Cons: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

These are NORMAL seats and you charge an extra €30? - Normal (2 seats per row!): what a bargain. Same crappy seats, but two people instead of three! This is really worth my money. - Upgrade to business! Why are you so poor! AF food went from being the best in international flights to disgusting microwave food (especially vegetarian)."

The entertainment system didn't work (on the whole plane, for the duration of the whole flight) - no movies and no shows. The wifi could have been offered for free to enable people to entertain themselves through computers and tablets, but was not done so. Instead we were reminded that it is available (for a price of course)."

Add to the narrow seats is the design of the seat and armrests themselves and you don't have much space at all. No way I was going to be able to work on my laptop in this LATAM business class seat."

As a result, we had to exit the secured area in Rio to go check in manually again for our connection and then go through security and customs again."

This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had. The staff was disrespectful and would not help us. We ended up taking another flight until the following night!!"

Pros: "As always no issues at all, I reserved my seats early to get extra leg room which is always great. Fast boarding and a quick flight, having been on a long haul flight a few hours before I needed this to get home."

Pros: "It has to be said, the prices were good. But you do get what you pay for...… (in my case, a lot of extra time and stress)"
Cons: "Firstly Kayak is apparently actually LastMinute.Com? BA flight was OK, but not much different from a low-cost airline. Return leg had to be Ryanair and online check-in didn't work (ouch! - you have to pay extra to check in at the airport). I eventually found out (after frantic googling) that Kayak auto-generates an email address for you as part of the Ryanair booking process, and this is the one you need. I spent about 30 mins getting through to LM.Com overseas helpdesk trying to get hold of it. I also had to request hold baggage as a separate process and it took 10 days to confirm this had been arranged (again, I would have had to pay extra at the airport)."

Cons: "Lighting in the cabin No dedicated channel to board and to go through immigration on arrival"

Pros: "The service was above average but not excellent - with a nearly three-hour delay but of no great concern to me."
Cons: "For some reason, my frequent flyer points went to a BA account that was established because I have a previous "Delayed Fight Claim" with BA. I specifically didn't make mention of this account when I set up my account with Expedia because I wanted the points rewarded to my Qantas Account as has my previous BA flights."

Cons: "IFE screens are rather small for it being a brand new plane."

Cons: "I had a connecting flight from London to Madrid. Not only was the flight to London late over an hour, because of the security check point and liquid quantity confusion I was late to the connecting flight to Madrid and had to take a later flight which made me late to my meeting but on top of that I had to get rid of some of my stuff because it was over my limit on liquids. Very frustrating!"

Pros: "All BA staff were professional, pleasant and helpful. My seat had more leg room than I was expecting (after a flight Seattle to Heathrow where my knees were jammed against the seat ahead of me."
Cons: "I was frustrated that I had to pay for either a cup of coffee or water. Since all healthcare providers recommend that one must drink water on a flight to stay hydrated and healthy, a complimentary bottle of water would have supported healthy travel. Due to a short layover in Heathrow, I had no time to fill my own water bottle."

Cons: "Transfer at the Heathrow airport was such a hustle. Even though we had about hour and a half for transfer, take getting off board into consideration, we were on the run to our next gate for about 50 minutes without stopping, barely had a chance to use a restroom. Longer transfer period is needed most definitely. Also at least complimentary glass of water would be nice on the board."

Cons: "This is by far the worst business class experience ever. Really bad. Never seen business seat so tight. 2x4x2 configuration in business is just not acceptable."

Cons: "The online check-in didn't work, the phone customer service only answered after a 20 min hold and was unhelpful, the seats were so close that the seat in front of me hit me in the head when the woman sitting in it reclined, and the gate attendant was rude. People taking this flight and expecting to do work or watch the in-flight entertainment shouldn't. There is not enough space to use your laptop and when the person in front of you reclines while you are trying to read, not only won't you be able to read but you won't be able to watch a movie either (unless you are very short) since the screen is tilted accordingly."

