Pros: Hurricane Matthew messed up our plans for our wedding ceremony on the beaches of South Carolina, so we decided to ease the pain with a three day jaunt with our boys to Hyatt Ziva. Having spent a weekend at Hyatt Zilara in late June for my wife's birthday, we were somewhat familiar with the Hyatt brand, and knew what to expect from a quality standpoint.
The friendliness of the staff is what we enjoyed the most. They make you feel like they are genuinely happy you are there, from the concierge staff to the kids club staff, and everyone in between. The hospitality is top-notch.
The sugar sand beaches at Ziva are really nice. Both are protected so the crystal clear waters are calm and refreshing. The lounge chair area next to Habenero's was the best, being right next to the water with service staff to deliver drinks with a smile.
Our 6 yr old can't stop talking about The Kids Club. He had such a good time with other kids his age, playing in the water park or eating lunch in one of the restaurant's, or making arts and crafts together. Total winner in that regard.
We were able to enjoy the live salsa band that played Thursday night on the rooftop bar. We had a blast dancing all night long.

Pros: The staff was excellent, very attentive and helpful and mostly bilingual. We were there in March and the weather was great, but the beach is shaded fairly early in the afternoon. We had to keep moving around the pool to stay in the sun. Luckily the resort was not full so it was not a problem.
We did not eat at the buffets, but ordered off the menu and the food was very good.

Pros: High quality luxury hotel with compact layout. Pools and beach about a minute walking from the main lobby area. Beach has little surf and is very swim-able. Bars and restaurants were all high quality and reasonably cheap. I took a mini suite which has a seating area between the sleeping area and the balcony. Perfect for lounging in the afternoon. Plenty of bars, restaurants and nightclubs with 5 minutes walk if you want to experience something outside the hotel.

Pros: We had an absolutely terrific time at the hotel. An excellent location, great food and especially great service. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Always a small and always trying to help. The beach and pools were the best. It had a large area for swiming and it was out of the main waves area and relatively gentle for everyone to enjoy. The pools were clean and well staffed. I would glady recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: Can't say enough good things about our stay at Hyatt Zilara. From the moment we stepped foot from our airport transfer, every single staff member that we interacted with throughout our stay was completely warm, courteous helpful, and just extremely nice. I concluded that the reason the property is prettier than neighboring resorts has to be due to the fact that there was always a small number of staff maintaining a meticulous level of cleanliness and presentation. The open air concept of the hotel is neat and helps to provide that tropical feel. As an all inclusive, adults only resort, food and drinks were also amazing...not to mention that they have all of the popular premium liquors (Grey Goose, Capt Morgan, Crown Royal etc). Finally, it's even prettier than the photos that you'll find on the web!

Pros: I came few days ago, but I still have no words to express all my admire for this hotel. It is worth every dollar and even more. Professional Stuff, excellent food(they have Buffet, but every from 7 restaurants are a la Carte). Hotel has own large beach, on the best location in Cancun. I have been many times in Cancun, in many nice hotels. This is the best one in Cancun, I am so sure. You need only to aviod so called "Guest Services Desk". It is Timesharing company. You will lose precious time for one scrap bag - 5 USD worth. All drinks are premium quality and they have very good choice for every taste. All Rooms have magnificient ocean view. The centre of nightlife is only 1 km from the Hotel. Go to website of this hotel.Everything is true.

Pros: The hotel is older and I believe one of the first hotels built in the area, but it is still a beautiful hotel. The room I stayed in was wonderful - travertine stone on the floors and in the bathroom. Loved the shower. The colors were earth tones, which have always been my favorites, and the bed was very comfortable.
Everyone I encountered as far as staff were friendly and very efficient. I asked for more towels before leaving for a meeting one day and upon my return several fresh clean ones had been put in my room.
The price was also very reasonable. Overall I would rate my experience and the hotel a 9.5. The only suggestion I would have would be for the owners. They should put a new coat of paint on the outside of the building, which would be one of the least expensive things they could do, and it would brighten everything up. I believe they had recently done so to the interiors.
It's not a party hotel, and there are many of those in Cancun that have hip hop or house music banging all day and night. It's a place you can go and have a very relaxing time. Most of the guests were Mexican nationals, many with their families. I had a very nice time and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Pros: The friendly staff and comfort of resort. Felt completely rested and relaxed. Javier pool/beach concierge was very helpful and make sure the beach is clean and safe. I will return there again and again.

Pros: Fantastic beach and pool area. This is one of the oldest hotels on the `Hotel Zone` strip and so has BY FAR the best position; some of the other newer hotels have very small beach areas and tiny pools. Intercontinental has two large pools, several bars/restaurants and masses of sunbathing/lounger space. Lobby is impressive. Next to golf course (although the course next to the Hilton about 1 mile away is better and half the price!) masses of free parking plus valet parking. Excellent value for money rooms via booking.com. Bed comfortable.

