  • Are there non-stop flights to Cape Verde?

You can take non-stop flights to Cape Verde from Gatwick Airport (LGW) in London, with there being direct routes to both Espargos Airport (SID) and Rabil Airport (BVC). You can also fly to San Pedro Airport (VXE) and Praia Nelson Mandela Airport (RAI), but these flights will require a stopover along the way. This transfer is often at Lisbon Airport (LIS).

  • Where can I find the car hire desks at Praia Nelson Mandela Airport?

Pros: "All great!"
Cons: "if my luggage would of arrived with me, Swiss airlines left behind 2 of 4 pieces of luggage in Zurich! I hope I can get them back!"
Cons: "Swiss Air from Athens to Zurich stellar—excellent service, seating, food—but left one hour late due to air traffic. Nearly missed connecting Edelweiss flight—and that flight was just terrible. Passengers behind me constantly kicking, pulling my seat—wouldn’t allow me to put seat in recline position."
Pros: "It was an okay flight. Nothing spectacular!"
Cons: "Shorter lay over Better entertainment choices The inflight charging was a joke, did not work in both sectors ."
Cons: "Flight was delayed an hour so we were rebooked. Spent extra day in Zurich, and missed our hotel reservation in San Francisco. San Francisco was not our final destination. We had to fly for more than 24 hours in one day(time change). We missed part of our family function. It's been an exhausting trip"
Pros: "Very short flight so pretty standard."
Cons: "The flight attendants and employees at the airport seemed completely miserable. I heard flight attendants telling passengers on multiple occasions that because the flight was short they couldn’t help them."
Cons: "I still haven't arrived yet, missed the big flight by two minutes, no help from the crew, had to overnight in Zürich. Trying again today..."
Cons: "To my shock, my boarding pass while scanning to enter the aircraft was rejected with wild flashing red lights saying my trip was cancelled. Someone else was given my emergency row seat, booked and confirmed 24 hours ahead. It was a full flight but I got a middle seat and continued my long journey home from Kenya"
Pros: "The Plane was modern, they had food / drinks for us, and overall the flight experience was excellent."
Cons: "Extremely crowded no place to wait, Split Airport has too many planes coming in/out and not much space for passengers."
Pros: "The airplane was cool and the time for arriving was correct as well as easy to check in. The pilot was good and they told us who won on the World Cup tournament I liked that. There was a younger crew memeber she was reaaally nice."
Cons: "I asked when i got my ticket for a window seat and he said he gave me one but he did not in the two flights I got. I requested the crew for a window seat if possible since I had been feelin nauseated, it did not help that the guy sitting next to me had a really bad breat and smelled bad. They offered me a sit in the middle of the plane, that did not work well because I was feeling sick, being in between a big guy and a bigger lady was not going to help at all. There was an older crew member and she seemed to be kinda discussed with the trash even though she was using gloves. Food was ok but not the best. To top it off I told them that the headphones connection wasn’t working and they only brought me a pair of new headphones. I tried mine and they didn’t worked, so the whole 8 hrs of flight I was watching movies with sound only from on side. They didn’t even bother, I guess cuz I am economy? Not sure I did see some free chairs in the lanes between economy and first class but they didn’t even suggested that so I decided to suck it up and sit on my assigned chair. The bathrooms where dirty and smelled reaaally bad from the beginning that really was disgusting to be honest. I can let go many things but not that. I had to help the passenger sitting next to me cuz he didn’t know how to do anything and didn’t speak English, he was an older man, with signs I was able to show him how an airplane works. I never complain about flights but this one was tooo many little things. Oh and what about an international flight where I have to pay for a second bag! Really? I did it on my way to Europe and I thought I payed both and then I had to do it again. Whatever money I thought I could save was a lie because I ended up paying a lot more adding the bags and additional transportation for home based on the airports. I am not satisfied at all with the flight experience"
Cons: "I paid to upgrade my seats and they were still tiny. I could not straighten my legs. The armrest also doesn’t go up all the way, so couples flying overnight together, beware!"

The flight was delayed over 2 hours, we should off left the plane2 late passengers as it’s not fair on everyone who’s followed the rules.

