I was flying business class on flight TP059 on March 4 2018 and have Gold status on Star Alliance. Many passengers had declined dessert and I felt extremely embarrassed by having been denied food on a plane for the first time in my life. The attitude and lack of tact of Comissario Bruno on TP059 spoiled the whole flight experience for me."

Cons: "This event refers to my TAP flight from Lisbon to Heathrow on 21-Jan-2018. We arrived to the airport nearly 2 hours before departure time, waited 35min in the security checks and my girlfriend was held 20min in the passport control. While she was queuing for the 2no police officers to check her passport, an airport assistant came to the queue and asked who was due to board in TP364 to Heathrow. She was made aware that my girlfriend was there due to board that flight. In the meantime I made my way to the gate to make the gate assistants aware that she was held in the passport checks and was already on her way to the gate. Having said that, the zealous assistants in the gate have closed the gate in front of me, 18min before scheduled departure time and - "very kindly" - told me that I wouldn't be boarding that flight anymore even though my girlfriend have arrived in the meantime. One can imagine the frustration I felt finding out that the flight departure was delayed and that the flight actually departed 40min late. At that time I was already suffering the extortion of the customer service from TAP, claiming from me circa 400Eur from each of us for a one way ticket in the next flight to London. Therefore... until I remember this... I AM NOT FLYING TAP ANYMORE... I am very proud of being Portuguese but in similar situations that occurred with me flying British Airways, Lufthansa or Air Italia, I have always been treated with much more respect and customer care!"

Cons: "I booked this flight months and months ago on Kayak, excited by what I thought was an excellent deal to go visit an old friend. When I got to the Boston airport, I was told there is a fee to check a bag with the ticket type I purchased- of 90 DOLLARS each way!!! This is absurdly expensive. I tried to pay with cash as I had very little on my card, and was told this isn't possible. So I had to pay the fee, and arrive at my 7 hour layover with next to no cash on my card- too little to buy a meal in the airport. So I had a miserable layover experience. I do not recall seeing this baggage fee listed anywhere on Kayak when I booked my flight- it looks like this policy took effect in September 2017, but I booked my flight in July. I am very upset about this additional charge- it is dishonest and I will not be flying with TAP again. I am also considering using alternatives to Kayak, as the TAP representative said that it's Kayak's fault the baggage fee wasn't listed."

Entertainment need an up date a lot of old movies and a lot of screens were not working and need to be fixed. It was a very bad experience with 5 days delay and no one helped me to fix the situation . even kayak sent old information about my trip."

Cons: "The airline cancelled one leg of our flight and then we had to apply for the money back for remaining legs, as they refused to be flexible on the rest of the trip. Instead of offering any help, it was down to us to call their call centre and ask for them to do something about it. At first they didn’t even understand their own cancellation and in the end they refused to do anything. We had to get lastminute.com to sort it for us, and in the end we got our money back. Only after chasing for a second time though! Definitely would not recommend this airline."

The Dakar airport isnt ready to open yet. Jet bridges aren’t working, they couldn’t find a stair to fit the plane for a while. Luggage is piled all over the terminal. Half the luggage from the plane arrived promptly, the other half took 45 minutes."

Pros: "Great legroom and service. Everything's included (maybe not alcoholic beverages, but I didn't ask). I also noticed the security was very high at Casablanca, with not only luggage scans upon entry, but then another at the gate area. My passport and boarding pass were cross-checked at least five times! However, it was done very efficiently and didn't impede progress."

Cons: "The attitude of the flight staff toward the passengers could be best described as somewhere between prison warden transporting felons and grade school teacher who hates children leading a field trip. To begin with, our flight closed down boarding over an hour before the take off time. When I asked why the flight boarded so early, a flight attendant snapped at me that it was not early. Okay then. Our flight was two hours delayed (so we sat there for three hours) and during that time I asked for a glass of water and was yelled at to sit back down. I attempted to use the bathroom and was yelled at to sit back down. Other passengers became desperately thirsty and antsy, and they were also yelled at by the staff. I was anticipating another full day of traveling after my flight so I attempted to sleep as soon as the lights went off. I was woken up at midnight because the woman, who I assume had never flown on an airplane before, sitting behind me wanted me to lift my seat up while she ate her dinner. Everyone else on the flight was eating with the seat in front of them reclined, but of course I was woken up, yelled at by the staff, and had my seat forcibly returned to the upright position. When breakfast came around, I was deep in sleep, and the flight attendant snapped my seat up (waking me up) without even asking. I was the only person on the flight who had their seat snapped to the upright position for breakfast this way. They also demanded the pillows and blankets be returned over an hour before landing time. It was service so outrageously bad that the entire experience felt surreal, and I had to keep checking with my friend that the events I was experiencing were actually happening."

