis court need work
The staff were wonderful, the lounge and bar were very nice, the room was fabulous, the grounds and facilities were brilliant, and the whole place has great history. also a very short drive from Loch-ness.
Peace and quiet. Excellent food. Cleanliness of room. Initially disappointed to be given a standard, single room - when I thought I had reserved single occupancy of a twin room. Nevertheless the facilities were more than acceptable and the room was kept clean and tidy, which more than made up for the slight sense of initial disappointment.
food was outstanding. Very tranquil location
Nice country location Slightly run down facilities. The chef cooked the main meal to perfection, only to be overheard through the kitchen door resenting the desserts we ordered as we were the last people in the restaurant. Completely ruining the evening and leaving us furious. No guest should ever have to experience what we overheard. For this fact, I will never recommend or visit this estblishment again.
We stayed here for 3 nights whilst exploring Loch Ness and the surrounding area. The b&b is situated about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Drumnadrochit where you will find restaurants, shops, the tourist information and visitor centre. Loch Ness boat trips also start from here and Urquhart castle is a short drive away. The b&b is attached to the owner’s house, however it has a separate entrance and its own lounge/breakfast area. The breakfast was very tasty and the room spotless. The room was slightly on the small side, however this was not a problem for the amount of time we spent there.
The staff (Sarah) was extremely welcoming and warm.
The owner was very hospitable, especially in finding us a place to eat upon our late arrival (which was excellent). The breakfast options were good. The b&b was perfectly situated. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and it was close to all of the main attractions in the area. The bed wasn't very good. It was too soft and we both were a bit sore the next day.
Fantastic location, not too far from woodland walks or places to eat. The set out was nice. The breakfast was very good.
Location, the good packed lunches, nice people Not really a drying room
Everything was great, the location, the room, the breakfast and especially the hospitality of our host.
A great experience, we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and Sarah the owner is friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. I would recommend it to anyone. The location is great too, slightly away from the village centre but still handy for meals and shops, and with access to some nice walks and facilities such as pony-trekking, horse-riding and bicycle hire.
Warm welcome, small but clean room, the best haggis in Scotland according to Sarah. The taste was good, but knowing what it is made of, this is a 'once in a lifetime experience' for me. The shower had a thermostat that didn't function very well. The watertemperature constantly changed from cold to dangerously hot. When I complained about it, Sarah told me that I should have read the manual in the room. Well, I was in the shower and not in the room, wasn't I? The fact that it is a bit odd in the first place to have to read a manual to take a shower didn't bother her at all. When I suggested that she'd hang up an instruction in the bathroom or at least warn the guests, she didn't agree. It was all my fault not reading the manual and of the changing waterpressure. The fact that bothered me the most is that she didn't even say sorry.
Clean sufficient . is very difficult to find it with the nav-sat . The room is so much little . In the night you will hear wen the guest of the next room go in the bathroom ...The only hotel in all GB that pretend the payment cash !!!
Lovely situation Helpful staff very clean Excellent breakfast Room quite small Fairly isolated...had towalk about half a mile to nearest pubs etc.
