It was close to the 6th floor museum Noises, lots of people coming in and out because there was a big party in the club located inside. Relaxing was impossible.
Location is great, Dallas World Aquarium is within walking distance so you do save on parking. The hotel stay was ok, the room had a microwave and a fridge which I wasn't expecting so that was nice. You basically get what you pay for. The hotel is downtown and I checked other downtown hotel rates and they were quite expensive so settled on this. It's not a luxury hotel per say so plan to spend some time exploring the downtown because that way you get a good value out of your hotel stay.

The location was nice in that is was close to many other places downtown within walking distance. Although the immediate area didn't give us a fully safe feeling. The price we paid for the hotel was fair. The smell of the hallway was bad. It seems like they never cleaned or replaced the carpet ever. The location also looked a little shady as we were walking to the hotel.
Good stay overall! One complaint was told via email and booking that the room included breakfast even the server with breakfast told me it was included but somehow I was charged anyway. Ill just make sure to be mindful the next time.
Shower head was much to short for a tall person. I kept hitting my head on the spout which was both painful and disgusting.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was rundown. furniture broken and old. did not like that after a certain hour, the hotel bar turns into a nightclub with a $10 entrance. we just wanted to go have a drink at the hotel bar and it went from a nice hotel bar earlier in the day to a cheeky vegas nightclub packed with 20 somethings. We just wanted to go from our room to have a cocktail, not the gross club!
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room, though somewhat older, was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Water pressure on our floor (15) was good, but a friend staying on another floor (18) said that it was barely a trickle. Although we didn't use the pool, its location on the ninth floor was nice. Downtown Dallas, like downtown of other large, Texas cities (e.g., Houston) is just not a great location. We arrived on a Sunday, and very little was open. We walked several blocks to find dining options other than Subway, McDonald's or 7-Eleven. The hotel is not far from a Greyhound station and several urban parks, so there were often groups of people hanging around near the hotel that made the place seem a bit unsafe. The hotel is on the older side, and could stand to be upgraded a bit.
We were supposed to have a room with two queen-size beds and instead we had two full-size. was very hard for four people to sleep in two full-sized beds.
I had a great stay. My visit was exactly as I expected. The hotel shuttle pick up from Love Field was a unique benefit.
The front desk and concierge was very polite and friendly. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful! The bed was very comfortable and the balcony was nice. The room was in need of a remodel. Paint and color on the walls were out of date. There were several spots that have been patched over. The bar staff wasn't very knowledgable in making drinks or friendly. She seemed preoccupied with one customer the hour I was there.
The location is the reason I booked this hotel. Room smelled like wet mildewed gym socks. The bed was beyond uncomfortable. The toilet paper even felt like it was from the solitary confinement section of Riker's Island! We were forced to have our room keys re-magnetized 7 times in two days. I am very conscious not to let my cell phone come in contact with the keys etc, but it was a habitual problem. I have never experienced that in all the many places I have stayed in the past. The front desk staff was disinterested and going through the motions every time they were approached. Warm hospitality is not their strong suit. I really discourage this hotel when staying downtown. Go somewhere else.
Rooms were nice and clean. 1 out of 4 elevators were working and we all had to walk 30 flights of stairs with all of our luggage. There was no apology or compensation for anything. I understand technically issues happen but we were on the 30th floor and it had been 8 hours.. ridiculous.
I liked the location to the trains going through downtown dallas. It is a high-rise hotel so some rooms overlook downtown. Yes, staff unfriendly and would not answer phone calls to front desk after hours of continous attempts went downstairs in pajamas due to the fact that the heater never worked. Maintance came in to room at 2am even though attempts were made beginning at 11pm. And, the heater was never repaired. The safe in room did not work. The reservation made through booking.com 2 days prior to arrival was not there. So after much delay at front desk and another credit card charge was able to go to room with no heater,no staff that would help, and a safe that did not work.
Nothing. Upon arrival we were told that all the king bed rooms were taken which we had reserved prior to. Then we walk into the room that wasn't clean. Beer cans strewed everywhere, beds were filthy and trash all in the room. Not only that but the elevators were out of order and we had to climb 8 flights of stairs each time we left the room. Worst stay ever

The facilities have been updated but you can still tell it's a very old hotel. The a/c in our room wasn't great. Would stay there again!
Location was good. The hotel had a lot of amenities. The bar staff was not very good. Not friendly at all. Enjoyed the stay but it was not as nice as other Fairmonts where I've stayed.
The staff were super. Very helpful and everyone was smiling! I stay at the Fairmont when I am visiting customers for business. Our family trip took us through Dallas and the only hotel I thought of was the Fairmont. My family will definitely visit the Fairmont in the future again. All good! Bartender made great drinks, pool was awesome for my daughter and wife and location was superb for walking to dinner.
We felt welcomed, respected and valued as if we were family. The hotel is all about making you feel important. It is immaculate, the service was perfect in every respect. The staff made us feel comfortable as though we were both important and yet like we were old friends. Absolutely nothing.
Was willing to remove a faulty charge No hot water, TV didn't work, coffee machine in room did not work either, and a very loud AC
The AC couldn't keep up to keep me comfortable.
The room was very warm and got even warmer in the middle of the night. I complained to the front desk and they said they would send a technician, but the temp never changed by much.

