Top tips for finding a cheap flight out of the United States

  • The country of Belize is divided into six districts with the district of Belize lying on the northeastern coast of the country by the Caribbean Sea. Philip S. W. Goldson Airport (BZE), or Belize City Airport, is the international gateway to the island and the destination for all flights from the US to Belize.
  • There are several small airports located in each of the districts in Belize so getting around by air is very convenient if you so choose. There are two districts north of Belize City: Corozal Airport (CZH) is the airport in Corozal district and Orange Walk Airport (ORZ) covers the region of Orange Walk.
  • Cayo and Stann Creek are the districts in the center of the island. Cayo lies to the west where it shares a boundary with Guatemala. Matthew Spain Airport (SQS) is in San Ignacio town while Stann Creek in the east is served by two airports: Placencia Airport (PLJ) and Silver Creek Airport (SVK).
  • The east coast of Belize has one of the largest barrier reefs in the Americas and is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island. Belize City Airport is centrally positioned along this stretch of coast and is therefore a perfect place to discover the multitude of cays and atolls that lies off the coastal waters.
  • The district of Toledo marks the southern boundary of Belize where it meets the Gulf of Honduras and contains the towns of Barranco and Punta Gorda. After your flight from the US to Belize, you can hop on a local flight from Belize City Airport to Punta Gorda Airport (PND) and discover the beaches of Amatique Bay.
  • Suppose you are planning to visit multiple municipalities in Belize, consider flying to Ladyville, which hosts the country’s only international airport, Phillip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE). You can then use this as a base to connect to other destinations of your choice.
  • Those transiting to the western region of Belize, such as Cayo District, should consider booking flights that land at the neighboring airports in Belmopan. This option provides easier access to Cayo than Corozal Town. The flight frequency is higher, and you are thus in a better position to get your flight back easily.
  • December to April are the peak tourist months in Belize. This is the duration when the country witnesses a dry spell, hence the ideal time for amazing weather. Therefore, remember that fares are likely to rise dramatically during this period.
  • Several flights to Belize from the U.S. require a layover in Britain. Due to its colonial past, most of the cheapest flights are via England. As such, you should consider this option in case you are traveling on a budget and want to save money.
  • Belize features several municipalities, and you’ll generally require more connections to visit more than one. As such, consider flying to hubs that guarantee good links to your preferred itinerary towns. Remember that Tropic Air runs a hub at both Philip Goldson International Airport, and Belize City Municipal Airport (TZA).

It was one of my worst flight ever. First they were changing the gate for at least 4 times, changing from gate D7 to D12 to D44. Considering the size of the Miami Airport, we are talking about long distance and the train at the airport was not working. Then the flight was delayed around one hour. Then finally we boarded into the plane and when everybody was seated, there was an announcement that there is an issue with one of the tire of the plane, so we all had to get out of the plane with our belongings, to replace the tire. So we had around 2.5-hour delay

Most miserable flight ever. We waited almost 2 hours on the runway because the flight was oversold. American offered $1200 credit. Then there was some nonsense about weight distribution. Ridiculous. No food for 8 plus hours on the flight. I will be writing a letter.

Honestly, I haven’t flown American in years, probably due to the pandemic and my being unable to travel for certain periods in the last two years, but it was a good experience to dig out or obtain a new American Airlines account after many years of traveling for business with American in the past.

The plane was probably full boarding was easy. We were able to check our carry-on luggage for free. It was a return flight through Philly to LA. Never saw a stewardess do a demonstration of emergency Procedures. I think my flight was pretty full

Plane, flight, crew, captain were all great. The first flight had a Chipotle box lunch...delicious.

Plane, flight, crew, captain were all great. The first flight had a Chipotle box lunch...delicious. this return flight not as tasty, but filling.

The flight was 2 hour delayed, otherwise everything was excellent. The delay was due to the hourly limit requirement so given that as a reason, I'm happy with the flight!

Weather delay for 2.5 hours followed by half hour crew delay, did not have ginger ale, uncomfortable seats

Flight was full, and would have preferred an aisle seat, but due to getting a late ticket ,the seat I had was adequate. The flight crew were very help full and hard working. Food and drink were excellent for the 11hr flight. Overall I was pleased with flight, and would recommend British Airways again.

So awful Unreliable Unfriendly Bad Mad Mean Smelly Hot Late Overbooked Understaffed Expensive Cramped Narcs If they were a fruit they’d be rotten durian