Cons: "I was sleeping during meal time and when I woke up an hour later they told me that my meal was now below the temperature that they're allowed to serve it because it's dangerous. so I got bread instead. It's ridiculous either they serve me half the meal still frozen and the other half too hot too touch or it's considered unsafe."

Cons: "Massively cramped seating. BA needs to work out if it is the national carrier or a budget airline. The seat back of the passenger in front, when reclined, basically trapped me in my seat and made the entertainment screen very hard to see.The crew were efficient but quite rude to the passenger next to me when she hesitated over a meal choice. I will go quite a long way out of my way to avoid traveling on BA in the future, based on this experience."

Cons: "The most tightest and uncomfortable plane ride in my life. Stop flying your customers on such an awful plane especially executive club members."

Cons: "Lack of assistance regarding my missing belongings. Incorrect information relating to landing card to be completed when arriving in London. Stretching over me to pass food etc to passenger sitting facing other direction, and literally millimetres from my face, without any politeness having to do it. Configuration gives no privacy as you look at the passenger next to you. Functions of chair did not work. Pillow was thinner Than a piece of paper. Crew showed no concern."

Cons: "Seat backs are too thin. You feel every time the person behind you goes into the pocket."

Pros: "Great crew good service, except a little unorganized at the gate. Best service I've gotten compared to other airlines I've experienced."
Cons: "Food was a little cold. Sitting in the middle of the row is the worst most uncomfortable in economy."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled because I missed the first half of a round-trip flight, even though I phoned several times to explain that I still wanted to use the return trip. This practice seems almost criminal. I paid for the flight, I should have been able to use it."

Cons: "Aircraft at least in our section was very cold the whole flight. My young son was very cold even in a sweatshirt. I was very cold in a sweater, shirt, and jeans. I asked a crew member if they might have a blanket to cover my son, he brusquely replied “No blankets, no pillows!” So we just froze for 5.5 hours."

We were informed thatcher would have to wait 24hours (after an already 7 hour layover) to catch another flight to Los Angeles. After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."

Pros: "The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible."
Cons: "Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Cons: "I didn't like anything else about the flight. My seat was broken and the seats are incredibly cramped! Absolutely no leg room whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall which is an average male height so I can't imagine how anyone taller fits in those seats."

Cons: "Film selection was subpar, and had no subtitles available. Flight safety information video so unbelievably boring. Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled, then rebooked three times, when I finally was able to fly almost 24 hours later, the flight was delayed by over an hour. Not acceptable service at all. Not interested in ever flying with American again."

Pros: "Arrived to the airport well ahead of time and encountered lines so long that we were not able to make our flight. Only 2 attendants working and so many people had to be rebooked we didn't get another flight for 3 days. Did I mention I was traveling with a baby?"

Cons: "I did not fly I lost my flight they had a problem with the airplane on my flight from brasilia to sao paulo so I arrived late lost the connection to my other flight from Sao Paulo to LAX. Also they lost my luggage. LATAM and American Air Lines doesnt know where my luggage is. I arrived at my LAX 12 hours after. They still dont know where my luggage is"

Cons: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"

Cons: "There was a problem which they could repair before the flight. We were in the plain on ground for 2 hours delay, not even offered a drink, we saw the crew drink. The service was bad, they treated the passengers with terrible disrespect. Very frustrating and disappointing !!!!"

Cons: "The crew definitely needs to be changed. There needs to be hostesses who are more attentive and actually care about their passengers."

Cons: "How does American think it can get away with a mediocre business class fitting and charge the same as Lufthansa and United? In this flight, the did recline 170º but formed a ramp that did slowly slide the passenger under the set in front of him. I'd recommend someone from AA should fly Lufthansa Business Class or Singapore Airlines Business to check out how it should be done! ANd then, flying a beaten up 777-200er while its competitors fly 787 is nonhing but a shame!"
