Cons:At pick-up was told they did mot have my car. Tried to make me tske a csr that was ro small for our luggage to fit. A big hour long hastle. In the end they magically were able to give me the correct size car, which I had purposely reserved months in advance. Dont appreciate being lied yo snd wasting my time.Reviewed 16 Feb 2021

Pros:Cleanliness of vehicle.Cons:At the time of making the reservation budget states that a full size SUV would be a Chevy Tahoe or similar. That’s the kind of vehicle I was expecting (Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada, Toyota Sequoia, Toyota Land Cruiser, GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe) but I was given a Dodge Durango, a midsize crossover with 7 seats. Then at the counter they state that a Durango is pretty much a Tahoe which is a little bit lower to the ground. My family of 6 people had to carry luggage on their legs because of the small trunk with all the seats up. I explained the situation to Cody (manager in charge) he asked me to come back at 11pm that same day because we would receive a Ford Expedition. Once I went there, Cody’s shift ended so the manager in charge was Mark, which he did not have any information provided by Cody related to my particular situation. He asked me to come back at 7am the following morning so they can be plenty of vehicles and more likely they’d have a real full size suv available. So I went to the airport a third time but this time I arrived at 5:30am and I started looking at all the rental that were just returned. The third vehicle in that line was a Toyota Sequoia, so I said to myself. “Just wait until 7 as they requested but there’s a Sequoia there that may be assigned to me” and at 7am I went to the counter, by that time there was a GMC Yukon and a Ford Expedition that arrived later in that time frame and guess what: Mark was already gone, too. There was a lady with curly hair which I wish I remembered her name. She was the manager in charge of the lot at that moment, I explained the situation one more time and she is a little bit rude saying. This process will take at least 1:30hrs. I kindly explain that the sequoia is just the third vehicle in the line, and if she has a customer with special situation why not to help right away and have the detailing team to move 2 cars, so they can work on the sequoia and expedite the process for her and me. And she refused m, in fact, gave me some attitude. So at that point I gave up, felt really frustrated with the customer service and ended up losing 5 hours of my time in total by going 3 times to the airport and doing everything requested by the MANAGERS OF THE PLACE. That means that my family carried luggage through 1,500 miles on top of their legs inside a vehicle due to a lack of communication and/or not caring about the customer.Reviewed 19 Feb 2021

Did not have my car on site.Cons:The 7 passenger SUV car I reserved was not on site, and no one was willing to go to another site to pick one up. There were only 2 employees working the counter, and a line of frustrated travelers had formed behind me. I offered to get a ride from a friend to go to the next nearest site at the airport to pick up the car I reserved. I was told there would be a significant upcharge from the airport site for taxes and additional fees. I was offered a larger vehicle - a 12 passenger van - which was dirty inside and out. As my group was waiting to leave, I felt pressured by the employee to take it instead of the car we thought we were getting. Same price. Oh, but it would be a $500 deposit! They quickly vacuumed it, but did not wash it. The windshield was covered in bugs and dirt. The wiper fluid was low, the road noise was horrible, the seats were uncomfortable, the gas tank was not full (which unfortunately we did not discover until I was on the freeway unable to turn around, and of course the vehicle inspection form was already marked as tank being full by the guy who vacuumed it.) PLEASE Budget: have the cars which have been “reserved” onsite, washed and vacuumed, ready to go, on time, with a full tank of gas for your customers. That’s what I contracted with you for when I made the reservation in the first place. I showed up on time cash in hand. Now you do your part! I am very disappointed.Reviewed 21 Aug 2018

Bait and switch from BudgetCons:Ordered car at SLC airport, when I arrived, I noticed that the address was for downtown, total was to be 318 $, now at airport I was told it would be 387$, but they did not have jeep Cherokee , was then told that I would have to spend 15 extra dollars per day, total know 526.51$, by the way, this as well happened to the customers before and after me, seems to be standard operating procedure with this budget franchise, they own the one downtown and at the airport, the car I received was a ford explorer, I believe this is the same class of vechile , if not in the past if the car was not available I would receive a free upgrade. Totally ripped off. I contacted Budget headquarters. Other issue is that they never answer their phone, they send you over to 800 number, I asked employee at counter about this and he informed me that they were instructed not to answer calls at the airportReviewed 10 Jan 2016

Cons:We were unable to pick up our car since they said that it would be about an hour to an hour and a half from the moment we made the reservation through Kayak. We made the reservation when we landed as we landed earlier than expected and they were still going to be open, once we got there, the agent told us it would be 1 to 1.5 hours until the car would be available. This was at 12:45 AM with 45 degrees outside. In the end we went to another rental company and made a reservation on the spot.Reviewed 16 Nov 2020

Not SLC Airport!!!Cons:I searched for a rental car using the SLC airport code and found a good rate. However, upon arriving to SLC I find that my rental was booked with the downtown Salt Lake City Budget location instead of the airport location and that the airport location didn't have a car for me. I landed at 730pm and the downtown location closed at 7pm, so there was no way for me to get a car. Very annoying that searching for a rental car at SLC gave me results that were not at the airport. Ultimately used Enterprise because they had better rates for walk-ins that evening.Reviewed 18 Jul 2016

ScammersPros:No transportation from airport, had to Uber there. They asked me where I came from when I got there(which is none of their business), and because I said "I flew in" they charged me an addition $100 for airport tax even though their location is NOT at the airport. My suggestion is if anyone goes here do NOT tell them where you came from, it's not their business. I was with my parents and luckily I cancelled my reservation and my mom rebooked it in her name and said she DIDNT come from the airport. Such a pain. Will never go here again.Reviewed 16 Jan 2017

Not a good expirencePros:The vehicle that I rented was great nothing wrong with the vehicle at all seem to be almost brand-new and worked out greatCons:I got in late on my two flights that got delayed and was there after 11:59 PM and my reservation was for 9 PM and I was told that my reservation was not available anymore I waited in line for over an hour finally got to the counter I was started to give a key in and that he was taken away from me and told me that the other people that I have made reservations for after 11:59 PM would be in front of me and if then they had a car I would be given a car I waited at the counter for another 30 minutes after I waited in line for an hour the representatives had terrible customer service and did not seem to want to help me get in and out I had members of a band waiting at the airport trying to get everyone to the hotel since we had already been delayed on two flights they had no consideration for us.Reviewed 27 Jun 2016
