Cons: "Last minute change of boarding gate led to a dash across the airport!"

Pros: "The flight attendants were very patient and attentive, the vegetarian meal was probably the best I’ve ever had on a flight. The plane was a little older so there was a (relatively) comfortable amount of seat room."
Cons: "Some entertainment option would be nice, but it was a European flight under 3 hours, so not much was expected."

Pros: "The airplane was modern and well kept. The crew were attentive and kind."
Cons: "Nothing - our flight out was great!"

Cons: "I don’t like how the food on premium economy is packed in a cubic box that is really messy to eat from which the small plastic cutlery. Food quality is good, but feels like being an animal being fed from a bucket."

Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Not a thing"

Pros: "Small airplane"
Cons: "Confused information and double/extra charge for only one check-in baggage. They should make clear in the first place when booking ticket or check in online but NOT. I have to pay $83 dollars for one luggage."

Pros: "on time"
Cons: "food selection"

Cons: "SAS is a train wreck. everything they told us was misinformation from the first delay (there were 5 delays, one each hour, before they cancelled) The whole time they would not allow ticket changes while we watched available flights take off for 5 hours. We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance."

Pros: "Great selection of movies."
Cons: "Sitting on runway for take off for some 40 minutes."

Pros: "Crew, food"
Cons: "Boarding could have been smoother. Entertainment system could have a better selection of movies and tv programs"

Pros: "The crew was great and the food as well"
Cons: "Boarding chaotic and Newark airport is very inconvenient. No signs to terminal B and the sky train with the compartment system is not very functional. I am tall person and sitting in the middle of the middle row was very inconvenient wilh not enough leg space."

Pros: "Seats are pretty comfortably and spacious for economy class (I’m small though, so take that with a grain of salt). The lunch was pretty solid, would have preferred a hot breakfast. The vegetarian breakfast was grilled veggies with fruit and yogurt on the side, kind of a mish-mash of things."
Cons: "- Would have liked a better breakfast - More entertainment with subtitles (esp foreign films) - More entertainment selection"

Cons: "Our ticket said economy, but it was a specific set of economy that did not include any baggage. If we were warned prior we could have purchased it for significantly cheaper. Our ticket was not clear and it cost us 175usd for two bags at the airport. Very disappointing"

Pros: "Flight was on time. Boarding was simple and easy. Staff were excellent in handling the boarding process and very prompt in getting people seated/luggage put in to overhead lockers, free tea and coffee was provided which assured that extra comfort, would definitely recommend."

Pros: "I was running late to my flight, and I found the SAS customer service line exceptionally helpful in helping me make the right decisions regarding how best to deal with the risk of missing my flight. In the end, I made my flight in time, but I found customer service critical in making the best decisions regarding my pre-flight transportation. Additionally, the flight was smooth and enjoyable."
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "Top notch service , catered very much to Americans . Would definitely fly again"

Cons: "Not enough characters to express my disappointment."

Pros: "A good and safe flight"
Cons: "I'm very dissapointed about SAS food-service. One can't get even the simplest Bisquit without playing. Most other companies I fly with serve food for Free."

Pros: "Great flight, on time great crew."

Pros: "Easy boarding"
Cons: "Seat width"

Cons: "I took this flight to have a short layer over, only 40 minutes. This was a connecting flight departed from Newark and was a connecting flight for many people coming from Thailand. I almost missed this flight due to highly backed up passport control. If SAS was running so many international flights, they should have shifted the layer over, since many people were taking connecting flights for Oslo to Manchester. No food, there should have at least been a snack or at a minimum offered water."

Pros: "Softest landing ever"
Cons: "Not much entertainment but a domestic flight"

Pros: "Great takeoff and landing.Care ethics of the stuff was excellent. The quality of the food was very good and it was served with care."

Pros: "There was nothing positive in this experience. Oh, the flight was safe and no one was injured?"
Cons: "Charged for checked bag on international flight. Late departure. Only food was a small cup of water on a 3+ hour, lunch time flight -- not even a bag of pretzels. Late arrival with short connection and flight attendant directed us to wrong gate. When we reached final destination, only one of two checked bags showed up."

Pros: "Flight attendants were courteous and professional."
Cons: "Only offered coffee and tea during meals."

Cons: "Lost my luggage when the other 3 people who I am traveling with got theirs. Not sure what went wrong there. No SAS personnel was available, actually there was no airline counter even. I filed a lost and found report at the airport. I will contact the airline , hope they will find my bags or at least provide vouchers for my one week vacation."

Pros: "Two 20-something young ladies tried to figure out system, individual issues while rest of us stood and watched versus passing through loading area. In addition, delayed due to short handed baggage loading crew. Flight was one hour late departing. Luggage did not make connecting flight to London. No wifi either."
Cons: "Smooth flight."

Pros: "Front of the plane was business level service - back more like low cost. But the same staff numbers as low cost."
Cons: "Boarding very slow. Staff a bit inattentive"

Pros: "Friendly crew. First meal was good."
Cons: "Small movie selection. Second meal/snack not great. Older plane (still had ashtrays in arm rests)."

Pros: "Once again the atmosphere was terrific. The cleanliness of the plane was good. The staff was awesome."

Pros: "crew was really nice and efficient"
Cons: "no complimentary beverages"

Pros: "Quick flight easy on and off."

Pros: "New airbus with good entertainment screenset clean"
Cons: "Delays on boarding (on departing as well as returning home) Damaged luggage"

Cons: "my flight from stockholm was delayed and there was a massive queue at border control and no SAS or airport staff to organise to get PAX through faster so they dont miss their connection I had to fight my way through the queue otherwise I would have lost my connection"

Cons: "No one from the flight crew gave us the border card. We waited in the border line only to be told once we reached the front that we needed to leave the line to fill one out. No guest on the Oslo to Edinburgh flight was given one."

Pros: "Everything worked well."
Cons: "Movie selection could be lager."

Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The crew forgot to start serving the final meal until 40 minutes before we landed which resulted in them nearly throwing food at people so that they could quickly get through the plane and sit again before descent. I was not able to choose my seat and was seated in the back of the plane. Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises."

