The car we were given should not be on the road. The front trye had a deep slash which unfortunately wasn't noted at pick up but came apparent when the tyre light started to come on. When we started driving the car any distance the 'Engine failure' & 'STOP' lights started coming on. A number of other hazard/warning lights also came up intermittently. The car also began vibrating/shuddering. We did contact green motion and did arrange to see a mechanic unfortunately the mechanic never arrived at the garage. we were in a very small town and 3hr away from the green motion drop off. All these issued caused unnecessary stress and made it impossible for us to complete our trip properly. Missing out in a number of key sights/places we had planned to see/do. We managed to get the car back to the drop off location but this wasn't a pleasant drive. We dropped off 2 days early and request a FULL refund.Reviewed 8 Sept 2024

The harassment you receive on check in is exhausting. They don't accept the additional insurance you buy online, they charge you £1500 as a hold, and then threaten that you'll be liable for all £40,000 that the car is valued for if you don't show a million dollar insurance through your credit card or take on another £200+ in fees. The company couldn't have been more helpful. I hired a car due to a breakdown. They helped me work out how I could cover the unexpected cost and were totally kind and sympathetic. The car wasn’t ready by the time i arranged it. I had to wait 45 minutes for the car to arrive. When the car arrived, the staff member mentioned that the car wasn’t clean because they didn’t have the chance to wash it. The car smelled like weed and cigarettes the whole time, we found a blunt under the passenger seat. The staff member stated it that they didn’t have another car to rent it to me. I returned the car 3 hours prior the time, and asked them for some type of credit for the whole situation, they denied it. This is a very unprofessional company.Reviewed 22 Jul 2024
