Pros: "Crew was thorough"
Cons: "Food choices"
Pros: "Nice time flight"
Cons: "Faster service for flight delay"
Pros: "I made it safely to LAX"
Cons: "We waited in the plane on the tarmac for an hour. My boarding pass did not have a seat assignment, when I approached Alaska agents at the gate, they were rude and dismissive. Arrived late to LAX. Alaska offers free texting & entertainment while in the air it didn’t work with my iPhone."
Pros: "Nothing, the flight was late and I missed my connection in LAX"
Cons: "The departure time initially was at 9 am , the flight took off 9:40"
Cons: "Person next to me was tobacco smoking! And he was really obese taking up 2 seats! Airline shouldnt have noticed it and took action!"
Pros: "The crew at Alaska is top tier! They are always the friendliest, on the phone or in person. I was stuck in the Seattle snow storm and they were so helpful with flight changes"
Cons: "There was no tv on the plane and no complimentary snack/drink"
Pros: "Excellent and courteous cabin crew. United Flight attendants are a surly bunch of weaponized employees that seem to so hate their jobs and/or their airline... but you all know that. Life is too short."
Pros: "Alaska Airlines slays as usual!"
Cons: "LAX is horrible as usual. Like 20 minute waits on the terminal to dock kind of horrible."
Pros: "Flight was nice pilots did a great job"
Cons: "Attendants only came by once should have come buy a second time, just to check up"
Pros: "Excellent crew and service. The flight was comfortable and the inflight entertainment really helped make the flight shorter."
Cons: "Had to deplane cause your pilot exceeded his flying hours. Can be easily avoided if you have better management and not cutting things so close."
Pros: "Excellent crew. very friendly. No attitudes"
Cons: "they were not ready for us at LAX. We spent 20 minutes in a remote corner of the airline waiting for a gangway so we could go down to the tarmac and wait another 50 minutes for buses. No gate, no buses, just standing around. Terrible planning for our arrival"
Pros: "Friendly staff were efficient and helpful. Comfortable seats and fun entertainment and ordering interface with lots of good movies and shows."
Cons: "I would have liked more vegetarian meal options. I’ll probably grab something by the gate before I board next time. Not having a charging option for my phone was a little surprising. Again, I’ll be sure to top off my battery at the gate in the future."
Pros: "Not much to like this time around"
Cons: "Boarding attendants announced that the flight was delayed just 10 minutes before boarding time because of weather. Flight was from Seattle to Los Angeles and the weather was clear on the flight path. Two hours later, an announcement was made that it was actually because of congestion at the airport (poor planning) and yet, they did not offer anything to the passengers for the inconvenience. We boarded the plane two hours late, only to sit on the tarmac for another 40 minutes. This situation could have been handled so much better by Alaska Airlines."
Pros: "Alaska Airlines is one of my first choices to fly."
Cons: "No blankets or pillows available on a 6AM flight is not so comfortable though."
Pros: "First time flying with Alaska, and they were great. Quick, efficient, friendly, and my seat was comfortable enough that I was able to nap. I won’t ever fly with anyone else if I can help it."
Pros: "Genially friendly atmosphere"
Pros: "Our flight out of Seattle was delayed 5 hours and we missed our connection at LAX. When this came clear to us sitting on the tarmac, we called to be placed on next flight leaving at pm. We were told that at the time there was 10 seats available, BUT it could not be done over the phone. We had to wait until we reached LAX. When arriving COPA had no one attending their counters. Again I was told on the phone to wait until 6pm to rebook at counter. Come 6pm at the counter, no seats was available. Copa airlines would not talk to us and tried to turf it on Alaska. But Copa owned the ticket. Alaska would not help either when we arrived to LAX. It is now 9pm and I am on the phone with an Alaska agent who is wonderful and helping us getting to Panama to celebrate our father and father in law."
Pros: "Perfect all the way around"
Cons: "Passenger next to me seated in the aisle seat had a seat belt extension and needed two seats. I was in the middle and had a very uncomfortable flight. His arms were on my side and fortunately my husband was in the window seat and I leaned into him the entire time. The mans wife was not next to him but across the aisle and I understand why! He also had very poor hygiene."
Pros: "Flight attendants were mostly friendly (one was stern) & kept the bathrooms clean and stocked. Food was good, especially the fruit with meals- better than I can get."
Cons: "Only foreign movies with subtitles. Sat on the tarmac in Beijing for a full hour before take off. When I arrived at my final destination, my luggage did not arrive with me."
Pros: "Friendly crew, on time, no delays picking up bag on arrival."
Cons: "Bag drop off process at SeaTac was slightly confusing. People were standing in a long line only to be told to go back and do initial checkin at the computer terminals."
Pros: "Kind, caring flight crew. We had a wonderful flight"
Cons: "I missed my flight due to tellers taking their time doing their job"
Cons: "Boarding ease"
Pros: "Love everything!"
Cons: "The only issue I had was that we were delayed about 40 minutes after being in the plane because the pilots weren't there and the AC wasn't working yet so we were roasting while waiting for them to arrive. The attendants were very apologetic and kind though, passing out water and helping guests be as comfortable as possible. The only issue I've ever come across with this airline and it was still handled with kindness and efficiency, so DONT let this discourage you, Alaska is great!!!"
Pros: "The promptness"
Pros: "Flight attendants were nice as well as people in baggage. Quick flight..."
Cons: "Terrible customer service at ticket counter, flight was two hours delayed on my way out and no one was at the counter in the middle of the night so I had to bring my checked bag through security to have them then throw out my liquids! On return flight I was told to be there two hours in advance not one and they wouldn't even offer to put my luggage on another flight! Needless to say my parents had to come back to get it! They were the absolute worst, even the customer service wouldn't take responsibility and offered a $50 credit...never flying with them again."
Pros: "Good help for handicap people"
Pros: "Free hour of wifi as a T-mobile customer. The ability to change seats right up to the moment of boarding. It was my first flight ever and The Captain and crew did a great job to make the flight enjoyable and comfortable."
Cons: "As someone who has meticulously traveled the world over on Google Earth, i was enthralled to finally get to do it in real life. I was looking to bring up a GPs trackers or some kind of map application so i knew where i was flying over. I couldn't gain any access to any type of application due to GPS restrictions. This might be a rule for plane rides that i'm not aware of however."
Pros: "I didn't expect that we can have some snacks (pretzel) during the flight! And the seat was comfortable."
Cons: "Lost my biggest piece of luggage and they ripped another one , absolutely ridiculous !"
Pros: "Second round of soft drinks."
Cons: "Insufficient leg room for tall folks"
Cons: "I carry photo equipment in a carry on bag because of expense, damage control and temperature control. Unfortunately I can not leave it for baggage people to handle (although I would love to.) When I got my carry on to the greeting flight attendant I explained I had just finished a shoot and I was sorry that I needed to keep the bag as carry on. Flight Attendant: there was nothing she could do and I needed to go back down the stairs, even though people were still boarding and leave it with the baggage people. Me: "In the past the flight attendant put the bag in that closet." (I pointed to the locked closet where they keep their bags.) Flight Attendant: I cant open it because it's locked. Me: "The key is kept there." (I pointed to where the key is kept. I know because I've done this trip so many times before.) Flight Attendant: "See if it will fit under your seat." It did... but I had my knees in my chin for the entire flight. Thanks, Ann"
Pros: "Liked the opportunity to check in a day early and pick my own seat; also liked the option to pay a nominal fee $15 plus tax to board early."
Cons: "Can't think of anything."
Pros: "the seat confusion was a hassle but the crew was nice about it."
Cons: "the flight was oversold and i didn't get a seat assignment until the last minute. Then the seat they gave me was already booked to someone else, so i had to wait again on the plane to get a seat. on my outgoing flight to seattle a few days prior, i intentionally didn't check a bag because i had a late arrival and early work the next day, was forced to check it on the plane and then they lost it for an hour after i landed so i didn't get home until 2am. frustrating, but again the crew was nice about the mistakes."
Cons: "I was not able to cancel or freeze the flight, so I missed it."
Pros: "and was stuck with emergency exit."
Pros: "Leg space was pretty good"
Cons: "After landing to gate open took too long"
Pros: "Crew was polite, and boarding was good."
Cons: "The plane was hot and it never cooled off. Plus it was late. Passengers used seat back pocket cards to fan themselves and the crew seemed oblivious."
Pros: "Nonstop flight was great. Smooth safe ride"
Cons: "30 minutes late takeoff. It wouldn't have been too bad but we only found out after we boarded so sat on the plane for an hour before takeoff."
Pros: "Way too hot on plane without anyersonal air gens. Then it was freezing after takeoff"
Pros: "Went perfect !"
Pros: "Great crew."
Cons: "Power plugs were available but didn't work in our row, which I found out only after paying $26 for wifi for the entire flight, which I then was not able to use. Flight attendant said, hm, everyone else's is working."
Cons: "I didn't get a blanket or pillow"
"Great customer service. Safety and cleanliness. Fly delta."
"The TSA screening is absolutely unnecessary. It is dehumanizing and has been proven to be in-effective!"
Pros: "Sitting in the exit row"
Pros: "Great crew."
Cons: "Mask enforcement"
Cons: "Customer service, the app defies the laws of physics, it blows and sucks at the same time, and email says expect a reply in 3 weeks. United thanks you Delta, they just gained 2 new customers!"
Pros: "Crew was kind and helpful. Very clean and made sure we were able to sanitize and keep our area safe."
Cons: "Nos trataron con mucha seguridad de higiene y nos sentimos muy seguras de viajar con ustedes muchas gracias"
Pros: "Crew were great, loved having spare seats....Just a very welcoming flight."
