Pros: The room was lovely and we received a free upgrade upon arrival. It was a twin room and the beds were big and very comfortable. All of the staff (in the hotel and in the spa) were very helpful and attentive. The spa was lovely and my 1 hour massage was amazing. I could have stayed for a week, relaxing in the thermal pool and having a different treatment each day.

Cons: The only slight issue was the limited access/timings for the Spa facilities, as a resident - it is a shame Spa access is not all-day, every-day, rather than a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the evening.

Pros: The hotel facilities are great. It’s located in a really great location. Hotel Spa is small but has all the essentials - a beautiful indoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and I found the temperatures all very well adjusted. Staff from reception and Concierge are great, but the restaurant and spa..... oh boy, do they have a lot to learn about hospitality. They have a self imposed, self important attitude, they’re arrogant and they don’t really make you feel welcome. I was planning to potentially book a valentines mini break there, but their attitude just really put me off. A shame really, considering the hotel is so beautiful.

Pros: The hotel was stunning, we stayed for our honeymoon & all the extra unexpected touches such as the staff congratulating us made it so special. I’d also like to say the staff in all areas of the hotel were absolutely fantastic, you are made to feel so welcome. Gorgeous rooms, fabulous food - we’ve been lucky enough to eat in some top restaurants but the restaurant at the Royal Crescent Hotel has to be the best yet and the service is delightful. Beautiful spa facilities too. This hotel has absolutely everything. We will most definitely be back again and thank you so much

Pros: Extra large comfy bed. Wonderfully deep bath, spa was lovely and not very busy. Huge bathroom mirror with fabulous lighting to apply makeup.
Cons: The room we had (briar) had no mirror next to a plug socket, so you couldn’t see yourself to dry and style your hair. I assume the room was above the kitchen? As we heard a fair amount of clanging from bellow and the odd occasional chair and table being moved above our room.

Pros: Great location
Cons: Uncomfortable bed, floor was not level, meaning there was a slope when lying in bed. We understand it is an old building, but there are ways to level the bed. Mattress too soft
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is excellent , food was very good at Breakfast and dinner. Large very comfortable beds. On site parking facilities. Spa treatment was excellent and a good quality facility
Cons: The room(42) we stayed in was style over substance. Very stylish but poor layout with no clothes storage at all and an open plan bath shower Wc area directly onto the bedroom( no partition and no privacy ) The bedroom had a television that was far too large and a sofa at the end of the bed far to close to the television . Shaving mirror over basin was unusable as it was a convex design distorting your image. Housekeeping was poor on the bed make up, it still looked as if it had been slept in. The hotel is a townhouse and the bar is located at ground floor The dining area is located on the lower ground with some elements of the spa. The primary spa area is located on basement level Female WC is at Ground floor . All other WCS at Lower Ground All very confusing and nothing at the same level . A lift is provided however. Pros: Where to start. The staff were stand out amazing. Ogun and Angela were so lovely and helpful, the best hotel service I’ve ever had. The hotel itself is truly beautiful. So much attention to detail, the styles and decorations are wonderfully artistic and whimsical. The furnishings and features are beautiful quality. Don’t hesitate, just book this place, you won’t regret it! Book through the hotel themselves though because then parking is free!

Pros: Beautifully located, and a charming little hotel, with plenty of pleasant touches. Our room had big windows and comfortable bed, while friendly and welcoming staff made it a very pleasant experience. Wonderful to have parking in the centre of Bath!
Cons: The room was extremely small--so small that it was difficult for us to get around the bed once we put our suitcases down on the floor--with a tiny ensuite which gave no privacy. The door of the ensuite couldn't open fully as it hit the edge of the shower, so it wasn't really practical for us both to use it at the same time. That took away from the sense of luxury we were seeking, and to be fair wasn't what we had experienced last time we visited! I would class it as a single rather than double occupancy room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Room facilities. Lounge/reception
Cons: Disappointing breakfast for the category of hotel. Breakfast service on the second morning was not up to scratch, even though there were only about 3 other couples having breakfast at the same time.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location, coffee machine in room and complimentary sweets.
Cons: The room was too hot with no option to turn the bathroom radiator off. It was quite small with no wardrobe for clothes or somewhere to put cases. The staff were quite inexperienced and never asked us how our stay was. The pillows were extremely soft with no option for an alternative so not much sleep. The extractor fan was that dusty large bits kept falling out of it. We were charged for parking despite the complete lack of it with vans blocking the entrance for the major work going on that nobody seemed to mention or apologise for. Very bright light from the hallway had to be blocked with cushions so the room was dark.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique place - not a chain. Staff was very nice. Ogun especially helped us with numerous requests and offered great suggestions.
Cons: There aren’t any restaurants really close but the city center is only a 10 minute walk.

