Eventually I sat down on the edge of a place and a stewardess snapped at me. I've had back surgery recently, so all of this was very difficult. Finally given a seat. No internet--big drawback on overseas flights. On our trip there, one bathroom was a mess, plus out of toilet paper. Told the stewardess, and they closed it for a while--took some time for it to be attended to. The entertainment choices are VERY slim--don't know why a more extensive list of choices could not be made available."

Both legs of the flight we had the people seated behind us kicking and shoving our seats. One gentleman was kicking my seat for a couple hours and made a scene on the outgoing flight. The stewardess addressed the gentleman and explained that I had to decline my seat because the seat in front of me was declined. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of me, so every time the gentleman kicked me, it not only hurt my back, but my knees. The couple behind us on the return flight jumped the line to get onto the flight, kept kicking our seats and then pretended they did not understand when we asked that they stop. I think the pilot should address the issue upfront so this toddler like behavior does not go on. I am not sure if it is common behavior, but not something I have experienced on an American carrier."

However, next day around 12 I got call from Front Desk that I have to leave my room right away because it's time to chack out and If I want to stay longer I have to pay. I called Virgin Atlantic agancy again and the agent run my information and said to me I can stayin the room longer. After that I called front desk to confirm that but they said they didn't hear anything from Virgin Atlantic and I have to leave the room by 1pm. All of this was really unpleasant!"

The extra 3" was great, and we had to pay more on the return trip. The FAA should be investigating seat size and safety on planes."

Check in was quicker for Economy passengers and it proved a challenge to work past the economy passengers during boarding to get to the premium agent."

No complimentary packet (eye shades, socks etc.) , not even a barf bag for collecting trash."

I loved that the pilot had a great sense of humor, he told a few funny jokes after we landed(while we were taxiing) it definitely helped make the time pass faster & I honestly think it put everyone in a good mood :) I have never been more satisfied with a flight. I will most definitely recommend WestJet to everyone I know, and will be my first choice for flying myself."

Pros: "Despite an ontime boarding, weather (thunderstorms) and air traffic congestion left us stuck on the tarmac for over 3 hours. Kudos to the captain for keeping us informed of every development and for taking the initiative to negotiate a southern flight plan routing that allowed us eventually to depart when other flights were being cancelled due to congestion in Heathrow airspace to the north. West Jet also put together a special team in Toronto to rebook passengers with connecting flights to later flights. This meant they had a new boarding pass ready and waiting for me by the time I got to Toronto, so the disruption was minimized."

Unfortunately, we ended up delayed on the tarmac for over 3 hours and they ran out of hot meals before they reached my seat row. I had to make do with crackers, cheese and fruit as my dinner. You have to fork in another 30$ for the privilege of checking luggage. WestJet pretends to offer 200-300$ cheaper plane tickets compared to the competition, but this is false. I found plenty of other flights for same or even cheaper prices with quality airline companies like Lufthansa or Air Canada that include a meal and checked baggage and other perks, but in my case I had already booked. I really recommending you looking for other airline companies for any flight that is not short haul. WestJet's slogan is an airline company with owner that care... Whatever the hell that means. Maybe someone can explain? WestJet brags about it's outstanding customer service while at the same time cutting every corner possible on service. Kind of a contradiction."

Cons: "Flying out on December 24, the airline kept us at the airport for 6 (including 2 hours on the plane) hours before cancelling the flight because they could not get water pressure to the washrooms. We were supposed to leave for London (LHR) at 8:35pm and were notified of the cancellation at approx 2am on December 25. The only other flight that would be available would be on December 25 at the same time the 24th flight was supposed to leave. The service desk was not taking any requests for finding or re-booking flights, we were supposed to call their support number at 7am on the following day. We were offered cab fare accommodation from and back to the airport. They offered hotel stay which I passed on. They provided $60 of airport food that could only be used at certain restaurants, not compatible to purchase chips or drinks (non-alcoholic) from other stores. The coupons as compared to Air Canada, which are valid for a year were only valid for 24 hours. In the end the only "monetary" compensation I got from WestJet was 250 westjet dollars that expire in 12 months."