Pros: I have visited MANY all inclusive hotels, and OMNI Cancun was BY FAR, the BEST food I have EVER had! We ate at almost every single restaurant on site while we were there and did not have a single bad thing to say about anything we ate. It was better than most restaurants that you go out and pay for!
There was a TON of staff and we hardly ever waited long for anything. They were very accommodating.
The rooms were beautiful and in pristine condition.
We loved using the gym, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, pools and sauna.

Pros: After a recent stay at the Park Royal, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your stay in Cancun, especially if you're hoping to visit their "spa"- there isn't one. There's a Fitness Center with a man apparently available for massages but definitely nothing fancy- I'm not even sure where the room for massages was located within the Fitness Center.
That being said, there were a lot of things that were pretty unclear and confusing.
I have stayed in different parts of Mexico and at a number of resorts, varying in price range and this was definitely not the least expensive place that I have stayed at that definitely had the least amount of amenities.
It can be pretty chilly at times during the winter months (even in Mexico!) so we were surprised that there was no hot tub. There were two small pools but they weren't heated, so between that and the lack of what we thought would be an actual spa (the website would have you believe that there was a pretty extensive one) we were surprised about how unaccomodating the front desk staff was. When we asked for recommendations for a spa we could cab or walk to, they had no recommendations and sent us out the door telling us to "try the hotel next door", which turned out to not allow non-guests to even book an appointment at their spa. I have never had a concierge not even ask a co-worker if they didn't have a recommendation, let alone not offer to call and book something for you since it isn't available.
The restaurant staff and really all the staff sans the front desk were very polite and helpful; I think that's why it was so surprising when even getting change was an issue at the desk. We decided to do do our own research and found our own spa and a couple of restaurants to get off the resort via Trip Advisor since the front desk seemed pretty inept at helping with that sort of thing. There is only one non-buffet, reservation only situation that's a little difficult to get a spot at but decent. Overall the food wasn't the best I've had at an all-inclusive but it was not the worst. Do not expect to order guacamole and chips poolside- they aren't set up for it. If you're a fan of Mimosas unfortunately this isn't the place for you, either. They have a choice of white or red but that's the end of their wine "selection".
The beds are incredibly firm, which can be a positive or negative depending on your preference. Also not a negative but just an FYI- the water is a super wavy, beautiful and clear and fun to wade into. For snorkeling you can get a really great tour over protected reefs via Aqua World that's completely reasonably priced. The hotel actually said that snorkeling was included when we booked but it turned out that was only true if you sat through a Time Share presentation which for us wasn't worth it, we just paid for the experience and it was a lot of fun.
Summary? Spend a little more and get a lot more seemed to be the lesson we learned for All Inclusives in Cancun.

Pros: This all inclusive hotel offers everything. From your type of pillow you want to sleep on, if you want aromatherapy in the room, 4 types of liquor and mixers in room, to several dining options available on site. You literally never have to leave the resort unless you want to explore. I thought that with unlimited alcohol included that it would be crawling with drunk people, but everyone was the right type of pleasantly buzzed or totally sober. No puking anywhere that I saw. The staff had exceptional service that I have not found anywhere else. While you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't want to, there are lots of tours and excursions that you probably should look into if you have never visited the area before, and I definitely recommend a night out to It can be loud, and if you like your sleep, I recommend a room with the lagoon view for a quieter atmosphere.

In the shopping mall across the street there is a travel agency that offer excursions (e.g. to Chichen Itza) much cheaper than the guy sitting in the hotel lobby.

Loved the bread and salad at the Italian restaurant and liked the food at the Mexican and French restaurants best

Pros: My wife and I were very pleased with our 5-day stay at the Crown Paradise. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, the bartenders were cool, the oceanview room was lovely, housekeeping did a great job each day and most of the food service personnel were personable and accommodating. We thought the quality of food was pretty awesome especially in view of the somewhat negative reviews from some other guests on Booking.com and Trip Advisor. The variety of breakfast choices at La Palapa was great, the sashimi, sushi and calamari at Fujiyama were terrific and it's tough to go wrong with the cheeseburgers, wings and nachos at the pool bars for snacks during the day. Easy access to downtown with the bus routes.

Pros: The professionalism of the staff. Their willingness to accomodate me as a guest in any of my needs. Special thanks to Pedro (Front Desk), Gabriella (Bar Maid), Sergio (DJ) and the Hotel Manager. In fact everyone was awesome. The cleanliness at the hotel as a whole was impressive as well. The value for money was great too, that could be special thanks to booking.com as well.

Pros: Staying at the resort was really a very nice get away for me and my boyfriend. I keep trying how to describe the hotel and all I can come up with is that it is big and small at the same time! there was a wide variety of things to do at this resort from mini golf, to going to any of the 7 places to eat ( including room service 24-7) yet it was a cozy hotel and even other guest had become familiar with each other. Everyone was relaxing and having a good time in a nice atmoshphere. I loved the rooms , they were very nice and clean. Check in was very stress free and pain free and every associate had a smile on thier face. Jose at the pool bar was absoluty amazing, you can tell he really loves his job and the people he meets there!
