Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Late boarding"
Pros: "Easy boarding and quick to receive baggage in Gatwick"
Cons: "Late opening of check-in. 2 desks allocated so 2 long queues. 20 mins into check-in the queue I was in changed to priority boarding. This necessary information should have been indicated in advance as 90% of the passengers were in the wrong queue. As for aircrew 1 of the female crew was miserable as sin and unhelpful to most passengers"
Cons: "Why make you board the plane and then tell you there is a 45 minute delay"
Pros: "Staff were excellent. I felt valued as a passenger. EasyJet seem to try to improve their process continually."
Cons: "Nearly every EasyJet flight I take is delayed. I know this can be beyond their control but I think scheduling is a bit tight. That said they keep you updated often and delay times go down as well as up."
Cons: "Late and the crew wasn't helpful"
Cons: "Being late on both journeys! With no explanation"
Cons: "Late like usual"
Cons: "Being charged £90 when Inhad to change a typo on my boarding card. When I looked at my bc I saw that there was a typo. In the middle name section I had mis typed my name sstor..I finally worked out how to amends it..I corrected it & the next screen charges me £90.."
Pros: "I have been a fan of Easyjet for years but my last four experiences with them have been poor to say the least. A return flight to Naples earlier in the year and now Palermo shows that their attitude to customer care is slipping badly. All four flights were delayed to a greater or lesser degree. That happens and is usually beyond the control of the airline. What is not beyond their control is the way that they communicate during the delay and the way they treat their passengers. We are people not self-loading freight. Easyjet is fast becoming as bad as British Airways and they are by far the worst. A very frustrating and sad thing to see. The beginning of the end for Easyjet?"
Cons: "Abysmal communications. A don't care attitude. Not my problem syndrome. Treating passengers like cattle."
Pros: "The crew was polite and friendly"
Cons: "It was delayed like the previous flight with easyJet to the holiday destination"
Cons: "Began 'boarding' the plane despite the fact people had not got of plane that had arrived from London. We waiting in corridor thing that leads to plane for over 20 minutes"
Pros: "Customer service was good"
Cons: "Delays both ways, hours waiting, no update throughout the process and if we are even 10 minutes late after staying updated online with the delayed flight times, we get told off satimof weeks can't board the flight."
Pros: "Was meant to be a 21.40 flight that was delayed until midnight"
Cons: "Arrived at gatwick after public transport closed with no assistance offered"
Pros: "Pilot's way of explaining delays & diverted route"
Cons: "FRANTIC at Marseille Airport Easyjet security check area Then after unexplained delays, at gate entrance my hand luggage was refused even though it was organised the same way as my outward journey and that was OK. Aggressive checker said it couldn't have been Easyjet - I don't lie, and my outward journey was Easyjet. Had to repack & so spoilt some contents. We were left standing in gate area for ages without explanation."
Pros: "Crew were really nice"
Cons: "Queue and staff at Nice airport were so poor/slow. Also flight was delayed"
Pros: "The welcome, the staff, everything was FAR better than my last flights with easyJet."
Cons: "New lights, lady behinds light was directly on our sleeping baby's head and we had to hold our hand over his eyes!"
Cons: "Decompression before landing was awful."
Pros: "Efficient service and arrived ahead of time"
Cons: "Cramped seating"
Cons: "Fairly cramped seats, constantly trying to sell me stuff at ridiculous prices"
Pros: "Flight on time"
Cons: "Overpriced water £1.80 for small bottle rounded up to €2.50 - double ripoff"
Pros: "New laptop ban was notified by email and text, so all ready when I arrived at airport. This is a lowish cost airline and crew were good, but does offer really good value and worth paying a bit more than some of the cheapest out there. Not too much different to BA, but friendlier and better value. Flight was a bit late leaving, but arrived pretty much on time. Food is also pretty good value, high street cafe prices, although the ham and cheese toastie is not recommended. But everything else was fine."
Cons: "Laptop ban is a pain, but not Easyjet's fault."
Pros: "The flight was very late over an hour late and as a results I have to take taxi from schipol airport to Amersfoort which cost me a lot"
Pros: "Crew pleasant and professional. Explained the headwind would add time"
Cons: "No gate number posted at airport just told the flight was boarding!"
Pros: "No issues on outward flight, flight arrived early"
Cons: "Return flight was delayed for an hour and passengers were not informed why there was a delay until the captain mentioned it."