While she was queuing for the 2no police officers to check her passport, an airport assistant came to the queue and asked who was due to board in TP364 to Heathrow. She was made aware that my girlfriend was there due to board that flight. In the meantime I made my way to the gate to make the gate assistants aware that she was held in the passport checks and was already on her way to the gate. Having said that, the zealous assistants in the gate have closed the gate in front of me, 18min before scheduled departure time and - "very kindly" - told me that I wouldn't be boarding that flight anymore even though my girlfriend have arrived in the meantime. One can imagine the frustration I felt finding out that the flight departure was delayed and that the flight actually departed 40min late. At that time I was already suffering the extortion of the customer service from TAP, claiming from me circa 400Eur from each of us for a one way ticket in the next flight to London. Therefore... until I remember this... I AM NOT FLYING TAP ANYMORE... I am very proud of being Portuguese but in similar situations that occurred with me flying British Airways, Lufthansa or Air Italia, I have always been treated with much more respect and customer care!"

For shorter trips TAP doesn't have as many amenities as other airlines, but on this trip the typical video screens with movies, music, etc. was available."

I noticed the other airline attendants seemed to be giving him a really hard time and weren't friendly at all. In fact, I rang a bell to ask for attendant help at one point and no one came to help. I was just a seat back from the area where the helpful airline attendant was available. I think that overall TAP flight staff could be a bit more open to being friendly. However, on the ground in Lisbon I've found the staff to be amazingly helpful."

Upon arrival at our destination with a child in hand, our stroller was not unloaded at the gate so we had to carry our child and all that travels with him to the baggage area. For anyone travelling internationally, you will know this is generally quite a distant from the gate in major airports. The strollers and car seats arrived in baggage 30 minutes after the main luggage. When staff were approached they were short and appeared very disinterested in helping. TAP failed on this flight home."

Specifically, the staff at the gate indicated that our flight would be delayed "intentionally" according to airline policy, to take advantage of favourable tailwinds to get the flight to YYZ on time. This explanation maked no sense, and was unfounded from a cursory Google search. When we finally boarded an hour later, the captain on the flight indicated that the plane was actually LATE arriving to YEG from a previous flight. I'm not expecting any specific reimbursement for the inconveniences to us or our family picking us up, but we and other customers should NEVER be decieved. If the flight is late, tell us, and indicate whether connecting flights (for those that have them) will be withheld or not or to make appropriate arrangements if otherwise not possible."

Seems like that should be standard on a long haul flight. The seats are very narrow with poor back support, and my back started to hurt 5 hours in. Many people were standing in the aisles as it was so uncomfortable. I was very cold throughout the flight, which was another uncomfortable aspect. One of the bathrooms was out of order which resulted in everyone using the same one - you can imagine how smelly and messy it got."

No information was given by the ground staff either, just told to drop your checked bag off and get to the gate and hope the flight was still there. Would have been a lot less stressful if someone had said "don't worry, the Toronto flight is waiting for you""

Pros: "Good variety of food and snacks-and free! Long flight with good leg room. Only issue was strike that was taking place that prevented us from disembarking immediately."

Pros: "We paid extra for the options plus on this flight, which meant that we were able to choose our seats, we were given snacks, bottles of wine with our meal, blankets, pillows, face masks and headphones. Everyone else had to pay for these items on flight (if they wanted them). As a result we felt like royalty."
Cons: "Unfortunately you can never escape the family with the screaming baby..."

