Like getting a bus. No great luxury but will get you there
Got us to destination alive, albeit a bit late. Luggage was left behind. No live tracking app available (available on some other airlines). Supposedly going to be delivered in next couple of days.
I had zero issues with the flight. I did have issues with the staff at the airport. We missed out flight due to a delay with another airline. Talking to the staff and trying to get a new flight arranged was challenging. One guy was able to try to help us and got us on a new flight, but other staff was dismissive and clearly let us know it wasn’t their problem. All I kept thinking was… this is why air lingus has such a poor customer service reputation. I will be avoiding this airline in the future.
I liked that I went thru customs in Dublin instead of having to do that in LA.
Baggage fees are deceptive! When I booked this flight, I purchased two tickets and had indicated that I wanted one checked bag. That increased the ticket price by about $100 PER TICKET!. When we went to check in, I was told that I could only check ONE bag, even though I had purchased TWO tickets. I had to pay an additional $50 each way for my wife’s bag. In my opinion, I paid twice for her bag.
Delays resulting in missed connecting flight. Attendant failed to arrange special assistance as promised to get us on connecting flight. Robyn was the particular attendant.
This was the most expensive economy flight per minute of flight time ever. But the quality was lacking. Extremely Aer Lingus rude staff at LHR said that the flight from London to Dublin (Ireland) was “NOT international.” Horrified at the colonial and imperial perspective. Seats were dirty with trash in seat pockets. Airline doesn’t clean or care about hygiene and safety.
The ease of boarding was good. I wish they had something to eat on the plane.
Really helpful staff at the airport and the flight was comfortable with good entertainment options and food service
Boarding seemed a bit chaotic and we had to walk outside across the tarmac. Passengers of all ages had to drag carry on luggage up the outside stairway into the aircraft. There was no WiFi. Very uncomfortable crammed seats. Glad in-air time was only an hour!
I was sent an email that said my card payment was not verified. When I spoke to an agent , he said my card was not verified and the flight I thought I had to booked was no longer available so I booked another flight on another airline(United). Later I got flight updates , etc., concerning my supposed first flight. So if I was charged for this flight on British Airways/American airlines, I need a refund.
The crew made it a great flight. They were friendly and attentive. They made me want to fly British Airways again.
BA has not been handling priority luggage with any special priority. This time our luggage was distinctly very slow to arrive, well after the first half of items to arrive. Business class flights cost a lot and it would be nice to have that reflected in the speed of baggage handling! (I note that this has worsened in our long experience of BA.) On a different note, we spent 2.5 hours on the plane after landing because of an airport mishap at Boston Logan. The pilot provided reasonably frequent update but more could have been done to ensure passenger comfort, such as more beverage and maybe snack services.
I purchased premier economy seats but I was seated one row off and was sitting in economy my bottle of water and cookie did not compare to the menus handed OP it in premier.
People were nice. Seats are so cramped my knees had to be pressed into the seat in front of me.
Aer Lingus was the actual airline so they handled everything professionally.
The flight was delayed, and delayed some more. But there was more room on this plane than the one that flew oversees! There was no food or entertainment, but that’s ok, it’s a short flight

The plane was delayed. That was only downside to flight. Crew was very nice