Pros: "Slight delay in boarding which seemed due to ground staff shortage resulting in 30 minute delayed departure, but overall the flight was good - no complaints."
Cons: "Being delayed Not being told anything"
Pros: "Air being recycled"
Pros: "Value for money"
Cons: "When boarding, they call out speedy boating holders, they forgot to call out families with children's"
Pros: "Easy boarding--priority boarding"
Cons: "So far to walk"
Pros: "Full flight. One working bathroom. The seatbelt light stayed on longer than I've ever seen on a flight and I was begging the crew to go to the bathroom. Utterly ridiculous. 200 people and one bathroom. Get it together."
Pros: "Flight was on time, staff good."
Cons: "Would not have wanted to be on the flight any longer as there wasn't much leg room."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "You gave us no support and little guidance when we had to find our way from Gibraltar airport to the coaches waiting to take us to Malaga airport today for our rearranged flight to gatwick. No one was there to show us where the coaches were, the snack was chocolate and crisps, the meal handed to us in Malaga was a ham baguette! So for us who eat healthy, or gluten intolerant, or vegetarian there was no food available all day... So no support, little directions, no real food and no care... Unless I have to I will never choose to fly easyjet again"
Pros: "Crew were lovely, good leg room as somehow got allocated exit row. Toilets nice and clean"
Cons: "One hour late taking off. I checked in carry on luggage when requested " for the greater good" but added time to journey - shouldn't be necessary. Long bus ride from plane to terminal also added time. Everything else ok"
Pros: "Makeing up lost time"
Cons: "Time taken to board"
Cons: "Approx 35 min delay on departure from London. Long waite time on getting off the plane."
Pros: "The cabin crew were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and the flight crew sounded professional and kept us informed of progress. the food was fine and not horrendously priced."
Cons: "the plane was late arriving and the information received on KAYAK and the Easyjet app did not match the information displayed in the terminal (the apps were correct)"
Cons: "The price on kayak with easy jet doesn't reflect end price as you have to pay extra for baggage. other airlines include baggage as is per the norm. East Jet do their very best to get money from you in any way possible."
Pros: "Upbeat friendly crew. Informative captain. Early arrival."
Cons: "Boarding gate far from main concourse. Tired seats."
Pros: "straight forward and short flight"
Cons: "delayed flight going out and coming home no leg room on flight and air con over us not working"
Cons: "Took over an hour for the luggage to be delivered to the belt."
Cons: "Everything Easyjet is simply a poor company. Flights are late and not cheap, staff attention is very weak"
Pros: "Cabin staff"
Cons: "Huge trek to gate. Late - again."
Pros: "Well organised. Pollute efficient staff."
Cons: "One particular member of staff @Gatwick airport who was racist towards non whites."
Pros: "This was the 4th time I've flown with easyjet and on each previous occasion it was delayed. This time the flight was cleared for take-off on time and we actually landed 10 minutes early."
Pros: "Quick and easy to find."
Cons: "A male boarding person. Now, my son has a hidden disability, which means he gets tired easily and need to sit down, so long queues are difficult. We were asked to go through boarding and people with children could go through speedy boarding, which we did, but were stopped by this male boarding person, as my son had a tiny bag across his shoulder and a trolley bag. We were then sent back to repack our bags and went last in the queue, this obviously made my sons legs very tired and he couldn't understand why this male boarding person made us go to the back. It is very unfortunate to have a hidden disability when you are a child, but to be singled out by this male boarding person was an awful experience for my family. As it were many other passengers had two BIG bags, let alone a little tiny one... Tut tut tut, give the crew customer service courses..."
Pros: "Departure and Arrival on time"
Cons: "Too short distance to fly... :)"
Pros: "No delay Everything was fine"
Cons: "Delayed. Confusion over gates."
Pros: "Seat was all sticky and I had to clean it"
Pros: "Price and efficiency"
Cons: "Well it is a low cost airline, you get what you pay for"
Pros: "Seat not too cramped. We didn't get lost - as BA flight did recently!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed! Info re delay was limited."
Cons: "Late takeoff - late arrival"
Cons: "have to pay 55 euro’s for checkin .... crew very rude at the desk"
Pros: "I liked that I didn't feel squashed and this is about it."
Cons: "I disliked the fact that our flight was delayed and we weren't notified about it. I disliked that we got told there was a problem with the engine but they didn't allow us to either get off the plane or change plans we just sat there as they ran test after test. Asking us to sit down for them to see if the engine is working okay. They asked a member of the public who was sat by the wing to keep an ear out for any funny noises. We stayed on the runway for an hour and a half after it was already delayed. Once we set off in fear that the engine might fail again Ryanair didn't even off us a free glass of water to show appreciation for peoples tolerance. It honestly isn't worth the money you save."