Asked twice after meal and both flight attendants said ok but never returned with any. 2 hrs later I got up to get some water and went to galley and asked FA's for some. They didn't speak, they acted like I was bothering them and one pointed to the cups and water bottles...directing me to get my own. Never had that happen before and I fly often. US Air carriers typically have water Service at least once an hour. This flight it only occurred during meal Service, which was twice during entire 7.5 hour flight. Flight going IAD-CMN wasn't any better. I fell sick due to dehydration on the flight. Had same issue with not getting water on flight. Don't think I'll book Royal Air Maroc again."

The air on the plane was not up enough so it was incredibly HOT the entire flight. In fact, there was a baby across the aisle screaming the entire flight because she was overheating. The crew did nothing to help the situation and were only around to deliver food/drinks and that was about it. There was no entertainment so that made the flight even more unbearable. I have asthma and am allergic to cigarette smoke and someone was CLEARLY smoking on board the plane somewhere but the crew did nothing about that either. The crew was significantly more rude on this leg from CMN to CKY and I am not sure if they feel this is acceptable because of their destination but I can tell you that it is NOT! Everyone on board is a paying customer and deserves the same respect. Also, please do not assume that everyone on board speaks the same 2 languages."

Mobile boarding passes would be convenient."

Flight took an extra hour to reach the destination, and during the flight the crew was constantly banging into me when I had my arms within the arm rests. Once at the airport, our entire flight had to wait for a flight that landed after our’s luggage to come through the conveyor belt. There was only the option of fish for food. Who offers basically microwaved fish on a flight, everyone knows you shouldn’t reheat fish. There was also no entertainment on a 6 1/2 hour flight and the WiFi would not connect."

Cons: "They cancelled the flight and made us try stand in line for an hour to get bussed to the hotel- another hour wait. No luggage because it was in a bin so no clothes or anything. Left at 6 am next morning . Got to Sao Miguel and missed my flight that was to leave the day before. Made me wait on stand by before putting me up in a grand hotel with no luggage. It was Still in Boston. I had to buy things to wear and use. So late no dinner at hotel . Terrible"

Cons: "No entertainment. Or difficult to access."

Cons: "Seats were chosen weeks ago and we recieved a text the night before flight that our seats were changed . They put our 2 year old by himself in tow 38 and the rest of us in tow 5&8 and told us we had to figure it out and ask passengers to switch . Hey made no effort to accommodate"

Pros: "I loved the fact that our meals, drinks and seat allocation was included in the price. The staff at Azores air was excellent. The flight crew was friendly and it was a smooth flight that took off and landed on time."
Cons: "I bought the ticket through lastminute.com everything I had sent to me said I was on a TAP flight. It was a shared flight and I actually had to check in with Azores Air. This caused me a lot of stress as when I called lastminute.com to find out what was going on as TAP didn’t have a flight leaving to my destination it was only after several minutes of conveying there was no Tap flight that the customer service rep said oh you are to check in with Azores Air."

Cons: "They had us board from the front and the back of the plane, and a gridlock ensued in the middle with people trying to cross paths to get to their seat. When we landed, we sat on the runway for 20 minutes or so waiting for a gate. Customs/immigration in Boston was HORRIBLE, we waited in lines for over 90 minutes."

Cons: "Business class isn’t super posh but still good"

Pros: "Couldn’t drink it since I am pregnant, but free wine with dinner."
Cons: "Plane was hot. Was in the back and had to sit for a while before air was turned on. No entertainment. Bad weather made our flight 2 hours longer. Couldn’t sleep on overnight flight as ailes were busy for the rest room."