Pros: "The automated kiosks made it ridiculously easy. Flying out of LAX can be a pain, but that went by so smoothly. I'm cheap and have become accustomed to Spirit airlines. So when I received free (decent) meals a complimentary bottle of water and a plethora of inflight entertainment."

Pros: "We were very impressed by the customer service and how comfortable our flight was. I will definitely fly with SAS again."

Pros: "The plane was new, great seats and staff"
Cons: "Delayed flights, microphone is too fuzzy, hard to understand. Also why couldn't we get 2 or more sodas.. Crazy! The Asian airlines beat you! Very expensive stuff like a small red bottle of wine was like almost $15! Nuts... Very disappointed.. It should be free for the money we pay! Also staff just let people leave their windows open which was crazy coz most passengers are tired from other trips and of course in Europe you can hardly see anyone letting the elderly and children have any first priority boarding or let alone line up. I had my disabled husband and a young active little grandchild... Cathay Pacific, PAL,KAL, CAL are great about priority boarding for the elderly and children. Its sad your company do not have compassion or empathy for families with little children and the elderly population.. They really suffer!"

Pros: "I'm a super nervous flyer, and SAS did an awesome job with customer service, in flight service, the food was delicious and the drinks were great! I'll be sticking with SAS for future flights."

Cons: "I missed my flight due to car troubles and has been very difficult in trying to get a refund for my flight. SAS was very unhelpful at the airport I had to go to Delta and purchase and entirely new flight!"

Pros: "Fantastic crew"
Cons: "The plane was a half hour or so late taking off. We waited on the plane for most of that half hour with no explanation of why When calling rows to board -- after calling rows 1 through 13 she then called rows 41 and after. She skipped our row 14. This could definitely be an issue with overhead space"

Cons: "Because the airport was under construction, the area to wait to board was very barren and without bathrooms. We had to take a very crowded bus to the airplane."

Pros: "Attendants allowed any standing to ease weary legs as long as it was out of the way."

Pros: "New and nice plane. Good amenities for coach. Good service for the most part. Food was tasty."
Cons: "Breakfast was kind of rushed. Would have liked to have been offered water, tea, and coffee more."

Cons: "The fight was cancelled due to the on-going Swedish pilot strike."

Pros: "Helpful staff."
Cons: "Taking a bus from the airplane to Frankfurt Airport is less than ideal, but it worked fine."

Cons: "Customer Service was terrible at the counter. Check in was aweful. Surpirse very expensive bag fee. There was no effort to make me aware of the bag fees before the flight. Automatic recheck of bags didn't work. Everything took longer than expected and nobody was interested in helping solve the problem."

Pros: "AOK!"

Cons: "Food options"

Cons: "My biggest issue was that my seat didn't recline. 30C. It was quite unpleasant for a 5 hour flight with a large man pushing his seat farther back than it goes, in front of me. The other issue was that one gentleman flight attendant had terrible body odor. He mostly smelled like he'd been sweating, but his uniform was in desparate need of laundering ... particularly the pants. I started to mention to it with the friend that I was traveling with, and she knew what I was going to describe before I said it, despite us not talking during the flight (seats were split apart). I'd also mention - although there may not be anything that can be done - but boarding was a nightmare. A large Chicago flight had a boarding line crossing in front of our gate as we were called to get in line (no zones or row numbers). It was quite slow to be standing for 50 minutes and the entire plane settling into all rows at once."

Pros: "Flight, crew."
Cons: "Absolutely nowhere to sit in the assembly area by Gate D36. It is just a place to stand in a queue. There is no departure lounge."

Pros: "Lots of legroom choice of entertainment"
Cons: "Flight delay. Long walk to gate for departure"

Pros: "Crew seemed okay comparatively to other airlines/crews."
Cons: "airport delays up to 2 hours, not knowing which gate and changing it all the time in Reykjavik, seating was hyper cramped, no food to compensate for the extra long trip, my carry on was taken from me even though it easily fit in overhead (it's a legal size duffel bag). I was exhausted after spending well over 14 hours in airports and 2 planes from Paris to DC."

Pros: "Great service"
Cons: "Nothing"

Cons: "No complaints."

Cons: "We were told airport is small and catching connecting flight would be no problem. Landed late which left us with 25 minutes to get through passport control and to the next flight. My mother is 67 and physically not able to run or even walk fast. It was worse on the way there. Arrived in Iceland and our Helsinki flight was canceled. We were rebooked to an earlier flight. We had a hard time catching it. Barely made it! We were not told of any such change. Sure, once I made it to my destination, I saw that I received an email while in the Air! I didn't have internet access en route! I won't book with that airline again. We almost didn't make our connection and weren't given any explanation. They should not assume that everyone has Wifi access once they leave their home country. I had to run ahead to let them know that we were indeed present and wanted to get on that flight. My mother struggled to follow me. I thought that it would be a good route to go, given that we make the trip to Finland to see our family. But it turned out not to be the case. Very disappointed."

Pros: "Always straight forward no frills fuss. I like the seating, but there could be more variety in entertainment."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and no info was given why though we assumed it was because the same reason every other flight was delayed. Ground crew did a pre checkin so that helped speed up process."

Pros: "Comfortable seats. I slept the whole flight!"
Cons: "The layout of the terminal in Reykjavik is obviously under renovation, but they could still make it look presentable"

Pros: "It was a short flight"
Cons: "The seats were old and worn. Smelly."

Pros: "We saw Greenland from the plane with the glacier, very nice! Comfortable plane!"
Cons: "The hostess we’re not friendly..."

Cons: "Didn't even know there was a ticket of this type. It was a good price, but when I went to check in on the return flight I was charged ~ $95 for a luggage item. Not a bad trick. On the other hand, not very nice either. They also didn't allow to take the guitar on-board due to a short & full flight saying the above part was too small. When I got on however, there was clearly room there. It could have been human error, but still disappointing nonetheless. They said there would be no track so it should safe, which it was, but it was left out in the rain for a minute or two so the soft case was somewhat wet. I don't think any permanent damage occurred."

