Flight was late! Why ? No one seemed to know. Looks like the planes windows were never cleaned. My phone camera refused to take a picture of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Very terrible airline. The flights were delayed for long hours and the customer service is terrible. Never flying with Kenya Airways again.
No complaints just improve on the food service. Provide enough dinner. People are complaining about that.
A child was loud throughout which made the trip less than optimal. Crew was great and professional. They need to change the automatic seat belt announcement which is too loud and had other unneeded words like "this is XYZ announcement number one'
Terrible. Flew from Rwanda to Nairobi for transfer then on to Madagascar. Kenya Airways does not like to park at a gate. They park on the outskirts requiring a bus shuttle. That part is okay, but the bus drops you off outside of security. If I did not skip to the front of the line with my remaining half hour connection, I would have missed my flight. Complete security check plus taking off of shoes had to be completed (again). I made it to Madagascar, but my checked bag decided to take a trip to Dubai. I know tag on luggage was to Madagascar. No one can figure out how it made it to Dubai, except for incompetence. Even though I knew it was in Dubai, they would not allow a tracking to be done until Kenya Airways had the opportunity to get it on the next flight to Madagascar. Did not happen of course! I took 3 flights with Kenya Airways during this journey. Everyone of them had something go wrong. Please look elsewhere for another airline which I will be doing in the future.
Great staff. Horribly uncomfortable seating. The seats have been replaced 10 years ago. It was like sitting on an ironing board for 15 hours. This was true for both legs of the round trip flights. Would not take Kenya Airways between New York and Nairobi ever again.
Seriously one of the most disappoint experiences I have ever had when flying. My flight got delayed FIVE hours. Nobody wanted to help at the airport (“this is Kenyan booking, we cannot do anything”). I got on the phone with someone from Kenyan for one hour until he finally moved my ticket to a Delta ticket. Then the painful journey restarted - the Delta crew in land kept saying there was no other flight and ai had to wait. An agent called Gerard Robert was being so sarcastic I felt humiliated. He would say things like “you say you understand what I am saying but you are not understanding what so am saying”. I asked him to please speak in a less sarcastic tone and he said “I am not going to speak with you anymore, go find someone else”. These were his words. Tired, after 14 hours in a plane, I just wanted to cry. I looked for another agent, who was an angel and rebooked me to another flights. Thanks to her, I made it to my meeting in Washington-DC. I am going to send a formal complaint to Delta about agent Gerard Robert. It is not fair to speak with customers in that cynical, sarcastic tone. If one works in customer service, it ia important to mind that tones can make people feel humiliated. And turning the back to a customer by saying “Go find someone else” can’t be part of his training.
Apart from delay of 3 hrs in Nairobi for onward flight to Dar all fine. Looked like operational issues caused it.
The flight attendants on this flight were incredible! One even gave me her own dinner when my special meal order wasn’t transferred due to a flight delay! She insisted and I was so grateful. That is going above and beyond! The issue I had with the flight was with Lufthansa support. I missed my connection due to a flight delay and they wouldn’t rebook online, only in person. This took a lot of time and visits to the airport waiting for a Lufthansa agent to arrive 5 hours later than posted and almost paying full-fare price for the new flights and refusal to add my special meal orders. It made for a challenging journey home and I didn’t feel valued as a customer.
The flight never took off. We sat on the tarmac for over two hours due to an electrical fault and finally the flight was cancelled. We were told that hotels would be organised but there was no further communication. In the end I retrieved my baggage and went to the car park to pick up my car and drive home. It cost me over £150 to park the car for two weeks, plus of course petrol, and over £600 for the four flights and £50 for the travel visa. All gone up in my smoke. I’m bitterly disappointed that my business Trip was cancelled and have been told I will get a “partial refund” within three months!!! What a way to treat a customer.