Pros: "This flight issues were so plentiful they provided me with knowledge on how not to run an airline."
Cons: "5 X delays, Incompetent pilot, No organisation of ground crew 2.5hr late"
Pros: "No frills but got us there safely on time."
Cons: "Had to walk on the Tarmac."
Pros: "Boarding was ahead of schedule, but we waited on the runway for a long time. Checking in via an app is great too."
Cons: "The seats are uncomfortable, the application of the baggage policy is inflexible & difficult, there are no places to put your things and having seating assigned randomly when you travel with someone is ridiculous. I love discount airlines, but being charged for things that would make me happier while not costing the airline a penny is too far. Ryanair gets your initial business with artificially low rates and then nickle-and-dimes you until you pay at least as much as you would by just going with an honest carrier that charges normal prices up front. I am tired of being messed about when there are equivalently priced carriers that aren't such shysters."
Pros: "The price, and that’s it."
Cons: "The airline had hidden regulations that if you are a first time customer will cost you way more than you think. Just be carefull"
Pros: "Loved the speed and efficiency of everything; we arrived from Dublin to Gatwick 25 minutes early. Plenty of opportunity for inflight purchases for such a small flight which was great!"
Pros: "Boarded from gate beside the executive lounge."
Cons: "Ground staff made final boarding call too soon. Had to rush from the lounge only to find no passengers had left the terminal steps to walk to the plane to board."
Cons: "No flight announcement at Dublin airport so missed flight"
Cons: "Very long walk on landing"
Pros: "Staff is young and energetic! Beat crew on trip so fat and we've been on three other planes."
Cons: "Seats are eat too close if you are, tall. The landing was a,3,out of 10."
Cons: "Customer service"
Cons: "Flight was very late.(over 2 hours) Notices not posted timeously No meal tokens offered, or anything else to soften the irritation Boarding and offloading by stairs into the rain - cheapest possible options."
Cons: "Anxiety over the luggage."
Cons: "Sitting 10 rows from my wife"
Pros: "Wish the back of the seats in front of me had the pocket to hold things."
Cons: "Tap water offer would be appreciated. Too bad the checked bag price is so high that everyone brings what they can onboard which fills up all the overhead storage. Tickets that are bought together should be seated together if possible and not just randomly assigned."
Pros: "737 800 plane much more comfortableScramble at boarding."
Cons: "Load in numerical order by ordering passengers to line up in that order"
Pros: "i made my flight and saved a lot of money."
Cons: "i was shocked that i had to pay for water."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Hard seats"
Pros: "Was cheap"
Cons: "Was very late"
Cons: "The customer service agent was horribly rude. When asked her name, because she wasn't wearing a name tag, she said "Oh, you'd like my name? I'll be sure to write it down for you." I never ended up getting her name, but the way she treated me and my fiancé - as two customers that were very much over paying - was inappropriate and unprofessional. Never again will I fly RyanAir."
Pros: "Crew were polite."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 1 1/2 hours. There was no announcement that there was a delay or explanation.. The Priority boarding is very poorly organised . when we were finally let out onto the tarmac there was a mad scramble by the non priority customers to get to the plane although the one lady in charge did control things to a degree I might add that at Gatwick going to Belfast the Priority boarding was a joke. If you are going to make customers queue in the corridor please put a sign up outside to indicate the you dont't have to queue"
Cons: "We have never flown Ryan Air before and are not from Europe. We booked or flight one day prior to the flight and were shocked to show up at the airport and pay 90 euro to check in at the airport. This is simply a price gouge. I understand a small, nominal fee for this but not 90 euro! That is asinine. I will purposely avoid Ryan Air in the future as this leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
Cons: "I was told next time I have to be careful with my carry-on because I'd have to pay £50 otherwise. However, my carry-on is TSA approved, it has a lot of pockets so it may appear to be a bit bigger but I don't overstuff and I've had no issue getting my bag into the overhead bin. Granted, the officer was kind when she said it, but I also measured my bag and weighed it before my flight and I shouldn't feel there should be an issue with my bag. On my return flight I had souvenirs in my bag (meaning more in my SAME bag) and no one said a word about my carry-on."
