KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from London Heathrow Airport to Nuremberg

  • London airports cater very well for passengers travelling with children. They offer a range of services such as nursing rooms, baby changing areas, and information about which cafes in Departures can help you heat bottles or food. The main difference worth considering is the size of the airport. Heathrow (LHR), being the largest in the country, is a lot more work to get through than Stansted (STN) or Luton (LTN).
  • London airports are very well organised for passengers with additional needs, including those with hidden disabilities. If you need assistance, simply alert your airline at least 48h in advance of travel. Additionally, each of the London airports operates a lanyard system whereby you can wear a lanyard to alert staff that you might need help or more time to get through security.
  • Gatwick has a designated quiet route through the airport and quiet areas in Departures for people with sensory issues. Heathrow and Stansted both have quiet areas in Departures. Contact assistance desks in each airport to access services.
  • There’s only one terminal at Nuremberg, with two departure halls and one arrivals hall. They are all linked and easy to walk between.
  • If you want to get some cash, there are plenty of currency exchange services and international ATMs that take UK bank cards in the Nuremberg arrivals hall.
  • If you are looking for an unusual gift at the airport, pilots from the Air Sports Group at Nuremberg offer cost-price scenic flights around the region for visitors. There is also a great observation deck open to the public and free to access.

Outstanding even though the 330 was one of the oldest in the fleet. The difference was the attentiveness and responsiveness of a really experienced flight attendant. For airline food great variety of interesting choices and good tastes supported by a good wine selection.

It was really nice journey i personally recommend klm flight

Crew is not the cheerful type. very slow meal service (this is their style as have flown this many times)

Empty seats next to me - wish it had been for a longer flight!!

At the airport, terrible, I do not want to even remember it. It was too humiliating for a business class passenger.

Flight was ok but lack of communication cost me to literally beg to be put on another flight as connecting flight had departed

Couldn’t get boarding pass in SLC even with help from a redcoat, so had to find a desk in AMS to get boarding pass. Technical problems so not sure why. Very inconvenient. The KLM app is not as user friendly as most apps. Also had to wait almost an hour on the tarmac for a fuel truck, which caused us to miss a connecting bus in LUX.

The immigration hall in Amsterdam was understaffed, so passport checking was slower than it should be for a major airport. They need to get the automatic readers up and running for non EU passport holders. Waiting in line after a long flight feels a bit abusive.

First of all we couldn’t check in online, then we learn at the airport we were on stand by for KLM’s mistake of overbooking. The seats were not comfy at all. Our luggage got lost.

Ad experience - been flying many years with them but they are losing out to other carriers with their service and bagage / seating policy. My 2 12-yo kids were not placed with the parent. Absurdity.

Never took the flight due to strikes which happens but there was no timely coordination to find me new flights. I had to call Lufthansa and Kayak support only to be given no good options and a 75% refund. Ended up spending way more for alternative flights that I coordinated myself for a trip I had booked 6 months prior.

Definitely get premium economy on a flight this long if you can. Your legs and while body will thank you.

I upgraded to the business class cabin. It was the poorest business class I have ever experienced. No access to any business lounge in Tampa airport. Seats are not comfortable. I had a window seat and had to step/crawl over the next seat. Food was mediocre and service below average for business class. Bathroom location was ridiculous. No place to wait. I cannot believe I paid this kind of money and will never fly Lufthansa Discover again. They really should reimburse me somehow.

I liked the professional service that began with the information and continued with boarding and the service on board. I recommend you to use the late-night checkin the day before your flight. It made traveling so much better and more pleasant.

Boarding was disorganized. The door to one to the toilets wouldn’t lock. The plane was shockingly cramped, and clearly used for domestic flights due to the menus for items to sell domestic travelers. United should be ashamed of its small seats, tiny unclean toilets, and money grubbing stance toward services, compared to Lufthansa, Emirates, and most international carriers United is awful.

My flight was cancelled on April 15th due to Lufthansa strike. You basically lost customer since it was important for me to reach Poznan due to my friend’s terminal illness. I rebooked my flight with KLM and will travel with this airline in the future.

Was terri le experience with gate lufthansa personal at Frakfurt.

The flight was cancelled which wasn't Kayak's fault. But Kayak does owe me a refund because I paid for this flight twice and was supposed to get the refund for the first booking/payment to Lufthansa. There will be litigation of this issue because of protections under the law.

Original Lufthansa flights were canceled and the alternative route that was offered required cab transfer in New York from JFK to Newark at my own expense. Who can refund these $218?

flight was packed, had to check my carryon bag, tiny snack bag offered, but we arrived on time and thats what counts

The map feature on the display at the seat had challenges. The biggest issue was the flight had no WIFI. Most of the smaller planes now have free WIFI. American Airlines on the flight over had WIFI you could purchase. With 8-10 hours on a single flight, the ability to do work via WIFI is essential!!

A shout-out to the flight attendent, Lauren, who was the main person assisting me. She was amazing - perfect balance of bright, cheerful, engaging, yet formal

Cramped seating but standard in all smaller aircrafts today no matter what airlines. Crew very helpful, friendly & attentive so makes up for that.

Wonderful business class flight in a lovely new plane with an excellent crew

OK, except for a cabin attendant's lack of attention.

efficient. on time. cabin crew were very professional and very nice to deal with. would definately fly BA again.

It was great overall. A few slight improvements could be made on the onboarding process at the Gates with announcements and clarity of communications (both at the gate and in flight). The movies in the entertainment options could be improved for bollywood, hollywood.

I alrady responded to this request, and expllaned at length that this was the worst flying experience in my 77 years. I will NEVER fly BA again.

Airbus A350 is poorly designed for wheelchair users and reduced mobility passengers. The angle of the pods makes it awkward to transfer. I was able to but I have ab stability. It could be a real challenge for people with more severe mobility impairments. You'd think Airbus would have come up with a solution for this or thought more about us disabled folks more when designing this aircraft.

The crew has always been great on BA. They are very friendly and accommodating. I like that they have vegetarian options already in the menu. And the free wine is a nice perk.) I noticed (both directions of my trip) minor upgrades/ replacements needed on the plane itself (touch screen didn't work with touch; bathroom light didn't go on). However, this is one of my favorite airlines.