Pros: "Plane was clean."
Cons: "Booked a mid day flight 9 months in advance to avoid a red eye flight. Flight changed 3 times during the 9 months, to a red eye flight. We ended up losing one day of vacation time and the cost of the room due to the delay. Due to flight change seat selection was altered and pre-flight check in could not be done. This results in each bag costing $70 instead of $50 if done on-line. The check in at both locations was unlike any other airline and just an overall disappointment. The next time I travel to that beautiful country I will try WOW Airlines instead. It can't be any worse."

Pros: "Very modern plane, good inflight entertainment system. Nice staff."
Cons: "Flight was great but didn’t like paying $65 per bag for 4 bags in the hold. Also tried to pay in advance online but didn’t seem to be a way to do it."

Pros: "Good legroom."
Cons: "2 late evening flights booked with Icelandair. BOTH flights were then cancelled, leaving us with an extra 2 nights of unplanned stopovers. Today’s flight then departed a further 90 minutes behind schedule. Can’t comment on the food - didn’t feel like paying Icelandic prices for the last time."

Cons: "It was late causing me to miss my connections"

Pros: "The price of the flight."
Cons: "A 2 hour layover turned into a 6 hr layover. Delays were announced 30 minutes at a time. They are flying so many flights thru Reykjavik that there isn't room for all the people. The weather was perfect, but a number of flights were delayed for various reasons. People were lined up everywhere, there isn't enough gate space, people just fill the hallways. The cafeteria ran out of bread for sandwiches given so many people needed to eat during the delays. In the future, I will look to avoid IcelandicAir flights thru Reykjavik despite the attractive price. They haven't scaled the airport to handle the traffic they are bringing in."

Pros: "Inexpensive ticket. Boarded and left right on time. Small, crappy plane (757=200). It was so old, there were still ashtrays in the back of the cabin!"
Cons: "The D gate area for check-in is a zoo, and we saw more than one couple looking for the correct gate. We were charged a bag fee of $77. IF one goes on line 36 hours before you can get if for $55. We were unaware that the bag wasn't included (our bad, of course), but when we pointed out that on Iceland Air check in there was NO place that asked for bags?? They said it was our fault for not "reading the fine print". We can only check in 24 hours in advance, so WHO would think to "manage trip"...36 hours in advance?? Especially in rural Iceland which is where we were 36 hours ahead of time. We would have gladly paid the discounted rate for the bag, but no on was willing to help us with that, so we got soaked for $77 and were told to take our concerns to Iceland air customer service."

Pros: "The seats are wide with plenty of leg room. The crew is lovely and come around offering water many times throughout the flight (no food is included though)."
Cons: "The boarding process was very long In Iceland. They asked us to line up about 15 minutes before they started checking boarding passes Then, they made you wait for an extra ten minutes until they opened the doors to get on the bus, which was parked outside the door the entire time. Once we got on the bus we had to wait another ten minutes until it pulled away from the gate. Took about 35-40 mins from the time we got in line until we sat down in our plane seats. My friend’s tv screen stopped working after 15 minutes so we had to share mine for the rest of the 6 hours."

Pros: "Direct flight"
Cons: "There is only a serve of drink, headset need to pay"

Pros: "Crew members were courteous"
Cons: "Good evening, I’m not sure under which category our complaints should fall on your website so I will include them here. To summarize our complaint, we booked our tickets on Icelandair through Kayak (and Webjet) and upon arriving at the check-in counter on December 2, we were informed that the baggage fee for our flight would be $95 each! Understandably, we were shocked and very displeased. Nowhere in our confirmation emails or flight details was there anything about having to pay such a high rate for our luggage. The first employee we spoke to said that your airline has recently started charging such fees to compete with WOW Air and as I said to him, I would like to point out again that this is the very reason why I never choose to fly with WOW Air: they clearly state that there is a high baggage fee from the beginning of the registration process and I know of too many other airlines who don’t have such inflated fees. This ticketing agent and the manager said that the level of our ticket (apparently called Economy Light) indicated that we would be charged this baggage rate. It is now my understanding that on the Icelandair’s website, these levels are described but no such options were listed or explained on the Kayak website or any of our confirmation materials/emails. It is the responsibility of your site to post these important details in a conspicuous place so that travelers can make informed decisions. We could’ve flown with Air Portugal for a mere $50 more and saved not only over $200 each but also the inconvenience and frustration. Upon the check-in manager’s suggestion, I looked up our flight by the booking reservation number (LCWNEG) and again, the only “flight type” shown was called Economy, nothing more. The same is true for when we checked in online and reserved our seats - there was never an indication of the fees that were awaiting us. All this to say, we were incredibly upset to be surprised with an additional cost of $200/person (round trip ticket) but then, to add insult to injury, not only did we nearly miss our flight due to the length of time spent at the check-in desk, once we got on the plane and we realized we would not be served anything other than water or soda - since all food/meals must also be paid for in most Economy levels. This was our first experience with your airline/website and I highly doubt we will ever choose you in the future. I know now for a fact that other passengers who have booked through 3rd party sites have found themselves in similar bad situations. If you choose to work with airlines and offer lower rates, it is only honest and fair to make your policies clearly known to your potential customers. We felt mislead and deceived as these rates seemed hidden until it as too late. I eagerly await your response and look forward to hearing what steps will be taken to rectify the problem and make amends for this unacceptable situation. Sincerely, Mandi Vermilyea and Judith Arp"

Pros: "I need a cheap flight and at the time that was my best bet. Didn't have a bad time but next time I will fly direct from the US."
Cons: "Seats were so so, leg room was barely substantial. Iceland is expensive even on a layover. Layover was a bit more excruciating on the second leg."

Pros: "I'm a European tour and booked a flight from Reykjavik to Amsterdam, I received an email to make an offer to upgrade and I quickly jumped at the chance. I received an email 2 days prior to departure that my offer was excepted and I would be upgraded to economy comfort. Economy comfort is between First Classe and economy and the cool thing about it is that you get treated as if he had a first class ticket. I had access to the lounge which was amazing, the spread out was wonderful he sat in the choices plentiful. Reykjavik is a small airport therefore it's a busy airport, what do you economy comfort I was able to use the saga class lane and I checked in less than five minutes whereas the regular lane was backed up. I was able to board along with first-class passengers and the lane was short which I love. Overall it was a great experience and Icelandair will make you a trip even better if you fly with them first class or economy comfort. I highly recommend them and I am definitely flying with them again."
Cons: "The breakfast menu was limited but since I had the economy comfort upgrade,it was free so I can't really complain since I had the economy comfort upgrade."