Cons: "My screen on the Nashville to LA wouldn't let me watch the movie I wanted too but everything else was great. Glad they were there to get me home to Australia when other airlines weren't!"
Cons: "More cushion in exit row seats."
Pros: "Never went on the flight."
Cons: "Awful customer service"
Pros: "It was nice that the plane was not packed full."
Cons: "Box water instead of water bottles. The seat wasn’t very comfortable since it wouldn’t recline."
Cons: "The Seattle gate agents never said which flight they were calling and since neighboring gates were boarding at the same time it was very confusing and rather chaotic."
Cons: "It was a 4+ hr flight, so some food would have been good. Could have given protein shakes or something."
Pros: "Seat was average"
Pros: "Everything from hospitality to the ease of the flight. Captain communicated to put all at ease during this time in which this pandemic has gotten many fearful of flying. Great landing as well."
Cons: "Everything was great!"
Cons: "It was fabulous as always! Thank you. I love Delta!"
Pros: "excellent crew, efficient and fast boarding"
Cons: "Seats uncomfortable. Too narrow and I am a small person. Considering we paid to upgrade seats, they should be wider. Leg room was fine."
Pros: "I liked the polite friendly staff!"
Cons: "I wish you would give me more to complain about! Just kidding! No complaints"
Pros: "Everything! Thank you"
Cons: "Nothing. Thanks"
Cons: "It was canceled"
Pros: "They cared for the passengers, helped me with my baby’s bag"
Cons: "Nothing @ this time"
Cons: "We experienced a one hour ground delay at Sea-Tac which was unrelated to our airline. The pilot kept the passengers informed with timely updates, and we finally departed about when the pilot predicted we'd get away."
Cons: "Compared to Virhin Australia crew, Delta staff seem almost poorly trained in comparison. For example, Drlta crew don’t check your pass, don’t immediately move down the aisle to move along tourists busy discussing their seats and then line up for Boarding seems chaotic at best."
Pros: "Excellent service in most every respect! Boarding was easy, accommodations were quite ample, food was great, and the entertainment was plentiful."
Cons: "Slight problem with making my seat into a bed, which wasn't fixable. Movies were good, except for the trailers before and after each, which seemed to take forever! Didn't get the seats my wife and originally booked with China Southern/Delta, but the substitution was quite adequate! Problems with checking in on flights, as neither airline seemed to be able to deal with this split ticket! But they tried very hard to make thing up to us, which goes a long way to making us feel like we are valued customers!"
Cons: "I bought a ticket thinking i bought it through kayak but I actually bought a ticket through a third party in India. Where no one spoke good English. I called the agency to find out if I needed a Visa for my visit to Australia and the told me no. So when I showed up to the airport I didn’t have the right documents and I MISSED MY FLIGHT. Also the wouldn’t just change my flight and charge me the change flight fee. They cancelled my flight entirely and made me buy a whole new ticket!!! Worst flight experience I’ve ever had and this is not my first time flying to Australia or out of country."
Cons: "Was late almost for an hoir."
Cons: "Over an hour delay before boarding due to supposedly bad weather. Because flight was overbooked they were offering $400 gift card to change to standby on another flight. If you didn’t make that flight (evening), you’d be confirmed on a flight the following morning with one stop in Detroit (we booked a nonstop to Chicago). Uh, no thanks. Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."
Pros: "Amenities, service, and punctuation of flight"
Pros: "Over an hour late wth!!!"
Pros: "Best Delta flight so far."
Cons: "Flight was moved up from 830am departure to 6am departure with very little notice, and my layover was reduced from almost 2hrs to 30 minutes. Then, my bag was lost. Terrible."
Cons: "When I bought my ticket last Nov , I paid extra to select seats, only to discover no aisle seats available for the 15 hour flight from LAX to Guanghzou. I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."
Cons: "Partner site said it was Aeromexico. First flight was delta so different check bag policy for internal flight that cost me $80. Screw you all"
Pros: "Impeccable as usual"
Cons: "No tv on flight from Seattle to Los Angeles, I felt like I was flying United. That was the only thing that was extremely disappointing"
Pros: "On time flight arrival"
Cons: "Baggage Claim was very disorganized. They indicated bags were to be picked up at a carousel that was under construction. When we went to the service desk, they directed us to another carousel which was incorrect. There was no announcement made and there was a delay in updating the baggage claim board."
Pros: "Cabin crew and captain were great."
Cons: "Don't like how you don't get your seat assignment until you get to the gate. I was given the window seat in the very last row for a 6 hour flight, quite uncomfortable. I could've booked another airline for a similar price and picked the seat i wanted at booking. They ran out of food choices by the time they got to the last row, so we were given whatever was left. Delayed because one of the bathroom doors wasn't working, 30 min later still wasn't fixed and ultimately they decided to go without it."
Pros: "Mu seat!"
Cons: "My baggage took for to long to arrive"
Pros: "Nothing, they didn’t care about you or to help, the llady was so rude and unfriendly, this situation ruin my whole trip"
Cons: "I call in advance to paid the fees for baggage, I call Aeromexico because was the main airline for the fly, but Delta at Seattle made me paid again the fees for baggage’s even by phone they said that I didn’t need to paid. BE AWARE AND CAREFUL BECAUSE THE LADIES IN THE FRONT DESK didn’t even look the paperwork that you have in hand, they only want to charge you saying that your payment thru Aeromexico didn’t help you in the 1st fly. How this can happen when Delta and Aeromexico are two subsidiary one of another ?"
Pros: "The EXIT seat with nothing in front of me."
Cons: "The non-ability to pre book seating. Assignment not available until arriving at departure gate. No entertainment."
Cons: "Boarding process"
Pros: "Amazing service!"
Cons: "No drink or snack service. No trash pick up. No option to purchase or rent headphones"
Pros: "The service on board is always GREAT! in Aeromexico"
Cons: "The flight was canceled and we were put in another flight next night. But the staff in Buenos Aires run the situation chaotically and made mistakes that infuriated many passengers. They need more training to learn how to say "I am sorry" more often and know how to avoid getting into arguments with passengers."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and attentive, and the flights were punctual. I was assigned a good seat, and I appreciated the meal, as i was going to arrive in Mexico very late. I also enjoyed the entertainment options."
Cons: "I really have no negative comments."
Pros: "Staff on the plane was courteous although they skipped half of us for snacks & forgot some requests for water"
Cons: "Was not able to check in online. Was not able to select my seat online. I was told I would be able to do both of these things. Spent 30 minutes trying to find a number to someone at Delta to check in & select seat. I was in Australia & all Delta offices were closed because it was Sunday. Although I had an internationally calling plan, no calls to Delta US would go through. finally found someone through a back channel that would help me. We boarded an hour late, and staff would not answer any of our questions about what was going on or how late we would arrive (they sped up the fight so that we landed on time). Flight ran out of drinking WATER after the first service. Half of our section (Economy Plus) was skipped for snacks. An unruly child was allowed to scream for almost the entire flight & was running up & down the aisles. NOTHING was said to the parents by staff members. Was absolutely the worst behaving child with who I've had to fly."
Cons: "Got stuck for two hours sitting in the plane because the computer systems went down. Worst experience ever with Delta."
Cons: "Late and missed my international connection"
Pros: "Friendly staff and crew. On time efficient boarding. Security in SEA-TAC less than 5 min. Different snacks both flights. Prompt service. On time. Power sources at seats worked."
Cons: "Airport gate area in LAX filthy. No seats. Garbage cans overflowing. Bathrooms smelled like New Orleans street on a Sunday morning. Entertainment system broken."
Cons: "incredibly crowded seats"
Pros: "Everything happened as planed"
Cons: "Covid testing and requirements was stressful"
Cons: "On board Mask enforcement - was not done. The video controller buttons were on the arm rest. This presented a challenge to actually USE the arm rest for myself and my seat mates - we were constantly and inadvertently turning the monitor on."
Cons: "Terrible process for check-in. Unable to check in online for basic economy. If issue is with a bag then have customer take picture of carryon"
Cons: "Social distancing in the seating, the flight was booked every seat."
Cons: "Many other travelers were not wearing their masks and the flight was completely packed."
Pros: "Flight smooth. Not too crowded."
Cons: "Flight delayed."
Cons: "The 5 hour flight was extremely full. No chance of social distancing. Did not feel safe for my family."
Pros: "Great airline. Easy flight."
Cons: "Nothing, I love flying United."
Pros: "Everyone was nice and helped with any questions I had"
Cons: "Logging into the internet from the iPad"
Pros: "That the flight wasn't any longer than it was"
Cons: "A bit hot n stuffy"
Pros: "Was your standard airlplane."
Cons: "Plane was delayed due to a mechanical, then again because the cleaning crew didn’t do a good enough job the first time, then a seat mechanical, and then the truck used to back out onto the tarmac broke down"
Pros: "the flight attendants were a breath of fresh air. truly great client service, genuinely friendly. every person working at the airport that i encountered on my way to my flight was rude, disassociated, and honestly seemed to enjoy being petty while at their job. the moment i arrived onto the plane, the male flight attendant that greeted me was so kind, made sure i was okay, and was a source of much needed sincerety during the entire experience, as were the rest of the crew. thank you thank you."
Pros: "I liked the fact that they were quick to respond when asked a question."
Cons: "Lack of water. I was told I was only allowed 1 4 ounce cup of water from the galley per meal."
Pros: "Nothing, and I’m a very agreeable person.... Always"
Cons: "Every person employed by United is either overworked until the point of jadedness is issued with their first paycheck, or they get paid in Monopoly money. There were flight delays, and really I was good with that, but when I approached a staff member, he literally said “what do you want?!” Before I even opened my mouth. The phone lines are operated by someone in a foreign country. And after the flight caused me an overnight layover, they offer you a measly discount voucher for a place to stay. I can only hope that someone out there is getting better treatment than the poor people I saw on this flight, or at any united desk I attempted to get help from."
