Pros: staff was good, the place was clean, adequate free parking. Rooms were quiet despite being 1/4 mile from the busiest freeway in the world.

Cons: Pay for parking my car
Pros: Nice decor and great location
Cons: Charge for parking which is ridiculous. Girl who checked me in was a bit rude

Cons: A bit too far from any touristy attractions. Not a walking hotel b
Cons: Parking charge.
Pros: Location and good price
Cons: Front desk staff / accounting staff are incompetent
They double charged for the room and then didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I'm sure it will get refunded sooner or later but just a hassle. First and last Ayres hotel stay

Each guest will enjoy pristine accommodations as well as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. A daily full breakfast is at a surcharge. Self-parking is available at $10 per night.

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach is a boutique hotel combining understated elegance with the enthusiasm of locally inspired designs. Ideally located in the heart of downtown Long Beach, Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach is steps away from 100+ restaurants, activities and shops, including the Pike Outlets.
Pros: My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel.
Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Pros: Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina.
Cons: $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
Pros: Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach.
Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits.
Beds were super comfortable.
Cons: $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Pros: The remodel is first class.
Cons: The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Pros: We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel.
Cons: No complaints.
5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, this hotel is 4 blocks from the shops and restaurants of Fisherman's Village and a mile from a public beach.
Pros: I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending.
Cons: I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Pros: Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Cons: Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Pros: Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel.
Cons: Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Pros: I like the avalibiliy of the staff
Cons: For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
Pros: the location
Cons: room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room.
time it took to get the food
valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Pros: I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Pros: one of the most amazing experience to stay at the host hotel for the long beach marathon. the hotel made sure that the guests who stayed at the hotel who participated in the events will receive a mini brown bag w/ goodies for the race.
Cons: room did not come w/ a mini refrig nor any mini bar
Cons: $26 parking for hotel guests. Receptionist just said "yeah, this is Long Beach"
Pros: Everything was nice, nice staff and very convenient to everything.
Cons: The bathrooms were dirty and the shower absolutely was the worst one I've ever encountered.
Pros: The view from the room was great & staff was great!
Pros: The "Check In" staff was wonderful, helpful, and made me feel welcome. The rooms were comfortable and I will mostly likely stay here again when I visit Long Beach, CA. The hotel is in a great location prior to cruising and/or enjoying the beach.
Cons: Even though my parking fee was waived, I hope free parking becomes a standard practice.
Pros: Very convenient stay while attending the ISSE at the convention center.
Cons: Very professional & attentive staff throughout my stay.
No doubt under great management!
Pros: Got a great last minute deal on this hotel, worked out great. Perfect location near restaurants and shopping on the shore.
Pros: The view
Cons: Rooms were to small
Pros: Location was perfect. Room was nice.
Cons: Room i was confir.ed with kayak was not available. Required a double and she kept insisting i take a king. Showed her my email.. the she found a room on the underground floor.. that had double veds.. after much hassle. Then after we checked out.. we went bac 2 hrs later to retreive a forgotton jacket and it was missing. Cleaning staff didnt find it.. it was specifically lEft in the clost. Only way it could have dissappeares was if someone took it .
Pros: The staff was fantastic and the room was very clean
Cons: Our only complaint was the poor quality mattress and the thin walls.
Pros: Being local to the beach and many restraraunts.
Cons: The room smelled horrible and the view I paid for was blocked by a tree.

