Pros: The resort was great not a dull moment, beach was beautiful and the rooms were outstanding. Food was pretty great as well, especially the Asian and French restaurants, although, I enjoyed them all. The staff took our stay to the nextt level They know your name, cater to your every whim and genuinely want you to have a good time. The event coordinators we met(Marcos, Luis, Joe and Nestor) made sure there was plenty to do every day if that's what your in to and the bar tenders and drink staff were incredible. Ever was our bar hop and he went above and beyond for us! Love this resort, will most certainly be back!
Cons: No real complaints, ran out of sunscreen at the resort was like 28 USD seemed a bit much. The hookahs they offer were a bit dated and was not impressed with their quality.

Pros: Everything about this resort was amazing! The food, staff, location etc! I could go on forever! It is almost like a completely different resort from day to night. During the day there is tons of entertainment around the pool and beach and then at night everyone gets dressed up for a nice dinner.
Cons: The only 1 complaint that I have is although the bed is beautiful it's extremely uncomfortable!

Cons: Sunscreen too expensive

Pros: This was such an incredible resort! I loved every minute. The staff was excellent and friendly, the food was great, the location was amazing. I loved how many lounge chairs they had as we never had to get to the pool early to secure out spots. I can't wait to go back!
Cons: I would have loved if they had more of the large bed cabanas. They were amazing, but there were only like 6 and so were taken quickly. But honestly, that's not really a complaint because this place was the best.

Pros: + Property: Nice landscaping, beautiful beach front, excellent "adult only" pool. Overall it was nicely maintained. Royal tower room was beautiful with a large balcony, huge bathroom, couch/sitting area, and unobstructed view of the ocean. + Staff: Bartenders & wait staff at the adult pool and rooftop bar were awesome. Waiters at all of the restaurants were good. Cleaning/maid staff were excellent and kept our room looking spectacular everyday. The Royal Tower concierge (Gabriela) was very helpful with accommodating a special request we had. + Food: Good variety. Dinner at the Oriental, and breakfast buffet were the best meals we had during our stay.
Cons: - Property: **BEWARE** when booking that this resort goes by "building type" and not "room type." I thought we had booked a room with a King bed but was told there were none available, but we could upgrade to a "Royal Tower Room" with a King for $240 USD. After much frustration and back and forth with person at the front desk, he offered us a "COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE" to the "Royal Tower Room".......for $50 USD cash he put directly into his pocket. Also -- the 1 and only hot tub was located near the family pool and was filled with young children everyday. There was feces sitting on the steps to the hot tub that were there for at least a half hour before someone pointed them out to maintenance and they were cleaned up; absolutely gross. And if you're looking for late night activities, you'll have to leave the resort because the last bars closed at 100 AM. - Staff: They always seemed to be trying to sell you on something. Beware, the workers in the lobby are not the actual concierge (even though they will tell you they are), they are actually selling timeshare. The real concierge is the opposite direction, near the elevators/banquet hall. Wait staff at the restaurants generally would not refill our water glasses unless we specifically asked them to. - Food: Quality was "OK". There was nothing I would go back for.

Pros: Everything was amazing! All the staff were amazing, except check in boy. Restraunts are amazing and great service! Bell boys are super amazing and very friendly. Room service was great and loved how polite they were.
Cons: Checking in was horriable! After traveling 8 hours and having a young man that seemed very irritable and didn't seem he liked his job to much, was a little frustrating. We received nothing paper wise or conversation about things to do or any info about the resort. No towel cards, maps, agenda paper, nothing!! Just a room key. Check out was good. Thank goodness it was a different person. Not really any activities at night though.

Pros: The staff like most Mexican were extremely nice and helpful. Every part of the hotel that I saw was very clean. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well portioned. I especially like the feature that the room key activated the room lights and once removed would stay on for only 5 mins. Check in and check out was a breeze and it was practically a straight line to the airport. Easy location to get to and from. Muchos gracias!

Pros: We booked last minute and still got a good rate; the place was very comfortable and the staff was kind. They have a restaurant and bar that is very good. Pros: Friendly/Helpful Reception and hotel staff Nice & clean Spacious, comfortable room. Extras in the room: coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge Beautifully updated, spacious bathroom. Excellent water pressure - especially if you have long hair to wash Privacy around pool area. Fitness center Business center On site restaurant & complimentary continental breakfast. Excellent downtown location: public transport/bus stop 50 yards from entrance. Mall 2 blocks (5min walking) away. Supermarket, pharmacy & restaurants all close-by (walking distance). Complimentary DVD's to choose from to watch if you'd like. SMOKE FREE. Thank goodness. Booking via Kayak saved me 50% off the price you'd pay if you reserved at the front desk. Not kidding. There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel for this price point, and I have rather high expectations. Comparable to a 3.5 to 4 star hotel in the USA.