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "It was uncomfortable It was late"
Cons: "Cramped seats did not recline; all drinks, including water, had to be paid for; plane did not have a jet bridge and passengers had to walk up and down stairs to embark and disembark. This airline takes No Frills to an entirely new level."
Pros: "The price was fantastic! the best around :)"
Cons: "There was no notification from cabin crew to advise us to ensure we collect our luggage BEFORE we go through the glass doors at Gatwick. We were expecting to show our passport and collect our luggage from the carrousel but didn't realise until after we went through the glass doors and had to wait over 40 mins for it to be brought to us. What was so astonishing- we were told we weren't the only ones this happened to. It would be very useful if cabin crew made the passengers aware of this to avoid it happening time after time with others/flights"
Pros: "Timings, the plane was fine for the short journey we had."
Cons: "The boarding process and difficulty in hearing the crew member as he had a very strong Eastern European accent"
Pros: "Gave 1 star for food & entertainment as didn't buy food and of course too short for entertainment Would fly again with Ryan Air if they didn't insist on a printer boarding pass, too difficult."
Cons: "Having to print out a boarding pass is almost impossible when travelling as no access to a printer. The check-in area at Dublin as poor signage as I needed to get my booking pass stamped & passports checked The seats didn't recline & because I am not tall the head rest curve pushes my head forward (on most planes) have gap behind neck so very uncomfortable only helped by reclining seat. Boarding messy as no seat order called hence isles blocked, most planes load back seats first keeping isles free, this plane had back & front stair gangways but weren't told."
Pros: "Price - boarding was good, especially considering plane was full."
Cons: "Punctuality - about 40 mins late both ways - I kinda factor that in now!!"
Pros: "The price was right. ...at least until I figured out that my checked bag cost twice as much as my airfares ticket!"
Cons: "I think maybe I should have flown on Aer Lingus instead. Next time I will do more research. Absolutely nothing is free on Ryan. The only free thing is your carry on bag. Food, drinks, prearranged seat assignment, etc. all cost money."
Pros: "Staff was nice and flight was efficient."
Cons: "A lot of hidden fees were frustrating and flight was cramped and felt like a sales pitch."
Pros: "The flight was relatively on time and fairly smooth."
Cons: "I don't like the fact that you have to pay extra for EVERYTHING! For a boarding pass, for any luggage (other than a small carry-on), for a seat assignment and for a cup of tea on the plane, The flight is relatively inexpensive, but you end up paying a lot of money for the"
Pros: "Ryan Air is the worst airline. They rip off unassuming people by exorbitant charges at the airport."
Cons: "The customer service is nonexistent and the companies policies ar designed to take advantage of customers."
Pros: ", bought a coffee & the male attendant told me how to use it . New filter lid"
Cons: "waiting to take off . Flight boarded early then we sat on plane . 12.50 flight & arrived just before 15.00."
Pros: "Cheap, quick, and safe flight."
Cons: "Because the tickets are so cheap, they try to get money out of you at every turn! They charged us $20 each to print our boarding passes at the airport (it wasn't enough to have them on our phones)! They make you pay to check a bag and you have to arrange it ahead of time (cannot ask to do it at the airport). They made a big fuss about the sizes of our bags and threatened to charge up to $55 per bag if they needed to check them at the gate! They have tiny compartments at the gate but our bags fit without any issues on the plane itself."
Cons: "It was way to small, no room. Rough take off and landing"
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "They will hit you for more money every chance they get. Checked baggage. Not printing boarding pass prior to getting to the airport."
Cons: "Everything, especially the employees"
Cons: "Checked our party (two adults and three kids with backpacks) of 5's hand luggage, letting most other single travelers get onboard with hand luggage. What is the point, if you choose not to travel with checked bags and at the gate they still check hand luggage?"
Pros: "We arrived to our destinations, and so did our bags. Good! And crew were all friendly."
Cons: "But this budget airline feels so in every sense. Boarding is from Tarmac, even coffee or tea costs checked bag, and weight limits are low, boarding is chaotic, no flight entertainment... By the time we paid for all our bags and did the whole dance of moving items from bag to bag to meet limits, we could have probably picked a better airline and had more comfort. They have a policy to charge for musical instruments, and even though there was space, on our return flight we were forced to check it, which we mostly try to avoid for safety of instrument...the way out no issue, the way back we got a stickler. Overall, for single travelers who don't care where you sit and just have a small bag, go for it. Trying to shoehorn a family of four plus instrument led to several up charges and annoying encounters at airport. I'll avoid next time."