Pros: Easy walking to Seal Beach. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I will be going back.
Pros: It's exactly what I paid for! Affordable, clean and good breakfast in the morning
Pros: We were so happy to discover this gem of a hotel after a last minute change of travel plans on our recent trip to Southern California. Everything about our stay was excellent, especially the delightful staff at the front desk. Our room was very comfortable, and the breakfast, superior. We would not hesitate to return - or to recommend it to others.
Pros: The Pacific Inn is a gem along the PCH and a great value for a hotel near the ocean. Seal Beach is a great little walkable town, and you're only minutes from other beach cities. The open air courtyard with pool and hot tub are nice amenities. Rooms are spacious and the staff is super friendly.
Pros: Location is great; short walk to beautiful Seal Beach and short drive to plenty of shopping and eateries. The bed was super comfortable! Staff was friendly and helpful, and great at keeping everything clean. The pool and hot tubs were well kept. Breakfast was decent and I appreciated the assortment. The wifi was fast and reliable!
Pros: Room was new, breakfast options were excellent, close to the beach, pool is nice
Cons: Hiccup at check-in. Booked through Kayak - sent an email 24 hours before to confirm room, which I did. Got an email around 1pm that the room would be all ready by 3pm. Arrive at 3:10pm, desk attendant spent 10 minutes looking over a list trying to find an available room. No room available - showed them the email and was told, "that is the internet service you booked with. We have nothing to do with that email" - what??? Upgraded me to a King "executive" - not sure what was different other than it was on the backside of the hotel facing a park rather than the street, Room looked 'new'.
The Pacific Inn is located in the quaint European style village of Seal Beach. We boasts 71 beautifully appointed non-smoking guest rooms with marble entries & bathrooms, and private balconies. We offer complimentary hot breakfast. Shuttle service within a 5 mile radius, and complimentary wireless internet access through the property. The Hotel is just minutes away from the business centers of Long Beach and Orange County, major airports and a variety of premier attractions. Pros: I loved when I walked in the environment felt like I was in an expensive hotel. When we reached the room that's when everything surprised me. From when I unlocked the door. I loved the room set up. The couch with the chase attached. I fell in love with the beds it really made me feel like I spend so much on my room. I love the bathroom and kitchen area. Breakfast was great and the staff was eager to help. I will definetly come back over and over.
Cons: Their was only one thing I did not like that when I was about to shower it had hair on the walls and on the floor.
Pros: I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANY TRAVELER LOOKING FOR A GREAT HOTEL TO STAY AT A DECENT PRICE.
Pros: I loved the living room area with a bar, microwave, and refrigerator. The beds were excellent and comfortable - loved the bed spread.
Cons: I didn't really like the shower it was hard to keep the curtain inside so a lot of water escaped outside toward the toilet. Maybe have a slightly higher shower rim instead of a low one or even a tub/shower combo?

Pros: The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice.
Cons: Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.

Pros: Room was crisp and clean. Property and view was pretty.
Cons: Special event affected the noise during our stay. Circular courtyard provided lots of noise from other guests.
Pros: We (either spouse and/or kid) have stayed here at least once a year and have watched it undergo many improvements, it is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be close to the Queen Mary but would like to avoid the noise or prefer a larger room and a pool. Since it is set up like a motel, you have to walk over between buildings and to the pool. The Sunday brunch is fantastic, there is a cute sand area for the kids, decor is cute and the facility always appears clean. I have not used any of the service options (in room or pool side) due to some really bad experiences prior to the change of ownership.
Cons: During the last stay there was a music festival at the Queen Mary which is to say that it was difficult to get to the hotel and once there, parking was difficult and people were pre-partying around the hotel. We had dinner reservations on the QM and the woman at the front desk offered a golf cart shuttle to the ship. On our way to the room we watched concert goers jockey for a space on the golf cart and then proceed to sit on one another's lap to fit. When we later approached the golf cart pick up area we were relieved to find it empty. A person identifying himself as a manager informed me "this cart isn't working, the battery is out" and then he clarified that it was the only one they had. Lame. In the end we were able to get to dinner in 10 minutes via sturdy Louboutins and the walk path but I would have liked a more professional handling of the situation.
Pros: The atmosphere, view and vibe was relaxing and incredible !! the guy at the front desk was really respectfull and helpfull and even gave us free fresh baked choclate cookies at check in and compt our parking for our visit , think his name was Noor ... Highly recomend and will definitley be coming back soon ! Thumbs upppp
Pros: The staff was very courteous from the moment we arrived and very helpful the entire time. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Long Beach area in the future.
Pros: Easy access to bus line ( bus line is Clean an convenient) takes you to downtown long beach.
Free shuttle to cruise ship terminal.
Great pool and pool bar staff.
Cool/funky mayan theme throughout.
Pros: Nice waterfront location
Cons: Hard to fine by drivers
Pros: We especially liked the location and the service by the front desk. Fuego is a great place to dine.
Cons: Unfortunately, we were placed next to a family that were loud and disrespectful until late night. The hotel staff tried to quiet them; however, it took many attempts. It was not the real fault of the hotel; but it did make our stay unpleasant.
Pros: I would recommend a water view. It was a great!
Pros: The views, particularly at night.
Cons: It was undergoing renovation of one of the towers. Some noise etc. associated with that although it stopped by 5 pm.
The staff at the restaurant was really terrible when I had a late lunch. I have stayed there before and enjoyed good service, but it was quite bad on this trip.
I waited for at least ten minutes while waiters walked by me and waited on tables seated after I was. There were only 6 or so tables total as it was late afternoon. At one point my waiter talked to the table next to me about personal matters for about ten minutes and then walked off without coming by my table or refilling my water.
My experience with all other staff was excellent. The restaurant staff is entirely responsible for the Okay rating.
Pros: Beautiful view and location, and very nice room. The staff was very nice to deal with.
Cons: The price was a little high, and the rug in the room should be replaced.