Dreamliner. Yes great if maintained. I didn't see anyones screen work consistently during either of our flights. Worse was their ability to not only dump you out of premium but separate couples and seat someone's carer at the opposite end of the aircraft. This poor gentleman had no hand so his partner who assists him, being seated at the other end of the aircraft, well that really showed us all what Tui think :( It was fairly dire all in all, they advertise all the perks of the dreamliner only in reality you don't have the features and they change the windows and colours to suit their constant sales pitches. Ironically they were so low on stock for the return flight that all their sales pitches were a waste of time! Their contract only favours them and 'operational changes' well they cover every excuse and Tui use it. Surprisingly we haven't reinstalled the Tui app or booked with them since. It's a shame as I rated them highly during the pandemic.

One flight attendant not wearing a mask over nose, 50% of passengers not either, and no effort to correct. Boarding was very late with no information - lots of standing around waiting.

Cons: "Boarding down the rain and cold morning was not oaky"
Pros: "Flight was on time and well managed. Nicer than Ryanair but limited facilities as this is a charter airline. No video or seat bag nets for example."
Cons: "Limited features on board."
Pros: "Easy check in and great in-flight service. Nice to have a full meal and bar service."
Cons: "Slightly delayed, but nothing much."
Cons: "Still sitting in the San Francisco airport With some luck l will be in Minneapolis by midnight"
Pros: "Easy boarding with no wait time, very straightforward transfers to hotels on arrival with Thomson organised coaches."
Cons: "Very small and confined seats led to an uncomfortable flight. Cabin crew were not attentive."
Pros: "It took me to Zante"
Cons: "We checked in online but still had to wait 45 just to drop our bags. waiting for an hour on the plane before take off. The captain not giving accurate timings. Circling so many times before landing I was nearly sick. And a very hard landing so much so I hit my head on the seat in front of me."
Pros: "1)I like the leg room in economy. 2) the bathrooms allow for a lot of headroom when compared to some airlines. 3)the affordability of the flights when compared to other long haul airlines"
Cons: "1) Boarding was late (seems to be a regular occurrence) and as a result the flight was delayed. 2)They have a habit of over booking seats. 3)There's no onboard wifi. For such a new jet in these modern times, I'd expect that such amenities would be a standard. 4) The online checkin is a bit dodgy; i had to keep refreshing the page- not very comforting. 5) Somehow having a one way ticket back to my HOME country (barbados) was deemed as an anomaly at the checkin desk at Gatwick. Ended up waiting for about 30 minutes at the checkin desk waiting for my boarding pass to be approved- absolute madness"
Pros: "I couldn't take the fly. And no body answer! No by the phone, no body on the airport, no body on Facebook, I can't by the web. I need help and no body answer."
Cons: "Pleace call 666 394 865"
Pros: "Amazing crew"
Cons: "Food was ok. Seat was crowded. Everything else was excellent."
Cons: "flight was delayed by 3 hours; very rude and indifferent ground staff, almost impossible to rebook; no information/help was provided; barely made our next flight"
Pros: "Some on crew lovely. Others terrible, bitter people, not at all suited for customer service."
Cons: "Disgusting food. Price gouging for checked baggage. Surly attitudes."
Cons: "According to Kayak I had one bag for free I had to pay 50 euros"
Cons: "The early morning fight was delayed, and I appreciated that TAP notified me ahead of time. However, TAP did not communicate that despite the 2 hour delay, we were required to be at the airport checkin as if the flight was never delayed - and agent dismissed us as late. Only begging got us on flight."
Cons: "So many delays, no real info provided. When we had to stay overnight they didn’t mention it would take 4 hours to get our bags which actually never came. Airline industry sucks and deltas one of the worst."
Cons: "Dinner (entree, salad, shrimp appetizer, roll, and flan) and breakfast (fruit, croissant, roll, meat, cheese) were delicious -- but left us stuffed.Outstanding service. Milk or creme with coffee would have been nice."
Pros: "I would def use this airline again."
Cons: "The only issue was they’re weren’t any outlets to charge your phone or laptop"
Cons: "I was rerouted to Madrid and did not have the correct timely information to cancel and rebook or to get a credit toward a future flight. There was no clear item on line to be used for my problem."

