9.0 Excellent
Pros: Well appointed. Gracious, professional, efficient staff
Cons: Room a bit noisy, street noise audible, as was the maid's HQ across the hall. Otherwise very clean, comfortable, very nice. The destination charge is bogus, and the parking too expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Standing in the cold at 22:00 at night after a four hour flight because access to hotel closed due to filming: no prior warning given. This happened again on our return to the hotel for second visit. No doubt hotel made money out of this but no benefit to customers
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was just such good value for money felt like a very posh and expensive place we loved it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Missing a refrigerator
10.0 Excellent

Cons: I had no issues during this stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the room was clean and the service was noce
Cons: it is not in union square; consider the palace for this price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quality room, quiet, great location
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, Front desk and Bellman staff were very courteous and helpful.
Cons: Cleaning staff were too loud in the hallway and adjacent rooms .. laughing and speaking louder than necessary to perform cleaning tasks... as compared to other similar star rated hotels. My room was on the 17th flr.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful marble decor in the lobby. A friendly staff. Compared to many SF hotels, the room and bathroom were spacious and the bed very comfortable
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Some parts of the rooms especially are a little older, feels like the hotel could use a little modernization in its facilities and amenities.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Everything was great.
Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco - San Francisco - Building
2
9.2 Excellent (1,479 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, you'll be centrally located in San Francisco, within a 5-minute walk of Westfield San Francisco Centre and Powell and Market Cable Car Turnaround. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in San Francisco? This hotel has facilities measuring 15000 square feet (1394 square meters), including a conference center.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The valet location is different than the street address causing much time wasted trying to find where to enter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is perfect. The cable car is easily accessible and a short walk (10/15 mins) to the Ferry Building, where they have the farmers market, and you can catch a ferry to Sausalito. The hotel room was spacious with excellent furnishings and decor, and always nice to have a Nespresso machine too. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. The gym, which guests of the Hotel get to use was excellent too, this is accessible via the 4th Floor.
Cons: The shower wasnt great, i think the head was too small so wasnt a huge stream of water. I think the bathroom had been redecorated and they hadnt changed the tiles or shower. It was a lovely bathroom though and spotless.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great experience all around
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, great service. The access to Equinox is fabulous! Prime, prime location--the best!!
Cons: In-room dining is awful. I had breakfast twice, and was severely disappointed at the outrageous price for the poor, poor quality of every aspect of the food--coffee is burnt and thick like mud, toast burnt, side vegetables unbelievably expensive with NO quality. The fresh orange juice is good. And that's it. Otherwise, the hotel is just wonderful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms. Polite staff. Nice bathrooms. Everything worked without an issue.
Cons: At Reservation, called the 800 number. I was told they only had two suites available. No rooms. Two minutes later, I went on Kayak and booked two rooms with no issue. Service was in no way exceptional. It was a little irritating that bell desk couldn't get cab. Food/bar is terrible Surcharge for internet access is ludicrous
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although in the middle of the busy SF streets it was indeed quiet inside our room. Outside our window was the busy Market St. thoroughfare

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place. So relaxing - lots of fun activities included like yoga, and hikes, welcome wine reception. Contemporary rooms are lovely , I can't speak for the historic. I will definitely be back and hope to stay a little longer
Cons: There is one restaurant on the site, I would say that the restaurant staff should be a little better educated about the hotel's offerings. I was looking for the "tea bar" assuming it was located near the restaurant and bar, and those in the restaurant had no idea what I was talking about! Well the tea bar is actually located in the spa as I discovered the next day
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Awesome views of Golden Gate bridge and San francisco city (we got seriously lucky with the weather - there was no fog). The hike on Marin Headlands offers beautiful vistas. The resort has good restaurants & very good service. The open field provides a good area for kids to play.
Cons: The field was uneven
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and the rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The historic tour was the highlight for us. All the amenities were wonderful.
Cons: Spa treatments were expensive
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, nicely styled.
Cons: The room was too hot and the only way to cool it down was to open a window and also let in the outside noise. At $500 a night all in, not being able to cool a room down is a pretty poor feature

