Go British Air. The nonstop flight is a huge bonus as there are very few such flights to Europe from Pittsburgh. Study the Underground and use it for transportation while there. After you’ve seen the most famous London sights, visit one of the smaller museums, like the John Soames Museum or the Leighton House Museum. Have a drink at the bar on the top floor of the National Portrait Gallery.

I was very disappointed with my experience at the United Airlines baggage check. The representative was rude and unhelpful. I was required to remove approximately 1.5 pounds from my two checked bags, even though it was a very small amount over the limit. The interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant, and I expected much better customer service. I hope United will review this incident and provide additional customer service training to its staff.

Cree was organized and pleasant. Plane had good seating but as it’s a shuttle toilets hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned (eg. bins too full)

Some flight attendants were great others were cranky. Seats were very tight and sitting on an aisle was very hard as the carts and people walking constantly bumped shoulder and arm.

Although the flight was delayed the crew and the flight itself were very good. Couldn't fault anything and after the disappointment of being abandoned in the US by BA it was a welcome relief to travel with United

Liked fold flat bed. Didn’t like having no window. Didn’t like poor choice of food and being served dinner very late, hours after take off of a 7:40pm flight. Servers not friendly. Food horrible in business class.

The flight was heavily booked so boarding was a lengthy process. The FA’s were rather abrupt during this process but became more gracious as the flight went on. Breakfast (puffed pastry and chewy sausage) was pretty horrible but there was fruit and yogurt which they didn’t mess up. Overall it was fine.

Fight was delayed an hour due to operational issues ,then further delayed due to ground control for a total of about 1.30 hours. Salad was completely frozen and flatware was so cold you could barely handle it. Crew was friendly and professional and the flight was smooth. The aircraft was clean and well-serviced.

Waited for our plane from HNL so we didn't miss connection. AMAZING Service for that, then really clean plane. Nice airline attendants.

Horrible! I paid for a straight flight from Chicago to London. A week before trip it changed and now I had a connecting flight. Our flight was delayed an hour and a half because our flight crew was still flying in from CA. Forty passengers ran from one plane to the next. The next United Airlines flight was delayed two to three hours because of mechanical difficulties. They had to ready another plane which took time. I missed my scheduled excursion in London. 😢

Lufthansa placed a 300 lb passenger in the aisle seat and I was stuck in the middle leaning sideways with no arm rest or ability to sit up straight and fully use my seat (due to encroachment-the seats are very narrow) the entire flight.

Comfort in premium economy is worth it for long hauls especially on the 787-9P Dreamliner with the modern updates. The food was okay. All 4 of us selected the same meal, 2 of us had very dry hard to cut chicken, the other 2 were tender and good. The sides/salad/dessert all very good as far as airline food goes. Crew were very attentive. Will be hard to ever go back to regular economy!

Crew was great! Food sub-bar, tepid & flavorless. No snack options on trans-atlantic flight. Premium Economy seats ok, leg rest wouldn’t stay in place.

Entertainment system did not function. USB ports did not function. Wi-Fi did not function. Terrible trifecta…

Luggage did not make it onto my plane. Business seats were economy with empty row seat. Just horrible experience. Why would the company allow for transfers that don’t give employees enough time to transfer luggages??

The check in agents in PHL and gate agents had to have been the rudest women that I have ever encountered; the agent weighing the bags at check in screamed continuously at all of the guests as did the woman at the gate.I have Executive Platinum status with AA and fly a lot with AA but these ladies were the absolute worst I had the displeasure to encounter!

My flight to London from Philadelphia was cancelled due to weather.

The flight was canceled 3 hours after original take off time

Again flight was awesome except British Airways lost both gate checked luggage’s. Still missing

Missed connection from Philadelphia to London because flight from DC was seriously delayed. Was re-routed the next day (had to pay for hotel) to Zurich and was given a main cabin middle seat while I had paid for premium. Great job AA!!!

So uncomfortable to sit in the tiny space on a long, international. Food was rough. Please, less white flour and processed food.

The flight kept getting delayed, but the ground crew did not communicate well to the passengers in the terminal. First, we were told that it was an engine issue. That was understandable. We asked, after the third delay, if it would be canceled; they reassured us that that would not happen because a new plane was on its way from Washington DC. Four hours later, that is exactly what happened. No announcement was made only people who had the JetBlue app learned of the cancellation. They rebooked us on a flight that would get into our destination 36 hours after our original time I had to spend an exorbitant amount of money to book an additional flight with a different airline, the following morning in order to make it to my conference in time. Not to mention the fact that by the time I discovered the cancellation on the departures board, it was too late for me to receive a refund on my lodging in the destination city for that night. Because I had booked with KAYAK, I did not receive any JetBlue email with rebooking information. This is what the information information desk kept telling everyone who inquired about a rebooking. This was my first time flying with JetBlue. Needless to say, after extremely poor communication andover $1000 of additional expense later, I will not be flying with them again.

We were several hours delayed due to confusion during boarding. Evidently the crew could not match the manifest with the boarded customers. After significant time trying to find individuals on board, a crew member walked through the entire plane re-scanning each of our boarding passes. Then we had to wait for a new slot to depart, and when we landed, our gate was not ready. It was a complete goat rodeo from start to finish.

Flight is delayed by more than an hour without any reason, the jet blue gates kept changing every 20 mins and there is no proper communication. No ear phones provided in flight, there is a screen with entertainment but what is the use, I have earphones but the console has outdated audio connections, no usb C or bluetooth, they are living 15 years behind

Horrible. Flight was cancelled, jet blue app not working to rebook, no phone number available to call Jet Blue, 400 ish people in line for the help desk, stuck in Boston for 2 more days had to book new flight with a different airline and still not sure if I will be able to get any refund.