The plane was new, clean and nice. The crew was very attentive and pleasant. The food wasn’t great, though - even in business class…

Cons: "Restroom is smelly and dirty. Back seat pocket is dirty too."
Pros: "The crew was kind enough and food was decent"
Cons: "The plane itself is very old and dirty. Each seat is fit with an entertainment system with a fairly good selection however on both flights, the entertainment system worked for one hour. Then it stopped. The crew was less than helpful and when they did give it their attention they simply reset the screen which then continued to power cycle for the next 5 hours. On the way home, enough folks complained that the crew reset the entire system and then it worked for the last hour"
Cons: "No one could lean their seats back throughout the entire flight. Also, the food was horrible. NO TASTE. Lastly, there were too many announcements throughout the entire flight making it difficult to rest."
Pros: "They had supplies to deliver a baby onboard"
Cons: "The bathrooms were dirty. Food terrible. Poor service. TVs didn’t work. Confusing checkin counter unhelpful gate staff. Non-existent customer service."
Pros: "Crew was nice . Boarding was relatively easy"
Cons: "WiFi didn’t work, long haul flight with absolutely NO entertainment. Food was below average as was seat comfort"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled and the gate information was never updated to reflect the new time. My luggage was also lost."
Pros: "Seat were comfy"
Cons: "The food could be better. Also, no tampoon/Sanitary towels for emergency menstrual period."
Pros: "The plane was on time, boarding was smooth and the seats were comfortable, again."
Cons: "There was no personal entertainment system. However, they had screens fold down from the sealing and showed some cartoons and very old silent movies."
Pros: "Leg room was good"
Cons: "We were prevented from bringing water on board and then only provided with small glasses three times during the long flight."

Every meal/snack included something with ham/pork - even the cookies had "swine fat" (which we only knew because we thoroughly checked the ingredients). There were no vegetarian options, and we had not been given the option of pre-selecting a meal when purchasing our tickets or checking in. That made for a VERY long flight. We were fortunate that we had brought our own snacks as back-up.

I booked and paid for my original flight with E-Dreams. Also made seat selections. Got an email a few days later saying my return flight had be cancelled?? Called E-Dreams and they said it was the airline that cancelled (Sato)? Told to rebook the return flight myself? Cost was double the original flight and was booking me on the same flight as I originally booked?? Called back, the agent agreed to cancel my flight to the Azores and AGREED to a full REFUND. The agent advised me to re-book the flight on my own. Did so and ended up with the EXACT same flights as originally booked?? Have only received a PARTIAL REFUND. Still out approximately $300 dollars?? Is this a SCAM. How do I get the remaining REFUND?? Regards, Brett Parry

I wasn't able to log into the onboard wifi entertainment, but I fell asleep on the flight anyway.

Cons: "Paid for business and Seats did not recline, not was there any entertainment provided from a flight from Lisbon Portugal to Boston. This was not a business international flight although it was sold and advertised as one. Awful."
Pros: "The crew was running into people with their carts-i saw it 3 times."
Cons: "The food was bad. The area before boarding was small, and once inside, there was no access to food or restroom. We walked far to board. From the"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours and they never updated us while we were waiting or told us why. They changed planes and seat assignments without notice so the seats we selected we disregarded and we were not sitting next to each other. No entertainment and food was worst I’ve had on a plane."
Pros: "Very nice crew. Appreciate the meal and service good flight"
Cons: "Made us ship our carry on bags which we didn’t appreciate ! Even boarding early ! Did not being packed in busses then made to wait both at terminal and plane for long periods !"
Cons: "The crew never announced that the flight was delayed by one hour. Boarding was disorganized even with the plane being half full. The crew is Ok and not taking control of situation."
Pros: "I loved the fact that our meals, drinks and seat allocation was included in the price. The staff at Azores air was excellent. The flight crew was friendly and it was a smooth flight that took off and landed on time."
Cons: "I bought the ticket through lastminute.com everything I had sent to me said I was on a TAP flight. It was a shared flight and I actually had to check in with Azores Air. This caused me a lot of stress as when I called lastminute.com to find out what was going on as TAP didn’t have a flight leaving to my destination it was only after several minutes of conveying there was no Tap flight that the customer service rep said oh you are to check in with Azores Air."
Cons: "They lost our luggages twice (from Boston to Terceira so we didn't have anything for 3 days at Flores, and on the way from Boston to DC they lost again) would you please tell about this crammy job they are doing to President of American Air Line Paulo Menezes. They ruined our vacation, this moment I still didn't get my luggage yet. thanks Masako"