Pros: "Again, the crew was very gracious and accommodating"
Cons: "The airport in Iceland is atrocious. The worst experience I have ever had in a terminal and boarding. It's hard to believe that there are so few seats at each gate and with several very large flights leaving from one small terminal and all within a few hours of each other it was extremely crowded and very hard to get to any amenities. We had to sit on the Floor!!! Then the boarding was a joke. The line was long and slow and we had to get on a bus and go out to the plane which was very awkward and slow. The bus was packed and very uncomfortable and the smell of diesel was nauseating. It seems like if they are going to accommodate so many large international flights that they would figure out that their infrastructure really needs some upgrades. Can't imagine what it would have been like if the weather had been poor which of course it often is in Iceland! Also, going to Europe, we received a couple of meals and on this flight no food was served. The food they did offer was over priced."

Cons: "Our seats were reassigned at the last minute (upon boarding) to seats that couldn't recline at all. The people in front of us could recline their seats fully, giving us no room whatsoever to move. We had no room to even rest our heads on the table or cross our legs. It was very uncomfortable. Had I known the seating was so uncomfortable, I would not have flown this airline. These were not the seats we selected earlier, so we were taken by surprise at being given such terrible seats and offered no options. I will not fly this airline again."

Cons: "To whom it may concern, In the last week I have flown Iceland Air three times. In fact had it been up to me, the first time would have been the last. But due to family traveling, our plans were set. So listed below is the detailed description of my horrible travels with your airline as well as all the added expenses it cost me. Due to all of the misshaps with Iceland air I have had in the last couple weeks, I made sure on my returning flight to check in and pick the seats for myself and the family member I was traveling with for my returning flight from Gatwick to Iceland. However when we got the gate, my ticket dinged because they had moved my seat from next to my family to the back of the plane, because they over booked the flight. This has been a disaster only because of this airline. Next time I plan on using British airways, the flight I took with them was amazing and effortless on my part!"

Pros: "Everything"

Pros: "Size of the Reykjavik airport."
Cons: "Not enough space for legs in the economy class. The chair back support was not working correctly ( couldn't be blocked in the reclined position). Very uncomfortable chairs overall. No food included in the price of a ticket for such long flight? Poorly organized and managed departure process. The passenger next to me was sick looking. He was coughing loudly and frequently all the time during that flight. For more then 7h of the flight no flight attendant demonstrated ANY interest or offered any help. Furthermore when his female companion (wife?) asked just for cup of water so he could get his meds at the beginning of the flight they were told to wait for the regular service to start (what took app 30min). So overall my impression of the Icelandair service is no more then just O'k."

Cons: "Entertainment needs an upgrade"

Pros: "We normally really like flying Icelandair and enjoy the ability to have a stopover in Iceland. The crew is always very nice and this flight was no exception."
Cons: "The plane, or at least our section of it, was very warm. We were near the doors between Business Class and Economy, so we were expecting it to be even a little cold, but it was so warm that I was in a tank top the entire flight. The boarding process in Reykjavik was very odd, even for them. There was just a door in the wall under our gate # and without warning it was opened and everyone just got up and went through it. There was no announcement. Apparently the checkin desk was upstairs. We then waited 20 minutes in line, before they finally started boarding us int he order we were queued - again, no announcement."

Cons: "It took three attempts to land. First Manchester, then Liverpool and finally (after declaring a fuel emergency) back at Manchester. Everyone knew a storm was brewing so why didn't the plane have extra fuel on board in case of a diversion?"

Pros: "I liked the in flight movie selection."
Cons: "There were so many things wrong with our flight from Gatwick to NYC. The check in staff were rude and homophobic at check in, forcing my partner and I to separate for check in while we watched heterosexual partners check in together freely. The disabled toilet alarm broke as we descended into NYC and we listened to end-of-the-world death sirens as we were landing. It was not communicates that food was a microtransaction on flight and was so overpriced so we went nearly 13 hours without food because the flights were also delayed on the tarmac. The de-icing tow truck in Iceland was broken down so we were delayed two hours on the layover. On return, both Icelandair gates opened late. During the layover we were kettled in hot container units before 20 min before being bussed to the plane and held for 15 minutes. Then, the icing on the cake was landing back at Gatwick and seeing my brand new luggage I bought on the trip damaged with thr back pocked ripped out along the bottom seam. I will never again ride with these rude, price-gouging, apathetic amateurs."

Pros: "Quick, efficieny, comfy and they really treat the kids well."
Cons: "Delayed baggage reclaim at Gatwick and long immigration lines."

Pros: "The entertainment was great. It made my 8 hour flight bearable as I had something to watch/listen to."
Cons: "I must have had some bad luck because I was sitting next to an Icelandic man who was incredibly chatty and intoxicated. I kept wondering when the flight would cut off his consumption because throughout the entire 8 hour flight, he ordered drink after constant drink. Two wine bottles and countless vodkas. The amount of his drinking added to his rude behavior and he spoke very ignorantly and blatantly rude about my home country. I was discouraged when no staff member cut him off or asked him to behave respectfully. It was a very uncomfortable flight."

Cons: "I understand that businesses must expand, and that is no different with the Keflavik airport. In routing passengers through the airport, there were listings for Canada/UK, and US/All Passengers. It was unclear whether this signage was meant for "flights" or "passport." It was actually for "flights" meaning, if you are taking a flight to Canada, use this line; for US flights, use that line. However, many people, myself included, mistakenly assumed that the signage was meant for passports, in other words, US passport holders use this line; Canada/UK passport holders, use that line."

Pros: "nothing, but previously I've had great experience with this airline"
Cons: "They cancelled this ticket. I was unable to make a flight on the first ticket due to a business partner being ill (blood pressure issues). I then purchased a premium economy comfort ticket for the next day, also on IcelandAir, which was TWICE the cost of my original deal yet they would not honor my ticket. It really was quite disgusting and handled very badly. There was a medical situation that cost me far more than and then they would not honor my ticket to Manchester, so I had to fly WOWair to Bristol UK instead."

