Pros: Hotel staff: great team, very warm welcome. We were given the best room of the hotel (corner room with big balcony) even if we asked and payed for a standard one. We especially loved going to the garden room restaurant to have a beer in the late afternoon to cool off and rest a bit (they also brought a bowl of peanuts, a bowl of potato chips, and once, a bowl of mixed snacks to go with).

A loaner laptop was provided free to the room which was ideal. Elevator was a classic but efficient. The staff was professional and most helpful in answering and arranging our sightseeing requirements. The staff was delightful and was a major reason in our decision to extend our stay for an additional three nights.

Pros: The other hotels were so good and after a wonderful stay at Hotel Athenium in Florence we were thoroughly disappointed. The rooms were not cleaned till evening and one day it was not cleaned at all.