Pros: "The international flight was very good. Staff were excellent and very friendly."
Cons: "The international terminal at LAX is terrible as far as people being on hand or being able to offer assistance on getting to your next connecting flight. Getting 30 minutes to make a connecting flight that is on the other side of the airport with noone being able to tell you where your connecting flight is is almost impossible. The in-flight entertainment console was broken and was unusable during the flight. It would work for 5 minutes then glitch and the screen would flash until you stowed it away and waited 10 minutes to try again."
Cons: "My only real issue was that, upon checking in online, I was informed that my boarding pass would be emailed to me. I don't believe it ever was. I checked all of my various email folders, including spam, and saw nothing."
Pros: "We got earlier than anticipated."
Cons: "There is no food to offer unless you pay for it when you are asked. I got a bag of chips that isually goes for 1.99 at the store but they sell it for 4.99. They only give you 2 cookies and a drink for a 5 hour flight. The entertaiment was not present for 98% of the flight even when it says that wifi is available and to choose the movies or shows from their website. There's no disclaimer saying wifi does not work over the sea which was thru almost the entire flight. When you could finally connect to it, it wouldn't load. Most airplanes have an entertainment system in the back of the seat even for less than 3 hour flights but not on this one. Very disappointing."
Pros: "Although I arrived a few minutes late, the check-in agent managed to get my bag on the flight. When I missed my flight, the agent quickly got me on another flight (with a competitor airline), with no additional charge."
Cons: "The short (10 minute) boarding window contributed to me missing my flight (by a few minutes). Very annoying."
Pros: "I know it’s out of the hands of the airline but we were delayed due to weather. Luckily they booked us on another flight but it was the next morning."
Cons: "I know there are clauses saying that United does not have to do anything to accommodate you if it’s bad weather but we did not get anything for our inconvenience. Most airlines will seem to help you with hotels or food and whatnot if you had to be rebooked. We ended up booking a hotel through the Hotel Tonight for a great rate although it’s unrefundable. Turns out we get to the airport and our original connecting flight was severely delayed and we would have made it on to that flight. So either way we were stuck with a loss."
Pros: "The basic economy check-in is a good idea. Especially to control the overhead baggage situation."
Cons: "If you're going to have the basic economy ticket program, don't make me jump from Kiosk to Kiosk searching for a United Employee to help me when the yellow advisory screen pops up. I showed up 3 hours before my flight. There was no line. I had to wait 20 minutes for assistance. I can't imagine the amount of time to check-in closer to departure."
Cons: "The gang stalkers that Kayak and United let sit next to me."
Pros: "I liked the legroom of Economy Plus. The flight itself was good. Didn't buy any food."
Cons: "We arrived late in Denver and had to sit at the gate and wait for the jetway person to arrive and connect the jetway to the plane. I also didn't like the fact that I had to buy Economy Plus because my wife and I were not only not assigned seats together after booking, we were not assigned seats at all. When I booked the flights I was only allowed to choose seats for the first flight - Charlotte to Houston...but not for the other three legs of our Charlotte to Seattle trip. The only two seats together from Houston to Seattle were in the very last row. And, on our return flight we had to purchase Economy Plus in order to sit together."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and on time"
Cons: "The boarding gate attendants were rude and uncaring when we asked them to help us switch pre-assigned seats to ensure our two year old sat with us. While we might have understood better had they been empathetic, they were rude and uncaring and said when you book online you sign a waiver and they can not do anything about this. Wow. This was our flight back. Originally on the way to our destination we had used Delta and that customer service experience was completely different even though that flight was full too. Never flying United again as long as I can avoid it."
Pros: "The flight attendants"
Cons: "Well no movie screens, and when you get on the plane they say there is internet movies, but you need to download the ultimate app for United to have it work!! The internet was so slow I could not download on my iPhone 7 Plus with 256 gigabytes and well No Movie!!!! It is the first time that I have not watched or played something in maybe 40yrs!! Also I asked for a seat that would recline and they gave me the only seats that do not because the emergency exit was behind!! The had no sandwiches or salads, they only had chips, crackers, etc"
Cons: "Very negative about this company they did two times cancelation, at first was problem with lights in plane and we stay over an hour, then they say that the airplain has mechanical problems and we waited about one more hour, then they returned us to airport and we waited one more hour, finally after 3 hours they start to board us but service was horrible so rod boarding people. So I hade meeting with singing contract in the morning, I was late contract cancelled and I lose my money..... The company did not any compensation. I'm so Negative, negative, about this company, not recommended will never have again"
Pros: "Comfortable seats. Easy connection to movies."
Pros: "My lucky lucky butt"
Cons: "That I wasn't going to make my connecting flight because of delays which meant overnight in airport- they wouldn't put me in a hotel!! But I made my connecting flight.... Because it was suuuuuper delayed- no one's fault. So scratch that poor I'll give it 2 stars..."
Pros: "Barb M. was at the front desk at the United Lounge. She is an incredibly kind human being. I was very sick and this flight was delayed so it was going to cause me to miss my connecting flight overseas. She tried all that she could to rebook me on a different flight but the problem was the destination's air traffic control, not the airplane, so it wasn't going to fix the problem. I was able to rebook my connecting flight, at a cost, but at least I wasn't going to miss it. Barb went and made me hot tea with fresh ginger, mint leaves, and honey for my throat. Through a difficult situation, she was a ray of sunshine and kindness."
Cons: "Every time I travel United, it is delayed. I don't understand why. In this situation the problem was the airline so I understand that is beyond what United controls."
Pros: "The flight attendants were nice. Other than that, nothing."
Cons: "Maybe it's because I haven't flown in a few years but it seems that the airlines are packing in as many seats as they can, without regard to the passengers who are shoved into tiny seats for 5+ hours without even being able to stretch their legs. We were in the last row where you can't even lean your seat back but the guy in front of me was just about in my lap the whole flight. Charging for in flight entertainment and meals also seems like the airlines care less for customer satisfaction than the money they can get from passangers. While boarding, we were stopped in first class because the flight attendant was in the aisle getting drinks for first class...Before all the passengers boarded. Also, why is every flight told they get one carry on plus a personal item when that isn't really the case? If the flight is full, apparently there is not enough room for each passanger to have a carry on so people who have delicate items packed in their carry ons have to surrender them and pray their precious vacation purchases aren't smashed when they get their luggage back. Quantity over quality."
Cons: "I don't understand what the form is used for, based on the useless information it asks for. My flight was held from disembarking in order for the forms to be delivered upon landing, then distibuted to a plane full of.passengers pulling out carry-ons while asking to borrow ballpoint pens to fill out the forms before de-planing. I've been a Hawaii Island resident for 36 years and a State employee for 25 years. The effort required to input and process this data had better be rewarding for the state population and not another State 'make-work' chokehold on the travel industry. I realize the danger of invasive species in the state but does it really require a Completed form for Every passenger on Every flight to make a difference? Airline employees took their task Very seriously, BTW. Why?"
Pros: "On board shows were good."
Cons: "Flight left about 3-3.5 hours late. Add that to the time you have to show up early to the airport and I could've been almost home in my car. We were boarded and left to sit for a long time then the pilot came on saying the mechanic needed more time to look at the tire which might need to be changed. After another 15-20 min sitting, pilot comes on and says we need to get off the plane so the maintenance could be done. Ok I'd rather fly safe than be on time but really? Why doesn't this airline have enough planes that the maintenance can be done when the plane isn't scheduled to fly? So many people missed connections and we ended up getting home so much later than we had expected! Honestly I would rather the airline have emailed saying flight delayed 3 hours so I could have had more time in SF rather than sitting in an airport eating a mediocre airport meal for dinner. They had to have known the tire was almost to the point of changing right? I mean I would hope it's checked each flight. Just all together inconvenient. Like they book all theses flights to make money and yet if they had fewer but didn't make anyone waste the day or night at the airport so they could perform routine maintenance it may be worth an extra few bucks in my book. My time is valuable too, and I don't think I was the only one on the flight who thought so. Maybe United doesn't value anyone else's time other than theirs. Guess this is why we have several airlines to choose from and we will not likely fly United again."
Pros: "Likr the Gogo entdrtainment systrem."
Cons: "The GoGo app doesn't work with the Android phone I have"
Cons: "The terminal number on my ticket was wrong and when me and some other customers asked the flight lady what was going on she was of very little help. Not only that but she was making a personal phone call. So I had to rush to the other end and then just to find out that they didn't have enough room to put my carry on so I had to place it enbetween my legs which made for an even more uncomfortable flight. Also one of the flight attendant was particularly rude and kept saying she had to do her job in a very rude tone to the point were an older retired man told her he's worked too hard in his life time to be talked to like that. Overall the poorest plane experience I've ever had and I fly quite a bit."
Pros: "They definitely had more viewing choices in their entertainment than anyone could watch."
Cons: "The two big complaints are the food which was quite pathetic for a 14 hour flight - half of a cold sandwich and one cookie!!! Really?? They need to fly their competition and see how it should be done! The biggest complaint of all is their slight of hand baggage charges. If they're going to partner with another airline, they need some communication and agreement about pricing and allowances. Even though we are United Club members and credit card holders, we were charged nearly $400 to bring our luggage home, after paying just $30., yes, thirty, on Air New Zealand to take two extra bags! United's own overseas policy allows two bags, but they charged us anyway on return because we came on an airline that only allows one even though we paid ANZ to bring extra. Extremely illogical."
