Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
"The plane had a delay of over one hour. We were boarded and until they fixed some technical error we were in the plane without air conditioning, in Catania with an outside temperature of 38 Celsius. So everyone can imagine that we were boiling in the airplane. 🙁"
Cons: "Gate was closed without putting a notice on the boarding."
Pros: "Very quick. Great service"
Pros: "Was cheap"
Cons: "No charge for carry on"
Pros: "Crew were very caring. What amazed me from a proposed flight of 1hr 20, was to and from Dublin a flight time of 50mins. Very good."
Cons: "Going with one airline and coming back with Ryanair meant I could only get my boarding pass 2days before flight, rather than the beginning of the whole trip. I tried 6x's on my mph to no avail, day before, got it on a desktop on last day."
Pros: "The desire to keep up with the schedule. impressive."
Cons: "Memmingen Airport does not call "Priority" card holders at the beginning of boarding passengers."
Pros: "The flight was all good and even though the flight was delayed, they did a quick turnaround and took off as quickly as possible."
Cons: "Why do Ryanair only release their return tickets two days before flying? If they released them at the same time as flying out then it would be easy to get printing facilities."
Pros: "On time basic transportation"
Cons: "I was a little confused about bags. My bag fit under the seat, it's a "small bag". A "cabin bag" is what I would call a carry on."
Pros: "flight efficient and smooth, thanks"
Cons: "My problem was not flight itself, but boarding from T2 in Charleroi (arrived too early and nearly no facility to eat and wait in a decenta way)."
Pros: "Flight crew was very professional."
Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable. Be wary of "checking in early" costs - you can navigate to not have those fees just takes time. "Hidden" fees were unexpected - overall fee was OK."
Cons: "The app wasn’t working to check in. We arrived to the airport 1.5 hrs early only for them to tell us that there would be a $56 charge for not checking in 2 hours ahead of time. This is absurd. Almost as much as our ticket to Mallorca. Not okay. They were so rude to us and I dont trust that they will do this again to us. It’s a scam in my opinion. Definitely read all of the fine print or they will rip you off. Oh! And we paid for PRIORITY boarding. Psh"
Pros: "Quick and efficient staff."
Cons: "Whole. Families split up , inc young children, one group of ten spread all round the plan. Just two of us me row 27 better half row 8 ! Only Jet 2 do this too to punish you for not paying to sit together."
Pros: "Delayed and had to have replacement plane"
Cons: "Delayed and had to have replacement plane"
Cons: "I came to the airport on 17:30 but The Checkin counter were open too late, after 1800. There was only 1 staff member in the counter. The lines were long and crouded . After we finished our check in and sent the luggage we went to the gate. There they realized that some of the printed bourding passes are not o k. The attendant in the counter did not checked it and sent us to the gate. We had to go back to the counter but the flight was closed already. We called the staff and after all we had to pay 100 euro to the counter to print the correct bourding passes and then to rush to the aircraft. If Ryan air put enough staff in the counters it wouldn’t happen. We almost miss the flight and it caused us a big inconvenous."
Cons: "Flights are always late."
Cons: "NOTHING. I will never fly with Ryanair again. On the way to Malaga only one toilet was working, on the way back to Leeds I was told I'd only paid for my luggage one way and had to pay another 50 euros go get it back to Leeds. There was no food or cold drinks on the flight and we were delayed by an hour and half which meant my partner who came to pick me up had to pay £27 for parking. Ridiculous! So no, never again."
Cons: "Very long wait for baggage pick up Overall it was adequate and safe"
Cons: "Very rude counter help. Long lines for non E U members"
Pros: "The crew were all friendly and welcoming"
Pros: "Crew very polite and took excellent care of my 83 year old mother"
Pros: "Clean and efficient with good staff."
Cons: "Why do I have to sit with other people whom have been purposely separated from their wives family & friends ? I know the answer because Ryanair have now adopted the Jet2’s system of ensuring although you book together you definitely won’t seat together! ( Unless you pay the premium to sit side by side as 99% of the worlds airlines do as a matter of course!)."
Pros: "Tickets were Cheap."
Cons: "The flight attendants weren’t friendly and had a bad attitude. They were not helpful at all."
