Holidaymakers visiting in the high summer months of July and August can look forward to experiencing 12 hours of sunshine per day and temperature highs in the 30s. Most flights into Crete arrive and depart via Heraklion Airport. Flights to and from the UK are plentiful, and take around four hours. Transfers to and from the resort normally take somewhere between 2-2½ hours. Crete is on Eastern European Time (GMT+2) so British holidaymakers need to remember to change their watches by two hours upon landing.