Cons: "We were connecting to this flight after flying in from Rome. Initially we were scheduled for an 8:30pm flight, but after landing early asked if we could change to an earlier flight. They graciously bumped us up to a 7:30pm flight, which trimmed our 4-hour layover down to 3pm. Cut to 6:15pm...we find out that the flight is not delayed AN HOUR due to a "late inbound flight." Long story short, the 7:30pm flight ended up departed later than the 8:30pm flight we were originally scheduled on so we didn't get to LA until after we were originally supposed to!!"
Cons: "Our flight arrived at LAX 20 minutes early so expected to get my connecting flight on time. Boy was I wrong, we sat inside the plane on the runway for over an hour. It was getting hot inside and people were getting upset about missing their connecting flights. We went around in circles on the runway, about 3 times. As people were getting agitated, so was the stewardess. Also people had to use the restroom, and the stewardess kept asking people to stay in there seats and she begin to lose her cool. What do you expect when your on the runway for over an hour. When people got to go, they got to go. So after finally arriving at the gate, "late" United did get me on another flight thru Alaska which was great. Will I fly United again, hmm I'm sure I will, One bad experience won't scratch them off my list, but I will choose other airlines first and United will be my last resort."
Pros: "I really appreciate them getting us there safely the crew was fine and it was nice to have tvs on each seat complimentary it really helps having something else to take you away mentally when physically your crammed together and it's really not comfortable or pleasant. I think the staff and crew were just fine though it's just flying has gotten to be something I don't enjoy and want to avoid as much as possible it's that way with most airlines though I think her blue is a little better on seat space and usually always has the tvs but yeah they are limited where they fly and it I is just expensive and uncomfortable to fly I think."
Cons: "Uncomfortable and expensive."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled they never told me , and after I explained to them I bought this ticket two hours ago because my grandmother and uncle were dying and I needed to get there, they lied to me told me I would be on a different flight and still get there at the same time. Well my flight was not the same time it was three hours different and if I made it there like they promised the first time I would have been able to kiss my grandma one last time. She died a hour before I got there. And now I'm fighting with them for a refund."
Pros: "The seats looked new."
Cons: "United had us board and unboard and then board again due to flight delays. United also told us the delay would be only 40 minutes, but I looked at the delay in SFO and it was 2 hours. Eventually United also increased our delay by 30 minute intervals until it was about 2 hours. Once I arrivied in SFO I got a text message notification stating my luggage had been put on an incorrect flight and I would have to return to get my luggage. The attendants at the podium were rude. This was my first terrible flying experience ever."
Pros: "Great entertainment system with lots of selections. Electrical outlets and USB port also great amenities but mine didn't work on the return flight."
Cons: "I am a small person and found the legroom to be inadequate. I paid $50 to upgrade the seats to economy plus to give us a bit more space but it wasn't any better. For a long, overseas flight, more space is needed. I had more legroom on my domestic flight with United. Also, the airline attendants for Air NZ were unpleasant and downright grumpy at times. It made a long, uncomfortable flight seem a whole lot longer. Attendants on my United Airlines leg was phenomenally more professional. Makes for a much happier passenger. Plane temperature was freezing on the return flight to LAX and oppressive on the flight from LAX to Auckland."
Cons: "Hour delay that made me miss my connecting flight. Customer service agent, Theresa, at the United gate was more interested in checking her cell phone text messages & handing out $10 food vouchers than the long of people who have conflicts with connecting flights or missing events in the destination they were flying to. Every minute lost could prevent customers from obtaining another immediate or comparable flight to their destination. Customer service agent sent those who were going to have problems with their connecting flights to the United Airlines service desk, of which, there were no customer service agents at any of the four available stations. I waited 10 minutes for an agent & no one arrived. When I went back to the original line I was standing in, I was forced to go to the back of the line rather than the place I was originally standing. Therefore I waited in line an additional 20-30 minutes. Once I was served they did not have any more seats available on direct flights to Melbourne. They wanted me to fly to NY, then Sydney & then Melbourne. Additionally the customer service agent did not seem confident this flight was not going to have any hiccups. Worst of all, I had been planning this trip for months & it was ruined by United Airlines."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "Airplane was damaged and united wouldn't rebook us until the flight was officially cancelled hours later. Then United provided only one service person to address all of the passengers needs so we had to stand in line for a couple hours longer. Then they had no hotel rooms to put anybody up for the night that couldn't get a flight until the next day. Then they gave us a measly $10 food voucher. Then our luggage was mishandled has still has not shown up to my house. Then because of the change in flights I had to rearrange transportation home at 1130 pm that cost me an extra $125. A very miserable day because of United's lack of being proactive and poor decision making given the situation and circumstances."
Pros: "Very friendly and helpful staff."
Cons: "The fact that we had a connecting flight to minot from Denver. Arrived late to Denver because of weather, but my stroller that I had left on the jetway in Seattle was never put on the plane which I didn't know until I got to minot. I was going to wait for it in denver, but I would have missed my flight to minot had I waited 5 more minutes. We arrived to minot only to find out that our 3 suitcases, one stroller and 2 car seats were never in the flight. Awful! And my connecting flight was even delayed an extra 55 min so I don't quite know where my things are."
Cons: "They held us on the plane from Indy to Chicago for so long that most of us knew we were going to miss our flights. I ran all the way to my gate to discover that the plane took off 10 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. I was told there were no other flights to LA and I would have to get a hotel until tomorrow. I was only going to be in California for 2 days so every second counts, so when I became upset the man checked again and found me a seat on a plane that took off in an hour. I was grateful but at the same time I was kind of displeased that he didn't offer that to me originally."
Pros: "The people I sat next to."
Cons: "I missed my first flight because the plane left 15 min early. I was at the gate before the plane detached and the guy said I should be on the plane 15 min before and that he wasn't going to stop the plane from going. I had a business meeting that I was trying to get to so him doing this completely ruined my day and purpose for flying and spending $300 on a flight. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. Once on my rescheduled flight the attendant made several comments about the fact that I had a pillow with me. If you don't know someone situation then you should make any comments at all. I had just finished a 5 day drive across country and unfortunately the pillow needed to get home with me. Not a single employee was kind welcoming or helpful. I will never fly with this airline again. I will be letting EVERYONE I speak to know about this experience and I plan on writing reviews wherever I can find."
Pros: "overall the trip was pleasant, i dont like my 1 carryon be selected to not go in the overhead when groups like couples or families get to take on a few - but i did receive my carryon in a timely fashion considering we were not let off board after 15 min of landing"
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "had a 1 hour lay over at LAX. I travel with a Service Dog. I had taken him out to the doggie poddy area. I came back in and had to have my Boarding Pass checked. They informed me that I would need to have my Boarding pass stamped for my dog. It took them 20 minutes to take care of it, by now I was running short on time to get to my flight. As I went through Security, I saw the TSA agent remove my laptop from the bin on the conveyer belt. I saw him lower it to the floor (I thought he was putting it in my bag). It wasn't until I got to Abq. that I realized my computer wasn't in my bag. I have contacted United, TSA, and LAX police. None of them have done a thing."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 4 hours and when I checked in the agents at the front desk offered me a $10 meal voucher to restaurants that were already closed, so it was basically useless. I had to walk to opposite end of the airport just to find something open. My seat and surrounding area were filthy. There was hard, crunchy food on the floor, the tray was sticky and the seat 'cushion' was rock hard. Being that I have a preexisting lower-back condition, sitting in that seat was horrible. When I asked a flight attendant for a wet rag to wipe the tray off they told me I could just switch seats and showed that they didn't care. Basically, it was a disappointing end to a great trip."
Pros: "The food actually was good, entertainment option were good."
Cons: "I encountered some of the worst staff ever on this flight. I was skipped over and completely ignored during more than once. I even told the guy I wanted water with ice when he asked me and then he starting socializing with others and skipped me. When I brought it to his attention he got all pissy with me. The other crew man was older and made me very uncomfortable. He was yelling at people constantly and made it very clear that he hates his job. This was the coldest flight I've even been on. Literally everyone was wrapped in their blankets and it still wasn't enough. The staff was told several times but refused to do anything. The guy in front of me had his seat row 39 middle left fully reclined back for the whole flight. Not once did anyone tell him to put it up during takeoff and meal times. He kept rocking the seat and spilled my drink in my lap."
"I had to cancel and kayak did not allow me to cancel? It was expensive and frustrating"
Cons: "I was delayed for 7 hours. This airline was the worst I have ever travelled with."
Pros: "Nice crew and flight was mostly on time."
Cons: "I had to pay double my ticket price in hidden fees - very frustrating and unexpected. Also, no drinks/snacks on board and no entertainment."
Pros: "Crew was nice enough"
Cons: "Pricing for carry-on and checked luggage is criminal. Not bad for short stays but nowhere near worth it for longer trips or times you want to bring anything back."
Cons: "They need to stop charging for carryon bags. Also they need more comfortable seats."
Cons: "Flight was completely full not one seat available. One guy did not wear a mask the entire flight and when attendants walked by he would fake put it over his mouth. How did they not notice!? It’s not my job to tell him but finally after 2 hours I broke down. They need to be looking at passengers mouths regularly!!"
Pros: "Crew was very nice."
Cons: "Seats are a bit uncomfortable"
Cons: "Check in bags. No one at ticket counter. Airport had to page a frontier employee to get to the ticket counter over the airport intercom. Pretty bad look for you guys. Embarrassing honestly. Seems like a disjointed company. As a result many people saying they wouldn’t take frontier again"
Pros: "Crew too busy talking to each other."
Cons: "Focus on passengers needs. Enforce COVID rules! Flight too full. $3.00 for a small bottle of water. $60.00 for a carry on ONE WAY is hwy robbery!"