Pros: "Flight on time no delays especially with the weather been bad"
Cons: "Only problem I would say they delay in baggage handling and on the wrong carousel"
Pros: "The flight was fine, comfortable and despite turbulence (which I actually enjoy) uneventful. We could see both experienced and new staff working effectively together 1 star for food and entertainment because we took part in neither"
Cons: "The incident when boarding could have been handled far better than experienced A passenger already on the plane mistook light shining through the vapour created by the wing De icing process and claimed the wing was on fire which lead to the plane being evacuated First issue was that all disembarking the plane had nowhere to go and were not given any instructions Secondly the return to the waiting lounge was not organised well leaving passengers roaming about the lounge and unsure what to do"
Pros: "Plane Good, Great Staff. food good (Bit Pricey)"
Cons: "Just wish it would have an onboard film on flip tvs like the good old days so passengers were not fiddling with tablets and phones, and maybe turn the cabin lights down so you can snooze a bit."
Pros: "the flight and the flight crew were quite good and professional."
Cons: "The way we were gathered up like sheep at the departure lounge. There was one person who acted like a mini hitler, scolding people if they dared to cross the line. An unpleasant experience."
Cons: "Late with no information given to passengers"
Pros: "It got me home"
Cons: "Boarding was slow, seats not together unless you pay, uncomfortable seats, park up in poor location meaning you have to go up and down steps. Not good with push chair"
Cons: "Check in, crowds, cramped seats"
Cons: "As ever with Ryanair, I resent paying almost as much for my suitcase to fly as for myself"
Pros: "Flew from Dublin to Leeds and then back a week later. It's only a 1 hour flight and the price was unbeatable. For a short jump like this, it was great, but I don't think I'd recommend Ryan Air for a long flight. Seats are cramped and uncomfortable and the whole experience is akin to a flying cattle car. But for a very short flight it was fine."
Cons: "Base price is great, but be forewarned! If you don't jump through all the Ryan Air hoops they will charge you dearly for every transgression of their many, many rules re: bag size, weight, check-in, boarding passes, etc. Screw up and there goes your bargain fair! We were careful, so it worked out fine for us."
Pros: "When we took off the plane stayed to hot"
Pros: "Very cheap ticket"
Cons: "Nothing really"
Cons: "There a bunch of cunts can't even seat you with the person you book the same flight with bs!"
Cons: "I thought the price from Madrid to Rome was really good. Just didnt realize you end up paying more than a regular flight price with all the luggage fees"
Cons: "This is the worst airline I have ever flown and I have been flying a long time. It was hot, cramped, both flights were late and they had us sitting on the plane. And, it really is not as cheap as it first appears with all the extra feeds."
Pros: "Too small of seats"
Cons: "Ran out of everything always."
Cons: "Had to pay 20 euros to get a boarding pass printed because we hadn't had access to a printer and hadn't downloaded the PDF file to our phone. The customer service was terrible, we had to rush to our flight, and the baggage lady gave me back the wrong passport. What a joke. I will never fly this airline again."
Pros: "I like the price!"
Pros: "flight was on-time; value for money good!; baggage drop-off well organized; I arrived alive"
Cons: "seats are not comfortable at all; old rusty wreck of an aircraft; security check personell poorly trained (did not find a 1.5 l bottle of water I accidentally carried !); hence, safety not provided !!! Ryanair won't value as a customer but rather as some necessity that needs to be carried"
Cons: "Traveling with children...a bit more support would have been appreciated"
Pros: "5 minute early arrival"
Cons: "We stood 10 minutes outside in the freezing cold before boarding."
Pros: "it was ontime"
Cons: "The airline does a poor job of letting you know their baggage limit and check in policy. Its nothing like any airline I have ever flown. In addition, they send you Greek emails with your VAT receipt. I went to their counter and they said an error had occurred because I had chosen English as my main language. The said emails in English will be sent. It never happened. I got a sense that they want to make it possible for you to collect your VAT."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "They let us buy coffee after checking with and they won't let you take it on the bus to go to your flight so they owe us $6"
Pros: "Flight left on time. Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Boarding was a bit not so good because we had to wait outside in the cold (and some rain). Food options were scarce (I wanted a croissant with my coffee and there were none left so in the end I ate nothing)."
Pros: "Friendly staff, arrived on time despite poor boarding protocol."
Cons: "Been invited to board, only to end up waiting in a freezing cold stairwell which lead outside, only to find that nobody from Ryan air had even been on the plane yet. The plane door had never been opened until 10 minutes after we had been waiting in the cold."
Pros: "Seating whilst waiting to board"
Cons: "On my flight from Leeds to Dublin the lack of seating whilst waiting to board"
