KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Leeds to Southampton

  • There are limited flights from Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) to Southampton Eastleigh Airport (SOU), and unfortunately, none are direct. Aurigny, the flag carrier for Guernsey, offers some service with connections at Guernsey Saint Peter Port (GCI), while AerLingus provides a couple of flights requiring stopovers at Dublin Airport (DUB).
  • Transdev operates FLYER service on three routes that connect Leeds (A1), Bradford and Harrowgate (A2) to Leeds Bradford Airport via national rail links. Fast and direct, it’s the most convenient public transport option when you prefer to save a few quid on Short or Long Term airport parking fees.
  • Pass the time before takeoff with a beverage, meal, or a good book at one of Leeds Bradford Airport’s three lounges. The Yorkshire Lounge offers a snack buffet, and White Rose Lounge provides runway views if you enjoy plane-spotting. The 1432 Lounge offers first-class comfort with premium cuisine and refreshments.
  • If you're travelling with limited mobility and require some help in transit, the Service Assistance team is on hand at Leeds Bradford Airport. We recommend contacting the airport in advance if you need personal assistance or mobility aids; then, you can relax as you are accompanied from the parking lot to your seat on the flight. In addition, you can go to the Terminal Front Express help desk if you need a wheelchair on the fly.
  • You can bypass long queues at Leeds Bradford Airport security checkpoints with a Fast Track pass. Book them at least one hour before arrival at the airport, and if you’re travelling with any kids under age 12, they can join you in the express line free of charge. Pre-person discounts also apply whenever you reserve airport parking.

The baggage drop-off in Stuttgart is bad: after online check-in you cannot use the automated baggage drop off as indicated on the website. You can use the terminals but have to cue to 1 of three open and slowly working counters to drop the bags. took about 45 minutes wait time.

Our first flight was delayed so we missed our connecting flight. However it was easy to book a later flight on their app.

Klm start boarding while somw air issue in the plan

I appreciate that KLM was proactive in informing me of the 2 hour delay which enabled me to replan my travel. It was a bit stressful not knowing whether my connection from Montreal to Ottawa was happening. But the ground and air crew did a good job at comforting and assuring me.

Cabin crew professional, polite and friendly, boarding was seemless, but come on KLM surely you can do better than a pack of cheesy biscuits as an inflight snack

Cabin crew were excellent, very proffesional, polite and friendly, in flight snack was underwhelming, a packet of cheese biscuits, im sure KLM could run to a sandwich!

This portion of the flight was through Indigo. A local carrier. So all economy seating. No real service some refreshments for purchase standard economy stuff.

Transfer at Amsterdam airport is very convenient and the airport is easy to navigate. Boarding was also quick and easy. Cabin crew were excellent and the meals were good, although lacking in options.

This fight left ahead of time which meant it arrived early which was great. Staff were very professional, but as with all these Short hop Flights the food was a disappointing snack There was no entertainment on this flight, but I did not expect any

I flew premium economy and this was a good option. Although the seats didn’t recline much, I was able to get some sleep with my head propped against the window. The food was good and the entertainment was wonderful The staff were very attentive and professional

Comfortable trip , flight attendants professional as always. Only complaint was the food, We fly Aer Lingus frequently, this was the first time the quality of the meal was poor.

I appteciate the very courteous staff. The flight was good. Something that wasn't good was that my bag was only checked as far as Dublin and I had a connecting flight to Vienna. (That was a mistake the ORD desk made.) Fortunately the desk at DUB was able to re-tag without me having to re-check in (which initially it seemed I might have to do.)

I wish Aer Lingus offered free wifi and had power outlets at the seats. Overall, the flight was good. Seat back entertainment had some interesting options. Food and snack options were mediocre at best. I enjoyed the canned red wine.

I had an awful experience at the ticketing agent stand. I had purchased three tickets, one of which I had the maiden name of a passenger on the ticket. They refused to help, assist, and actually delayed our process and had us miss an opportunity to purchase a ticket on the same flight. I was sent through multiple phone calls, none of which helped, and the person at the counter was the person who told me to both call Aer Lingus for help and was the person who said they could not fulfill my request that they were privy to from the beginning. My partner is still stuck in Scotland, racking up thousands of dollars in additional fees and tickets. I am very upset and two of my tickets went unused. I will never be using Aer Lingus ever again and I will continue to complain about them.

This was the most expensive economy flight per minute of flight time ever. But the quality was lacking. Extremely Aer Lingus rude staff at LHR said that the flight from London to Dublin (Ireland) was “NOT international.” Horrified at the colonial and imperial perspective. Seats were dirty with trash in seat pockets. Airline doesn’t clean or care about hygiene and safety.

The Nice airport was a horrible boarding experience. I have never experienced the kind of compressed mob (in the B12-B17 gate area) of people all unclear what was happening and no airport staff to assist. There was no signage and 1000’s of people waiting for any info for 2 hours.

Weeeeeeell, you folks know economy class on Airbuses well--you're packed in like sardines. We may actually spring for more expensive seats next time, with a little room to stretch out. NO room to stretch out in Airbus economy class! :-) Apart from this, the food was decent (considering that it's mass-produced, and has severe spatial restrictions of its own), the staff were friendly enough, and there was a wide selection of movies, etc. to watch. Overall, I'd tend to use the word "adequate" rather than "exceptional" for my experience. But really, how could it be otherwise?

The ease of boarding was good. I wish they had something to eat on the plane.

Really helpful staff at the airport and the flight was comfortable with good entertainment options and food service

I would definitely use a Linus again, the price was right, the service is excellent. No delays. Wish I had a direct flight from my hometown Detroit.