Pros: "clean cabin"
Cons: "Tiny seats (average sized male here - trust - they are tiny) All food is charged (not a single piece of free food was offered; $8/sandwich) Lost luggage - I've never dealt with airline personnel (in person & over phone) that displayed such a level of apathy. Compensation ceiling: $99. They apologized about the incident as if they were sorry that it was raining that day - not losing 2 pieces of luggage and not having any means to track them. Check-in personnel: They only gave me a single luggage tag for 3 pieces of luggage - they should have given me 3. Would have made tracing lost luggage easier. Employee @ IAD told me that if I didn't show up at the boarding gate 40 minutes prior to boarding that they would remove my luggage from airplane and that I could risk losing flight (wtf?). Icelandair is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They may offer rates 20% cheaper than other major carriers, but that discount accompanies a steep price. It's an airline run by inexperienced, lackluster, apathetic staff who, frankly, have no business operating an airline. If your options are flying with a major carrier vs Icelandair - and the price difference is a few hundred $: pay the extra money; you'll be glad you did. Icelandair's prices are not low enough to justify all the discomforts and liabilities which accompany them. Look elsewhere. Keep this in mind: I'm a seasoned flyer. This airlines barely ranks one notch up from Ryanair."

Cons: "Avoid if you prefer being able to sit down."

Pros: "The flight was on-time and arrived on-schedule. Iceland Air provided e-mail updates regarding the schedule of the flight prior to departure."
Cons: "Reykjavik airport (KEF) is much too crowded and there are not enough seats for passengers in the waiting area. The boarding onto the plane was disorderly and no announcements were made to provide directions. If you fly to Europe from USA, avoid Reykjavik. Iceland Air charges extra for snacks, headphones, and seat assignments. Even after buying "discount" tickets, the extra charges boost the cost to the same as all the other airlines. The plane only had two bathrooms on-board so there was a line during the entire six hour flight."

Cons: "Dear Seema, We spoke just now. I had booked a flight from Reykjavik to Stockholm (via Copenhagen) through Kayak.com for 2 passengers, Tushar Kamat (myself) & Priyanka Kamat (my wife). I had indicated a travel date of 6th Oct during my booking, but for some strange reason,, the ticket got issued for 4th Sep (yesterday). My credit card also got charged for the full amount and I received an e-ticket yesterday. Later during the day yesterday, I received a mail from Flight Network (which I guess is the travel portal used by Kayak.com) stating that the 1st leg of the flight (Reykjavik to Copenhagen) on 4th Sep got cancelled. The mail from Flight Network is appended in the mail below. Firstly, my travel date was never supposed to be 4th Sep, and it was always supposed to be 6th Oct, since I am still in India and have not even started my Scandinavia trip. Secondly, since the 1st leg of the flight was cancelled by the airline, the 2nd leg made no sense for me anyways, since my end destination was always supposed to be Stockholm, and not Copenhagen. Since the cancellation has occurred at SAS end (and even the incorrect booking date seems to be an error not at my end), I would request you to organise for a full refund of the Reykjavik to Stockholm flight fare for me & my wife to me. This amount was charged to my credit card by Kayak.com so would appreciate it if you could either get the full amount refunded to my credit card, or organise for the amount to get transferred online to my bank account. I would look forward to your prompt response. Thanks, Tushar"

Cons: "Seat 8G does not have a window."

Pros: "Efficient and smoothe flight, on time"
Cons: "baggage delay due to? security breach at aircraft. 2 hours standing around, almost as long as the flight"

Cons: "When we arrived at Keflavik airport the terminal was immensely crowded with several flights due to leave the US at once. It was overcrowded to the point of being uncomfortable and there was a 30min+ wait to buy food from the only shop. As a result we did not have time to grab a bite to eat between flights. My partner was subjected to additional TSA checks which I am aware is a random check and a nescessity but due to the amount of flights departing for the US this took an extra hour, and delayed our flight. I'm thankful that Iceland Air didn't leave without us but it was an immensely stressful experience that I don't wish to go through again."

Pros: "Nothing to like except that we finally got here."
Cons: "Late departure. Not enough fuel in plane so had to refuel in Minneapolis. Even with headwinds, there should have been enough fuel put into the plane to complete the trip. They stopped in at an airport that was experiencing thunderstorms, and while we were refueling, our plan was struck by lightening and then had to to be examined for damage before continuing on. We were on the ground, in the plane, for a total of 4 hours, waiting. Finally were advised that the crew had "timed out" and could not fly any more that day, so we spent the night and all the next day sleeping on the floor in the airport. Icelandair was not at all prepared for such a situation. Situation was somewhat chaotic with incomplete and inaccurate information given to passengers. Very poor communication on the part of Icelandair, or whoever they contract this function to. We expected to be able to leave the airport the next morning, but were told that the flight would not leave until 5 p.m. Then they changed the time to 8:20 p.m. but didn't announce that. Then that flight delayed until 9:00 p.m. We finally got off the ground a little after 10:00 p.m. On top of all this, many passengers' entertainment systems did not work, and this made for a very long and frustrating flight. Not good, Icelandair."

Cons: "Our plane was diverted to refuel - after an hour and a half of increasingly cryptic and contradictory communications while sitting on the ground, we were removed from the plane and given cots to sleep on the airport floor. No staff present to provide information, no communication by email, noone available by phone, no updates on the website, vague rumors from another airline's staff of a "possible flight" the following evening.....no idea how/when we'd get back to Denver. We got a car and started driving...huge vote of no confidence in Iceland Air, its equipment and staff."

Pros: "Was exhausted and slept through the flight, so unable to speak to in-flight service."
Cons: "The flight was delayed over four hours with no communication. Upon arrival the flight that was due to leave in 45 minutes (if on schedule), wasn't even shown on the board, causing panic and confusion. When we did learn that the flight was delayed and it showed up on the departure board, we settled in for a long wait. As what should have been boarding time arrived, no announcements were made, and we ended up queuing for almost an hour before the flight finally departed 30 minutes later than the delayed time. Biggest gripe? No announcements were made acknowledging the delay, providing realistic expectations, or giving us updates regarding new departure times."

