Make sure the hotel you’re staying at has a shuttle to pick you up from airport. Also be prepared for changes in boarding times. It could mess with your plans. Phu Quoc is beautiful, go visit
Verified travelerFlew with Vietravel Airlines-May 2025
Get to the airport at least two hours before boarding, the line through immigration moves at a snail’s pace.
Verified travelerFlew with VietJet Air-Jun 2024
Remember to put your middle name on visas/boarding passes, because details between those and passports have to match exactly.
AndyFlew with Cebu Pacific-Jul 2024
It’s a night flight, if you do want food buy it before also arrives 2am I stayed in the airport until about 6am no point paying and booking a room at that time as you have to go through immigration etc
WilliamFlew with Cambodia Angkor Air-Apr 2024
Leaving Vietnam through customs was longer than we thought based on how short the line was, so give yourself plenty of time. Once on the ground in Cambodia, use the Grab app to book a ride from the airport to Siem Reap. A tuk tuk is cheaper but after more than an hour on that hard seat you’ll wish you’d splurged.

Easy boarding and friendly crew. There is no food offered as it is a short flight and no entertainment either…but a good experience overall.

A very nice flight. It arrived on time, and the plane was very clean and the staff was very professional.

Overall, very pleased with this flight. Boarding could be better because boarding was announced without a microphone so people didn’t know to line up until we heard the staff walking around to announce it. Also, had to stand in line for 10’ before we started moving. My husband who is impatient and cannot stand for too long did not like this. The rest of the flight- crew, food, and entertainment were very good.

Really good 👍 This was our first time flying with Vietnam Airlines. It was a short domestic flight, so no meal service, but boarding was organized and the flight departed and arrived on schedule. The flight attendants were professional and neatly presented. All in all, a very good first experience. We would recommend Vietnam Airlines.

This is a very short commuter flight, so there is no food or flight entertainment. Hence, I marked it in the neutral flight left on time. The plane was full pretty much and it was a pretty easy flight overall very good.

Very good flight and very kind crew Only thing is I wish there would be a vegetarian option for the meals

Lovely staff, comfortable seats. Transit time was short but they had great processes in place to get us on the plane.

Poor. Flight was delay without prior notice. Poor boarding. Poor meal service. Plane was dirty and smelly. Does not worth the money.

when we arrived at Taipei no one help us to get boarding pass. we saw a few people there asked them for help but they just ignored us. There was a guy told us to call Starlux number to get help but we don’t know how to dial the number until there was a lady working there helped us to call Starlux customer then someone came down took us to another counter for boarding pass. Very confused and inconvenient. We might not choose Starlux again in the future.

They didn't have a vegetarian food in spite of the ore order

Flight was good but they cancelled return direct flight so they provide us connecting flight through hanoi

Inflight entertainment is limited. Boarding process is delayed and interrupted.

Crew, friendly On board services: terrible: no movies, no screen, no entertainment over wifi, no free water. Totsl Entrapment

Boarding was not as per sequence Light snacks were not available Window had hair oil stains and water condensation

Apart from the staff at the airport who were amazing the rest of the experience with scoot was disgusting a very basic flight packed and uncomfortable no consideration to a disabled traveller. And even worse from Singapore to Vienna. All about the money. Not even a complementary coffee or juice. From the airline. The staff at the airport didn't look at me as been disabled and no help not even a wheelchair was offered. The food on the plane was cheap and tasteless and expensive no entertainment on plane and WiFi which had to be paid for was intermittent at best.

Uncoordinated boarding, seat comfort is terrible, even toilet is so small that overweight people wouldn't fit in. Baggage scam with additional fees. Stay away from this airline.

Scoot is a no frills budget airline. Do not expect a legacy airline experience.

The cosmetic condition was pretty run down. The carpets were badly worn out. Even the paint on the wings was chipped and peeled! Looks like they are running these 787s to the ground..

Boarding was not accordingly after front seat, bmf then back seat. This delayed for at least 40mins or more. The staff at Jakarta can do better. Is chaos at the entry to board the plane. This tarnished Scoot reputation when everyone was talking about it.

