They try to upsell with the claim that your car won't be ready for another 45 minutes when you show up on time, Initially they say they'll upgrade you for a better car for $25 more and you'll get that car right away, failing to initially mention that they actually mean $25 per day.Reviewed 26 Jun 2026

Booked a car the day before rental to start. Got confirmation email. Later in evening, apparently got an email that they were cancelling rental, as “car was not available.” Did not see email until in airport, in layover, before final leg of trip. Just luck I noticed it. Do not rent a car, if you don’t have the car to rent. The way you would want a company to respond would be as follows: “We apologize to inform you that the vehicle class you booked is unavailable - for your rental period. So, we have instead upgraded your rental to the next, higher rental class. We appreciate your business.” That’s it. THAT’s how you handle it. Please see the Jerry Seinfeld episode about rental cars…. Unfortunately, that scorched my desire to ever use them again.Reviewed 14 Apr 2025

When we arrived, my car was not available. Instead of compact, they tried 2 give me an SUV for more money. They had my flight number so knew when it arrived. Staff was not helpful & kept telling us to contact company by email. Would not refund my money. I finally left & rented a car from Enterprise. I will NEVER use Nu again.Reviewed 28 Oct 2024
