Cons: "We arrived at the airport over 90 minutes before our flight and were never warned we’d be charged a hefty fee if we didn’t check in ahead of time. We did try to check in prior, but there was an error in my confirmation code and it didn’t work. They told us we couldn’t get on our flight, then charged us $487 euros to take a different flight and required us to check all our bags! A total scam and they were extremely rude!!"
Cons: "Flights are always late."
Pros: "Enjoyed the lasagna that I ordered, surprisingly good!"
Cons: "Under the circumstances, the staff coped well with certain difficult passengers. Noisy passengers are my pet hate especially when the safety drill is being read out."
Pros: "We made the flight which was a miracle. Ryan air staff were outstanding in helping"
Pros: "What’s there to like?"
Cons: "One of our ticket holders had to have back surgery due to herniated disks and was/is unable to travel. Ryan Air allows for refund requests but does not give refunds! We are unable to get any of the money back and not able to use the tickets. United Airlines on the other hand gave you s a full refund."
Cons: "Notification of flight cancellation even though the flight departed on twitter. Flight should have been cancelled as no transport links to Dublin Airport due to adverse weather."
Pros: "The crew and the pilots were very nice!!"
Cons: "The sitting politics, and the selling system."
Pros: "it was cheap stuff was good"
Cons: "i booked my ticket from 5 december 2017 to 10 january 2018 by mistake. it was suppose to be from 5 dec 17 to 10 dec 17. i called the customer service to change it . she said that there will be a fee applied and i was okay with it . but she give me the return ticket on 7th dec 2017 instead of 10.. i called them back to rectify the error.. they couldnt help me and i didnt accept the proposal in my email. i went to tenerif and had to booked another seperate ticket on 10 dec from there to get back. !!"
Pros: "Late incoming aircraft. Delayed boarding as we were told that there was a wait for an assistant to facilitate the boarding of a passenger using a wheelchair."
Cons: "1. Flight expensive....and ontop you pay 40€ for 20kg 2. Flight was at 13:35, when booking online, it says u can check in online 2 hrs before flight. If u dont you pay 50€ fee to checkin at airport ( absolutely rediculous to start with!!!!!) However, i tried to checkin online at 09:40 and payed for my suitcase, once i payed for my case, not only it didnt send me confirmation of payment or receipt, it asked for my passport details and date of birth which i entered... and then it told me the flight has already departed and wouldnt let me checkin. after 4 attempts trying.... my father called ryanair to ask for advise on what to do with this situation, and was told that we can checkin at the airport. We go to Pafos airport, where staff of ryanair at checkin were extremely rude.... and after explaining the situation... told us we must pay €50 to check in and get on my flight... told us to go to the other side of the airport to pay. We tried to explain the situation to another extreeeemely rude member of staff called Evi... who says she needs proof that i couldnt check in... so i showed her the emails i had received from ryanair.... and she said she could see it on her screen that i was in the ryanair site... but said she needed a print screen to prove it.... how pathetic!!! Then when questioning why emails from ryanair were not sufficient proof she said she is just doing her job and she doesnt care because she doesnt work for ryanair. Ironicaly told us to pay and have a nice day. We paid. And will make a huge complaint... and advertise how pathetic this airline is... not only the rules, they even ignore their own rules, as they have the rudest staff both ground and on board im sure they need the extra money to understandably employ better staff or maybe get better planes... or hopefully follow monarch so bad airlines get out and leave the good ones to do their job professionally. The way they service ob is another story. Staff look exhausted... unmotivated and very unhappy. I work for the crewing dept of an international shipping company... where we arrange travel for officers and crew hourly 24/7 , 365 days a year.....and will make sure that under no circumstances do we use ryanair as it will reflect badly on our company. I paid €250.00 for the ticket + €40.00 20kg + €50.00 because they wouldnt let me check in. = €340.00 €340.00 i could have gone with a better airline... had a happier flight.... not feel ripped off...and not been spoken to so rudely. I never complain. But this experience was continuously awful. And i will make sure this is expressed world wide. Cheating people is unacceptable. If i was late to try check in, or i did something wrong, or i was rude, or if the flight cost was rediculously low. i would understand.. but i paid good money for a ticket, too much money for a 14kg bag and ontop extra for the fault of the airlines webpage & acepted attitude!!Lesson learned!! For sure they will lose alot more than 1 customer!!!!"
Cons: "All along the way Ryan air was a disaster. The only thing positive to say is that we arrived at our destination alive and reasonably on time.the lead up with the computer games they played with me and my money put them right down at the bottom regarding service and expectations ."
Cons: "Problems: 1. very difficult to understand what was and was not included in the price of the ticket when purchased. Basically, later I found, it was a $50 ticket for the price of $90 because I had to pay for a checked bag, about $40 per person. Rediculous! 2. The next surprise came when I tried to check-in early while on vacation, for my flight to Athens. Apparently another $50 if we didn't check-in early (before the airport). My computer wasn't working on the website for some reason, so I was stressed. Fortunately able to check-in using my husband's computer. But then I was stressed because we couldn't print-out the tickets and I thought that they would charge us another arm-and-leg. They didn't, but the poor couple next to us in line had to pay the $50 extra per person for not checking in early - Rediculous! 3. There were about 5 long lines to go thru for check-in, basically showing/reshowing passports...it took forever! And so crowded. Rediculous! I will NEVER fly RyanAir"
Pros: "Actual plan ride was smooth."