We flew on the 787 Dreamliner direct to main gate at KLIA2, quick entry via eGate and on the train 41mins after touchdown. Go well SCOOT

Not clear why boarding passes could only be issued at the counter and not through the kiosk. I had already check-in on the web, so waiting to obtain a boarding pass 1.5 hours before the actual flight defeats the purpose of early web check-in.

I paid an additional fee for specific seats because I was flying with my two children. I even checked in online and confirmed my seats, so at the airport did not think to double check my seats. The lady at the check in desk gave me different seats that were not together, nor did she say anything, even though she could see I was flying with children. Got to the plane and only realized what had happened then. Scoot refused to refund me that extra fee or take responsibility for what had happened.

Every thing was good except for the airlines kept changing my boarding times but the staff is nice and everything was good.

The price of the ticket was good. No online check-in available. At check-in the staff wanted to see proof of an ongoing flight from Thailand, which I refused to give. (None of their business, IMO. I had to sign a responsibility waiver form.) The luggage was late loading, which meant the departure was late, as was the arrival. The flight was without incident, although the landing was very rough. Luggage delivery to the belt at BKK was very slow. The result of both delays was that the taxi I'd booked was no longer waiting for me. I know they're a new airline, but not a very good experience, in all honesty.

When booking through Kayak, we were redirected to a third party booking site called Kiwi. Apparently we paid the full amount to Kiwi, but they did not pay the airline. When we arrived at the airport, we had to buy tickets again because they said the tickets we booked through Kiwi were cancelled due to non-payment. Beware of Kiwi! We are trying to get them to reimburse the other set of tickets we bought now.

New aircraft, no crying babies :D, on-time departure, professional and good looking air crew :D. Overall I had good experience and great first impression with Vietravel Airlines

All good and friendly However the blasting of music at take of and landing is so annoying and can’t hear anyone speaking .

Waited for 1 hour on tarmac because they couldn’t locate a tow truck. Flight was fine once we eventually took off.

Cheap flight but more expensive when the airlines demands you pay over 30$ for 1 kilogram overweight ( it is 8,2kg I have for carry on baggage) The flights announcement 2PM, and it departed 4 PM, no announcement for delaying, People says Vietjet is delayJet airlines in their blood.

Vietjet tried to steal extra money from passengers by forcing them to change the name on the ticket that was correctly filled in on an English form online when ticket bought online. I bought the ticket via a foreign website where the language is English, At filling in the passenger's name, it says middle name first, then first name, and last name, That the ticket done and printed. when my wife checked in the staff at the check in counter said that her name was written wrong, she must fill the name in Vietnamese style, writing the Last name first, then middle name, first name comes last, even though her name was not misspelled. At the aiport I asked the Vietjet customer service, if it is written in Vietnamese way, it will be wrong when she travel abroad ? The custom service could not answer. It took over an hour where my wife was thrown like a ball between the check-in counter, to the Vietjet customer service , then to passport control. The cost is 110,000 vnd for change place in vietnamese way, I thought if there are millions of passengers who have done the same mistake, how much money Vietjet raked in every year On the flight, it is not allowed to sit in the empty seats in front or next to me, I sat in the middle in a row where two big men were sitting, I really need to change seats but the crew asked to pay extra to buy the empty seats. It is petty and cruel of Vietjet. There is no other choice than the state-owned airline, then you have no choice but to swallow the bite

I have few bad reviews about VietJet, but my experience was really good and it worth every penny..

Very bad experience and will never try their service again. Not even water serve for 8hr flight. Will have to wait for every prepurched to cimplete before can buy water.

The plane stayed hot the entire time, no leg room, no entertainment. Definitely a budget airline experience.

Trip was only 40 minutes in duration....no food and no entertainment. Otherwise it was excellent!

Good value airline for a LCC - food selection and drinks looked well priced. Flight was delayed and no rush to make up time

Maybe there was something wrong with pressure sensor or something. my ear was very uncomfortable and many babies were crying like hell. It happened during landing.
