We were woken up at 2:00 in the morning by an intermittent drilling sound or electrical static coming from the combination cock/phone apparatus. I had to get out of bed, battle a tangle of electrical cords and, finally, climb under the bed to unplug the thing. At 2 in the morning. Getting back to sleep was a challenge after all of that. All management had to offer the next morning was, "So sorry." I'd avoid the place like the plague, not only because of the facilities issue, but, also, the indifference of management.
we found the staff very welcoming and helpfull . we have no complaints about this hotel whatsoever and look forward to stopping there again .
The staff were very efficient and pleasant both when we arrived and for breakfast the next morning - we enjoyed our stay although very short!
location, lovely building, view from our window
Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and keen to make you feel welcome. Felt like home from home. Liked being able to see in to the kitchen at breakfast, log fire, excellent breakfast, beautiful room, central location.
It was comfortable, well equipped and friendly. Also nice and quiet. It has lots of stairs which may not suit everyone, but I liked the exercise and the fabulous view from the top.
Close to city centre Rooms were very small for price. The smallest rooms I've ever stayed in and not worth the price of the room. Parking was an issue.
The location is very convenient for visiting the historic sites of Bath, and the parking is very easy Our room was on the top floor. As there is no lift the climb up the stairs could be challenging to anyone with mobility problems
Staf very friendly, great location for city centre and room quiet and comfortable.
We stayed in the Princess Suite and it was beautifully decorated, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were fantastic, helpful, polite and sincere. The parking permit made things a lot easier and was value at £8 a day.To top it off, the bathroom had heated flooring! A brilliant hotel located in the centre of Bath - shops & eateries are 30seconds away.
top class, all the staff were so helpful and friendly, great breakfast
King room was spacious and well equipped. Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Off-road parking and near to city centre.
The comfort of the room, there were lots of homely touches. The breakfasts were delicious, I particularly liked the fresh fruit. Iris and John were very helpful and friendly. There was nothing that I disliked.
Lovely and welcoming. great breakfast
Friendly, helpful, breakfast superb, with plenty of choice. The room was cramped., chairs were uncomfortable to sit in. Would ask for another room.
Excellent hospitality, very friendly owners, clean and tidy, beautiful Gardens, nice shower, good breakfast and much more Nothing
Easy access. Great room size and lovely king sizebed and breakfast was great, plenty of choice hot and cold
A warm welcoming guest house, clean and tidy, close to town.
Room was superb but the real selling point was an outstanding shower which matched the waterfall shower at Bath Spa!! Tv had poor reception - but the view from the room made up for the lack of tv reception!
The room and facilities were excellent. No bad points
Walking distance to city centre No bad points at all
Friendly staff and located in the city centre. £70/night for a shared facilities (altough I was clearly said in the web), small room and worst of all... the view from the window was towards a wall that was... 40cm from the window! I felt like a prisoner in jail.
When booking online, thank you for phoning to confirm the booking and schedule time of arrival. The staff were friendly and clear about the procedures upon arrival, and welcoming at breakfast time. I came to stay 1 night, before attending a wedding on the next day. The Bedside Browser book was excellent in content, and together with leisure brochures, I used my time to walk around South East Bath. I explored the Abbey, the shops in a few streets, the glass blowing shop, gardens and the river Avon. The room was in good condition for the evening spent watching bbc Comic Relief. Tea-making facilities and bar downstairs were excellent. The bed was comfortable for sleeping. Nice view from the window, onto the gardens. Because I was going to a wedding, I was surprised not to find ironing facilities. If available by asking, please state this in the Bedroom browser. The wardrobe smell was well polished, but thankfully this did not affect my clothes. Also the shower has a temperature control, but I could not find the tap switch for turning on the water. I may have simply missed it & could have appreciated instructions either in the Bedroom Browser or the room.
Location near attractions and green space, tasty breakfast In a nice room, pleasant staff, beautiful and clean room. Loud drinkers on the street below windows makes in hard to sleep with windows open, but lack of air conditioning makes it impossible to close the windows. Wi-fi has limited functionality. No parking on site or nearby. Expensive.
