Excellent service, convenient to U Bahn (station entrance was 50 ft from the hotel entrance) and it was in the middle of many points of interest.
Location noise of the nightclub every night
Location, service, room
the restaurant :traders Vick not very good food at the room service
Nothing The smell of the carpet in the new renovated floors, you pay 12.50 euros if you use the spa(what 5 star hotel does that??).
Very efficient and superb location. Slow service for lobby guests and poor lunchtime cooking in Mark Brandenburg Restaurant.
Its location, layout of room and bathroom.
Large room with King Beds and large bath with shower and amenities. Located in safe area of town . We walked to most attractions. Subway was in front of hotel - very convenient. Wonderful breakfast feast was included in our pkg. good price! Wi-fi and internet in the Hiltons was outrageously expensive. $10.40 to print check-in for air travel. We walked to Starbucks for free internet.
good location and worthy of its star rating. The renovations were not too difficult to live with but did restrict easy movemnt around the hotel. looks like these will go on for a few months yet
The hotel was very central - an ideal base for touring Berlin. In fact, you could walk to most of the tourist spots from the Hotel. There was a swimming pool and sauna available to guests, however to use the sauna there was an additional charge.
Great hotel, there are no complaints but it would be perfect if they heat the pool
Good location, clean room, value for the fare.
location was very good
Clean, comfortable and excellent location
location was great. room was very comfortable. no free wireless in rooms
convenience of location The toilets for the ground floor are on the first floor
The location, the acces to U-bahn, the service
Location was very good, central, close to sites and very close to U-bahn (underground), which made the city very accessible. Information desk in lobby was very helpful and booked tickets for a show for us, gave map and directions and was very pleasant and helpful-sir, take a bow! Safe in room was very good and no charge. Comfy bed, great shower. Good all round. Didn't eat there, so cannot comment on food. Staff at initial check-in could have been friendlier, all staff after that were very helpful. We were charged €6 for large bottles of water left in the room. One would think a hotel of this standard could include this as complimentary.
The location was great! Checkpoint Charlie is right around the corner and the Brandenburg gate/Reichstag is easily within walking distance (10-15 minutes). We had a Deluxe room which was on the next to top floor. It had a big walkout patio with a good view of the city (great for our dogs). All of the other standard rooms had a tiny 3'x3' balcony. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and better than I expected. And last but not least.... the breakfast buffet was probably the best I've had in a hotel in Europe while traveling over the past few years. It was wonderful and we were very pleased with our stay. I cannot think of anything bad to say about our stay.
comfortable, relaxed, good service Breakfast very expensive
Silence Everything was just fine
Great location, helpful friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay at the Relexa Hotel Stuttgarter Hof again, no complaints at all
the location of the hotel and quietness the room was very hot but we opened the windows and it was bearable
Very friendly and service minded staff. No problem in staying at this hotel with a little child - high chairs etc., and staff kept smiling, even though leaving a mess after breakfast, thanks ;-) Great food from the hotel restaurant - comfortable with room service.
everything. A good relaxed hotel on a good location with good service
staff were very helpful, had a lovely room, location excellent near everything that we wanted to see.would recommend highly
The spa facilities were lovely.Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. parking is expensive if you can't get in the hotel car park and you will get a parking ticket if you leave your car outside the hotel.
the hotel was good, 10 - 15 mins walk to a shopping mall. nice breakfast as well. We were upgraded to a superior room. :) a bit far from main attractions, but Berlin is very spread out so you will need to take a train to main attractions, cant really walk it
great room, very helpful staff, convenient location no airconditioning we could find, no milk provided in room for making tea
Pro: -This hotel is very close to the U6 stop which makes it easy to get to from TXL - It is like a block away from Checkpoint Charlie, several blocks from Topography of Terror. -There are several shops just across the street that have local artist/made souvenirs. -It is convienient to many places. I walked everywhere from this hotel. -The room is fairly large for an European hotel and is updated and very clean -nice walk in shower - the room included a double bed -i didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked nice. - Free apples everyday - The staff was incredibly friendly. I was give a map and points of interest were marked for me at check in - free WiFi - there was a towel heater in the bathroom Cons: - The area is under lots of construction. My room was on the 1st floor and there are new residences next door. As of April 2017 the construction has just completed the foundation so it will likely be going on for a while. I was only staying for 2 days, otherwise I would have asked for a room on the other side, away from construction. The construction started a 730. -there were no wash cloths - there was no conditioner or lotion - The breakfast was €17. There were tons of coffee houses and cafes nearby so it wasn't an issue.