Pros: The hotel was great and the staff was nice. Each room had its own WiFi. There was a living room area, along with a large bedroom and bathroom. Everything was updated and was nicer than the hotel we stayed in for 180.00 per night on the beach.
Cons: The only complaint We have regarding this hotel was the smell of our room. We aren't sure if it's the cleaning supies or what but it was pretty horrible. If you can get past the smell though the hotel is great to stay in.

Pros: Very nice room, very quite but you rather have a room facing the front of the hotel cause there is construction going on in the back. Breakfast cost $16 if you pay in Advance as I didn't and just showed up daily and paid $7. If u need Good WiFi in your room stay on the lower floors as I did as it worked Great. Huge mall and Casinos near buy, u can take the local minibus to the beach area as they cost 10 pesos. Overall I really liked staying here also there are a few local bars across the street.

Pros: Some of the staff and the location were good
Cons: I wasn't expecting high quality food, having been to a number of all inclusive resorts in the past. However, a large percentage of the items served here were bad. I don't mean they were not prepared well, rather they were at very stages of spoiled. Worst was the breakfast meat served for room service, which reeked when sliced into and was many days expired. We quickly got in the habit of first taking a small sample before consuming anything. This combined with indifference by the staff, particularly at the front desk, should cause you pause if you are considering staying at this location. Also, do not believe that your package includes everything described. WiFi is not included, and ocean view may require you to stand on a chair to see over the wall. Kayak should drop this location or appropriately update the descriptions to reflect reality.

Pros: Overall our experience at the GR Solaris Cancun was good. The food was good limited from a restaurant perspective. The entertainment was fun, but not great. From talking with others, you can tell the staff has done an amazing job of making this a place people want to come back to time and time again. The patrons and staff, young and old, were friendly and made for an overall enjoyable experience.
Cons: The biggest issue this this hotel was the poor internet service. You pay $37USD per device for 3 days and we had issues staying connected to it anywhere but in the lobby. When we complained, the manager told us there wasn't anything they could do but complain to the company. The food options were extremely limited, but the food they had was ok. The minibar in the rooms was also very limited. There were just a few beers, a few sodas and 3-4 bottles of water. More options or bars that were open later would have been helpful. The location on the beach was also not as nice as other places I've been. The water was very rough and the beach wasn't as nice as other locations I've been to in Cancun.

Pros: My favorite thing about this place was the staff. Everyone spoke English, even the room attendants, so communication was very easy. I did not encounter a single rude person. The wait staff rotated from restaurant to restaurant as the day progressed, so you really got to know the staff. The pools were great... one was really warm, one was just right, and of course the ocean was only a few steps away if you wanted to really cool off. The wait staff came down to the beach to take orders, too, which was probably the best part! The food was mostly good... lots of buffet fare, lots of selection. The reservations-only restaurant, Marco Polos, was very nice. The asian night was my favorite, the french night was not that great (except for the cheese).
Cons: While there were always options for food, the windows for certain things to be open were relatively small. For example, if you wanted a sandwich, the place didn't open until 4:00.

Pros: The meals and attentions are spectacular.
Cons: The air conditioning is automated in the rooms. So it cannot be modified by the guest at your own pleasure. They should include more variety, such as pizza, hamburgers, etc.

Pros: Staff stood out the most as tolerant helpful and nice. Loads of food and drink.

Pros: A variety of foods were offered. The Marco Polo restaurant was excellent. We loved our server Señor Felix (feliciano) who went above and beyond to provide us excellent meal experiences at Marco Polo!!! He was always attentive.
Cons: The wifi service was poor. While other hotels picked up on the beach the wifi at this hotel didn't even pick up in the rooms. It was a bit pricey for very spotty service.

Pros: Can’t speak for all rooms of course but room 508 could certainly need a makeover. Balcony door didn’t close properly, lighting wasn’t sufficient and the bathroom looked somewhat dated. However, the hotel as such is nice, great pool area, good coffee shop, nice staff. It’s not directly in the centre but walkable
Cons: The hotel offers free shuttle service to two partner hotels at the beach. They charge you 600 pesos for a day pass for these all in resorts but that’s not worth it. (Plus it’s a ridiculously bureaucratic procedure to get there and in) The beach was great, but the food was lousy and the service poor. Had the feeling they intentionally slow down the service to serve less. In any case, better option is to go to a public beach in my opinion
