Pros: I selected this hotel based on location as I was attending a conference and didn't want to have a long commute. Compared to other hotel in the same area this one had a much better value for money. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and staff was helpful. The food available for room service was good for those late evenings when I was tired and didn't feel like trying to find dinner outside. For people having longer stays or trying to save a bit of money the rooms do have a minibar and kitchen area with utensils that you could use to prepare simple meals.

Pros: The location is great for downtown. We went to a concert at the Toyota Center next door and it was very convenient. We did a sunday brunch a couple of blocks away and really enjoyed that as well. Great hotel and nice rooms.
Cons:
4.2 Okay
Pros: I liked how spacious my room was.
Cons: The environment was very R rated. We stayed here so we could walk at all times to visit our baby in NICU across the street. However, as soon as the hit, all you would see entering the hotel werw hookers, drunk people falling and spilling their drinks in the elevator, and half naked women smoking and coughing at the only entrance to the hotel. Definitely not the germs I wanted to bring back to my baby in NICU. Im 90% some sketchy illegal things were going on in this hotel. It also seems like the staff was aware of it since they all seemed to turn a blind eye to all this very obvious activity. I felt unsafe entering and leaving my hotel room.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff is very friendly and responsive and working hard in their jobs. The location to where we visited was very nice-we could walk to Rice Village for food and shopping and to many of the places we wanted to go. Our suite was very nice size wise, especially as we were here multiple nights. The view out of the window of the city and the green trees was enjoyable too.
Cons: The property is under renovation. It is an awkward entrance-no place to park to drop bags. We originally had a suite with 2 doubles and were changed to a king so our almost adult son had to sleep on the sofa bed which is not as comfortable as a real bed. With a sofa bed, we end up doing the work of making the bed, putting it away, etc. Even though they knew we had 3 people, the sofa bed was not made up and the sheets were just dropped off. Each day we had to ask for a third towel even though we registered with 3 guests. We were near the elevator and some loud doors that kept us up some at night-not the night sleep we expect from Hilton. There was no discount, free breakfast etc. for the hotel deciding to change our room from what we reserved months ago to a sofa bed set-up. One day we were gone all day and came back at 4 and no housekeeping yet-they were working hard but I think understaffed from our impression. Next day-same thing-arrived back by 12:30 or so and no housekeeping-not as nice to come back to unmade beds and wet towels. We felt that we were lower priority in the location of our room, service, etc. They had given us this room as a larger group had come for longer and needed our room. I think there should have been some adjustment for this although we did not ask for one but later thought we really seemed to get the short end of the stick so to speak. The price was fair for what we received given a suite. Our sink was badly cracked but overall a nice room. We were also disappointed that the huge pool area had no hot tub. For our weather-we would have used a hot tub every night. That should be added. Given these things, if we come back, I can’t say we wont stay here and hope for a better room if the price is better and but I think from this experience, I will look at other hotels first.
4.2 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Horrible experience for an overpaid room. Our truck wouldn't fit in private parking therefore we parked in the back with no security, then we had to walk around the hotel at night, extremely tired, took an elevator from the garage to one floor walk up stairs to catch another elevator. The rooms were terrible too.. The price was outrageous.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything else was bad! Rooms were not ready even by 3 pm, after requesting an early check-in. The first room we got had a stale moldy smell so we had to wait some more time till the next room was ready. Construction going on our floor and it triggered a fire alarm twice; forcing us to walk down ten flights of stairs only to be told it was a false alarm. Least they could have done was make an announcement to that effect. No extra bedding for the sofa bed. Worst stay imaginable. Will never recommend this location EVER and will be a lot more skeptical of the Hilton brand because of this experience.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and bed comfortable. There were 2 rooms 2 bathrooms and 2 TVs. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel was under construction so there was some noise and unpleasant odors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of the staff was wonderful. Wonderful place in a great area. We were late arriving and the desk staff was very considerate.
Cons:
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: Didn't tell us that the hotel was not fully operational. Fitness center was closed. Gave us a free pass to the 24 hour fitness, but they wouldn't accept it, so our whole group had to pay $25 each day to work out. Hotel did NOTHING about it
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was the best thing about this hotel. Willis did a great job checking me in.
Cons: I had no idea this hotel was under construction when Ibooked the hotel. This was my engagement weekend and horrified to find thebahllway was exposed drywall and smelled bad. ac is the room barely cooled the room. Food sat in hallway for 2 days and molded.
7.4 Good
Pros: Restaurant and front desk staff were superb. Roof top area was great.
Cons: Lobby was non existent, bar specials or an afternoon reception would have been nice
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location.
Cons: Was construction going on. Was told it would not start until 11am. Started 2 hours earlier. Staff told us they would stop, but 30 minutes later, it was still going on (when we decided to leave) No free parking for guests. Extra $15 per day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was updated. Mini fridge. Large mirror. Like the shower. Love having a bar on-site.
Cons: I didn't like how the sliding shower door bangs loudly when sliding it open--it slides really well but hits the metal piece on the other end.

Pros: Basic, convenient for Rice University and the Medical Center, staff were friendly and accommodating.

Pros: The shower was one of the best showers I have ever taken. Great water pressure and temperature. It was sorely needed as this place is a dump.
Cons: It was dirty, grimy, had bugs etc....I wouldn't consider this a hotel. It is more like a transient motel. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Had I not paid in advance and known that my stay was going to be less than 8 hours I would have turned around as soon as I entered the parking lot. The room smelled, had holes in the walls and didn't appear to have been painted or updated since the 70s. I promise that the only good, scratch that, great thing was the shower!! This is a 1 star hotel that should be selling rooms for $30/night.