Cons: Construction ongoing, room smelled like cigarettes, the layout of the room was bad.. there was a sliding door with a couch in front of it
Pros: They have a great buffet breakfast and good location
Cons: Small bathroom, had construction going
Pros: Breakfast, main guest house
Cons: Older than photos show, Room furniture is old and worn, AC didn't work in the first room we were put in, it sounded like the persons above us were going to fall thru the roof because of a weak floor
Good clean facility.
Pros: Good breakfast! Quiet location.
Cons: Laundry not available. The clubhouse was being remodeled. Should be done mid-February.
Pros: We have stayed there many times before.
Cons: It was being totally being rentravated. Noise all the time. Not at all like ad presented it.
Cons: They bought an old garden apt complex and opened it as Marriott too soon. This is not yet Marriot. Not even close.
Overall good experience.
Pros: The room was new and up to date.
Cons: There was one trash can in the room and it took me a while to find it. Their were no cups in the bathroom.
Even though there was construction going on and there were temporary buildings including the registration office there wasn't any excessive noise or inconvenience at all.
Pros: Best staff. Very courteous, accommodating and attentive.
Cons: Did not get housekeeping everyday but that seems to be the new norm with hotels.
Pros: Residence Inn is really good place for family, especiall with children. Well equipped kitchen and large size Refridge, microwave will be very helpful to cook for your family.
Cons: Currently hotel is renovating. So fitness center, place for breakfast is very small, and guest laundry can't be offered. Also, parking lot was not enough because of construction.
Pros: Breakfast and quick service on requests (ie: extra towels, crib, etc)
Cons: Tiny bathroom Not a private bedroom area from loving room even though pictures illustrated a door separating the bed from living room
Excellent location close to shopping and food. Very comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet.
Pros: Roomy, shower had great water pressure, love the kitchenette.
Cons: The WIFI was pretty poor in the room. Since I typically work while I travel, that's a pretty big drawback for me

Cons: Nothing I didn't like
Pros: The hotel is clean and the rooms look modern and up to date. The location in downtown Long Beach is pretty central if you want to be in Long Beach.
Cons: Two double beds instead of two queens, lots of sound traveling between rooms, not a very good shower, room was on the smaller side, check-in issues were an annoyance and were due to staff's actions. Price quite high for what we got.
Pros: Staff friendly

Cons: the pool looked deceptivly large on the website. It was basically a giant hot tub. The staff was not accommodating. I wanted an earlier check in @ 2:15, I had three small children and apparently no rooms were clean. The breakfast was shady at best and not much room. I had to take the food into my room. This is the last Best Weatern I stay in.
Pros: Great Location for the Convention Center, lots of restaurant's in the area, and the comp. breakfast was good
Cons: The comp. breakfast should be extended to 10:30AM , Refrigerator in rooms would be good improvement. The coffee pot and ice bucket should not be kept in the bathroom, its unsanitary