Flight was cancelled, no support at JFK even though it is their main hub.. wait times on the phone was very long

The food took two hours to be delivered to my seat, when I'm on an overnight flight I want to sleep asap after take off

They lost my luggage and refuse to help. Terrible airline. I've never experienced worse customer service in my life. Pretty much just told me too bad that I lost all my luggage, not caring that I am stuck in Europe for 2 weeks with absolutely nothing.

Flight was fine, price was good but food onboard was abysmal. I was on there for breakfast and lunch and dinner 845am EST to 845pm GMT and all I got was a yoghurt parfait, fruit and a piece of cake. Later snacks included an ice-cream brownie and a pizza twist. I was hungry by the time I landed and the airport amenities were closed. Not happy.

I especially liked the lead crew officer. His boarding and safety announcements were made with a bit of novelty and humor. The flight also left the gate 10 minutes early and we landed about 20 minutes early… It was a delightful flight…

As with all airline's seats, a little more padding would appreciated. Especially on longer flights.

The food on the flight was of marginal quality. Small bits of chicken, instant mashed potatoes and some carrots. The rolls were very dry, nearly inedible. The seats were quite small and didn’t allow for any shifting of position during the flight. There was limited leg room.0

It was fortunate that the flight arrived in London in accordance with schedule, and the luggage was promptly transferred to the luggage carousel. However, I find it concerning that even minor issues in economy cabins are prevalent within the industry. American Airlines, in particular, appears to have the least legroom and feels more crowded due to the proximity of neighboring passengers. Additionally, the crew’s adherence to protocol is inconsistent. While they may enforce certain rules set by the FAA on a select few individuals, they often overlook numerous violations, such as failing to reset seat recline during landing.

Chair is very high. Your feet cannot touch the ground for 8 hours flight. It was a nightmare. Food was bad.

Paid for my seat 4 months ago. Did not pay the extra for specific seat assignment ( never have and never was a problem). Could not electronically check in (found out it was due to overbooking and that unassigned seats get bumped first - never happened to me before). Luckily, did make the flight. Very stressful - would have been extremely disruptive for my travel plans. UK Visa - never notified by Kayak or BA that a visa was required. Had to spend 15 minutes to download and complete app at the flight counter and pay $25, and was told they would let me know in 3 days if I would get it (flight landing in 10 hours from when I completed app). Luckily, visa was approved before landing. Unnecessary stress created here. Food - main meal, curry chicken barely palatable with unrecognizable vegetable. Desert cup, cheesecake, also barely palatable. Salad cup was good. Small water offered only 3 times (before main meal, at main meal, at morning snack) - not nearly enough for long flight.

From boarding, to attention in flight, I couldn’t fault it.

The flight was delayed twice. When the crew explained about the debris causing flat tires, I was glad they took the time to change all four.

The seats were way too crowded. Just because I do not have the luxury of a suite, does not mean that I want to fly from Austin to London scrunched between two people and the seat in front of me in my face. Ridiculous. I should have flown with Turkish Airlines...

Paid for “extra room” selected seat. Wasn’t a benefit. Also was in aisle and was bumped almost every time attendants walked down aisle. Should have saved the assigned seat money and let them select.

very good all round. staff, food, entertainment, punctuality all very good

The cabin crew were great very helpful and accommodating. We had a fellow passenger throw up next to us. The flight crew did an amazing job cleaning up and reseating us. We did question as to if he should have been let on the flight as his condition was likely self imposed.

Boarding process was chaotic. Confusion over Boarding gates: gate 55 or gate 56 ???. Unnecessary standing in long lines to board. Better to call out Boarding groups one at a time and everyone else to sit. Airline only has 2 Boarding groups 1-3 and 4-9. That causes over crowding and chaos

3.5 hr delay leaving Pittsburgh, notifications for which were incomplete and untimely. Connecting flight was automatically switched to one requiring more than a 30 hour layover! After waiting in a long queue, customer service reduced layover to 11 hours and also set up an earlier standby. The standby had empty seats, but the gate agent couldn't change our tickets! On top of all that my luggage was lost and has yet to even be located, much less returned 5 (FIVE!) days later. Too bad there's no rating below poor.

I have always been pleased with their service. Would not change a thing

My flight was late. We stayed in aircraft one hour 😩

The seats (upgraded exit row), were the last comfortable plane seats my wife or I have ever experienced. Too narrow to turn at all to find a sleeping position. Devoid of cushioning to the point of feeling the frame bars across both the seat and the back. It was extremely uncomfortable and neither of us slept on the red eye.

We were on flight for 7 hrs and there was no WiFi. Not really easy to use any of our electronics. Def not ideal

Economy class has no legroom so if you have the money worth to upgrade! Food was absolutely horrible! The crew was super nice!!!!!

First time flying with BA and I will do it again. Staff at airport and on board were very nice and helpful

- OK plane. Basic accommodations. OK food. The digital window shade wasn't working. - Expect to be woken up more than an hour before landing when they start dinging the bell and making announcements and turning on all cabin lights to serve a snack. I would prefer they remain quiet and only serve people who want to wake up.

Overall, terrific service, accommodations, and experience. Only reason comfort was rated lower was because it was difficult to keep a comfortable sleeping position for the overnight flight, but I also had an economy seat.