We appreciated the location of the hotel near the centre of the city, within walking distance of many major attractions. We had an upgraded room which we especially appreciated. Not sure what the regular rooms would have been like....
Excellent location, clean, good value for money. Small room
Central location (next to Checkpoint Charlie) in the Mitte. Friendly staff who were never too busy to make you a cup of coffee at the bar.
It was very clean. Beds were comfortable, big bathroom. Good localization. We were missing small stuff like shampoo, body milk, or small toothpaste. This would be very useful, escpecialy for people who travel a lot, and stay in many places for a short time
The service was excellent and the hotel staff were always polite and very helpful.
This hotel was very cheap for a 4 star - but not cheap enough for the poor design of the room. Close to Check Point Charlie and the U Barn and had a supermarket and japanese restaurant around the corner. The rooms were very modern given it is a relatively new hotel. Staff were friendly. Automatic blinds as the room looked straight onto the incoming traffic on the main street. This hotel is hazardous to stay in! Tiny is an understatment. The room was so poorly designed that I left after two nights with numerous bruises. I know I paid for a standard room but I expected to be able to turn around in the shower without bruising myself and get in and out of bed without bruising myself and having to jump over things. Did I mention I am only 5ft 1 and 42kgs? There are separate doonas and the beds are small. The bed is surrounded by wooden edges which you are most like to bruise yourself on. There was also a hole in my sheets which made the flimsy foam mattress and cheap lumpy pillows even worse! Did I mention that the closet was smaller than a mini bar? Good luck fitting even 1 winter parka in there!
Very central, next to Gendarmenmarkt and at a walking distance of Unter den Linden. A design hotel, very clean and big. A perfect value for money. Moreover, the breakfast is big and has high quality Breakfast a little too expensive (12 euros). If you do not usually eat a lot in the morning, you have a cheaper cafeterias next to the hotel in Friedrichstrasse
Location was very good. It would have been nice to use lobbys internet without cost.
The room was a good size with a bath & shower and a view overlooking Berlin streets , Location was very good for sightseeing, The staff were very helpful with information on where to eat , drink etc. and even booked resturants for us . We as a couple cannot fault the hotel in any way
Very accessible The shower is a little too open and visible in twin rooms. This is a bit odd if you are not sharing with a partner.
Family Suite was excellent size and Hotel was very central Did not like the fact that the hotel had no restaurant for evening meals.
Comfortably large room for 3 persons. Good location at a historic site. Good front desk staff who guided us in chalking out our city trips. Good breakfast spread. One of the best Mercure hotels I have stayed in.
Cozy, quiet and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Very relaxing stay. Room was a little overheated. Breakfast was good but a little expensive.
Great location, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. The breakfasts were relatively expensive but offered a wide selection of food - enough to last a morning of sightseeing!
Near downtown. Good communications (underground, etc). Free internet access and a free PC. I was very lucky because I booked a normal room and they gave me a suite
The convenience to the city centre & stations. The overall comfort.