Cons: "When we boarded in Reykjavik al was fine until the pilot announced that the bag sorting machinery was malfunctioning. We were told we'd be delayed while 18 bags were found and sorted by hand. Then it was 14. And an hour later, we left. Apparently it was still five. That is how many of us were still waiting at the carousel when all the bags had come off. I suspect Iceland Air decided that was an acceptable number and sent us on knowing that they hadn't found all the bags. I did eventually get my bag... six days later and after quite a few unanswered messages. That is partly because Iceland subcontracts list bag service to a company called THS, which again subcontracts delivery to a company called APC. All of these appear allergic to caulking US numbers. Iceland Air for the win."

Pros: "the plane got us to our destination close to on-time"
Cons: "no seats in the airport; barely enough room to stand; long wait for boarding and totally confusing/interfering messages on airport PA system; chaotic boarding "process"; had to walk out in rain; MUCH more troubling were the elderly and handicapped people who also had to deal with this mess... many of them were in obvious physical pain. unconscionable; entertainment system kept cutting in and out, working for a while, going dark, coming back, then finally dying for good; this took up a great deal of the crew's time; nobody bothered to make a cabin announcement"

"Useless Got delayed because we were waiting for the cabin crew to arrive to board the plane"

Pros: "Seats were comfortable Had a row to myself Flight was good even though there was a bit of turbulence it was smooth"
Cons: "I missed the food and drink from London to Manchester cos I fell asleep Found a bag of crisps on the chair next to me but no bottle of water"

Pros: "Welcoming, hard-working crew who served a 3-course cold meal in Business Class in what was just a 30-minute flight. We landed at least 10 minutes ahead of schedule."

Pros: "Nothing. I was offloaded minutes before boarding by BA without any explanations. The staff was not helpful in any way. BA is suggesting either non recept of payment or credit card fraud. Both reasons are totally bogus."
Cons: "Proper communication by both BA and local handlers at the airport in Iceland."

Cons: "They made me checkin a small bag"

Cons: "Plane was late taking off, Crew did not provide water when requested. They were busy with beverages that they could sell at a cost."

Pros: "The Check in LADY was amazing"
Cons: "On the flight they wouldn't offer me alcohol, even though the lady next to me had a mimosa?"

Pros: "The crew was very helpful. Made sure I was comfortable."

Pros: "Very enthusiastic and pleasant crew who worked hard to provide a meal and drinks to all Business Class passengers on this short 33-minute flight."

Cons: "The food was fantastic also the crew."

Pros: "Crew professional and courteous. Smart looking cabin"
Cons: "Boarding process slow and boarding groups in illogical order."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed causing us to take a red eye, missing our connection, long layover, missed our hotel for the night, thripled our time in transit. The worst travel experience I have had."

Pros: "Landing and disembarking"
Cons: "Paying $275 to upgrade and experiencing one of worst flights and service I’ve travelled. No water supply for hot beverages, wash hands or brush teeth during eight hour international flight, not given special diet meal requested as crew unable to locate it, Entertainment monitor not working or housed in seat back correctly to adjust angle, remote handset buttons barely working to watch or make selections, unable to call cabin crew who did not visit through cabin for approximately two and half hours as ‘assumed most passengers were sleeping’, no wine choice only Sauvignon blanc and I wanted Chardonnay so had nothing. Breakfast ‘special diet request’ meal was cold hard bagel with colourful lump of cream cheese, which seemed to be what everyone else had. No orange juice, grapefruit that can’t take medication with, so had nothing to drink except allotted splash of water into small paper cup. Dreadful journey"

Pros: "I liked that the seats were very comfortable and had enough space."
Cons: "I didn’t like that I had to go through security twice once upon arrival and once in London. i also wish I would have booked a different airline so I could have had a direct flight. That wasn’t a problem with this airline though, just my negligence with research."

Pros: "New plane and boarding was a breeze."
Cons: "Had to pay for any food and drinks. No entertainment but very short flight."

Pros: "Comfortable on plane. Pleasnt crew"
Cons: "Boarding could be bettet done.. .miss the free drink"

Pros: "Nothing! Absolutely nothing!"
Cons: "My flight Paris/London/Manchester?Chicago was the mos impleasant experience I ever had. On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."

Pros: "Almost nothing on this flight."
Cons: "Boarded on time then 40 minute delay before take off. After we landed the plane came to a sudden stop and the Captain told us the lights to guide us to the appropriate place were not working this was a long delay. When we got to the disembarking area we had another long wait and the reason was due to the bridge not working, eventually we went out the back of the plane. The most unbelievable problem was the announcement just before take off that both rear toilets were out of action, since the flight was late this was an issue and I do not believe that both toilets could be broken more likely that there was no person available to clean them."

Pros: "Had to deboard onto the tarmac via a set of stairs as the connecting ramp was not working. A little difficult for me due to mobility issues. However, the crew voluntarily saw me struggling and took down my suitcase, very nice!"

Pros: "It got me where I needed to be with a reasonable seat. I got a arrival card from the flight attendants."
Cons: "The boarding process was not very clear because we were away for the first announcement and then no more details were provided that we heard, so we just got in line. It seemed like nothing was free on board, including water but I could be wrong. If there was free stuff, it was not clear, which is annoying. They gave me an arrival card, but no pen or pencil or anything to write with."

Cons: "The plane was actually about to fly off when it suddenly skidded to a stop. We weren't informed about the reason, but all of a sudden, the plane couldn't take off for over two hours. My family and I ended up missing our connecting flight home. BA tried compensating with food vouchers and rebooking us onto another flight, but our family got split up in the process and we were all assigned to different middle seats."

Pros: "Nice crew"

Pros: "Sitting in exist row with leg room"
Cons: "Seats are small, not enough elbow space. Movie selection was bad."

Pros: "The fact that the flight was short and not full. Crew were pleasant and business like"
Cons: "There was nothing to not like"

Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Crew"

Pros: "Plane was small but reasonably so for the length of the flight. Crew were nice, no issues with the flight.."
Cons: "Flew economy so no food. Definitely no entertainment. First world problems: Not that it's really a big deal, but I sure wish these short haul flights would start installing at least in seat video for flight tracking, news or a few games. Even just an internet connection. It's bad enough you are shoved in there like cattle in a sardine can."

