About Covid. The thing is that you cannot submit it unless you as a passenger fill out an Austrian address. The electronic form does not have the option to rule out staying in Austria and indicating that you are transiting in Vienna. I had to fill that form out (at the Address in Austria section) with sentences like “not applicable” “transitting” and also had to google the Vienna Airport address for the zip code so it could be submitted. The form forced me to fool the it. Not cool. Frustrating."

The entertaining things on the individual screens also helped make the long periods of sitting more manageable for young and old."

So, I can't rate this flight because it had nothing to do with Austrian Airlines. You need to update your site so that it clearly states "Operated by..." when people are booking."

Cons: "My row was bypassed a couple of times for food/beverage service even though we were wide awake and looking expectantly at the flight attendant. Sometimes she asked me if I wanted a drink or something and as I was answering she looked away and moved on. I couldn't believe it. Then after pressing the service button and waiting a long time for her to return, she acted like it was a huge inconvenience."

Choices of dinner selections ran out quickly, and serving any type of curry (the only option left) on an 8 hour flight is a very questionable choice.... Staff gave some people the full can of drinks, while others only a half glass. Also, even though there was not much turbulence throughout the flight, the plane was still VERY shaky for the majority of the time in the air. Not very comforting for those who are not frequent flyers. In the future, I plan to stick with British Airlines."

We thought the selection of movies to watch were terrific. So glad to have caught up on several I had wanted to see. Considering we had a 3 hour delay, I got to catch up on ALL the movies I wanted to watch!"
Cons: "The plane was delayed just over 3 hours by a mechanical problem with the radar. We taxied to a remote gate while they tried to fix it. Original estimates were an hour, but it ended up being 3 hours. We stayed onboard which was probably best in this case - but having been trapped by United on a flight many years ago from 4 pm until midnight with 3 small children and then told to come back at 7 am the next day - I am very wary of the airline now and actually drive from Washington to Chicago as we could have done that in the time they trapped us! This flight was practically empty however, so unlike many transatlantic flights, we could spread out and were more comfortable than usual. So that was lucky for United otherwise my scores might have been a LOT worse! Also, we hadn't eaten, figuring that we would eat dinner on the flight. So after 3 hours we were a bit peckish! The crew came around with a cookie and water. Really think that might have been a little more especially considering the flight had so few passengers. So we arrived back in DC just about 10 pm and, after clearing customs and getting bags, were home to Arlington about midnight - 5 am our time! Given the conditions and circumstances, the crew did a good job. I would like to think that Austrian Airlines would have some input with United. The outbound daytime flight from Washington to London had been simply terrific with a wonderful crew - new to the route I think. They gave as pointers as to what we were seeing out the window, which we always appreciate. Just as my daughter wondered what we were seeing out the window, the captain would tell us. So in short, the outbound flight was in a different league to the return flight. But that's down to United and not Austrian Airlines. And these things happen and I'm glad we didn't have to change planes or make other plans."

Pros: "The crew was sufficient and polite. Seats are average. Food was extremely limited. Underwhelmed but, frankly, exhausted with the process of trying to get out."
Cons: "Communication of flight departure time was not provided causing us to miss our flight and requiring over 2 hours on a cell call to Bangladesh to book a 24 hr delay which was further confused by computer glitches. Poor customer service at the flight checkin desk in Kathmandu who are, apparently, limited in what they can assist with."

Pros: "The most impressive service found was the baggage arrival on time despite the short transient time in Abu Dhabi. In most airline this would be missed and will arrive the next flight."

Pros: "I flew economy Melbourne > Abu Dhabi and then Abu Dhabi to Melbourne. The first leg of the flight was great, the flight wasn’t full and I had a whole row to myself. The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious."
Cons: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

Pros: "The flight was not full. . I had 3 seats to myself. So very comfortable and the crew had plenty of time to give individual attention . The flight was very punctual. Arrived 20.minutes early ."