Cons: "They nickel and dime you. If that's their business model, fine, but clearly state what fees are charged and outline how they can be avoided. My story is.... none of the "check in online" emails/reminders nor the actual check in process clearly outlines how to retrieve your boarding pass. We arrived at the airport and they made us pay €37 per boarding pass!!!!! Turns out you have to download an app to retrieve an electronic pass. Well, we didn't know that, and since we were in a foreign country whose airport had no WIFI, we couldn't download the app. We were traveling with friends who had carry on luggages. The carry on luggages were deemed carry on to our destination. When traveling back home, they were no longer deemed carry on and my friends were charged €60 per carry on bag. Ridiculous. In summary between check bag fees and boarding passes we paid triple the amount of th airfare."
Pros: "Very good price for flight. Dont need to pay foe seats if you dont want to and can avoid baggage fees with carryon. Staff very friendly. Short and sweet flight."
Cons: "Asked for boarding pass again at plane door after we had gone through the gate check. Unnecessary step that slowed the boarding process at the plane staircase."
Cons: "low cost feel"
Cons: "there was a strike at the airport for security and we made it to the gate as they closed the doors and they wouldn't let us on the plane or refund our tickets"
Cons: "The plane didn't arrive so we couldn't take off. Our flight was delayed more than 1 hour."
Cons: "delayed staff could not speak french and barely english very noisy staff - stressed and not at all calm"
Cons: "Allocation of seats saw my wife in 5c and myself in 31d. 31e was vacant."
Pros: "Fast boarding and deplaning. Organized luggage stowage. Friendly crew."
Cons: "The legroom has gotten to be a joke. What's next? The honey-comb? If you can't have pockets on the back of the seat, it's gone too far."
Pros: "They did get me there is one piece..."
Cons: "By the time you get what you need, it's cheaper to just book a "real" flight, where you don't get extra bills for every item, such as having to pay over 50+ Euros for luggage and carry-on, not to mention 15 Euros for a boarding card. I understand it makes it cheaper to print it ourselves, but I don't have access to a printer while on vacations. 5 Euros might be understandable, but 15 is abuse. Plain and Simple. My first and last RyanAir experience."
Pros: "Not much after having to pay 200 extra euros"
Cons: "We had to pay the normal check in fee (50 euros per person), this one was on me, since I didn't pay enough attention, I don't get why it has to be 50 per person though. We also got to pay 100 euros for our luggage (two carry on bags that had no issue in other airlines). To our surprise, the bags didn't fit in the metal cage they use to size baggage. We ended up paying since we had to fly but then when we were boarding we saw other passengers with the same bag size as ours, so this was really upsetting."
Pros: "Ryain sir charge me 50 ponds to check in. Craze."
Cons: "will not do it again."
Pros: "* the fast track really works. gained like 20-30 minutes. but that's with any airline if you take off from ciampino airport in rome. * the priority works ok as well. huge plus. but you are a target of "oversize" luggage. see my other comments. * seat reservation also works as advertised. although you might get away just fine with them assigning you a seat. those little planes fill up pretty quick so it's a good idea you get those add-ons to your ticket. they do add up to your ticket though."
Cons: "* carry-on luggage. they mean a small backpack or super small carry-on like the ones kids use. if it's regular airline carry-on regardless of weight, they charge you €50 on the spot. then you allowed to take it on board with you. pay up or take another plane. not even obi wan kenobi could get away with it. "this is not the carry-on you are looking for" -(crickets) cash or credit card sir?" * i saw others with the same carry-on i have and they didn't get charged. some others did just like me. * the planes are just shuttles. imagine a mini van with wings with no reclinable seats. * stick to alitalia or any other well known airline. it's a __lot__ cheaper overall and better service/quality"
Cons: "Staff how it's possible u miss the flight to the front to the gate"
Pros: "I chose Ryanair because of their 10kg cabin baggage allowance. They've really improved from my past (and after that I swore I'd never use them again) experience. Really slick."
Cons: "Constant trying to sell you extras."
Cons: "The process of checking in online was very misleading. While checking in online, their website continuously glitched. It would jump back a page, add products that I did not want (such as early boarding) without me selecting those products, etc. Finally after quite some time, I was able to check out only with the products I actually wanted (luggage fees). I received a confirmation email, and therefore I assumed we were good to go. We arrived at the airport to find out according to the staff we had only partially checked in. They could see that we started the process but since we apparently did not fully check in, we were charged £90 (45 per person) to check in at the airport. When I emailed Ryanair customer service and explained the entire situation, they absolutely could not have cared less. As a seasoned traveler, this one really takes the cake for poor customer service. Absolutely the worst experience that I've had with an airline. I will never fly with them again."
Pros: "Food and entertainment was not part of the deal. Fine with me."
Cons: "Everything was fine. 15 minute early arrival."
Pros: "price flexible with luggage"
Cons: "-- boarding process is terrible with very long lines in all Ryanair. -- not enough room for the allowed luggage, and this masses the aircraft -- other that EU people cannot use mobile boarding pass and must print it, which is stressful for flying away from home/office for more than 4 days, and with no airport kiosk to print it - some people were really stressed by the threat to pay 47$ for a flight that costs less than that, just since they could not print the pass in the hotel."
Pros: "Extra fees turned a $18 flight into almost $90. Never again will I fly Ryan Air"
Cons: "The extra fees make this airline no bargain . TAP would have been half the price."
Pros: "We like that originally the flight was suppose to be very affordable."
Cons: "When the e-mail was sent out with the confirmation it said at the very bottom of the page, past optional car rental, hotel rates, and other advertisements that we were REQUIRED to check in online. That was terrible placement. When we accessed the website online to check in it required passport information, confirmation numbers, and other information so we thought it would be easy to check in at the air port. We arrive to horrible customer service, a demand for 50 euro a piece to just check-in. We received no documentation of purchase and when we went to check our bags in they asked for our registration, and of course the woman who helped us had left for a smoke break. Just terrible!"