Pros: "Very helpful to families with small kids. On our flight to Europe which wasn't too busy, they even left middle seats free so my kids could sleep whole night. Smooth landing. No significant delays. Good price for family vacation to Europe that includes checked bag, and meals during flight. They nickel and dime on other stuff but if you prepare yourself (bring extra clothes or a blanket, own headphones) you'd be fine. Considering how much I saved by driving to Toronto to take their flight instead of flying from Cleveland (US$3500 for the family of 4) I am super happy with what I got for my money."
Cons: "Limited entertainment selection. No mileage program Bathrooms could be bit cleaner, but still ok"

Pros: "* Smooth flight. * On time DEP and ARR."
Cons: "* Not able to check in on line due to Kayak was provider. * Too much time spent on pushing the duty free goods. * Felt like the trolley came down more times than food or drink. * Long line to check in. * Wasn't able to use entertainment App even though I had pre-loaded the App. It asked for my confirmation number but I didn't have one because of the Kayak booking. With other airline, flight attendant was able to over ride. This time flight attendant said she couldn't do it. I felt she really didn't care."

Pros: "They gave us water when we had to wait an hour before take off. It was not their fault we were delayed. They did wait for the 30 of us who were delayed from Lyon and did not take off without us."
Cons: "They did not answer my call (s) for water to take a pill. They never offered anyone earphones. There were no services at all on this flight as the seat belt sign was on the whole time."

Pros: "I upgraded. What a difference!! First time travelling by Air Transat but hopefully not my last!! Great experience from start to finish."
Cons: "No complaints. Everything was great! Wish we could give more than 5 stars to some of the categories. The crew were amazing!!"

Pros: "Comfortable seating, good entertainment selection available and drink provided on short flight."
Cons: "Delay and disorganization at airport left passengers frustrated with at least 3 changes to gate prior to departure. Added to this was the incorrect announcement on P.A. System at 6:55pm a change of gate to leave at original time (7pm), only to have a stampede of passengers arrive at newly assigned gate to have no airline representative there and soon a new/revised departure time of 21:05 instead. Hopefully, those clients with international connections were able to make it, but I suspect that several had their plans changed with this > 2 hour delay."

Pros: "Great crew, very attentive. Food much better than expected on any airline these days."
Cons: "Boarding in Venice was a disaster. NO FAULT of Air Transat's! This was complete incompetence in Venice with shuttle busses. The on board entertainment on this particular type of Airbus is antiquated. Also NONE of tour Android devices could make the downloadable entertainment app work. It always crashed on starting a movie or show."

Pros: "20min early and excellent crew"
Cons: "Wifi entertainment went offline 30mins and and never restored. So no movies"

Pros: "The flight was not full so I had lots of extra space. Really great value for the plane ticket price."
Cons: "The emergency exit seats were very slimmer than other airplanes. There was a lot of leg room, but at the waist it felt like someone was holding me. (36 inch waist, male). Overall not bad."

Pros: "Crew were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed that the plan was not full and you had room to move."

Pros: "The crew was professional and helpful."
Cons: "Flight was delayed about 2.5 hours. They ran out of vegetarian meals before getting around to all passengers with the meal cart, only to have tons of extra meat-based meals they were trying to give away afterward. Very little space for an international flight as well."

Pros: "Good leg room, comfortable seats, altogether a pleasing experience"
Cons: "The food was poor, so we didn't bother, but given the price of the tickets we couldn't complain"

Cons: "Bathrooms had no water, for toilet flushing or washing your hands. They knew before they took off. Wouldn't give us bottles of water to wash our hands with, could only use their squirt bottled of hand sanitizer. When I asked why they couldn't just give us water bottled, they told me they could only bring enough water to drink. The flight was half empty."

Pros: "Variety of things to keep you entertained."
Cons: "I found the crew un helpful with basic needs and with problematic situation onboard. And frankly rude."

Pros: "Plane was clean and entertainment system was decent"
Cons: "No frills, everything is extra charge, feel like you are being nickel and dimes over "free" snacks with coffee even ... tendency to up-sell you on things"

Pros: "Staff was nice and attentive. Service was also excellent."