Pros: "Price and availability of flight was good."
Cons: "The seating is cramped and uncomfortable but that’s not why you fly somewhere."
Pros: "We got to the destination"
Cons: "Not paying for hard seats. packed in like sardines."
Pros: "Wish I could think of something to write here."
Cons: "The on-line purchasing process did not function correctly. Was forced to call customer service and the rep I spoke with kept confusing departing and returning flights. The plane was late. My special zone 2 only boarding time was skipped and lumped with zone 3. The plane then had to wait for additional maintenance. The plane appeared to be... ancient. "Unlimited" coffee... was limited to two cups. A kid stuck a sex toy to the interior ceiling of the aircraft and despite a 10" purple silicon dildo hanging down, no staff member said a word."
Pros: "Was nice that they waited for 21 passengers instead of taking off on time. We’ll all get home a bit later now, but I’m sure that really makes all of their experiences better."
Cons: "The stewardess was quite rude and short tempered. It just put a different glow on the whole experience. It really made me miss flying Delta."
Pros: "A little cheaper."
Cons: "Frontier was a little cheaper than the competitors, so we decided to go with them. You get what you pay for! Pay the extra 20-30 dollars and go with someone else. The sets were paper thin, the food was so expensive for the smallest little snacks I've EVER seen, the flight attendants are snarky, and you have to pay for a carry on. So not worth it. Just fly American."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Cost of bags, not understanding person in terminal during boarding, plane seats; I keep saying we will NOT Frontier again. I must have been desperate."
Pros: "I boarded relatively quickly, but that was about the nicest thing about it."
Cons: "Well, the tray tables were about 5in x 8in and didn't slide forward, rendering it useless for basically anything. A laptop wouldn't fit anyway, but since it didn't slide out, the screen would have been tilted too far forward to properly see it as it was up against the seat and it was too unstable not to also hold my laptop while I sat there. With significantly less leg room than I've previously experienced on an economy class flight, laying down on the tray table to sleep was also impossible. When I first got on the plane, the air conditioner started and rather than feeling comfortable and less sweaty and gross, I just began to smell stale air that I was almost convinced was carbon monoxide as I was flying from Seattle and there had been smoke all around Washington due to forest fires. It was horribly uncomfortable and annoying even for sitting in coach. And I wasn't on an older or smaller airplane where I'd expect a little less concern for comfort, it seemed like it was very modern and it was a very large place. Leg room could have easily been increased by losing one to two rows of seats (seats that would most likely be empty anyway I might add). Airplanes tend not to be the most comfortable mode of travel anyway, but I would say this was the worst one."
Pros: "On the flight was OK. The flight crew was kind and friendly despite everyone being a little annoyed at the boarding process. Gotta say though I feel a little nickel and dimed on Frontier as you actually have to pay $3 for a can of coke that costs 25 cents. It doesn't take much to offer a beverage service other than water to make the flight a bit more enjoyable, but getting charged for everything makes things more stressful than needed."
Cons: "I got to the gate 5 minutes before boarding and there was no one there. I walked around for a bit came back and asked some flight attendants working the flight what time they were actually going to board and they couldn't be bothered to help telling me to check my ticket and that is when the flight will board (the time on the ticket was already 10 minutes ago)! After an hour went by and a very large crowd formed at the gate and absolutely NO update or any communication as to when boarding would be they finally started boarding. Very disorganized boarding process. Just wish someone would have provided an update or something, so I could have gotten something to eat instead of hanging around the gate for an hour."
Pros: "Literally nothing."
Cons: "I charged the airfare, thinking that would be all, like other airlines. Then I found out they charge for luggage. THEN I found out they charge me for a seat... on the flight I already paid for. Boarding was disorganized, seats were thin padding on plastic, quite uncomfortable. I also had to clean crumbs and trash off my seat before settling in. They charge you 2.99 each for water and airline peanuts; i didn't partake. they only gave me one boarding pass and when I boarded the plane, they said that is was the flight to Denver and then they were continuing on to Columbus. I assumed this meant I stayed on the plane when we landed in Denver, but no, they informed me the plane was then going to Cedar Rapids. I had no second boarding pass or gate number, so I asked the attendant. She took forever to help me, looking up my info for a minute and then talking to the other attendants and passing out papers to the boarding crew before acknowledging me again. Twenty minutes later, I had my gate, which I barely made to board in time for flight takeoff. Overall, the process was stressful, uncomfortable, and more expensive than if I had purchased a flight from Delta, Southwest, or Alaska. (All airlines I have flown and been happy with. Delta had a missed layover once and completely put me up for the night and was very helpful through the whole affair.) All said and done, I will not be flying Frontier again."
Cons: "My flight from LAX-DEN was delayed. Ended up missing my flight, as well as my flight from DEN-CIN. We as passengers were not told where to go (we waited two hours to hear any kind of news). We were told that the Frontier staff would know what was going on at the DEN airport once we arrived, but they did not. We then waited another hour to be told where to go. I was given a voucher for my hotel, food and transportation. However, my transportation voucher did not work. I waited over an hour for a bus that never came. My transportation in the AM back to the airport was not covered either. I ended up paying money out of pocket both times when it should've been free of charge. The staff on the airplanes were OK, although at times unprofessional."
Pros: "The trip from Seattle to Denver was fine--We boarded on time and arrived in Denver on time. No problems."
Cons: "There was a long line of people waiting at the airport for agents to arrive and get us checked in. We were all getting anxious. I feel the cost of checking the suitcase was WAY too expensive. $45.00 is alot and other airlines charge $25.00---Where are the days of being able to check one suitcase and not have to pay extra???"
Pros: "The crew was great. The pilot lightened the mood with humor and the announcements were useful ( weather, time zone changes, ETA etc... ). The plane was clean and the price was low."
Cons: "You have to pay forty dollars for a carry on and for any beverage or snack on the flight. There was confusion about the seats as we boarded, which we did by zones, but still had aisle traffic which defeated the purpose. My connection was moved to another gate and they failed to announce it ( yes it was on the screen, but I don't travel that often and was lucky to notice it just as we were boarding... luckily just a few minutes walk away ). The plane offers no entertainment at all ( which is fine for me, but worth knowing... bring a dvd player or something for long trips )."
Cons: "I had to pay 40 dollars to check my bag or 45 to carry on with me. Ladies were accommodating when asked to change my seat from a middle to an aisle which was nice as I wasn't given the option to pick my seat while purchasing but when I arrived to my seat a grandmother was sitting with her grandchildren. I of course was not going to ask anyone to move, so I was ushered off to the next available seat. Was happy to let a family sit together but was not please with the lack of profession to begin with."
Pros: "Arrived fine."
Cons: "Long overnight lay over in DEN was poor. I knew about it, but Frontier might have some place to crash besides the floor."
Pros: "Timeliness, rapid boarding, departure and arrival. Cleanliness. Price"
Cons: "No snacks, only water is complimentary. Seats are ok, no wifi to connect to, no reclining seats, no in flight entertainment. Have to pay for everything including carry on."
Pros: "Waited for 50 mins on tarmak after being told we were going to be 30 mins early. Moved meetings and then had to move again. Not okay"
Cons: "Upon boarding the plane one of the flight attendant asked me if i had a vest or identification for my service animal. Though I had verified on my boarding pass i had a service animal she continued to question me whether or not my dog was a service animal. I told her that the American Disability Act does not require me to show identification to anyone, that the only thing she is legally to ask is what type of service animal and what she is trained to do. Anybody can go on google and get a service animal vest and identification by many false companies without even presenting their dog to someone. She threatened to call the captain and i told her to go ahead. Instead she came back with what im guessing was a frontier handbook showing me that i was require to have a vest and id. I told her that that was not correct and she swore up and down that was federal law... a frontier handbook.. federal law. The american disibiliy act is federal. She humilated me in fromt if everyone in the back of the plane. I was si upset. I have hearing aids because of my hearing loss. My service animal is a hearing dog and i take her everywhere with me because she alerts me to things around me that i cannot hear. She is my doorbell, my ringtone, my alarm when i cant hear those things. She eventually let it go after humilating me and completly upsetting me. No one with a service animal should ever have to go through that, my 6 hour flight was the longest flight in my life. Was so uncomfortable being there after that run in with her. I had already checked her in as a service animal at the front gate whybshe felt the need to get in my face about it, i dont know! Trust me, i will be following up with this."
Cons: "The company messed up my name but somehow couldnt fix it. Then their over the phone customer service told me it was my fault. My fault that you guys mashed my whole name together? They messed up my TSA precheck and refused the fix it. I requested supervisors to call me back but of course no one ever followed up. AVOID AT ALL COST!"
Pros: "Once we actually got in the air the flight was fine. Didn't take too long and the crew were lovely in getting us what we needed."
Cons: "We were delayed because of weather first at the gate and then for almost 2 hours after we boarded but were left on the tarmac unable to take off. This is the part that bothered me the most. Perhaps the airline didn't know we would be held that long but on the plane once they told us the crew also got a bit annoyed after 2 hours when everyone needed to get up to use the bathroom which should have been expected since they literally had us waiting and going no where for that entire time. This situation could have been handled better and communicated more clearly upfront to the passengers. It probably didn't make a lot of sense to board us to only have us wait another 2+ hour stretch."
Pros: "Nothing I can think of."
