Five star experience all around except for my seat, which was broken. It would only go down 70%.Of the way. It defeats the purpose of buying a business class ticket if you don’t actually get to lay flat..

WiFi would have been nice and some more powerful usb ports, available ports could not keep my phone’s charge much less charge the phone.
Not so good. I paid for a preference economic seat, and I couldn’t incline it back because it was blocked. They explained me that because is the last before emergency exit. The company new that but it was not explained in the seat selection
It was on time. Snacks could have been provided for free.
Tirana was crazy check in and getting bussed to another gate. Both Germany stops were intensive customs but organized, but that wasn't the airlines problem. The crews were fabulous on the planes. The announcements were not easy to understand in English, slurred speech. Customs inthe US were fast. We waited for luggage, three later arriving planes had their luggage and left before us
Business class old style from 10 years ago. Ok for short flights but nor for 12 hours journey. The passenger near the window have to jump over the passenger seat aisle side or wake him up to upright the seat. That’s not the business class that you expect on long night flight. Seats are not so confortable. And believe it or not no wifi!
We have travelled on 13 December with Austrian Airlines from Yangon through Bangkok and Vienna to Varna. The first flight operated by Thai Airlines was nice and comfortable. I wouldn’t say the same thing about the next two flights which were operated directly by the Austrian Airlines. During our flight from Bangkok to Vienna: > The service was very poor – serving of food and drinks was disorganized, late and not combined, the stewards were walking back and forth without doing anything substantial for the passengers. Even the morning breakfast was very late with a cup of coffee almost while landing (after a reminding). > The food itself was OK-ish but for a 12-hour flight, there were no snacks/bites in between dinner and breakfast as it is with the other airlines. > The cutlery was wooden, most probably recycling, but very unpleasant to eat with. > The stewards were not rude but not friendly and/or helpful > And also, half of the passengers had travel sets, others did not. The flight from Vienna to Varna was another surprise: firstly, the flight was late and secondly, they were serving only water free, even the coffee was paid, so were the snacks, but we had to pay to reserve seats. The whole experience is as if it was a low-cost airline. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend using the services of Austrian Airlines: the ticket prizes are quite the same as of the other carriers flying to this destination and you would have much pleasant time.
Friendly staff, always good food , as comfortable as it can be in economy
We didn’t fly into Neuark , because it departed without us . We ran to a closed gate , and no staff to assist, then to a customer service center that was also closed, then briskly walked (20mins) to another customer center and got a ticket , waited 2 hours , got a flight to JFK instead, because of the time delay we Ran to catch our train home , and again our luggage arrived 3 days later delivery time at 3:45 in the MORNING!!!! Crazy!!!!!! Took a few days to shake off this disappointment of your service. You’re an embarrassment to customer service .
Straight forward checking as long as you have completed every single detail online, prior to checking day. Efficient boarding, seating is ok for a two hour flight. Fulfilledour travel requirements from Manchester to Marseille.
I couldn’t understand the aircraft tannoy announcements I was in seat 20C - nobody in our row could either. Speakers a bit too quiet plus messages read out too fast. Otherwise excellent flight. (Flight delayed by 50 mins)
I bought my flight, insurance etc early and paid over £200. But had i waited until closer the time the price was much cheaper, i appreciate that it could've been more expensive but it wasn't. A better discount for booking early would be better than your current one
ontime and super quick boarding and disembarking. I made it in 6 min from airplane through passport control to the train platformin Cologne. Amazingly quick airport.
On time boarding, on time departure and early arrival. As it should be. Yes, the comfort and benefits are very poor, but therefore the ticket is 6 times cheaper than with a flag carrier. So I am not complaining about it. You get what you pay for.
They lost a bag and now our vacation is ruined
Boarding was fast and efficient. The crew was super friendly. Since it’s a budget airline and it’s a short flight, I can’t expect food or entertainment.
Boarding waiting outside in storm and rain is not OK
There plane had a technical pricken so we had to disembark, but the replacement aircraft was provided within one hour so there was not much delay.
Miserable staff did not want to be there. Very poor atmosphere boarding. Then just basic flight.
The flight was delayed by an hour. Made the connection uncomfortably tight.
When we went to the lounge they told us to go into the main lounge and not the full business class section, later they told me that Lufthansa wont pay the full fee to alloq the business class passengers entry to the nicer sectikn where all the other airlines nusiness class passengers go into. Very poor arrangement.
This is my second time to fly this year with Lufthansa and both times they dropped the ball. My ticket was very cheap and l would not be honest if l said that l had some high expectations for that price. Fly delay 6 hours. Screen in fey seats around me didn’t work. Food for dinner was ok but breakfast was so poor. We had connection in Frankfurt for Vienna. Because of delay they gave us fly with 30 min layover time. We got to Vienna but our baggage was late of course. Long story short it took us almost 24 hours to get to the final destination. Very bad experience
Not what I expected for the last leg of a $5100 business class experience. Boarding was a nightmare. The flight was delayed and I had to keep checking my email to ensure I was at the right gate since the airline or the terminal had no clue until 15 mins prior to boarding. Food was gross, limited drink options.
Flights scheduled with impossible connections - Lufthansa apparently believes it takes 7mins to change terminals, go through passport control, re-clear security and walk 1.8kms…..and everything will work perfectly (which it never does at Frankfurt). No staff on hand to assist with transfers on delayed flights. No transfer guidance provided by app. No compensation offered for 6hr delay to connecting flight.
I arrived late in Frankfurt and I had to catch my flight to Vienna and I was running late because when I was landing the flight to Vienna was boarding. I had to go through immigration and then I had to wait in a long line to take a bus to a terminal where my flight to Vienna was taking off. However, I truly didn't think I would make it. I was literally running through the whole airport and when I stopped to ask at one of the Austrian Airlines gates they were rude because they didn't have the time to support me.
Crew were friendly and very helpful Plane was clean and the legroom is standard. Overall a good flight, no complaints.
Zero legroom or space in economy. Flight was delayed into Munich causing a missed connecting flight and other missed bookings. :(
They were late and I missed my flight for Chicago. Terrible experience with Austrian airline this time.
We were delayed so long that I missed the next flight. I should’ve arrived in Catania at 4 o’clock and arrived at 1 AM. The late departure was due to a water leak due to a dirty filter, according to the flight staff, and that seems like something that should’ve been taken care of before the flight. It’s too simple of a mechanical problem to make you miss the whole day.