Cons: "The seats were minuscule...the depth was narrower than when Id previously used different airlines. The space between rows was also compromised. I think that the Dreamliner is even more streamlined with less space so they can put more passengers on! The toilet kept flushing when seated on it! The food was repetitive - ordered Asian Veg and got almost the same food for 3 meals. The dessert was exactly the same 1 piece of melon and 2 cubes pineapple. The male crew member did not want to be there. He grunted at the passengers. He was annoyed and when clearing food trays dropped it and aI wore custard all over me and the armrest of my seat. Fortunately I had a blanket covering me so it all landed on that. He was more upset that it also splattered him."

Pros: "Used their larger A380 plane Good boarding and inflight service"

Pros: "The flight attendants were mostly attentive to my needs not like a larger carrier. They were also very attractive . The boarding process was not all that bad and they waited for a flight that was coming in late verses just leaving the people stranded that was good as well."
Cons: "I ended up with a center center seat squished in like sardines. There was little to no comfort. Next time I'll pay for a upgraded seat or just fly another airlines. I'll probably never fly this airlines economy again."

Cons: "I checked in 10 hours early for my flight and no one told me that I was bumped out of my flight because they were overbooked until one hour before takeoff. Then a gate attendant had the nerve to ask me if I was Vip. When I said no, she said she couldn’t help me and I had to wait for the next flight which was the next day. When I complained to a manager, they let me through security to get on standby for the flight and I was the last one to get on the flight. Their service is awful!!"

Cons: "I have checked my baggage allowance for this trip when I first paid and it was 2 checked in bags. However, I had to pay additional 185 Euros for adding my second checked in bag."

Pros: "I didnt have to catch a bus to board like how we did at Abu Dhabi"
Cons: "The boarding was done the most confusing way. Back to front when there were zones on each boarding pass"

Cons: "Being charged for extra weight when it use to be that weight .. I had no hand luggage and I noticed some people having three bags .. where's the justification in that"

Cons: "Etihad has gone downhill over the past few years and please consider this carrier as your last option for travel. They are simply not worth the money you save, considering the pain they make you sit through. Extremely poor service from the staff and they offer little to no option to you if the flight gets cancelled. They were not willing to accommodate my request to reroute to a new destination (which actually is cheaper than my original destination) as i was about to miss my consular appointment due to the flight cancellation and this was the only way I could make it. They outright said it's not possible, didn't even check if the flight to the new destination has availability or not. The staff especially at Heathrow is a joke, don't even bother reasoning with them."

Cons: "The crew was standoffish and disengaged. This is on a buisiness class ticket where I paid $8000 for two tickets."

Cons: "Though happy there was kids meal provided seeing pasta in all 3 meals not very appetizing. Sweet side dish were mediocre at best. There were no snack available or provided for kids except the meal box. When requested milk for my kid some milk from flask was given which I was not comfortable giving to my son.. there were other issues but my sons comfort was the most Concerning"

Pros: "Unfortunately our flight from London to Abu Dhabi was delayed and we missed our connection through to Melbourne. However because of the way they hsndled this the delay turned out to be a blessing! Etihad put us up for the 12hour daytime delay in the magnificent Marriot Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The communication and transfer were handled very well. It was a painless process and we got to enjoy a lovely rest before being transferred back to the airport and flying home. Pretty much a faultless experience and one that would see me fly Etihad again without hesitation."
Cons: "Whilst the food at the hotel was amazing, the same cannot be said for the plane! The food was very ordinary. The chicken pie was barely edible. In terms of seating, the seats are pretty standard long-haul fare. There is limited room but the issue is cushioning. They feel pretty hard and it was difficult to be comfortable."

Asked for an extra bun for my 3 year old I was said will come back after the round but again no one came .. Never experienced this with any other flight .. Boarding also with kids was a little difficult when going by bus to the aircraft .. No priorities .. Only pushing .."
