Terrible. Car was already beat up badly and they charged me anyway for scratches I couldn't definitively prove weren't there when I rented. Charged me an exorbitant amount for simply being a few hours late. Felt more like extortion than a car rental
Horrible. They tried to rip me off with a bait and switch. When I arrived they said I had zero insurance and the cost to add it was TWICE the amount of the reservation. For example, the reservation was for around $200 and they wanted to charge me $600. When I complained they said they could drop it to $500 but required a $3000+ deposit and were going to limit the amount of miles I could drive without a penalty. Luckily my bank blocked the charge and I walked out and had to go look for another company to take my business. Never again and I think Kayak should consider removing them from their roster of rental companies. What a horrible experience to be in a foreign country and being ripped off like that. It's taking advantage of someone and luckily I was able to have Avis help me out last minute.
We had 3 cars in 7 days. The first hybrid, batteries failed at 5000km. The second, steering vibration on the motorway was unbearable. The third OK. Time wasted, incalculable incursion on our holiday, hours spent returning the two cars and fear of breaking down on the way back to the only centre near us, Porto. Roadside assistance, no help at all. Even with the assistance of tourists info center staff. Price, cheap. But we paid big time in lost holiday time and enjoyment. Never again.
Terrible experience due at least in part to your incomplete service. The company does not accept Amex, which was not mentioned in any of your documents. As I did not have any other card, they wanted to charge me 120 pounds for the service. I had to find another company, at a cost of around 70 pounds (Enterprise). Lost hours in the process. All because the terms and conditions in your booking were incomplete. I expect from you an apology and a full reimbursement of the cost I incurred. Pls let me know the procedure Thank you
The drop-off sucked. Tiny office and Athens. Tiny office. Horrible traffic. There was no driveway. Had to park i a lane on the busy street. Very stressful. The guy parked it on the sidewalk and then went over the car with a magnifying glass and asking me to compare before fotos. Taking a rag and wiping off tiny things. Never been through that kind of scrutiny with a car company. Luckily did not hit or scrape anything but this pressure is too much. Will rent with one of the big guys next time. Also charged me a whole day for being 2 hours late and on tip of that I lost $30deposit due to the exchange rate or something. Geez!
They only provided full insurance option at a high cost No third party liability only option
I rented a car online via this company and no where in the policy did it say that who ever is filling the information out on line and pays for it, has to be the driver. Therefore I had to forfeit what I paid, because I wasn't the intended driver, not would they make an exception.
Fair price, a small que at the pick up, but very positive overall experience
Drop off was easy and fine. But to take the car it took almost 1,5 hour. On top there were some problem with their system, so still it was some messaging day after, Shuttle bus - small van for 7 people when we came the cue was 15 people on the shuttle bus there is no written it is green motion, good that we asked , otherwise would be waiting for another hour. The car itself was very poor cleaned, also they demanded 21 euro additional payment as a cleaning fee, which never heard in my renting history. So, I paid to avoid cleaning rental car during my vacation. I ve got fiat panda, which was ok, but with zero equipment, not cleaned front glass ( you can barely see against sun), no water in front shield water pipes. I would pay 100 eur more to avoid all this things. Very strange they do have such a high rating.
We had booked a mid-size vehicle specifically because we were travelling with four people and had three checked suitcases plus carry-on luggage. Based on the vehicle description and booking information, we expected the car to comfortably accommodate our passengers and luggage. However, upon arrival, we were provided with a vehicle that could only fit two checked suitcases plus one carry-on in the trunk. Our third checked suitcase had to be placed on the middle seat, along with two carry-on bags, while all four passengers were in the vehicle. This was extremely uncomfortable and clearly not suitable for our travel needs. We immediately raised our concerns with the rental staff and explained that the vehicle provided did not meet our requirements. Unfortunately, we were not offered any suitable alternative. We were essentially told to take the vehicle and continue with our journey. As a result, the entire time we had the vehicle was uncomfortable and stressful. When our fifth passenger joined us later during the trip, it was impossible for everyone and our luggage to fit safely in the vehicle. We were therefore forced to rent a second, smaller vehicle at an additional cost, effectively paying double for transportation. This situation could have been avoided if we had been provided with the appropriate vehicle class that we originally booked, or if a suitable alternative had been offered when we raised the issue at pickup. I am requesting that you review this matter and provide an appropriate refund or compensation for the unsuitable vehicle provided and the additional rental costs we incurred as a direct result.