Cons: "Ridiculously little leg room. Tray table the size of a kindle. Metal backing on seats left me feeling less safe. Found out I'd be charged for carry on when I got to airport. Tried to pay online so I'd get the cheaper fare (upon return), but the site made it impossible to choose the add carry on option. Ended up costing me an additional $90. Also, I was not allowed to use kiosk for check in. It told me I was required to go to check in through service rep. No line at kiosk. Huge line for service rep. Cost me precious little time I had left to spend with friend before flights left. I was also bothered by the moving around of people during boarding. They asked for 8 people to volunteer to be moved to the front of plane. But the open exit row seat...that'll be an additional $50. Ridiculous."
Pros: "Checking my bag was quick and easy but it would have been better had cash been accepted."
Cons: "Charging for a coke? Seriously?!?! The stewardesses were not very personable and ate and chatted amongst themselves for most of the flight."
Pros: "Lights turned off at night, not a lot of announcements to disturb sleeping passengers. Plane was clean. Crew seemed fine enough."
Cons: "To begin with, a three-hour delay on what was already just a four-hour flight, and no steps made to even offer snacks or discounts or other amenities to apologize for the gross delay. Very uncomfortable seats; even dead tired, I could not get much sleep. I usually use the food tray as a place to rest my head, but it was far too small to use for that. Upon landing, another 45 minutes of delay as we waited for our gate to become free, and again, no measures taken to apologize or make us as customers feel like they wanted us to feel even a little bit better about the situation. I get that it's a cheap flight option, but even so, the company needs to take more responsibility for its internal problems."
Cons: "Got to the airport 2 hours early to check in. The kiosk told me to see an attebdant. No attendants were at the Frontier desk. The nearest employees (jetblue) told me yesterday that the Frontier employees never showed up and that people missed their flights. My flight along with several other people who were waiting as well, seemed to have either been cancelled without alerting us. My confirmation number didn't register on the kiosk a half hour after I originally tried it. No employees ever arrived to the desk. Having to go to United to buy another ticket. I would expect either a full refund or a travel voucher in replacement. I paid 300 dollars and had to arrive 6 hours later than originally planned. As I live three hours from the Denver airport, this will get me home at 1 am. I have to be at work tomorrow at 7am. I will never fly frontier again."
Cons: "Tried to cancel this flight using the flight insurance I was up sold during checkout. Turns out that the flight insurance was only available for international flights? When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled. It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. HOURS I tried to call, and could not get a rep. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed. In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam."
Cons: "It is very clear that Frontier is a budget airline that prioritizes money over people. Right down to the unnecessary announcement that you may not drink your own 'minis' but are required to purchase their liquor (at ridiculously inflated prices). The pretty girls who approached us and offered perks...for a price as we queued for more than an hour simply to check in, made me feel even more like faceless animal prey with dollars in my pockets. I will not fly Frontier again, no matter how 'cheap' their tickets."
Pros: "The flight crew, and the view out the plane. I did enjoy the minimalistic seat design, which probably allows for more people per plane."
Cons: "The hidden fees, frontier wanting you to pay to pick your seat location after already purchasing the ticket. That is really lame. No complementary beverage (not even water) or snack on 3 hour flight... also lame. Frontier claims to be affordable airfare but has you pay for way more than just the plane ticket after the fact. I opted to not pay to pick seat location and was able to still sit next to my friend but I bet there are a good amount of people who have a family and feel pressured to spend way more money to pick seats so they are not separated. Just makes frontier seem like a money hungry company that cares more about money than it's customers. The flight home (Denver to Seattle) was an hour and a half late, which sucks, but whatever life happens. I didn't really like the airbus plane that made weird plane noises, why do you not use Boeing planes?"
Pros: "Newer jet, clean, smooth flight"
Cons: "Two of the three flight attendants were a little obnoxious. Before we took off, the female African American attendant openly said that people weren't listening to her about stowing carry on bags and said "this is like dealing with a bunch of 2-yr olds" uncalled for in my opinion. The only male attendant was insincere on his announcements and it's the first time I've ever flown (hundreds before) where on two occasions he asked for people to clean up after themselves. Also the lines at the sole checkin desk in Seattle was too long. Should have had more than one person checking people in. I'd not recommend this airline if I was asked today what my opinion was."
Pros: "Flight times"
Cons: "Terribly uncomfortable seating -- the worst I've ever experienced; horrible baggage charges for carry-on and checked, both -- and lack of straight-forward discussion of fees which are, at the very least, semi-hidden; the only time since People's Express that I've not been offered a soft drink or juice w/out a charge. Terrible baggage handling and lack of assistance and information regarding the extreme lateness of checked bags being produced for the entire flight at baggage claim. Will not fly Frontier again unless assured of corrections to all of these problems."
Pros: "The crew was kind and professional."
Cons: "I have never been charged $40 for a carry on. I suppose I missed some fine print about that, however it seems absolutely rediculous. The airplane seats feel more like bus seats. They do not recline and are missing a head rest or anything resembling a cushion. The airlines seems to gouge you for anything they possibly can. Even their bitter airplane coffee costs $2. I am actually surprised I wasn't charged for bringing on a jacket. I almost had to switch flights and after speaking on the phone with one of their representatives found out that if they do that over the phone there is a $50 service charge (for speaking to someone on the phone) on top of the $100 change fee and decided against it. I will absolutely never fly Frontier again. There are many other low cost options that include basic amenities like normal seats and free carry on luggage. Seriously, don't fly Frontier."
Cons: "First leg of our trip was delayed so we could not make our connection. We were told they could fly us to Denver and catch other flight home 3 days later or completely rebook to the next closest city. (They do not partner with anyone so you are stuck with their flights) Which we then needed to book a hotel, cab fares to the megabus station, then cab fares back to our original destination. Once arriving, and even though we checked in hours before our flight, our baggage was missing along with about 10 other passengers. Frontier had no one at their baggage service when we arrived. So I had the drive 2 hours back the next day. Called the help line. The person was rude and began getting loud with me, even though they are the ones that lost our bags. 90% of all the customer service people we encountered were extremely rude and would not help. Nor were they very accommodating for all their mess ups. For all our troubles, the rude "customer service" people, and out additional hundreds of dollars; Frontier sent us a coupon for a whooping $50 to use on their airline. No thanks, will never fly this airline again."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing, I hated everything about this flight."
Cons: "I've never experienced a worse flight. The people checking our bags were extremely rude, didn't even make eye contact. Our plane arrived 1 hour late. You would think the bad news would end there, right? Nope! When we were all seated, they were having problems with the computer, that itself took 1.5 hours. Our flight was over 2.5 hours late! Anyways, when we landed, they told us to go to carasel A. After standing next to carasel A for 20 minutes, we find out that we had to, in fact, go to carasel B. I have never been this disappointed with a flight in my entire life, and I travel a lot. I will call the frontier supervisor and talk to them regarding this matter personally. I will not just let this one go."
Pros: "The only thing to praise was the smooth take-off and landing."
Cons: "This airline is deceptive from the get go. Their seemingly "low fares" are quickly offset by their outrageous fees for baggage and carry-ons and everything else. $35 to $40 for a carry-on, or checked baggage, and even if you pay the money to bring a carry-on, there is an additional $40 fee to store it in the overhead bin! Another catch is if you do not pay for all these fees before arriving at the airport, Frontier may charge you $60 at the airport. None of these charges are evident when initially booking the flight online but only when checking in. I called the airline to voice my disbelief over these fees and was treated very coldly and was told that Frontier is an "a la carte" airline. On the ground, my flight was almost an hour late though the reader board continually boasted of the flight being "on time." (My wife and I barely made our connecting flight in Denver). Ground crew in Seattle were not personable in the least. Many folks around us were equally put off by all the up-charges they were being told about. On board you will discover the seats are hard plastic with little cushioning and do not even recline. Forget about wi-fi or charging your phone or laptop. Non-alcoholic drinks $2. I jokingly asked if I put my coat in the overhead, would be charged $40? Crew member did not appreciate the humor. Everyone else did. Perhaps if you are a college student traveling with a small backpack (i.e, a "personal item") and don't care about comfort to save a buck, you might be happy with Frontier, However, for the rest of us, this kind outfit is a joke. I will never use recommend much less us this airline again. Do yourself a favor and book your next flight on a reputable airline."
Pros: "This was my first time on Frontier. Like any other airline the process from getting on the plane to my destination was just like any other. I had low expectations, as I do with nearly every flight I go on and was pleased by the fact that nothing was truly below my expectations."
Cons: "I'm fine with the lack of entertainment on a flight considering most people bring laptops and tablets and other ways to keep themselves occupied. I never pay for in-flight food or beverage because of the prices but was kind of surprised nothing was complimentary. Not shocking by any means considering the price of the ticket. I was under the assumption there two separate fees for baggage, one if you preferred to check a bag and one if you carried on a bag. Had I of known that my carry-on would be checked I would have brought a larger luggage container to get the most for my money. Again, though, hard to beat the price of the actual ticket."
Pros: "The stewardists were nice."
Cons: "It is insane how terrible Frontier has become. They were the first airline, and used to be the only airline I would fly. They now are gimmicky, money pinching, and obviously have no care for their customers. I will never fly Frontier again, not just because of these concerns, but also because these concerns lead me to worry about who they hire to fly the plane. I would imagine if they care so little as to not have a person there to check bags in, that they probably would also save a couple bucks to pay an inexperinced flight captain, who could make a deadly mistake. I arrived at SeaTac airport early with my girlfriend so that we could eat before her flight together at a real restaurant that is after security. Nobody was there to check me in. Luckily all of my liquids were under the limit. So decided to check my bag at the door, the first go it turns out frontier is the only airline you can't use your phone to scan your ticket at security. BOGUS! I kissed my girlfriend goodbye and went to print out a ticket. I then went througb security AGAIN and was taken aside for additional screening for things in my check bag that i SHOULD NOT have had on me would Frontier had the decency to pay someone $10/hour to be at the front. My baby powder got yellow flagged at this additional screening and i had to be patted down, empty out all my bags and sit as I has humuliated by the TSA as they thoroughly looked through and checked all of my footwear and electronics for explosives. This took an additional half hour. I then missed lunch with my girlfriend completely, as she had to get on her flight. The lady checking me in was nice enough and took care of the checked bag issue as it was obvious from her reaction that this happens all the time. Frontier then while on the flight does a 3 minute gimmiky talk about buying their credit card, everyone made fun of it. Just insane, did a bunch of used car salesmen buy Frontier? It sure seems like it. I will never fly Frontier and will urge all the people I know to do the same."
