Cons: "My flight was delayed on the way to Puerto Plata on 9/9 which made me miss an entire day and I was billed for a stay at the resort. I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."

She did not even care about why I was going to the USA or where I was staying. Se was rude and I was really unpleased by her attitude saying it was British Airways way off doing interviews. Again I have had many interviews before flying to the USA, never been a bad exerience before"

They brought out water and sodas while we waited. Then reboarded and got into Charlotte about three hours late. Lots of very unhappy people. They passed out 800 numbers to rebook. A lot of people missed connections."

The crew, one girl in particular was so incredibly loud as she walked up and down that it was impossible to sleep. She shouted over me and my husbands head despite seeing us asleep, to speak to the third person in our row. It made our journey much more difficult and our arrival in Manchester start the wrong way. Really disappointing and totally controllable."

They need to fly their competition and see how it should be done! The biggest complaint of all is their slight of hand baggage charges. If they're going to partner with another airline, they need some communication and agreement about pricing and allowances. Even though we are United Club members and credit card holders, we were charged nearly $400 to bring our luggage home, after paying just $30., yes, thirty, on Air New Zealand to take two extra bags! United's own overseas policy allows two bags, but they charged us anyway on return because we came on an airline that only allows one even though we paid ANZ to bring extra. Extremely illogical."

They gave me five food vouchers at 10$ per voucher which expired at midnight well it was 10:30 pm when the airline issued them. They comp my two night stay at a hotel which in turn charged my credit card not only with the comp rooms but a various other charges. Then I had to cancel my card and file a claim with my credit card company. The airlines are now nothing but a public bus in the sky. The only thing missing is the panhandlers. Oh also I had no clean cloths or personal items. They made it to my destination on time. So all in all it was a terrible experience with United airlines. It will be a cold day in hell before I choose united airlines to fly me anywhere."

The baggage services in Newark didn't pack my bag on my flight, the next one afterwards nor the one after that. When trying to contact to see what's the issue nobody answered the phone, for a hour. The bag claim services from when I landed in Richmond didn't have a clue on how to contact Newark or to confirm my bags will be on the flight for that day. I had to do the research and find it myself while she watched a movie on her iPad. Needless to say if I could give a negative star rating I would. I missed the banquet and received my bags the next day and still couldn't get a reason from either airport on why they got left behind."