Pros: "Flight attendants were to top in the industry. Caring and caring. They are the face of your airline. Give them the right tools, they function well. I could not have been treated better as a Frequent traveler."
Cons: "Reservation process online does not show you that you are buying a bullshit Business Class seat. You pay a premium for Business class and granted, the meal was great, something the Coach class did not get BUT they should tell you when booking that that you are sitting in coach with a table blocking the middle seat, not truly a Business class seat. Dumb down your operations but don't insult your customers. Tell them what they are getting when booking a bus type business class seat. Worst business practice ever, driven by European style of travel BUT call it premium economy, not BUSINESS."

Cons: "could not even get water to drink without purchasing"

Cons: "food!"

Pros: "Quick boarding!"
Cons: "Snack trolley didn't reach the back seats due to the shortness of the flight. The only entertainment was an in flight magazine!"

Pros: "Reasonable comfort."
Cons: "Very slow baggage pickup at the airport."

Pros: "Safe on almost on time trip"
Cons: "Checking in at Reykjavic was slow and crowded"

Cons: "Missed connection due to delays on previous flight"

Pros: "Quick flight. Was late leaving but made up time in the air."
Cons: "Not enough time to serve folks while in flight. Consider taking orders in the Departure Lounge before boarding flight."

Pros: "Good cabin crew and boarded direct from terminal via airbridge. Also good food in Club Europe for such a short flight."
Cons: "Slight 15 minute delay and miserly legroom in Club Europe - densification gone too far."

Cons: "cramped and very warm"

Pros: "I thought British Airways was a better airline. I hope they do better job to when I return back to my home next mointh!"

Pros: "Capt informative pertaining to delay"
Cons: "Had to pay for drinks and food"

Pros: "What you expect on commuter hop, no problems."
Cons: "No complaints"

Pros: "Got me there"
Cons: "Basic"

Cons: "Plane was late boarding, updates were not prompt."

Pros: "Courtesy"
Cons: "Maintenance of toilets"

Pros: "BA couldn't get our boarding passes to work no matter how many times they printed out new ones and we had to land into proper arrivals (though we were in transit in Heathrow) and tell five different groups of staff what was going on, even though it wasn't our problem but their computer glitch. One man at security was even rude to me, telling me not to just stand there. ( I had been told to stand there whilst they went and tried to remedy for the umpteenth time). When I showed him my disabled badge and said I would personally prefer NOT to be left standing for hours, he said 'so?'. It was a nightmare. It took hours and still wasn't sorted and in the end the immigration officers had to be called to the boarding area to allow us on the flight with non functioning boarding cards. It wasn't even our fault. REally upset about it."

Pros: "very friendly and helpful staff. by chance small upgrade to comfortable seats next to the emergency exit."
Cons: "no food, no entertainment system, no facility to charge cell phones."

Pros: "The staff are friendly and cheerful. No food or entertainment for the short donestic flight (as would be expected anywhere for a 50 min flight)"
Cons: "Boarding badly organised ... signs telling you where to queue are double sided and depending which side you see first direct you into the wrong lane... Left a bit late but arrived pretty much on time. Baggage didn't arrive after a 2 hour transfer and this is the third time in four times over the past few years. I strongly do not recommend BA as a domestic UK connection after an international arrival."

Pros: "Comfortable night, pleasant crew. The food was pretty good, and the flight attendants were attentive. I didn't have to ask for refills on drinks, etc. They also seem to get along well with each other, which makes for more relaxing trip."

Cons: "The drop down food trays were dirty and we had to ask an assistant to clean them. The light refreshments were served late - we were landing just as they were handing out the drinks."

Pros: "smooth flight"
Cons: "not a lot of leg room. Took a while to board."

Cons: "It was extremely hot on the plane. for the first 30 minutes there was no ac available and there was little to no help from the staff. I asked for water to cool myself down and ov waited about ten minutes to get it after hitting my help button multiple times. The flight attendants may have been overwhelmed with the requests as there were many just like me who struggled so they came off very rude. The plane was also not updated at all - not personal entertainment and once again, no ac/air for people to control."

Pros: "Helpful, friendly and kind!!"

"Late."

Pros: "Quick boarding and landed earlier than scheduled."
Cons: "The air-con was too cold. The seats don't allow you to sleep as there's no where to rest your head against."

Pros: "It was very quick and arrived ahead of time."

Pros: "Crew were amazing arrived early"
Cons: "In flight entertainment"

Pros: "Roomy seats"
Cons: "No entertainment"

Pros: "The check in was very good and there were people about to ask if you needed help"

Cons: "long delays"

Pros: "leg room, crew and flight comfort inc access to toilets was better than BA! (No business class hogging the front toilet)"
Cons: "Boarding was slow and crowded, and flight was from a remote gate which is always less comfortable than an air-bridge much worse than BA"

Cons: "It’s was late both out and return"

Cons: "Plane delayed and overbooked"

Cons: "The flight was delayed, normal easy jet flight, not expensive, short on space and just about ok on comfort. But, good flight times and reasonable cost. There was a very big man in my row, with his small wife, he just about fitted on,but I don't think of have accepted him sitting next to me."

Pros: "easy, no fuss boarding and flight"
Cons: "the queuing to have your bags scanned as you board your flight was confusing as there were 3 queues in the same space for flights leaving within 10 minutes of each other. Not a big deal, but someone explaining which queue to those at the back would have been helpful"

Pros: "Friendly crew."

Pros: "Great that cabin bags were offered to go in the hold"
Cons: "Having boarded on time, seemed to take ages taxiing around before lift off, hence delayed start and late arrival on an already late evening flight."

Pros: "Efficient No Frills Value For Money"
Cons: "Cramped Seating"

Pros: "Amazing timely departure and super fast luggage!"
Cons: "Boarding process always painful. Not sure why they always take passengers in an uncomfortable standing only zone and still make them wait."