Pros: "The plane didn't crash."
Cons: "Many years ago, I was an Early Rewards member who flew Frontier any time I could. No longer. The ticket price no longer resembles what you will pay. Now they charge $15-35 to get a seat, another $30-$35 to check or carry on each piece, and sit in uncomfortable seats that do not recline. These extra charges cause long delay at the check in counter even if I already checked in and only needed to check a bag because everyone else had to pay. Now I'll only fly Frontier if there is no alternative."
Pros: "There wasn't anything clearly that I liked. There were some things that I was able to tolerate however."
Cons: "Although the price of the flight itself was cheaper than other airlines it's really not worth it. For one, you often pay a lot more than the stated price of the flight. You pay for such "extras" as obtaining preboarding seats online, checking luggage at the terminal (instead of online), obtaining seats that recline, obtaining seats with "extra legroom" (for a mere $50 one way), on board nonalcoholic beverages and even water were extra. In addition the cost for carry-ons and extra luggage was considerably higher than other airlines. Frontier doesn't coordinate with TSA, so your TSA preboarding clearance is worthless. But worst of all were the seats. Very little padding and the nonstop flight of 4 1/2 to 5 hours was really misery. Of course you could bring on a seat cushion with you, but that would cost extra.. Even with all of this, I probably saved a few bucks my flying Frontier. But really, life's too short to see how much misery I can put up with just to save a few dollars. I won't be flying this air airline again. Frontier might work for young healthy men and women who are taking short brief trips, who don't carry any luggage and who don't mind sitting on a seat that feels like a wooden bench."
Pros: "The crew was really nice. Plane took off on time and arrived early. Smooth flight."
Cons: "So bare bones as to make you feel almost unsafe, like you would probably be charged a safety premium if you wanted to ensure no turbulence. The only thing offered to you if you don't pay for it is water. Frontier also opts not to participate in TSA Pre-Check, which would be a small fee to them but would save much aggravation for their customers. You will be forced to sit through a 5-minute (seriously) announcement about why you should sign up for their credit card, then get reminded about it twice before you land -- if they are seeing the flight as an opportunity to run a commercial, you should at least get something for it! I think the carry-on policy is ridiculous -- however, I brought on my backpack, which fit under the seat in front of me, and then when everybody was clearly boycotting the overhead bins I just put it up there anyway. Zero entertainment options on my flight so come prepared."
Cons: "Ticket looked cheaper than other airlines, but I paid just as much once you add on the price of your carry on ($30 for one bag - one way), your seat selection (from $9 - $30 just to have an assignment), and even your soda ($2). I spent an additional $156 above the ticket price for my wife and I to attend a funeral. That came out to $45 "savings" than flying on a major airlines would have cost. I will gladly pay the additional $45 next time and have a better experience on an airline that it still trying."
Pros: "It's so nice to not be bombarded by mircrowave radiation durint the flight, thank you for not having wi-fi onboard, we appreciate it!"
Cons: "Seats could be more comfortable"
Cons: "Plastic seats that don't recline, passing for a carryon, having to move out of my seat that I paid for to "balance" the Airbus 320 I was flying on."
Cons: "I get their and theirs no one to check me in. I was an hour early and a half early and yet,I didn't see anyone at the front desk. I kept asking the flight group next door if they Had a clue weather or not they were their, and all I got for an hour str8 is " they'll be back shortly ". They never came. I missed my flight. And important meetings in Texas. Now I'm Re-schedule for Friday. When I'm Suppose to Be their Before Thursday. And besides all the "BS" they Charge You Extra and Hella Expensive on the Baggage and carry on. It's like ur Buying a House with all the Hidden Fees they Don't Mention. ***Worst Experience Yet"
Pros: "Nothing bad service I’m not going to use spirit ever again"
Cons: "Everything was bad"
Cons: "Sport seems cheaper in price but they really are not. Thank charge for carry on bags and claimed bags double then other airlines do. For the overall price I’ll go to another airline where it’s the same amount of money overall and way better comfort"
Pros: "Wide aisles"
Cons: "Pay for carry on, pay for soda beverage, Probably pay to use bathroom"
Pros: "In flight staff was nice and there was a cute service dog sitting across from us haha"
Cons: "Smallest seats I have ever had on a plane. Was cramped even though My boyfriend and I are both pretty small. The first airline I've flown that doesn't even offer tea or juice without a charge. We missed our first flight coming in, they didn't allow us to receive credit or a refund for the checked baggage fee we paid even though we didn't end up flying with them for that flight and said that it would cost us $100 to reschedule our flight to the next day (we ended up purchasing a same day flight with Alaska instead) Ground level staff was rude and unhelpful despite us being very polite and understanding of their policies. Spirit will charge you for EVERYTHING. By the time you've completed your flight, its possible to have paid double of the initial ticket charge. First time I have ever had such a poor airline experience."
Pros: "The crew was young and fun. Plane was clean and maintained very well. Had heard some really bad things but if you don't mind getting everything a la carte it's perfect."
Cons: "When calling for boarding everybody at the gate just kinda rushed forward, not paying any attention to sections."
Cons: "I usually don't care too much about my flights from LA to Seattle since it's only a 2 hour flight. This was my first time with spirit and it was horrible from start to finish. Staff was unfriendly checking my bag in (I had to pay $82 for ONE checked bag), boarding the plane was a complete unorganized mess, the flight was bumpy and uncomfortable, the beverage I asked for on the flight was out of stock, the landing was horrific. By far, worst 2 hours on a plane I've ever experienced."
Pros: "Great crew with a sense of humor to go along with the service"
Pros: "Check in was quick. We were given option to upgrade seat to exit row which we accepted for more leg room. Lower ticket cost definitely gets offset by having to pay for seat selection and baggage fees."
Cons: "Flight was delayed. Then moved back to original time which made us scramble. Then we ended up waiting because flight was delayed again. There is also very little info in advance as to what the gate or even the terminal are going to be."
Cons: "Please do not use FlightNetwork as a third party booking service anymore. When I first booked my ticket through them, after finding the deal on kayak, they sent an email saying that the flight booking was pending. I had to call them to confirm they had actually booked the flight. Then they mispelled my email so I didn't receive a confirmation email from spirit until I called the airline directly. And then I found out that not only had FlightNetwork collected $20 for their poor services they had charged me for my flight in addition to spirit charging me for my flight. I was doubly charged for the same flight and was only alerted to it because I was skeptical of FlightNetwork's business practices and decided to double check my bank account. I am now in the process of getting a refund from FlightNetwork. I urge you to discontinue business with them as this experience seems to be characteristic of their company. My partner's flight was booked incorrectly and FlightNetwork's track record on Yelp is incorrigible."
Pros: "Leg space in plane."
Cons: "Unknown fees for everything."
Pros: "2 hrs"
Cons: "2 hrs delay. With not notifying. No updates and No one was at the gate until last second to boarding. This is my 2nd time with spirit. And the same happened. I Never ho with spirit. I had to pay for laugage that all airlines have a free carry on."
Pros: "They boarded quite fast"
Cons: "They charged for every baggage that you have. The carry ons for other airlines are free, and just pay $25 for check-in. For them, you pay $52 for the carry-on, and another $52 for the check in baggage, and it if check in exceeds 40 lbs, pay another $30. WOW! Just WOW!"
Pros: "The boarding was quick."
Cons: "There is no leg room AT ALL! Cheap means more money. I was lured in by the low base fare. After paying for 1 carry on and having to pay for a seat, I paid $50 than if I would have stayed with Alaska or Delta. I understand the "no frills" pitch, but this DOES cost more money. Never again."
Cons: "They charge for everything, claiming that they save you money by charging only what you use, but their price are not even cheaper than other economy airlines that are giving all these amenities for free anyway, that's part of service. I guess they don't know what that means or they are owned by Walmart. Especially with $30-$100 carry on fee, that's a pretty expensive ticket."
Pros: "Spirit is a low cost airline. You save money flying with them as long as you only bring one personal item and print your boarding pass from home."
Cons: "Leg room is small and not comfortable for taller people. There is nothing provided in the flight."
Pros: "a nice smooth landing on my return flight. nothing else."
Cons: "spirit airlines has a shiester way of doing business. you think you are getting a good price, so you book the ticket. the minute you check in you are trapped into additional excessively high costs. you literally cannot even get a glass of water free . it's $3 on a credit card. and the whole flight is like a loud infomercial. they constantly push you to sign up for credit cards. not my kind of airline. it's shady. i would give zero star rating if it was an option."
Pros: "I liked that the plane didn't crash."
Cons: "Everything. The nickel and diming is ridiculous - I'm surprised that they didn't charge to use the bathroom. More "go"? More like more "go take your money someplace else". All in all it cost me more to take this flight than something more typical, after the $55 carry-on baggage fee. The check-in attendants also conveniently forgot to tell me that NONE of the seats on the plane recline after I asked about it re: emergency exit row seats. Worst flight I've ever been on, hands down."
Pros: "Both flights were delayed. Very unorganized."