Cons: "Delayed 4 hrs; boarding agent couldn't give any details (meanwhile me kids are screaming); seats were narrow and I couldn't lift the armrest up out of the way. Food was terrible. No entertainment visible from our seats and the headphones didn't work. Flight from BOS was much of the same. NEVER FLYING SATA AGAIN!"

Pros: "Honestly, they had the best plane food I've had in a while. Flight very comfortable and uneventful, they even gave us blankets and pillows."

Cons: "Airline was 2 hours late and missed our connection which made us miss our first port for our cruise we then had to make other arrangements while the airline did nothing to help. I would NEVER FLY with them again."

Pros: "SATA was very hospitable when our flight was delayed into the next day. They provided a hotel and dinner/breakfast vouchers."
Cons: "The App proved to be useles when our flight was delayed 14+ hours. We were able to check in the day of the flight, but were never alerted when the flight was delayed. We called customer service and waited on hold for 30+ minutes without connecting, even though the automated message said the wait would be 6 mins. Communication as a whole was quite poor and created a lot of anxiety amongst the visibly upset travelers."

Pros: "The flight itself was fine."
Cons: "The process of checking in for this flight was horrendous. First of all, I was planning to carry on my bags and check in online. However, the online system wouldn't let me print my boarding pass, so I had no option but to wait in line at the airport. I arrived over 2 hours before my flight, and the scene was jaw dropping. The line to check in on Azores Airlines wrapped all the way around the terminal and was divided into three separate sections so that people could continue pass through the airport. There was no Azores Airlines staff to be found to provide directions or manage the situation, so people kept going into the wrong lines not knowing what the heck was going on. It actually turned out several people had waited in line for an hour for a different flight before realizing they were in the wrong line. Anyways, after a mind-numbing, almost two hour wait, I checked in and went to my gate. The whole flight was delayed since the check-in was so slow. I have no idea what the cause of such a terrible check-in line was, but the Azores Airlines management at the Providence Airport are definitely doing something wrong, and I will avoid flying from there again at all costs!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed due to "technical issues" two hours. This seems to be a consistent thing with SATA and Azores Airlines. The crew was rude when my bag did not fit in the cabin and they had to move it, too."

No order, just a mass of people funneling in to get through the gate. Then had to get on a shuttle bus to the plane... which took us to the wrong plane. Boarding the plane is also a free for all. The disorganization must have at least doubled the required boarding time."

Pros: "Nothing. We didn't take this flight because of the SATA airline strike which left us stuck in Ponta Felgada for 2 days."
Cons: "We were majorly inconvenienced when finding out our flight was delayed, then cancelled completely, the. It happened again the next day. Lost 2 days of our trip whih were supposed to be in Lisbon. We found a Ryanair flight to Porto just to get to the mainland. What a nightmare. Never flying with Azores/SATA again!!"

Pros: "The flight left on time, flight attendants were friendly, some options on the TV (better than none)"
Cons: "Not much offered on the TV entertainment systems. The food was pretty bad. Otherwise the flight was fine."

Pros: "Happy for the incoming Barcelona passengers to make this flight. Ticket agent told us how to snag a couple of free seats, once everyone on board, so we could stretch out for 5 hr. flight. They serve brewed tea!"

Pros: "The food was good. I enjoyed the flight. Though I've felt that I received less than I usually do from international flights but maybe just because this was shorter. No extra bull you don't need like an over night bag (that I've been given on other airlines for over night flights) but if you're expecting it, it may be a bit of a let down. My flight was just under 6 hours so maybe it's too short for that. They served a meal and a half. A full dinner, dessert and appetizer with wine. A muffin with coffee for breakfast. The dinner was surprisingly great. I actually really loved it. The muffin was just a plain blueberry muffin purchased from the store. Just a quick half meal before leaving."
Cons: "Well I had planned to go take a course in Porto which was the whole reason I bought this flight. I missed everything i came here for because of it. They reimbursed people and put people up in hotels, but not me. My trip was ruined essentially due to the cancellation of my first flight but the flight itself, when it did go, was good."

Pros: "The crew was good. Everything else was average, besides the negatives written below."
Cons: "In flight entertainment system broken (7.5 hour flight), no alternative entertainment offered, air conditioner high, no blankets, asked for one but it never came, only one choice for dinner, meat with a side of badly cooked pasta with no sauce."
