Pros: "Qatar Airways are still flying, in the midst of Coronavirus, unlike their competitors. This is fantastic! Onboard, there was a full service and excellent crew, all through the night, unlike their competitors during the early days of Coronavirus, when I last flew. Thank you. Qatar Airways"
Cons: "The movie selection, although vast, was not great. I resorted to downloaded Netflix on my tablet."
Pros: "The crew, Venyat looking after my aisle was exemplary. He kept note of when I was asleep when the service passed through. Whenever I go to the galley, he would notice and asked if I needed anything. And this is in Economy!"
Cons: "On the A350, the seat doesn't recline much. It was quite uncomfortable."
Pros: "The service as usual on Qatar is excellent"
Cons: "2-2-2 setup is old style for business class and while the seats were nice it means either you are stuck by the window or need to move to let others out in the aisle"
Pros: "All crews are helpful especially to parents traveling with young kid."
Cons: "More variety of food would be great"
Pros: "Very efficient and comfortable flight."
Cons: "The airline appears to have done away with the courtesy pack, and this was the one time I was travelling without ear plugs!"
Pros: "Good Service.Efficient"
Cons: "No Phone charging facilities on back of the seat unlike other Qatar aircraft."
Pros: "The Crew was amazing. The Seat were the best Selling point fort business class"
Cons: "More space for the arm rest ans legs space"
Pros: "The airlines' film library offers plenty of movies to watch."
Cons: "I had an aisle seat. The crew pushed the service carts in the gangway and hit me a couple of times, and I was very much annoyed because I was waken up while asleep."
Pros: "Good service/Crew food quality and choice good."
Cons: "Need more choice of British TV Programmes rather than American"
Pros: "Everything....The service, the food, the in-flight entertainment(so many films to chose from) the flight attendants were brilliant, the flight was smooth it went by so fast as though time didn't exist.I recommend Qatar Airways to everybody."
Cons: "Can't find any fault...Sorry!"
Pros: "Crew was very accommodating of my needs."
Cons: "The flight left 2 hours late. This is a problem in the bigger picture of air travel. The process of boarding, the service, and actions of the crew were all great."
Pros: "Seats and crew are the best"
Cons: "Flight time, also business class was almost empty, if I received an email I would have bet for upgrade"
Pros: "Crew was friendly, flight was relatively empty so comfortable."
Cons: "The flight was delayed two hours... three and a half separate times. Finally left around 7 hours late."
Pros: "Crew were super friendly; food was very good - had trouble choosing options. This was in reference to business class."
Cons: "We were on a 757, flying business class. Is not a proper flat bed option; and being 6’4” struggled on finding a position in which I could sleep in."
Cons: "There was no personal entertainment system nor USB port for charging."
Cons: "Luggage didn’t arrive and it will arrive tomorrow or next day Horrible experience, flight was delayed one hour but they promised my luggage would arrive.Shame on them"
Pros: "Flight was punctual. While the crew did their job, they didn't seem as friendly as usual with Air Astana."
Cons: "The Boeing 757 is a narrow cramped aircraft for such along flight. It would be good to have an aircraft with not so narrow seats, such as the A320 or A321 or B767 on longer routes. No boarding announcement at Almaty - they just opened the door and you had to "know" that it was time to board."
Pros: "The chairs were comfortable and the Chicken dish was delicious."
Cons: "Boarding the plane was hectic and unorganized."
Pros: "The crew was super friendly and the plane itself was nice, but the seats were uncomfortable and there was no inflight entertainment."
Pros: "Last half hour was through storms. I doubted we would be able to land. Not only did we land, but it was one of the smoothest set-downs I have experienced. These guys/gals know how to fly in winds."
Cons: "Absolutely full place, slow boarding."
Pros: "The crew was nice"
Cons: "We were boarding later than expected Which caused some stress with connection flight"
Pros: "One crew member servicing first class was in a mood “not to be here” - it is sad because of first class experience is higher than usual! It was just bad!"
Cons: "I honestly don’t have an answer for this, I guess these kind of crew should not on board especially in first class!"
Pros: "It was on one of their newer planes which meant that we had decent comfort and entertainment!"
Cons: "The seats were staggered between the middle and sides, so my family was eventually split across two rows. I hadn't expected that."
Pros: "All good, especiallly cabin crew who appear to actually enjoy their jobs and interacting with passenger (unlike some supposedly premium carriers)."