There was a lot of noise from the nightclub downstairs. The noise didn't stop until around 3am. It is completely unacceptable to charge these rates when there is that level of noise.
Hotel is in a good location to all the sites. For the money I expected a much nicer room, it was a three star hotel with a four star price. The continental breakfast was very basic also. Overall I was very let down, I expected nicer.
The people the location the size of the room the breakfast was good location location clean, staff was great very helpful stay there again in a heartbeat Had to leave!
Excellent location, good breakfast, friendly staff
Perfect location, lovely building pleasant staff and adequate breakfast The noise between 12midnight and 3 am from the club downstairs was intolerable. We were on the 2nd floor and could still clearly hear every conversation which was such a pity as otherwise the hotel would have been perfect.
Clean fresh, unpretentious and good value for money Top of bed under eaves meant I could not comfortably sit up in bed to read.
Excellent location, helpful staff, bar next door. I found mould in the kettle in my room, poor lighting in bathroom, fixed shower.
the staff were excellent , friendly and helpfull gotta say the room didn't quiet live up to the web site , bathroom and decor etc
near every thing room lovely an warm no lift
lovely room very central and great to have breakfast in bed
Beautifully clean room and breakfast served in your room is especially lovely. Good location to attractions. Everything walking distance
Excellent b&b clean, breakfast in bedroom was very good None
Very well presented, luxury Bed & Breakfast.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we got what we needed.
Lovely room and very helpful hosts. Breakfast in the room was good also. Nothing
The room was spacious. The breakfast in the room at the requested time was excellent service provided. We were happy to be able to leave our luggage there as we had arrived very early. It is easy to find. The information sent by email on booking was very thoughtful. Na
Your hosts were the best. Keep them if you can None
The owners of the Bed and Breakfast were phenomenal. Breakfast in the room was outstanding and the rooms were out of a magazine. The Bed and Breakfast was also w/in walking distance to everything in Bath. I'd go here over and over.
The hotel was in easy distance of all the main attractions in Bath, resturants and shops where in easy distance
Quiet location and friendly staff
The room and the general facilities were excellent. The owners were helpful and friendly. Car parking, both on and off site, was very limited. The hotel was about one and a half miles from the city centre, although taxis and buses were plentiful.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, large room and bathroom, off street parking. Tired decoration in bedroom & bathroom. Noisy bed and neighbouring room's bed too. More than just a walk into Bath Centre.
Everything was well thought out- ranging from the decor to the atmosphere. Some really clever touches made our stay personal yet unintruding. Highly recommended!
Quality of accommodation, Victorian building and features but with modern comforts and facilities, good breakfast quality and choice.
Well within walking distance of city centre warm welcome very attentive staff
we liked the very well presented room, with the 4 poster bed, breakfast was cooked to order and was very quick and tasted nice. would stay again as owners were very friendly.
Good service and food and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly A little expensive for a B&B but it was in Bath which is expensive, so not a great issue
Very comfortable, warm and clean. Lovely breakfast with s good choice. On site parking isnt good. Best to park on the road outside.
Staff was Wonderful felt like family. Room/bed very confortable, nice size and cozy and relaxing and quiet. Breakast was wonderful, bus stop across street e-z to get to city centre.. wonderful!
A welcome cup of tea on arrival. Enjoyable breakfast cooked to order including fresh fruit Guests need to be for warned that a charge will be made if you pay by credit card. I was asked to pay with cash or chq. quite a surprise as i had booked online. Who uses chqs these days or carry lots of cash around.
First class break, beautiful accommodation, very friendly host, great position for visit to Bath
Th location was just right, not too far from Bath centre, far enough to be quiet. It was like staying for a weekend with an old friend. Room was luxurious, and it was warm and inviting. Nothing
Personnel attention from staff, location, parking, Noisy plumbing.