ggod value for money. quality rooms and very helpfuş staff. food variety at breakfast was excellent
paid for an ordinary room but was upgraded to suite on arrival, not requested by me.Room was 11 metres long and normal width. best I have ever had. A luxury suite at 90 euros. Fairly good position next to Checkpoint Charlie. Close to U trains and Friedrickstrasse for me..........perfect........no complaints
The hotel had a family suite comprising of two double rooms which was ideal and very good value
An excellent and attentive staff - even kept the bar open specifically for our group of 8 persons. Nothing was a trouble to them. We all made gift purchases at the hotel... Our rooms were spotlessly clean and although not ready for us when we arrived at 9:30 (we did not expect them to be), the very helpful receptionist took our luggage and gave us tags to collect on our return. When we returned we received an excellent run-down of facilites available in the hotel prior to being given our keys. Couldn't fault the excellent breakfast and our meal (included as part of the Italian Weekend Break) was also excellent - we went off the main menu at very little cost!!! The staff in this restaurant were also very warm and welcoming and helpful. Our upgraded suites were perfect also. Couldn't fault this hotel in any way. Would recommend to anybody and hope to make a return visit. Everything was perfect - may be an idea to have tea/coffee making facilites in the rooms but we didn't miss same!!!
the restaurant and location they did not have a swimming pool
Comfortable room, good bed(s) and well-equipped bathroom At first I was given a room for smokers, while I am a non-smoker and hate the smell of smoke, especially in a room I have to sleep. When I complained, at first I was told they did not have another room as the hotel was fully booked. Then a second employee, overhearing the conversation, said he would check once more and he found a non-smoking room for me.
The hotel was very central and close to all sightseeing attractions, bars and resturants. It was clean visually appealing and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Centraql to everything that we wanted and near an underground station.
Clean room Had to pay 20 euro for parking and no breakfast included. Hallway had a funny smell.
Given a non smoking room that stank of smoke and when I complained was told I should have let them know immediatley and was I sure as it was a non smoking room
clean and quite central with attention to certain details, e.g. besides the light next to bed, there was also special reading light that would not disturb my room-mate who didn't want to read before sleeping. I also liked the fact that three pillows were provided to each bed and that there was a coffee machine in the room I think the breakfast was too pricey. We opted out, but it would be nice if we had had breakfast there too
Despite a terrible male receptionist, the night shift of female receptionists were great. No Wifi at all! No one knew when it would be fixed, nor seemed to work on this issue, either! A male staff was extremely racey and insufficient. I honestly do not know what the hell is wrong with him.
Comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast but very expensive. Unfriendly and inflexible receptionist on our arrival day.
Hotel was in an ecellent location 200 meters from a Ubahn station. We were able to access all major parts of the city very quickly from this location. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and very responsive. We will make this our hotel of choice on future visits to Berlin. Guest should definately include the Buffet Breakfast in their booking or it can become very expensive if you pay the daily price of 21 euro per person per day. By including breakfast in our booking it only cost us 10 euro per person per day and it was well worth every penny.
Location, staff & room quality
the room was nice, comfortable and quiet (no noise from the traffic). Excellent breakfast.
Excellent all round facility. Great location.
Googd breakfast and space in the room Lack of drinking water in the bedrooms free of charge
Breakfast was excellent. The U station only a few step from hoteldoor is a godsend. The guys in the lobby were all very helpful and efficient Acctually no.
The breakfast, the location and the room
Very good value, good location next to the Kochstrasse U-Bahn station and of course, Checkpoint Charlie. Clean, quiet rooms.
centrally located, but still very quiet, roooms nice and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff bar could be opened earlier than 6 p.m.
Front desk staff very friendly, informative and helpful. Rooms very comfortable although could have used some extra pillows. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms and room service for tea ridiculously over-priced. €8 for two teabags and 2 mugs of hot water. The cafe across the road makes better tea for a lot less. Had book a double and got two single beds pushed together. This is not too bad but the two single duvets were far too small.
Excellent hotel, helpful staff fantastic place to stay.
location near metro station; bright clean comfy room; friendly helpful staff hard to avoid getting water all over the bathroom floor when showering
Old building with a good refurbishment. The location is good too, close to the metro and on the door step of check-point Charlie. Not much to dislike.
