Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "2 hour delay"
Pros: "Boarding was efficient as was disembarking, crew were good"
Pros: "The overall price"
Cons: "Waiting in line for boarding to find out the passengers in the plane that had arrived had not disembarked. Passengers (and not just priority) brought more than one bag onto the plane. The overhead stowage was bulging. As a passenger with a foot cast the disembarkation was not the best"
Pros: "Very helpful as I required assistance"
Pros: "Crew were good. Boarding seemed to be good. When we eventually got going the flight was good and very quick (35mins)"
Cons: "We sat on the plane for 1 hour without moving anywhere as there was a discrepancy with the numbers they thought they had and the list (or something). When we were cleared for take off we then had to get in a massive queue before we could leave."
Pros: "Quick flight. However as is usual with Ryanair cabin crew their diction on the intercom giving instructions are appalling. This is a feature of Ryanair. Ask for diction or speech lessons and at least passengers will understand. My kids thought the crew were speaking Polish"
Cons: "Very cramped Carry bag allowance too small"
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Being a bit late. Unusual for Ryanair"
Pros: "Fast. That's about it really."
Cons: "More leg room and more comfortable seats also would be nice if the food wasn't extortionate"
Pros: "On time flight"
Cons: "More leg room"
Pros: "As good as it can be with Ryanair"
Pros: "Flight left on time. Reasonable price. Friendly staff."
Cons: "Priority boarding didn't really work."
Pros: "The flight was quick, customer service was good on the plane"
Cons: "Checking in online was a nightmare as the site kept freezing, there was a mix up with my priority and cabin baggage, I was told by the webchat team that this had gone through but not on my boarding pass, when I got the the airport the Ryanair staff were extremely rude to us, they sent us to the back of the queue I front of everyone and then told us we would have to pay to take our bags with us, they then had to be out on the hold. When we got back to Birmingham we then had to sit on the plane for around 15 minutes as there was not a slot for us. I spent hours of my 2 day break trying to sort check ins etc, I would never fly with Ryanair again."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "It was far too hot making some of us feel dizzy & sick"
Cons: "The problem with random seat allocation is if you pay to sit somewhere then that should be fine, no. Today I was constantly asked if I wouldn’t mind swapping seats so the passenger could be closer to their partner which is always going to be an inferior seat or worse sat in the middle seat. Their random seat allocation therefore can inconvenience seat paying passengers not a quality experience."
Pros: "Cheerful staff."
Cons: "Being allocated when we booked seats apart to make us pay £11 to sit together. All we can take from this is that it was another money grabbing exercise by Ryanair as there were plenty of empty seats available when we boarded!"
Cons: "The flight attendant was actually reading from the shopping catalogue.. it was actually annoying and I couldn’t relax during the flight."
Pros: "Flight on time, luggage handling ok"
Cons: "The long walk to and from the plane. The stupid trail down the steps into the cold and rain, across the tarmac then back up the steps into the plane. At Birmingham airport. Fine at Malaga no problem."
Pros: "The "sales" gets a little old. Duty free, lotto tickets, food, drink...…."
Pros: "Boarding was straight forward and fast."
Cons: "Very basic comfort. Less leg room."
Pros: "The only thing good with this flight was the time keeping."
Cons: "The first time travelled with Ryanair and the last.Seating uncomfortable, back rest to upright.Difficulty understanding the crews public announcing over tannoy system.Allocation of seats diabolical. Not a lot of advantage being a priority passenger from non priority. Suggest implement similar procedures to jet2. Would learn a lot."
Pros: "Flights ran to time"
Cons: "Some passengers were taking phone calls when the safety demonstration was being done."
Cons: "One hour late departure insufficient information Had to be bussed to plane negating any value for paying for priority Parked off stand at Birmingham had to use steps from plane and into terminal wife has arthritis and can’t carry bags I had to carry two bags down steps unable to use handrail really quite dangerous no apology re delay"
Pros: "Quicker flight late at night"
Cons: "Waiting on bus to terminal Almost missed last train."
Cons: "Staff were quite rude and didn't spend time explaining the delay we were having in English"
Pros: "Price and punctually."