Lovely, tucked away position. Friendly staff and a short walk into the Centre of Bath.
A small boutique residence with fantastic period features perfectly set for someone visiting Bath. Very high attention to detail from embossed towels to lighting arrangements. The proprietor is helpful and attentive without being in your face. He went out of his way to ensure you had a good stay and provided a fantastic breakfast. Good value for money. If you are looking for a large corporate hotel with gymn, sauna, late night bar etc, this is not the place for you. If you like to try somewhere with personality and character this place is ideal. I really can't think of anything.
Fantastic location and amazing establishment - close to centre of bath - fantastic rooms and very comfortable bed - the whole experience oozed of history
The furnishings and the garden were of a high standard and extremely interesting. The bedroom was sumptuously furnished but rather small. The host was very friendly and helpful. It has a beautiful dining room.
Lovely property and garden No milk in room for coffee and paying for parking outside.
The unique design of the historic building, the rooms, the choice of furnishings and decoration, the garden, the hotel staff were good humoured, attentive and made a cracking full english breakfast. I didn't look at the reviews - so I can't comment on question below
Fabulous decor a real experience not to be missed. Really made welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast. None
Nice and clean .great breakfast!
Very relaxed home-from-home atmosphere in a wonderful contemporary setting. Hosts were very friendly & eager to make our stay a good one. Breakfast was plentiful & of the highest quality. Location was excellent for avoiding busy city traffic but being a short bus ride away from Bath.
We all loved the cedars and if we have by chance back that way to Bath we would definitely like to stay there again
Best stay I've had all year! The modern contemporary building is fantastic, and excellent location. We stayed for a Spa-weekend and found the location and style fantastic. The owners are lovely and we would definately return again. We loved it!
The beautiful space, lovely friendly owners, great breakfasts, high quality facilities and above all, the relaxed family atmosphere. Basically, we loved everything about it and will definitely be returning there for our future visits to Bath.
Very friendly attitude relaxed atmosphere no petty restrictions open house feeling. Food of the highest quality and plenty of variety also you could choose your individual menu. nothing
visited Bath parking very limited
You get a warm welcome form Ian & Ali Wright, Ali ensures you have a nice cooked breakfast in the mornings before your long day visiting Bath & surrounding areas. Ian always makes time to help you out and do the train/bus station run'S. Can get quite dark when returning to property late at night, poor lighting roadside.
Owners are very nice and friendly, room was perfect, comfortable and clean,as the bed.The breakfast was great, the location is not a problem,as U can get a bus or cab,to go around.Everything was perfect!Would stay again next time for sure!Me and my girlfriend loved staying there!
We occupied Room 1 which had the view of the countryside. The walk into town is approx 40 mins down the hill and buses run very regular .. Town has lots of shops together with culture and history. The Owners made us feel very welcome, and I felt home from home. I pre-booked a special request and considering the hotel is also closed between 11-4 - this request really should have been in place prior to our return to the hotel after 4pm. Apart from that the special request was value for money.
The bed and bedding was comfortable and the breakfast tasty. I was given a very cold welcome upon arrival and generally made to feel like an inconvenience to the owners. I wasn't allowed breakfast before 0800hrs despite the fact I was there on business and had requested an early breakfast, and at breakfast I was told exactly what seat I had to sit in. Very very uncomfortable place to where I felt I couldn't relax or make myself at home.
The hosts were extremely hospitable, we loved the family dog I think this is not a problem with this b&b but with all B&Bs, it rained all the time we were there and there is no place to relax during the day when you can't be out and about.
the room was fantastic and the owner was very welcoming and friendly
Lovely setting, nice room, comfortable bed, great advice (take the bus from the Park & Ride into Bath rather than driving!), good breakfast, pleasant owners Absolutely none
Lovely clean room. Ian and ali were lovely and hospitable. Good brekkie too. None
It was a very friendly, homely environment. The accommodation was in a lovely building with a very nice room. The proprietors were both friendly and breakfast was great.