Great location close to Check Point Charlie. Friendly staff, well furnished, comfortable and clean rooms. Quiet. No bath
excellent friendly service gave brilliant advice on Berlin the city and what too see. the only thing but very, very minor walking to the U-Bahn and various restaurants
Sizes of the apartments and facilities provided, makes it very easy to self-cater and do washing etc
The hotel is very nice. It is well decorated and clean, plus it is in a great part of town. It's not on a busy street, but within walking distance of all of the must see things in town. We were also happy that they had a private parking garage because even though it was pricey (18 euros per day), it was nice knowing that our car was safe. The breakfast spread was fantastic! We all really looked forward to breakfast each day. The only downside was the wifi being hit or miss.
very modern design and nice staff
The comfort of the apartment was excellent, roomy and exceptionally clean and functional. Cost of breakfast. Distance and road/sidewalk from train when traveling with luggage.
All of it! Especially being upgraded from a room to an apartment. No
Excellent location, very helpful and accommodating staff. The station is nearby as is a supermarket if you are self catering. The kitchen could be better equipped and the retaurant did not have enough staff for a busy Friday night.
Number of facilities available. The room assigned had almost no windows and the location was not good. Too far from taxi stands or subway entrances. More for tourits than business travellers.
Very nice, spacious, tastefully decorated rooms. For those really looking for the apartment service, the kitchen is well equipped and stocked. Cleaning staff knocked twice the morning I was leaving to see if they could clean (isn't that what checking out is for?). Expensive internet. At the lower rate following the Berlinale film festival, I would have given higher marks for value for money, but it doubled during the festival.
The hotel was ideally located for our needs. Staff were very friendly and the overall experience was great.
Great location - many attractions within walking distance. Superior 1 bedroom apartment was spacious and very comfortable. Supermarket very close.
It's good hotel for short visit in Berlin, it's new , clean and very good breakfest Small room and lobby, it's no mini bar ,
Very clean accomodation. The housekeeping is excellent. Decent sized rooms. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Pleasant and respectful reception staff who were quite helpfull. The reception staff kindly allowed me to keep the room on for an extra couple of hours when I had to visit a doctor on my check-out day. Reasonable location that is fairly convenient for Anhalter Bahnhof U-Bahn station which was about 5-7 minutes away. Netto and Aldi supermarkets are within 100 metres away. No tea and coffee in rooms. The staff at reception that I spoke to only spoke very basic English. The internet access in the foyer was expensive; unless you brought your own lap top. Bath towels were on the small size. The shower head was loose and would not tighten. The title of the hotel 'NH Berlin Potsdamer Platz' is confusing as the hotel is quite a distance from the Potsdamer Platz square. Pillows were not substantial. The reception staff gave me the name and address of a doctor who was no longer in practice. It would not take much effort to have updated their records. In truth the surrounding area is not the most salubrious. Many people might find the TV/Radio hard to operate. The English plug adaptor 'rented' from reception didn't wo
Excellent breakfast, the room are good size and so are the bathrooms. Close to S-Bahn station, and 15 min walking from the main attractions!!!!
good location, modern and clean hotel, good service, nice staff and great b'fast
it was a clean and good value for money hotel. althought on a rather large avenue it was very quite. professional place to stay. on the last day we had to queu up for breakfast, perhaps they do not have enough tables to accomodate all when the hotel is fully booked?
The really helpful staff and nice breakfast. Everybody of the staff was young and everybody of them was kind and helpful.
Good location, close to public transport, room with everything you need for a short city trip, extensive breakfast, very helpful and pleasant service at arrival and during stay.
I liked that the Hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and the room was so quiet we had a great sleep. We travelled with two children so this was very important.
Good location, polite staff, clean and nice rooms, comfort.
The room was very chic and clean. The breakfast was excellent. It was four or five blocks to a Metro. Mattresses were too firm for my liking. Check in was slow. Staff was very young and still learning...
Beutiful new hotel, friendly staff, great location No air conditioner in the room
Very helpful staff, Very good location, The lights in the window alcoves, there should be a switch to turn them off. or at least information in the room that they were on an automatic timer. The glass screen between reception and the breakfast room. They are too like doors and lots of people tried them. The general lighting in the room was too complicated especially for short stay guests.
Great location ; clean rooms
Clean, modern rooms and smiling friendly staff. Lack of coffee/tea making facilities and nowhere in the hotel where one could just get a cup of coffee.