Cons: "As mentioned being separated by the “ random computer choice of seats. We were put rows apart both with empty seats either side of us, we fly lots and only Ryanair and Jet2 do this."
Pros: "Honestly nothing, apart from welcome smile from crew..."
Cons: "dirty, overcrowded, seats even closer in my opinion (Boening 737-800), broken window cover, bad smell"
Pros: "You get what you pay for. No issues"
Cons: "The queue on the tarmac waiting to board but I realise they are trying to keep to schedule"
Pros: "Once the aircraft arrived the boarding and take off were fairly quick. The flight itself self was extremely quick and there was no hassle. Quite impressed with that."
Cons: "The flight was delayed initially with 2 hours. There was no notification by the airport. After 2 hours there was another hpur delay. Again there was no notification. We and the other passengers had to constantly last to the gatw screen to see any updates. We were left in the dark until the very moment we started boarding."
Pros: "Nothing -apart from the fact I eventually got to the destination I needed the same day!!"
Cons: "The delays. The lack of information. It became obvious we were not going to leave on time. But No announcement. nobody told us of the delay - or why. Then the conflicting information. Technical problems. Flight cancelled. Go to Ryan air deal to organise your own forward travel. Then - once back through Police & customs. No - flight going to happen!!! I have more to say about service & crew - but no space"
Pros: "Nothing really, it's a cheap ticket and that's it."
Cons: "Ridiculous boarding situation, expensive onboard food and beverage. Upright seats. Advanced check in always seats your group apart to encourage you to purchase seats. Budget airline that trust to milk their clients for every penny. Only use them if no other option."
Pros: "Priority boarding"
Cons: "The delay in boarding particularly as no explanation was given."
Cons: "Seats doesnt recline Nobody from the company to ask situation We los all conections and paids hotels"
Pros: "Uncomplicated flying."
Cons: "I planned to eat on the plane so bought nothing onboard with me. By the time the cart got to me there was no food left. I had no option but to buy some crackers for my meal. The moral of the story: buy food to take with you!"
Pros: "Was quick and easy"
Pros: "We got there on time,"
Cons: "- Surliness of staff especially at the gate: some passengers were queuing for the wrong flight and gate staff did very little to ensure that the risk of this was highlighted to others. Consequently when boarding some people were turned away as they should have been elsewhere - Unecessary split seats - New cabin baggage rules - caused delay at the gate and could have been avoided by asking people to check in the excess earlier as other airlines do."
Pros: "For the price what is there to complain about."
Pros: "Price and punctuality"
Cons: "Families have to pay extra to sit together. Children should automatically be seated with their parents. Basic safeguarding standards should be priority, not making more money out of necessity."
Cons: "The smell on the toilet was horrendous"
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "Sitting with a stranger"
Cons: "Don’t like the underhand Ryanair pricing"
Cons: "Automatically being allocated seats apart from each other"
Pros: "Staff tried hard in view of the delay"
Cons: "Food was lukewarm, didnt like the self check in at the airport for checked in bags"
Pros: "We landed 10 minutes earlier than expected"
Cons: "We paid £80 a person which is over double what it costs us to fly there with vueling on less notice They then moved the boarding location after everyone had lined up causing us to loose out place in the queue They made us check our cabin bags which we were warned could happen but is never appreciated The seats were uncomfortable and very cramped for leg room The touched down while not totally their control was very harsh and a panel over the engine actually slid open on touch down which is a little concerning There was also a 20 minute delay taking off"
Pros: "It was nearly on time. Only ten minutes late."
Cons: "Pilot wasn't keen on communicating with us poor passengers. Where were we flying? What speed? What were we passing over? Perhaps that information would cost extra."
Pros: "The staff were pleasant and helpful on board I didn’t have any food and there wasn’t any entertainment"
Cons: "I didn’t like that there was absolutely nobody at the airport to answer any questions or just guide you in the right direction"
Pros: "Nothing, taxi plane, expectations not high"
Cons: "Cramped seating, flight delay, time waiting at the boarding gate."
Pros: "Crew were tactful but effective in dealing with stags and hens on board"
Cons: "Noise level due to boisterous passengers Not Ryanair's fault Absurdly high cost of checked luggage"