Courtesy car will take you anywhere in 1 mile radius... BIG plus for us. Staff are super friendly!
We stayed on Concierge floor with the Club lounge which includes all the alcohol and light food throughout the day. It is worth the extra money to stay on this floor. We did a package that included a three course meal at Fearings which was the highlight of our evening along with having champagne and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room at just the perfect time which was while we were out at the pool. The pool isn't big but the staff at the pool is very attentive if you need anything.
Our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Dallas has been ruined. Everyday, when we go into the club level, we have been appalled by the lack of enforcement of the dress code and the noise level in the club room. For example, no shoes, half naked men and women in bathrobes, men, women, and children in pajamas and dirty socks with no shoes, and today was the icing on the cake which has ruined our stay and will result in our early departure. There are a group of loud, obnoxious, rude, and inconsiderate heathens in the club room watching a football game (3:30pm CST) we asked the attendant to address the noise issue and she instead walked over and told the group that she was sorry to disturb them, but that we had complained and pointed us out. That resulted in them bullying us out of the club level room. We have been staying at Ritz Carlton properties for twenty years and we have never experienced this level of unsatisfactory service. My 2 daughters and I stayed at the hotel on a very busy Dallas weekend. We were greeted with Sprinkles cupcakes at the reg. desk to celebrate a big football game being played that weekend. The beginning of a great weekend. \n\nThe club level floor was large and worked perfectly for an extra roll-away bed. The bathroom was huge. The club level lounge had superb snacks. We also ate at Fearings on the lobby level. Though difficult to get a reservation on the busy weekend, we camped out hoping for a cancellation and were lucky to nab a table. The food was tremendous -- the chef was previously at the Mansion across town. Expensive, but well worth the price.\n\nThe hotel is only 10 minutes from Northpark Mall, as well as other shopping areas.\n\nOur stay was great. We'll definitely return!\n\n

I paid good miney for this hotel and should not have to wait....on the confirmation it says hotel check in at 3! not 6!!!...what can kayak or crescent do for me? i would love to stay again but that put a big "?" to stay again....
Cleanliness and willingness of the staff to help find a more comfortable room. When the hotel lost power and the fire alarm was tripped it seemed that the emergency response was disorganized and didn't have a clear leader. I was also disappointed in the city, there was not one police officer or fire fighter at the from of the hotel helping matters. Felt very unsafe throughout the situation.
The Marriott location couldn't be better. Being located inside the city center was an experience in itself. It's as if your in a city...inside! Loved our balcony. Overall was more than pleased!
Staff was very friendly. Check in and out was a breeze. Room was clean and up-to-date. The only thing I didn't like was the weather. The hotel was great.
Stayed at the Joule for my wifes birthday. It was our second stay at this hotel so that should speak volumes about our overall experience in that we are repeat customers. The staff were so eager to please that we felt like a part of the family.
It was Centrally located. Rooms are a bit small.
Quick getaway for my husband and me to see Carrie Underwood and we loved the whole experience. Will definitely go again. Not a Thing!!

The rooms very large and the gym was awesome. They even provided workout clothes and shoes, which I forgot to bring. The staff was very professional, except for the maid service. The maid service was lazy. The staff only cleaned the room once in three nights in spite of our repeated efforts to have it cleaned daily.
The hotel was very clean. The staff was very welcoming. The breakfast is very good. The facilities were fun (basketball room, swimming pool ...).

The hotel had clean rooms, but the beds were not the most comfortable. It is located in a great part of Dallas, central to a lot of entertainment and easily accessible to the highway.
The hotel was clean. The hotel attempted to cancel my reservation due to their overbooking problems. They didn't want to recognize my reservation. After getting rather irate with them, they tried to send me to a sister property. I called and that property was overbooked as well. The desk manager finally provided me my room. I will never stay at this location again. I am a a Marriott Gold member and they treated me like crap.
It's location in the West End where all the events of the Texas/OU Weekend took place.

Loved the Free breakfast we were able to attend every morning when we were there because not only the food was good, so was the selection of foods. Also they opened the food bar early enough for us to get to our meetings on time. The on going construction, but of course that is something you have to put up with for the great things to come.
$30 a day for parking was a little high.
The front desk staff gave us a free room upgrade! They provided exceptional service. And not only our deluxe room but the whole hotel was super nice.
Staff was amazing: friendly, incredibly attentive and response time for something was wonderful. Pool was fun and the pool area was well decorated. They could use a bar, though. They lack a restaurant and bar which was a disappointment. The breakfast was unappealing. Eggs were obviously not fresh. Everything lacked taste and the variety was disappointing. The first night our sheets felt like sandpaper and the towels are not soft.
The location is perfect for those wanting to explore the downtown area and not be right on the freeway. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. The outside pool is a refreshing break after a day of trekking in the city. The breakfast was about average, but trying to share one toaster got a bit crazy. Get there early if you don't want the frustration.

Very modern, and clean, staff was friendly Location is a little hard to find but with google maps it made it a cinch :) shower took a while to get hot water but we turned it on a few minutes before we got in.
It was downtown close to the light rail and walking distance to almost everything. Also CrossFit Pac Elm is right next door!!! Staff was excellent! There was no restaurant, but I understand there will be soon.
Beatiful lobby and pool. Upscale rooms Hilton hotel policies are not customer friendly. The hotel gave me a lot a problem over wanting to put incidentials on cash instead of my card. I did not have time to go to the bank and deposit funds but I had cash. They were not flexiable with me.
The room was very clean. No room service menu in room.