Pros: The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again
Cons: The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Pros: We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
Pros: We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite!
Cons: The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
Pros: the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
Cons: The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.
A mere 200 ft to the sand and surf, Hotel Erwin is like Venice Beachs underground album thats been discovered to critical acclaim. In its fun and festive splendor overlooking the famous boardwalk, Hotel Erwin offers the ultimate Venice Beach experience where guests can eat, drink, swim, shop, gallery-hop and relax. The hotels modern interior reflects the vibe of the city, and strongly displays an eclectic energy. Barlo Kitchen + Cocktails, Hotel Erwins ground floor restaurant and outdoor patio, celebrates Venice Beachs adventurous nature by providing guests with first-rate food and unique dishes. Additionally, the hotels rooftop hangout, High Lounge, is the premier Venice Beach open-air lounge, where cocktails and the nightly sunset are the main event.
Cons: The room furnishings were fine but could use an update
Pros: Bathroom clean
Cons: AC/Heat very loud
Pros: Room was nice and beds were super comfy
Cons: Had a room cleaned and the cleaners dumped out multiple ash trays or dirty water in out bathroom sinkand left it like that, not such a clean place to brush your teeth after that.
Pros: I like to cleanliness and comfort level of the bed. I also used the gym and it was relatively clean in there as well and that's about where it ends.
Cons: The first thing when we walked in the room you could tell it hadn't been vacuumed entirely and there was a white towel slightly stuck to the floor in the corner next to the couch. Next was the tiny pool in the middle of the entire hotel. It only received sun light for a few hours in the day so it was chilly to get in even on a warm 80+ summer day.
Then the elevator went out for some reason. I guess it was just unfortunate for my family and I that we had a room right next to the elevator and the stairs were about 100+yrds from our room.
Then the sink water stank like rotten eggs/sulfur and when I brought it too the front desk receptionist's attention she just said, "I will make a note for the plumber to check it out after you leave."
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Tv was not high def...bad picture
Pros: The staff was courteous.
The bedroom was clean.
Cons: There was work being done on another room and when walking the hall it smelled weird.

Pros: Location was interesting; good restaurants nearby; kinda edgy.
Weirdly, my hair loved whatever shampoo & conditioner they used (could also be the quality of the water itself?). I never had such silky smooth hair!
Cons: The facilities reminded me of a motel in the 70's. They tried to be trendy and hip, but it just didn't cut it. The room didn't feel private. The balcony overlooked the courtyard one floor below and there was a really bright light at night, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains to let any light in. The bathtub had a no-slip matt inside, so it felt like a retirement home. Although relatively clean, the smell of the cleaning products was really old-school. Only thing missing was the coin-operated vibrating bed. No restaurant or room service, and breakfast in the morning was very basic.
My daughter and l had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
Our room was very clean and beds where comfortable.
The location is a short walk to the beach.
The staff was friendly, professional and attentive!
We were so happy with our accommodations that we extended our stay by two days.
Highly recommend !
Pros: Good location, near beach, many good eateries etc.
Excellent helpful staff, particularly Emad, who could not have been more helpful and deserves high praise.
The rooms have been done up but essentially it's a renovated old building.
Good parking underneath but $14/day.
All round ok but not cheap.
Cons: Being on a busy street there was considerable traffic noise.
The serve yourself breakfast was frugal and nothing to write home to Mum about.
Pros: I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay.
However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable.
Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though.
Would definetly stay again.
This European-style inn is inspired by the culture and history of nearby Venice Beach, and is located less than two blocks from the Boardwalk. Marina Del Rey is four blocks away.
Pros: One of the employees with the kitchen was seriously the greatest human being on the planet. She made our trip, her enthusiasm and excitement was amazing!
Cons: Refrigerator didn't work bu the next day they fixed it. Food was always cold.