Cons: "All good, especiallly cabin crew who appear to actually enjoy their jobs and interacting with passenger (unlike some supposedly premium carriers)."
Pros: "Flew on new A350, liked the seat TV, live map/camera. Good selection of entertainment."
Cons: "Website is very poor and ended up making booking through call centre and paying double what website was offering. Food & drink is expensive. In flight wi-fi expensive."
Pros: "Far better quality and value than BA, it's OneWorld partner."
Cons: "It was all good."
Pros: "We were kept informed about the delay"
Cons: "Has to wait 14 hours in Helsinki for a 25 minute connecting flight"
Pros: "The staff were thoughtful and kind. They checked on us and offered snacks and water very regularly. My favorite, though, was that the captain took the time to alert us to the sights out the window. We had closed the shades at the request of the attendants and would have missed the beauty of Greenland had he not alerted us to peak out. I appreciate that!"
Cons: "Whoever designed and built this airplane should literally be INDICTED - AND I AM NOT KIDDING! We were in disbelief the moment we boarded and saw the airplane. 10 people across jammed into the row??!! - and on an long international flight?? - are you kidding??!! Further, these were the SMALLEST seats I have EVER been forced to sit in. Neither I, or my friend came close to fitting. We literally had to alternate getting up and standing because we were literally overlapping each other when we sat! (His shoulder and arm were literally on top of me!!). It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"
Pros: "This flight was co-shared by British airways. After our horrible flight from San Diego to London, we decided to upgrade our returning flight from London to San Diego to a economy plus premier. This time the plane seems newer and recently refurbished. The seat can recline more, with lump bar support and nice foot/leg rest. It has a bit more legroom. The cabin is nice and new with large view touchscreen TV for each seat. Gluten free meal was good, I'm just glad they finally boarded the plane with my GF meal (after repeated unsuccessful attempts). The service was great, our BA attendants were polite and attentive."
The boarding at Heathrow is chaotic. That's partly due to the lack of space and seating at gate 8, and a Qatar flight from gate 9 at the same time. That's down to Heathrow rather than Gulf Air. I've had a similar experience here before. Another problem which isn't specific to Gulf Air or Heathrow is announcements, and those for boarding in particular. They are difficult to hear with all the other noise and for me with hearing problems it's even worse. A simple tv screen would help, so long as it's updated of course.
This itineray had to be cancelled as the connection time in Paris was only 55 min which is below the 90 min required by Paris airport. Nether Chat deal/Kayak, nor Gulf air nor American Air picked on that. I called American Air for unrelated question was then told that boarding would be denied due to the short connection time. This should have been an automatic notification from Chat deal/ Kayak or Gulf air and itinery cancelled. What is the point of inconveniencing the passenger?? The return has still not be refunded. Shame on Gulf Air, very poor customer service for an airline that has so good flight crew!
New aircraft, new and modern. Crew could be a little more smiling.
Pros: "The ground staff from the help desk was helpful enough"
Cons: "I could have been rebooked a flight without having to pay for it. Who wants to lost his or her passport? It was very inconvenient and stressful for me, at least free rebooking would have ease my situation."
Pros: "I' not sure which flight this relates to. I've taken economy and business class and clearly the business class is better but economy is fine. The crew were good in both classes and whilst the food in business was better I didn't have a problem in economy either."
Cons: "Check in was fine and very friendly but boarding could be better particularly in business. At Heathrow it was a bit chaotic as all classes seemed to be mixed up so it was difficult for priority passengers such as disabled to get through everyone crowded up to the desks and the same applied for business class as well. The IFE wasn't too bad but it could be better. Bahrain airport is a mess and the boarding gates seem to be more like corridors with seats in them so it's difficult again when they call for business class passengers as unless you are already at the front you have to try to work your way through. I believe the airport is being rebuilt. If so then things will probably improve. I'm not sure why there needs to be 2 security checks within a few yards of each other when transiting between flights. they don't have this problem in Doha."
Pros: "Crew was good"
Cons: "Everything worked well, the boarding, on time flight, flight was smooth and landed 15 mins before time."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Economy sets are too tight and cramped. Cup holder was good for nothing, i tried to put my soft drink bottle in it and it slipped right out the bottom and when I tried to put a cup of water in it supplied by the crew it wouldn't fit! When I reclined my seat to sleep the passenger behind me pushed my seat hard back to upright position. When I turned around to ask why the rude response I realized that he was a tall fellow and his knees were already touching the back of my seat so when I reclined it, it hurt him and he had no where to move his legs. I couldn't do or say much as I understood his misery and therefore kept my seat up the whole way for 5 hours! The flight was full and neither of us could relocate to another seat."