Pros: "Professional crew"
Cons: "2-hour delay due to "crew welfare issues" Even after a 2-hour delay, they let more cabin baggage on board than was possible to stow in the lockers, resulting in rather chaotic scenes around transfer of baggage to the hold, and adding toi delay.. Entirely avoidable"

Pros: "Great service landed early both ways defo use again"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "No having to have hassle of traveling"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "I liked the price of my flight."
Cons: "The flight was delayed over an hour and there was no update on the app to indicate it. A lot of time wasted waiting in the airport and a very late arrival in Manchester."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Ripped off on baggage overweight charge. $135.00 for 16lbs overweight. The entire flight was down right miserable because it was not just cold it was artic. Flight crew and check-in crew were unfriendly. Will never use Kiwi.com or easyJet again."

Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Froze through out the flight. Total rip off on baggage fees 8 kilos over cost me $140"

Pros: "New plane"
Cons: "Almost 2hour delay"

Cons: "I wasn't able to be on the flight because they didn't schedule a realistic amount of time to make the connection."

Pros: "Staff were pleasant and the pilot did an excellent job in difficult weather conditions"
Cons: "The flight was not stocked with sufficient food and had run out of sandwiches by row 3. Considering food is purchased for an additional fee this is surely makes poor business sense aside from being frustrating for passengers on a 3 hour flight plus a delay. Flights were very expensive especially when factoring in that we had to pay to check a bag, to select seats and to purchase food and drink. Worked out as terrible value for money when compared with an Emirates flight to New Zealand."

Pros: "Arrived on time"
Cons: "Boarding was slow Seat was very uncomfortable, it is like they discriminate against tall people, leg space gets less and less by the year"

Pros: "The landing was hairy and I have never experienced a fish tail landing quite like it before."
Cons: "The landing was horrid and Im sure I lost £15 off the cashier for wine and cheddar crackers was like a magic trick gone wrong. Sort your float for each flight and stop making assumptions with short change and playing games."

Pros: "Flight was well organised and lef on time."
Cons: "Rating of one star for food was because we didn't have any and entertainment because understandably there wasn't any."

Pros: "The crew was nice"

Pros: "Friendly staff, food ok"
Cons: "Shepherded into a small area with very few seats, and anyway, we were held in lanes like sheep! Seating on the plane - narrow and little space between rows. Had to wait quite a while for baggage to arrive."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Booked wrong date before confirmation came phoned to cancel was told I couldn't have a refund would never use easy jet again"

Pros: "Newer clean plane, courteous service, Fairly easy process and they do offer the electronic boarding pass - which is a big plus for me. Left a bit late -- but made up for it in flight and got to destination in time. Overall, I would recommend."
Cons: "No show stoppers just keep in mind this is a typical budget airline deal. They have extra charges to choose your seat, for bags, food & drinks onboard etc. And there is no entertainment. Know that, and you're ok."

Pros: "Boarding was fast and easy. I was directed towards the rear if the plane so I didn't have to walk town the entire plane. I was offered to check my hand luggage in the hold for free"
Cons: "Nothing"

Cons: "Flight delay both outbound and return"

Pros: "The crew in Iceland tried very hard to make the best of a bad situation that they did not create."
Cons: "Our Easy Jet flight from Reykjavik to Geneva was cancelled because the plane that the company sent over from Geneva was about 15 seats too small. The ground crew told us that all rows after 26 did not exist. At first, this was characterized as an overbooking, which probably made me more angry than the subsequent explanation that the plane from Geneva had maintenance problems, and that passengers from Geneva to Reykjavik had suffered the same fate. The real problem here is that Easy Jet lacks problem solvers. We watched a bag jam-up the conveyer from the check in to wherever it goes from there. Ticket agent after ticket agent tried to fix it until one got lucky. Where was the person with a toolbox who knew about these things? Likewise, with our situation, there should have been a customer service specialist who had seen this type of problem and knew just what to do. Instead, the ground crew, friendly as they were, really just made a lot of phone calls for us and tried to be empathetic. We'll be filing a claim for compensation and hopefully Easy Jet can make some improvements."

Cons: "Easyjets own App cancelled my flight and the rescinded this cancellation. Thus I travelled to the airport and found it was cancelled again. Worse; initially no rescheduled flight for >5 days. Had to buy a seperate ticket to a different airport."

Cons: "That we now have to pay for snacks, which were previously inclusive with the flight."

Pros: "Everyone was helpful and the trip was nice & Great!"

Pros: "Boarding was efficient when we eventually boarded, could have been more organised."
Cons: "No food left to purchase on a flight that was delayed by 90 minutes, gate staff allowed oversize bags onto aircraft causing issues for crew and passengers, could have been an easy £45 for EZY. No boutique service on flight."

Cons: "Stupidly long wait"

Pros: "On time, welcoming crew on board"
Cons: "Request to put small handbag into half empty flight bag is just petty. If easyJet insist on checking customers through and then holding them in a pen, they should provide facilities/seating - we are not cattle but that is the impression given."

Pros: "Silly not being allowed a small handbag like Ryan air does now . I prefer them now ! It was always easy jet before"

Pros: "On time fantastic !"

Pros: "Slight delay in boarding which seemed due to ground staff shortage resulting in 30 minute delayed departure, but overall the flight was good - no complaints."

Pros: "Aircabin crew were amazing. Warren, Chris and Louise. Thank you so much."

Pros: "Kind crew, easy boarding and comfortable flight."

Pros: "Very comfortable experience. Boarding was easy. Check in was convenient. Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Nothing in particular to dislike."

Pros: "Crew on board friendly."
Cons: "Not easy for seniors with medium computer skills. Took me ages to checkin online. I got help from a youth! Check in at airport i did not know had to pay for luggage. Checkin staff talked down to me and had to go to bank for euros. Still not friendly and sent me with my backpack to odd size luggage. Overall did not find EASY and will probably not use again. Be more senior friendly and understanding please."

Pros: "Staff were excellent. Very friendly and nothing was a problem."
Cons: "Everything had to be paid for. Not even a free drink of water."

Pros: "The crew were very friendly, attentive and helpful where possible."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by 1 hour 30 minutes but there was almost no information about this other than the EasyJet app, even the airport boards provided misinformation. A last minute gate change brought upon a stampede, the flight was overbooked, and whilst not EasyJet's fault, 20 children on a midnight flight did not make for an enjoyable experience."