Modern, clean, excellent location in the centre of Berlin, friendly and helpful staff. The nights were very muggy and there was no aircon, nor could I open the window very wide. Being a brand new establishment the lift broke down a few times during my stay.
very clean, quiet and comfortable; free internet access (and with good speed); execllent buffet breakfast; helpful staff. Very small room with some desing idea's that are not practical, although original. Small deception: "Tapas bar" has a quiet limited choice
The hotel was very clean and spacious, the staff very nice nothing was too much trouble. Would have liked tea making facitlities in the room
Staff attitude/ closeness to Subway/ design/ cleanliness
Clean, friendly, good value for money Not enough staff at the reception during check-out time in de morning. Staff not handling the crouded situation of waiting customers very well.
The breakfast was excellent, and the location is very convenient for most Berlin sights. The decor and feel of the hotel is forgettable. The service is polite but perfunctory.
Rooms were spotlessly clean and a nice touch was the complimentary fruit basket. Easy to reach all main attractions. Everyone we met was very helpful and we had no problems at all. We bought one day travel cards and made full use of them on the Ubahn, Sbahn and bus. There were lots of places around the hotel for breakfast and a lovely restaurant around the corner for dinner.
Well located for points of interest around east berlin Very little night life in the area
Very conveniently situated near checkpoint Charlie, U bahn, jüdisches Museum
Free wifi at lobby. Pillows were a little soft.
clean room and bathroom pc at the lobby was a little too slow
Wifi didn't work at all. The room smelled funny and was much smaller than expected. Staff was polite but not particularly friendly.
Great location Nightly rate more than doubled for our second night there, we did not stay
The greatest quality of the hotel it is the location. Though placed in the middle of the touristic center of Berlin, it is located on a nice residential street, thus being the best place to relax after trying to see all 170 :) museums of this great city.
That's what we wanted for Berlin. All of our expectations were met !!
The location is perfect. Easy access to many sights. Stadmitte U Bahn station at the doorstep. Walking distance to many historic sites and great neighborhoods. Many food options close by. Brauhaus in the complex (not in the hotel). The "hotel" has limited services and it is more of a serviced apartment setup. We discovered the mixed use complex was designed by the renowned Architect - JP Kleihues (notable buildings in the reconstructed Berlin and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago). We rented a Management Suite and it worked out wonderfully for our family of 3. It was a spacious (very spacious by european standards) two room suite with separate WC and bathroom. There is a great amount of built in storage for clothes and luggage. Our unit had a nice balcony accessible from the bedroom and the living room. The unit had a kitchenette with ample dishes, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. But with so many restaurant options, why cook at home?? We arrived in Berlin quite early in the morning and pleaded with the desk to let us have our room early, but no chance. We left our bags and set out to explore in a very jet lag state. Official check-in is 15.00 so don't expect to receive your room anytime before. The staff was kind enough to offer us the lounge to relax and wait for our room. We were briefed on all of the properties services and when we were escorted to our room, our luggage was already there. This property is a very good value and suited our needs perfectly.
Silence Service, price
Our suite was large and very comfortable. The location was perfect for sightseeing and shopping. The staff was courteous, but didn't go out of their way to be helpful. It was only when I expressed frustration about the operating hours for the business center and laundry room, that they became more accomodating.
We enjoyed the fact that the suite was spacious and very clean. The location is perfect for a city/cultural trip. There was nothing that we did not like.
Everything was excellent Nothing
Quality of suite and furniture. And location was great. Staff were very helpful. Free use of the fitness centre
prime location, spacious room, room decoration and style
Superb location, spacious room, nice bed, hardly any noise from the street below. Nothing really - except that the breakfast (which was very good) perhaps was a little expensive at EUR 17. Nice view, though.
delux room, clear, very close to the underground station (just few steps),comfortable bed...staff are helpful and polite... wi fi is not popular and limited (by request for free 1 hr). it should be free of charge as the room rate is not cheap. Even not in-room wifi, but should be free in common area.
The stay was very pleasant, however, I do think that the breakfast was a bit overpriced. Also maybe they should have some flexibility on the check out time, not by much but by an hour or so would be great.