Pros: "Customer service of vayama they did our request by providing wheelchair for my mother and flight was superb for Gulf air"
Cons: "Lovely new Dreamliners. Best TV screen but poor content/choice of shows. Rest good."
Pros: "Trip from Bangkok to Bahrain flight was so good - service perfect - crew wonderful"
Reduced cost for children to lounge Children’s area in airport Non spicy snacks Option of children’s meals Good films More children’s games and 2 player games Ran out of vegetarian meals
Pros: "That it was a direct flight"
Cons: "Turn on A/C of plane upon boarding (it is the only airline where the A/C is turned on after the aircraft detaches from gate, even budget airlines in have A/C on when boarding) Improve entertainment (more movies / better selection up to date) Increase seating space Improve food options and quality"
Pros: "Entertainment"
Cons: "Lost my checkedin baggage. Missed my connection flight from Muscat due to delay in arrival from Istanbul"
Cons: "No separate boarding line for business class passengers; Staff was clueless in muscat airport and theee was no priority boarding for business class passengers"
Pros: "in flight entertainment was really good"
Cons: "checkin luggage was terrible with more than half an hour wait although web checkin was already made"
Pros: "Impossible to enjoy a flight you didn't choose and were forced to fly on due to a schedule change, especially when the flights you'd booked had much better timing for a fixed teacher's holiday schedule. Avoid Oman Air unless you are sadistic and enjoy forced flight changes and no compensation. As I was forced to change to a flight to one arriving at 03.10 with my work starting at 06.00, I tried (and failed due to a lack of space and fidgety neighbour) to sleep all the flight to be fresh and professional for my work. The booked flight which was forcibly cancelled got me home 9pm the night before work. Oman Air refused a suggestion to upgrade me to business class so I could try and sleep."
Cons: "I am a teacher. I can't choose my holiday times. I get three fixed weeks in summer. In both 2017 + 2018 Oman Air changed their schedule forcing me to change my flights. I was out of pocket for a small amount - they refused to pay the $27.60. I was to arrive home at 9pm for an 06.00 start to work they changed my flight so I arrived at 04.00. I asked for an upgrade to business class to try and sleep. They ignored the request. They instead sent me a copy of the small print saying that they were allowed to change anyone's flights and give zero compensation if the 'client' is informed two weeks in advance. I will avoid Oman Air from now on, even if they seem to offer the best times to fly."
Cons: "the QTY of food not enough. Chiken and fish dise was left too fast."
Pros: "Nithing"
Cons: "In Oman airs home airport there was no service desk. When the flight was delayed the sent 1 agent do deal with a full glitch’s worth of guests. Even though the delay was over 6 hours they gave no compensation besides lounge access to a lounge that is not fully functional. The next morning (yes the delay was overnight and they didn’t provide a hotel room) they called us all to the gate only to tell us they still were waiting for the plane to be repaired (the night before they’d Told us the flight would be in time as they’d flown another plane in). Again there was only one Oman air agent and just normal airport staff to handle the full flight. People were yelling and there was a lot of anger but no official announcements were ever made and only rumors passed from those who actually had a chance to talk to the on me guy. Finally when i arrived in Bangkok it seemed like they had there act together as there were many agents on the gangway to assist people to find connecting flights. Being so late there was only on flight for me and several others trying to get to Phuket. An agent took us to immigration and told us all he’d meet us in the other side to take us to the check in. HE DIDN’T SHOW UP. We couldn’t go back in the airport to find him or anyone from Oman air and were left to find an airport employee who graciously helped us find the booking office and just make the flight. I fly internationally regularly and this was by far the worst airline experience I’ve ever had or even heard about."
Cons: "Problems with our extra legroom being allocated at the check in desk as oman employ a 3rd party called option town to handle this process. Numerous broken tv screens on the aircraft preventing passengers from watching tv. Losing our baggage for over 2 days. Creaking tv screens prevent passengers from sleeping. Leaking emergency exits that cover passengers in condensation."
Pros: "Oman Business lounges good in Bkk also"
Cons: "Seats in business were ok but do not offer the position options that most airlines offer in Business."
