I have to rate British Airways as a 10 out of 10 in almost all categories...comfort of the plane, food and service, boarding, notifications, crew, etc. In particular, the long haul flight from London to Seattle everything was truly top notch!

Their baggage handlers damaged several parts on my checked-in luggage...three zipper pulls and one clasp. What are they doing with the bags? How can they damage so many things in one fell swoop? This is a good quality Atlantic suitcase. Also, on the short flights, in this case Madrid to London, they are now charging for EVERYTHING...even water and coffee. They said it was a new policy as of 1/1/2018.

A Steward helped me down the steps of the plane in MANCHESTER by carrying my 'carry-on', as I am 76 I was really appreciative of him doing that! I couldn't have managed it WITHOUT his help!

There are three flights of steps at Manchester airport going up and up when you arrive! I was mortified but a passenger stepped in and carried my 'carry on' all the way to the top. I didn't ask, he just knew to do it. Coming back today doing the journey in reverse I had another male who came to my rescue after banging my case down the first flight and carried it all the way to the plane as well as carrying his own.

Some airlines make me wish I had taken a bus instead. The people who work for flybe have restored my faith in domestic flying in the UK; and if the same attitude prevails for international routes then I shall gladly choose flybe where possible.

the flight was cancelled at the last minute as one of the pilots became ill and no replacement could be found.Instead we were flown to Dublin where a coach was arranged for Cork.However what the company failed to realise was that many passengers had onward connections from cork.Had i taken their bus by the time it arrived in Cork i would have been stranded there.Instead i had to arrange a flight from Dublin to Kerry..my final destination myself.It cost 91 euro!! My real complaint is that no one from the company bothered to ask about the effects of the cancellation.

The crew and the plan and the service were all top notch. However, their new policy as of 1/1/2018 in which they even charge for coffee and water seems very misplaced and excessive.

I had window seat.

I wasn't able to carry my small carry-on down the steps on leaving the flight and the female flight attendant did carry it down the steps, but said "You should 'think' before bringing so much". I had stayed up North for a week visiting my sister in a Care Home. I had taken the absolute minimum in the smallest size case. She seemed to be sorry she had said that and added 'take care'!

Being pregnant and nauseated all the time the few food vouchers barely covered my needs and the stress, waiting around, and staying even longer in Europe exacerbated my condition from discomfort to illness that required hospitalization on return to the US.

Flight departed on time and landed early. Plane was parked close to the gate so we could walk on—no bus needed. Flight crew very cheerful and helpful.

Ground crew tried to force us to check our carry ons even though they were in compliance size wise. They explained that the flight was full so they were instructed to check roller bags. One crew member even followed us to the security line to try to get us to check. Although they offered checking for free, we pack light so as to not check. We told the crew member we would take our chances and take our bags on board. As it turned out there was plenty of room on board for carry ons.

The plane wasn't refueled and so was not ready for take off once the passengers were loaded. The plane had a technical problem when it tried the first take off and so it had to be abandoned. This was alarming..