Pros: The maintenance guy, when we were finally able to get the front desk to have him check out our room, was a fast worker and great to talk to. The bathroom was really nice, aside from the faucet not being screwed on (maintenance guy fixed it), shower gel container they provided was broken, and toilet looked about 20 years old. They gave us a bottle of wine since we were there for our honeymoon.
Cons: It's really a motel, not a hotel. Room was not artsy, eclectic, or colorful like they advertise- it was brown, beige, and black with only 2 splashes of color in the whole room. Housekeeping sucked- didn't vacuum when there were obvious areas of food crumbs, left the garbage can on the toilet, didn't replace ice bag, didn't notify maintenance of problems with room (he specifically said they're supposed to do that). Internet was practically nonexistent and we were only allowed two devices. No HDMI hookups on the tvs. Front desk wasn't very helpful and didn't notify maintenance the first time we came to them with problems. Curtain was ripped so 6 inches of light poured in the room. People smoked outside our room so the smoke smell got in our room die to the 1 inch gaps around the door. They overpriced every service ($2 to wash laundry, $1.75 to dry laundry, $3 minimum to use their computer and $0.50 for each additional minute, $1-1.50 to print per page, etc.). No hot tub, just the pool, though the pool was nice.
Pros: The hotel was nice, clean and the location was close to downtown long beach, staff was really friendly and helpful. Our stay was great, beds were really comfortable and our room came with a fridge and microwave. Would comeback to stay for next years Long Beach marathon.
Cons: Only thing wrong was the walls are a bit thin you could hear door close from other rooms down the building. But other than that's no other problems.
Pros: The rooms were very big. Bathroom was great.
Pros: It was value for money and the staff were great!
Cons: There were not enough facilities in the room
Pros: Good money value - better than expected
Cleanliness and nice furniture
Lots of lighting in the room
Cons: Breakfast only starts at 6:30AM
Difficulties to excess wifi through multiple devices
Situated near the airport, this hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Long Beach Playhouse and California State University Long Beach. Recreation Park Golf Course and Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: I liked the whole part of the checkin taking 30 minutes at 2 am because kayak messed it up.
Cons: I didn't like pretty much the whole thing. The checkin took literally forever. Never again
Pros: The convince and distance to the public transportation makes it easy to go to different places. Other businesses close to the hotel is a plus
Cons: Overall I liked everything for the one night I stayed
Pros: It was very clean and comfortable, very nice rooms,I was pleasantly surprised by the full size refrigerator and the stove top, good to know for a longer stay
Pros: Very nice and clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: The only thing I did not like it the parking situation and entry to hotel is weird.
Pros: Airport shuttle, breakfast, comfy beds, and clean/large rooms!
Cons: The TV in the room didn't work. I informed the front desk and was told maintenance would come look at it. Waited 2 hours and no one came so I canceled the maintenance call.
Pros: Shuttle service to and from the airport is very easy and efficient. Size of room is above average.
Cons: Neighborhood. Showerhead was old and clogged.
Pros: This place is really a great value, the building is safe and well maintained. Having a gated parking garage is great for peace of mind. The rooms are very nice for what you pay and overall stay was very comfortable. I've been there twice already and plan on staying again because the experience was so great. Highly recommended!
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff. Clean rooms with large frig and full-size microwave. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. Secure parking. Nice pool area. Minutes from LAX.
Cons: Some of the breakfast selections weren't appealing. TV was too small for the size of the room (hard to see from across the room while sitting on bed).
Cons: Not too great an area for walking to restaurants, etc
Pros: Room was clean and spacious.
Cons: Hotel located in somewhat seedy area. Didn't feel safe to walk anywhere.
Pros: We needed a place to stay near LAX that didn't cost an arm and a leg. This Comfort Inn was just the ticket. Plus secure off-street parking and a full, hot breakfast.
Pros: Ample room soace (double queen). Convenient location, close to LAX, near shopping malls and fast foods, at reasonable distance from Hollywood - one hour drive. Breakfast OK. Parking OK. Near Metro station even though I did not use it. Amenities ok: microwave, refrigerator. Good value for the cost.
Cons: Bumpy elevator.

Pros: The staff was the best, the beds were excellent, the candy at the front counter........will be my choice always in LA......very close convenient to airport.
Pros: Clean, good size room that looked somewhat modern.
Cons: Elevator was really slow but I can wait a bit
Pros: Service, room size, and breakfast.
Cons: Not enough soap for us to shower
Pros: location is a little bit far from down town but it's not big deal to you.
and the price is very reasonable.
I went to there with one girl and two guys.
The hotel was very comfortable and even staff is very helpful and kindness.
so if i have a chance go to the LA, i would book there again.