Pros: "Cost online appeared to be very good"
Cons: "Not clearly presented were "purchase" options, like having a carry-on which cost $55 if purchased at the gate, $45 if purchased right online, Big problem: I was not emailed an online prompt to check-in, so I had to check in "manually" at the airport terminal. I was told the carry-on baggage fee right at the gate would be $100! But the agent gave me a discount and I was "only" charged $45. I was not able to reach anyone by phone or by online chat re checking in or paying extra charges for a personal carry-on. I felt a bit set up to pay extra because Spirit was not informing me of the need to check in online and/or the need to pay extra for a checked bag."
Pros: "1. Cheap tickets. The catch? You have to pay for carry-ons. Depending when you pay for it, you can end paying for carry-on more than the cost of the ticket. 2. Do you have TSA pre? Doesn't matter because they do not partner with TSA pre so you will end in the slow checkpoint. 3. You couldn't print your boarding pass? Bad news, they do not support Apple wallet or electronic boarding pass. 4. You want to check your luggage or print your ticket at the counter? They are only available for 4 blocks of ~ two hours during the day (SEA). 5. Can't choose your seat unless you pay extra. I prefer to pay twice rather than fly on Spirit again."
Pros: "They upgraded me. The upgraded seat was very spacious. The staff was nice. Very punctual. Easy/fast to board and deplane because people don't have tons of bags. Overall, super easy and no frills, which I liked."
Cons: "No TSA pre-check at Seattle? People need this... Luckily, the nice guy at the check-in counter helped to get me through, but otherwise I would have missed my flight. No option to purchase wifi?"
Pros: "The price? And that they gave me a full refund (assuming it processes)."
Cons: "I knew what I was buying when I bought a ticket from Spirit - bare bones flight from A to B. Unfortunately they just couldn't execute on that, otherwise I'm a fan of the business model. Hopefully someone can pull this off because I appreciate the low fares, but Spirit doesn't have it together enough to do it."
Pros: "Crew were friendly, although a bit too relaxed some sitting scrolling through facebook on phones once the plane had landed. Planes were clean. Even though we had to circle for ages as windy at LAX, Captain kept us well informed."
Cons: "Website was down so there was no way to check in online. System was down at SEA-TAC so boarding cards could not be printed resulting in having to wait for ages then was given a handwritten boarding pass.other customers with printed passes were being turned away at TSA line. Baggage prices are ridiculous, you have to pay for carry on AND checked luggage. I had neither but even so my flight wasn't THAT cheap so glad I didn't have to pay the extortionate fees on top of that too. I flown budget many times in Europe but Spirit is very basic. I wish my fare had reflected this otherwise I wouldn't have moaned!"
Cons: "They lost our checked-in bag. The customer service call line was all automated so we couldn't talk to someone in person to see if we could track our bag."
Cons: "Felt worse after a 2 hour flight than when I fly to Europe. No space. Seats don't recline. Bags took 45 minutes to show up. Awful. Never again."
Pros: "Flight into LAX was experienced and the pilot landed well."
Cons: "You get excited cause the ticket is cheap, then you have to pay for everything. The motto this trip was, "do I have to pay extra for that?" If you are going with a backpack and that's it, this might be the ticket for you. But if you were like me, and needed to take more than a toothbrush for three days, you have you pay for luggage, then pay for water, and boarding passes, and CARRY ON BAGS. The list goes on and on. Spirit doesn't care about you, just your money. I will shell out the extra bucks to get at least a water and a seat that reclines. I will be warning everyone I know about how terrible Spirit was, and I personally will never fly this airline again."
Pros: "easy boarding, easy flight, and on time arrival"
Cons: "tried to purchase carry-on bag before check-in and i was charged the higher check-in charge. I also could NOT pay for my carry-on bag without signing u to ne a member and giving them all my personal info that I did not wish to give. Too many non-consumer-friendly aspects to getting involved for the first time. The discounted rate, after all the hassle and extra charges was no less than other bargain websites could get me on more reputable airlines"
Pros: "It's really cheap, and the crew is really nice."
Cons: "They don't offer us food, maybe a really really cheap snack would work? And they kinda having delayed for 2 hours, but they give us cashback though for it, but its only in two months..."
Pros: "I enoyed my flights to Seattle and back to los Angeles"
Pros: "I liked that the fare was cheap."
Cons: "Self-deprecating jokes from the crew about how they charge for bags, food, and oxygen."
Pros: "Courteous flight attendants who seemed to be happy with their job."
Cons: "Yes, the tickets are cheaper, but the one personal item really is just your purse/handbag/backpack. Carry-ons cost $55. If you check the carry-on it's only $50. We misread this policy and felt a bit 'bamboozled' by it. Also, don't be late for check-in. If you're not checked in 45 minutes before domestic flights, you're late."
Pros: "Maybe the price."
Cons: "A mistake on my part or their part in the times of my returning flight left me unable to return. Spirit has no customer service number so I couldn't contact them to try and solve my problem. As a result I had to buy a new ticket from Alaskan, which is a much better airline. Plus spirit charges $55 for carry on. WTF!?? I will never use this airline again even if it saves me a few bucks."
Cons: "Constant pitching and threatening about paying for bags. Constant yammer on the plane about offers etc. Money, Money, Money is all they talk about!!!!"
Pros: "Hard to like anything when I was already in a bad mood because of the delay."
Cons: "Flight was 3 hours late. I had to wait with my daughter and mother for 3 hours until we finally boarded at 1AM."
Cons: "I missed my flight because I had the wrong flight info so ended up buying another ticket and booking a hotel!!"
Pros: "decent crew. i love the cut and dry-point a to b flights that are cheap."
Cons: "doesnt seem to be your fault, but both flights (cheapest) went through LAX. and both flights were 2+ hours delayed. either go through another airport or i'll pay a little more for much, much better service."
Cons: "First of all I tried to check in online to avoid the $52 per bag (wtf??!!!) fee. But their shitty website wouldn't let me. When we got to the airport the girl that checked us in was nice enough (I guess) to charge us the online check in price- $42 per bag. Still ridiculous and the weight limit is 40 lbs not 50. She had SOOOO much trouble doing this. She probably asked me 5 times if we (my bf and I) were both checking a bag. I know pot is legal in WA but come on. Finally we get our bags checked and paid for. Already annoyed. We waited forever to board. Probably started boarding 15/20 mins before our flight time. It was the same type of plane that I flew to Seattle in- so uncomfortable. The seats are awful and they don't even recline. The seat "pocket" in front of you is literally bungee cord so you can't put anything in it. And the tray table is TINY. No tv, no music, no blanket or pillow (9:40pm flight you'd think they would know people want to sleep). Just awful all together. So uncomfortable. I received an email from Spirit asking me to fill out a customer service survey- the link didn't work! Big surprise!!! They're probably sick of hearing all the complaints! Never flying with them again."
Pros: "I liked the fact that because of a death in my family and plans having to abruptly change, I was assisted greatly by the Seattle staff."
Cons: "I don't know how you get away with charging what you do for checked luggage, AND THEN for carry on's as well, but you should be ashamed of yourself. TRULY."
Pros: "The price."
Cons: "Because we didn't pay for luggage ahead of time, being charged $52 for a small suitcase was shocking."
Pros: "First your tickets are pricey then the baggage fees are stupid dumb why pay so much i dont understand but this is definitely the first and last time id fly with spirit"
Cons: "First your tickets are pricey then the baggage fees are stupid dumb why pay so much i dont understand but this is definitely the first and last time id fly with spirit"
Cons: "I didn't realize that I have 0 carry-ons and 0 checked bags. Checked bags were slightly less expensive than a carryon so I brought a larger checked bag with me for the smaller price. It's a steep price though! $83 round trip. It would have been nice if Kayak put some kind of tag on flights that don't include carryon/checked bags, or let me choose how many of each I needed and factored those into the flight costs when I do my price search."
Pros: "Quick boarding, on time flights, good communication from captain"
Cons: "Spirit nickel and dimes you for everything!! Also there was an elderly man who could barely walk and no one from spirit or airlines helped him. You charge to have someone check you in?? Horrible!"
Pros: "I did arrive alive"
Cons: "When I arrived they did not even have a gate assigned. Carry on bags cost $55 each way. Water on the flight cost $3. Everything about the plane and airline were cheep but they charged crazy prices for everything. The tickets are cheep but they rob u for everything once you have bought the ticket"
Pros: "Good prices to pay to travel, flight was safe and fast"
Cons: "Hmmm well just that the water and the snacks were chargeable not like other airlines"
Pros: "That it was cheap."
Pros: "There is nothing which I can like about spirit airline"
Cons: "Spirit hidden charges and they will tell you to pay for even small hand bags at double price."
Pros: "Chairs were pretty comfy I guess."
Cons: "Flight delayed 4 times. Buying a regular priced ticket with any other airline would've been cheaper than this airline co. Baggage prices are raised without warning so buy early!!"
Cons: "Had to pay $90 for carry on bag!! So ridiculous. I could see an extra $30 round trip but $90!??!?!! Also you have to oay for everything but if I wanted to pay that much I would jist go to another airline....better service at pretty much every other airline. Even air asia that lost my bag for 4 days was better than this. Never again."
Cons: "There were no updates at all and suddenly the flight was cancelled. They offered no help to us, and they still haven't refunded me. I will NEVER fly with this airline again."
Pros: "They Charge for a Drink of Water"
Cons: "You shouldn't have to pay $3.00 for a drink of water. $60.00 for round trip fee for my roll-aboard that always fits in the overhead seems unreasonable especially since my weight plus the weight of the bag was probably less than the weight of most of the adults on the flight All extra fees should be disclosed before a person clicks to buys a ticket."