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceptional. ALL of them.
Cons: Not much. The spa was priced really high so we ended up making other accommodations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, but the real star here is the amazing staff. My sister and I bring our granddaughters every year and are never disappointed. Even when the young kids are “being kids” they are treated very well as are the Grandmas.
Cons: If there is a downfall, it would be the cost. Obviously though, it is not a deterrent and we will continue to stay at this property when it works out for our SF stays.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are super nice and the staff is amazing
10.0 Excellent
Cons: They need to add a salon that has someone there to do hair blow outs for customers staying at the Ritz.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, breathtaking views, luxurious room and bathroom with lots of space. We couldn’t have had a nicer time! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and hotel are beautiful. We had a beautiful view of the city and Yerba Buena Gardens. The service is impeccable. Very comfortable bed and quiet rooms.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very nice, great tub in the room, comfortable bed, very clean and comfortable
Cons: We happened to be staying at the hotel at the same time as a professional basketball team. We felt a bit like second-class citizens, there were fans outside the hotel, it was a bit overwhelming. Our room check-in was delayed 1-1/2 hours and that messed up our dinner plans for the evening. We also had some trouble with housekeeping and communicating with them. We were only staying for three nights and didn't feel the need to have our bed made, our towels changed, etc., but evidently that caused a problem with housekeeping. Long story short, it's a beautiful hotel in a great location in San Francisco but for the money we spent we felt a bit cheated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From check in to check out everything was smooth and fast. Always love a Starwood property. Also, the hotel wasn’t full so an upgrade was in order. Nice quiet room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Check was in smooth - but please verify with the staff that "breakfast is included" if you purchased the breakfast option; sometimes it does not register with the check in desk Gym is nice, rooms are great! Very clean, chic and calm! Very close to street car and good public transport
Cons: Breakfast issue at front desk - covered or not covered. Other than that - amazing!
9.7 Excellent
Cons: Free parking should be available
8.5 Excellent
Cons: In room coffee inoperable
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I arrived and was sent to the hyatt as they didn’t have a room for me
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, it was a last minute booking as we attended an event on the roof. Room spacious, clean, updated (i do wish we would have been higher up for a better view).
Cons: Given what i paid, i would have liked it to have breakfast included, but they have quite a good buffet style breakfast at a reasonable price available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and pretty new. Loved the walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Didn’t like that we couldn’t go on the rooftop due to an event. Didn’t like that there was no microwave in the room, there was only one coffee cup and not nearly enough coffee and only one bathrobe. It seemed the room was made for only one person but you knew there were two of us.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel staff and hotel its self were great.
Cons: Its mainly about the charges that were on my account. I was charged 3 separate times for my 1 night stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Came in a short time. Bed was awesome. Slept great.
Cons: Room was a bit warm. Couldn’t get the temperature regulated.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: My room was lovely - quality furnishings, sufficient space, nice view.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff! Loved staying here. Perfect location for SF.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is very quiet with great closet design and Alleluia to lamps I can manually turn on and off and not have to find an obscure light switch controlling too much . Wonderful pillows . A plus staff . First hotel that remembers to replace the laundry slip after the first use ! Memorable restaurant -
Cons: I have no dislike comments . This Hotel does not disappoint at all . Great staff and very quick responses . Obviously good management . This is the first time I have tried a Taj and will look for others based on this experience
8.0 Excellent
Cons: No bells and whistles. This was much more like your standard, mid-grade Marriott than a 4-star experience. No fluffy robes, slippers, turn-down service, etc.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Issues connecting to hotel WiFi—should not be so complicated!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is wonderfully clean and comfortable. Everyone is genuinely kind and helpful.
5.0 Okay
Cons: There was nearly $35 in hotel fees that I wasnt aware of when I booked the room. It came as a surprise when I checked out the next morning. Apparently it was for coffee and pastry in the lobby and WiFi. I didnt want either. Waste of money.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pros: Location Staff is wonderful Rooms are large and comfortable for San Francisco
Cons: Cons: The Bistro is awful, did not try the restaurant Weird position for shower activation, have to actually be in the shower to turn it on........BRRR. The closet is about 12" wide, so this is not the place to stay for a long time
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great!
Cons: Understand being charged for internet and coffee/muffins, but if breakfast runs until 9:30 then there should be coffee and muffins available at 9:15. I let the front desk know and waited 15 minutes to no avail.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: The rooms are outdated and its not a 5 star hotel. Its a 4 star hotel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was fantastic! The rooms had plenty of space, the staff was attentive, we will definitely return!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view was great. The service and the facility were also wonderful. totally worth the money.
Cons: Location. It is located up on the very steep hill which you may not notice when you use Google maps. For travelers who solely rely on public transportation should be prepared to climb the hill or plan ahead for ground transportation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge for SF hotel standards. Beautiful view toward the Bay. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet - never heard a neighbor even though our room was right next to the elevator. The spa was also very nice. I most recently stayed at the Fairmont, which is also very nice, but I actually preferred the Huntington and it was quite a bit less money.
Cons: Wasn't nuts about the restaurant - The Big Four. Very dark. Not a very friendly vibe. (In fairness, we just stopped at the. Ar as we were getting ready to leave). My wife and I ordered Sunday morning mimosas. $32. Just a bit of a downer given that the rest of the experience was so positive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is nothing if not attentive. Very professional, courteous, helpful. The room was very nicely appointed. We were upgraded to a very large room which was more like a suite, making our week stay very enjoyable. The bed was extremely comfortable! I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: We both felt that the $15/day charge for internet was excessive and off-putting. Unfortunately, the service we were getting with verizon was almost unusable, but we weren't willing to pay that kind of fee for wifi, which is free just about everywhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: VERY friendly and attentive Bellmen. Delightful Staff
5.0 Okay
Cons: Hotel advertised pool and jacuzzi but you cannot use on weekends unless you book a spa treatment. Lady who works at front desk couldn't give a st. Spent a lot of money and could not use facilities. They should post online that not available on we

Pros: The rooms are large and beautiful appointed. We had an incredible view of the city from on top of Nob Hill. Also love the bar in this hotel-- wonderful piano music and atmosphere.
Cons: We wish we could have gotten in for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, but it was booked-- very popular spot with a good chef. We have enjoyed eating here in the past very much.

Cons: Spa treatments were expensive
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, nicely styled.
Cons: The room was too hot and the only way to cool it down was to open a window and also let in the outside noise. At $500 a night all in, not being able to cool a room down is a pretty poor feature

4.0 Okay
Pros: Good location and nice appearance
Cons: Very disputed to book this room at $--- a night, and then have them surprise me at checkout with an additional $25 hotel fee. Very cheesy thing to do; nickel and dime, cheesy thing to do.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and modern. The air conditioner worked well. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. There were robes.
Cons: We were told we would have a 'courtyard' view, but our window looked out to a wall and drainage pipe. The bed and all pillows were rock hard and the bed squeaked. I had a backache the next day. The room was dark and stark. No artwork.