Pros:
Cons: We were travelling around UK by car during September and stayed in total in 26 different hotels. This one was the worst. The room was extremely small, the bathroom was awfully tiny. The receptionists were quite unfriendly. And a funny thing was that they did not let us leave the car for a couple of hours at the parking while we wanted to walk a bit around the city. The worst place we´ve seen!!!!
5.6 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent, easy parking on site, I would use the Hotel again, evening late bar also good. Breakfast & room very nice.
Cons: Room size was very small, I understand we booked a small double but you could not walk around the bed. We would use the Hotel again but book a larger room.

Pros: The room was well appointed and clean, as was the bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was OK.
Cons: Half the television channels didn't work. The windows in the room were so designed that they couldn't be fully closed, therefore the traffic noise from the busy square outside could not be shut out. Most of all, when booking fill in the booking form carefully. When you have done so, check it carefully and once you have checked it, check it again. The slightest mistake on the form and they will politely and totally inflexibly extract the last penny out of you resulting from the mistake; moreover they won't point out the mistake until you are checking out even though it's obvious when you arrive. Left a sour taste in the mouth.

Pros: The building and setting
Cons: Completely understaffed. Awful service from start to finish. Had to wait for check in, room service, queue for breakfast, wait for breakfast, queue for check out. The stay was just really bad and considering we had paid £260 for ONE NIGHT we were expecting a much better experience.
Very disappointed

Pros: Comfortable stay with the added extra of Christmas decorations. Lovely food.
Cons: Extra payment required for parking.

Pros: Very nice breakfast and very attentive staff. Couldn't fault it really.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Great place to escape to for a few nights. Good choice of breakfast. Very good location within walking distance to city centre. Spa facilities good- outdoor thermal pool! The staff porters were very friendly.
Cons: Our room was in an older part of the hotel, it was a bit of a rabbit warren to get in and out of. The room was a good size, very spacious, warm and clean, but could have done with a bit of a make over as the bed and bathroom were a bit dated.
6.0 Good
Pros: Perfect location and beautiful garden. Helpful and friendly staff and easy to get access to the city centre. Peaceful tearoom and great coffee as well.
Cons: Unfortunately, when I checked out they charged me for room services which is weird for five stars hotel asked for that. Further, they charged me also for the coffee during breakfast which means hot drinks not included in the free breakfast which they offered me that when I booked the room.

Pros: Location
Cons: Where do I start ....our shower only produced cold water , there was a terrible damp smell in the corridor outside our room which came into our room , we were moved to a different but very tired and tattyroom but the climate cooling system kept the room so hot , we were unable to open the window as it was jammed , reception told us it was an air cooling system not air con when we complained next morning after we had a very uncomfortable hot sleepless, airless night . In the afternoon when we returned nothing had been sorted , maintenance were called again the chap who came explained that it was just a heating system not air con so it would not cool the room down .He struggled to get the window open which he managed with a great deal of effort , we had a more comfortable night . I would not stay at that hotel again . We booked two rooms as went with some friends , they had a huge room more like a suite , surely the rooms should have been the same !
7.0 Good
Pros: The view from my window overlooking Bath Abbey. The bed was really comfortable, nice clean bathrobe. All the staff were very friendly. That there was car parking on site. Good choice at breakfast. I didnt go in the spa so cant comment on that.
Cons: The car park was poorly lit at night. The bathroom could have been cleaner and felt like it needed refurbishing (cracked fittings on the bath). Threadbare carpets in the lifts and tired looking carpets in the hall ways and bedrooms. Burnt toast, even after asking for toast that wasnt burnt it came again burnt. Staff not fully trained on the front desk, they didnt know which floor my room was on with out having to ask someone else and exactly where the toilets were, also on checking out of the hotel the person I first asked had never checked any one out before (why put someone on the reception desk at checkout time when they dont know how to check someone out?) and I had to wait for the other person to come off the phone, luckily it wasnt busy at the time. The same limited choice evening menu on both nights I stayed, some variety would have been better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa was fantastic, the concierge was very attentive. Staff very helpful.
Cons: One of the steam rooms was far too hot. Drinks were very expensive.

Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and had a wonderful view. Breakfast was all you expect for a continental meal.
Cons: The noise from the bar! People shouting and screaming and music blaring until gone 1am
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience of our visit.
Cons: The confusion over the booking on arrival was quite upsetting - we were told there was no one of the name of Wright booked in, so after a much heated discussion, we left the premises....I returned a few minutes later to ask if for some reason, my sisters name, who was my guest was on the booking form and were told they had a room in the name of Wormald. How this came about I have no idea but in the end it didn’t detract from our having a lovely stay. The hotel was certainly value for money.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff very helpful
Cons: Our room was extremely small with no where other than the bed to sit on. The en-suite was tiny, our shower cubicle at home was the same size, with no room to use comfortably. We were also at the front of the hotel and it was very noisy as there were several bus stop outside and late night revellers waiting for buses. On the good side we were provided with earplugs!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast staff excellent. Limited range buffet breakfast but the boiled eggs were great. Lots of nice, hot coffee on demand. Location excellent.
Cons: Arrived at 14:45 but wasn't allowed to check in. Had to drop my bags at reception and return later. Shared bathroom clean but basic, down a half flight of stairs to get there though, not ideal walking up stairs with just a towel around your waist. No room in bathroom (shower, wc and vanity) for hanging clothes. Rooms ok but a little worn. Fairly clean but flaking paint on window frame let that aspect down.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Room was well equipped and spacious for a single, just neede some TLC
Cons: Room I was allocated really needed a little refurbushing, even a coat of paint would have made it look better
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly. Location was fine
Cons: The room was cramped, no lift and up three flights of stairs with a arthritic knee. Bathroom very dated
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Location near attractions and green space, tasty breakfast In a nice room, pleasant staff, beautiful and clean room.
Cons: Loud drinkers on the street below windows makes in hard to sleep with windows open, but lack of air conditioning makes it impossible to close the windows. Wi-fi has limited functionality. No parking on site or nearby. Expensive.

Pros: Central location and ability to park under hotel.
After, initial Reception problems, there were no complaints about the hotel.
Cons: Cost of said parking - although discounted by hotel. Phoning the evening before our visit we were told by Reception that the Red Letter "Chocolate Experience" was definitely not at the hotel, although this was the venue given to us. I rang the next morning, as we had a 4 hour journey to get to Bath and Reception said they would check and phone us back. An hour later I rang again to be told - "Oh, yes at 11 a.m." I then said "No, 2 pm" the reply was "Oh , I guess so".
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Not told by you or hotel about renovations. Chose hotel so we could use bar with friends but bar not up and running properly because of renovations. Woken at 7am by workmen outside our door. No sleep because bed was like sleeping on a concrete brick. Found a used sanitary towel under our bed. Met another guest in the lift who paid half the price we did.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location is close to the historic town center.
Cons: The room was not well maintained, housekeeping is lackluster and wasn't done properly, property is run down and not well maintained. Two star hotel.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location and beeakfast
Cons: No mention that works were going on before we arrived and our room was right at the end where it was happening . Was told it would not start till after 10am but workers starting at 7.30 was not appreciated. Looks a bit dated compared to other hilton hotels we've visited .
7.5 Good
Pros: The reception staff were great and helpful and it is a great location for Bath’s attractions
Cons: Room had cobwebs on the windows, and dust in the bathroom unit, both lights on bedside did not work tv channels missing and picture did not fit the screen on any screen format, breakfast order sheet left on floor as damaged and should have been replaced and whole hotel had an air of desolation. Look forward to returning when finished and some idea of what this will look like other than the bar area would have been useful.
7.9 Good
Pros: It’s location and the staff were delightful
Cons: Very tired. It is undergoing a total refurbishment so will probably go back, but nothing like Hilton standard at the moment. Very 60’s looking from the outside too so hope they plan to have new windows! Breakfasts are better at The Premier Inn.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Staff were efficient and helpful. Room was clean tidy.
Cons: For a small room, ugly building, tired window and no breakfast the price seems unjustified
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good & staff helpfull
Cons: Very expensive & we didnt bother with Breakfash , tiny room. Working happening & athough they didnt start until 8 ish in the morning, it just looks like a building site. The whole Hotel need to be updated , for a Hilton I expected more
